Have only been a subscriber for just over a month and a half, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If you have disabilities that require you to use braces or hooks to be able to hold weights, they will allow you to use them. The hydrotherapy beds will make you feel like you didnt even work out, completely erasing all muscle soreness. My only gripe is that they advertise 50% off of drinks if youre a black card member, but a Gatorade is still $1... Feels like it should be less, but I guess thats arbitrary. Great gym!

This isnt my usual location. I dont like the setup at all I hate all the walls and the showers remind me too much of jail. It was hair everywhere, I couldnt do it. My favorite is the oak park location or 8 Mile and Woodward.

Came to Planet Fitness for the first time again since about 4 years, and had so much anxiety but that all went away once I stepped in. The employees are professional & upbeat. So many machines and added features which can also be intimidating but they tell you how to operate each machine on the equipment. You see individuals of every shape and size, from those that are super fit to others who are trying to get in shape but everyone minds their own business. Makes me feel more comfortable. I felt so relaxed & motivated coming here. Will surely keep coming back to this location.

My 17 year old son and i went here for our first time. The employees were very polite, extra helpful, and were overall great to us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes to workout or anyone that is looking for a place to go 👍💜

Worst location in this area. Manager is very rude unfriendly.This gym is not clean. Manager also lies to customers. He tries to charge you for everything, He would probably try to charge you for a new scan card if he could. My friends and I all transferred our memberships to other location.Dont waste your time or your money

I love My Gym, theyre very polite and helpful when needed. Workers there also leave you be and let you do your own thing, staying in the zone, jamming out with headphones and sweating the pounds away.

This location gets crowded at peak times and the bathrooms can get a little unkept but overall, its a good location.

Had to cancel my membership due to tyrants not wanting to follow their own policy!! Trying to make me wear a mask while working out!! (When their own rules say must wear a mask EXCEPT while actively working out!!) How insane does that sound!! How many athletes have passed out from that exact thing?? Tried posting this several times and seems to get lost well I made a few accounts now and will make sure they know that they dont follow their own policy!! Rediculas!! What is this world coming too!! GOD help US ALL!!

This is my favorite location. The worker are very professional, friendly and willing to help. The gym is clean and machines are social distanced for safety. I LOVE IT!!!!

Was pretty nervous about going in due to covid but I must say they are doing a phenomenal job with cleaning regularly, everyone is wearing masks, social distancing is completely adhered to!! And the employees at the front desk are super helpful!! Live them💛

Had no problem working out here. First time back since the pandemic. Felt very safe with all the sanitizing measures they have in place. Went around 4:30. Hardly anyone there. Was skeptical about coming back. Not anymore! 😊

You know I look on here at the crowd meter and it says its busier than usual and then i look on the app and it says it not busy at all ! Lol.....Which one is accurate ? Does anyone know ? Anyway as far as the gym goes everything was ok and pretty much clean and the staff were friendly and nice.

Never packed but there app tells you if theres alot of people. It has a people counter meter n it lets u know before even going there. Quiet n I can always go in and do my thing.

Its a nice gym, clean, spacious, and lots of lockers. The locker room sinks are annoying, the spout is too close to the back of the bowl making it difficult to wash hands without hitting the bowl.Currently you need to wear a mask at all times though, except in the shower, which is not conducive to safety while working out. I canceled my membership.

Second time working out at this location and everything was fine until an employee came up to me and says that my gallon water bottle was in the way while i was on the treadmill, which i understood and put it on my machine. It was when i got off the treadmill and was headed to my next machine the same employee came up to me and said i cant have my water bottle on the gym floor at all because its in the way and its a safety hazard. That part I dont understand because were social distancing by 12 feet according to the signs posted in the gym. So how is my water bottle in the way if were supposed to be 12ft from each other in the gym? And the gym was basically empty! I went to the planet fitness in Taylor and the one on 8 Mile & Woodward and they didnt say anything to me about my bottle. I feel this company need to change its policy cause theyre the only gym i know that doesnt allow you to have a gallon of water when working out and thats not right. My workout took way longer cause i had to go back and forth to the locker room to drink my water & stay hydrated. I honestly felt singled out because i had to get rid of my water just because of the size of the bottle. For this company slogan to be a judgement free zone i surely felt judged. Im pretty sure I wont be coming back to this location.

I used to be an employee, but I resigned today because I got a better job offer. I gave this particular location one star only because of the poor communication between the management and employees which causes a lack of member experience. I have witnessed with my own eyes that the Black Card Spa is NOT sanitized after each use. People go tanning without clothes, then we allowed the next member go without cleaning that massage chair, bed and/or tanning bed. It IS cleaned, but not to where eventually someone will pick something up. I expressed my concerns to the Club manager several times and even attempted to help create a proper cleaning schedule, instead he became defensive and disregard my concerns. Two confirmed COVID-19 cases among members who use the facilities, the Club manager called for a deep clean which was highly appropriate, but only three people out of the entire team actually know how to clean properly amd efficiently. This location is owned by Impact Fitness which is a good franchise, but the communication in this region is greatly lacking. This causes lack of tools and cleaning supplies needed to clean properly to reach FDA/CDC guidelines. If you workout here, be sure to clean your own machine very well and pray that the solution is not watered down. Whats nuts is this is the cleanest club in the region despite I see nasty stuff constantly and point it out. Apparently the person doing the inspection doesnt have a sense of cleanliness.

I forgot my water and wallet today and thought I could put a water on my account but didnt have a card on file. Sean let me have a water and said I could pay for it later. Been going here for 4 years and by far the best experience today. Thanks Sean and I will make it right tomorrow morning.

Im a PF fan and go to multiple locations. My biggest issue is having to sign the paper when you scan my card. It should all be electronic in there. But with covid, why dont you push electronic. They had 6 people hanging around at the door talking while they wanted me to sign. I couldnt social distant. Plus, some areas have limited ppl allowed, but no one was enforcing. Just doesnt make sense to me. Staff is alway amazing though.

I went two times to close my account . Last I went on November first week to close my account physically and I also sent email to close the account. Even they cut my 40$ from my account for December month. They confirmed that no due for December and I am all set when they cancelled . I am just waiting to call me back, that when they will give my money back. At the same time, they cancelled my husband membership not mine how’s that possible . We visited together to cancel the membership.

I cancelled my membership. You have to wear a mask while on treadmill and spaced more than 6 feet apart. If we are socially distancing, why do I have to wear a mask while on a stationary bike, elliptical, treadmill, etc? I abide by the rules and have a 😷 on when I come through the doors. No way am I working out with a mask on.

They wouldnt cancel my membership over the phone after they started billing my account without communicating that they were reopening the club. When I went to cancel the membership in person I witnessed a person wearing their mask on their chin, leaving both their nose and their mouth uncovered. They do not enforce covid health and safety regulations. 0/10 I will never return.

This is a better planet fitness then most. It is good for $10 a month. If you are just starting to get into going to the gym it is a great place to start.

The staff are normally very polite and professional. This location is normally clean. I enjoy working out between the hours of 4:00 a.m to 7:00 a.m its always very peaceful. Love the 24 hour access and the massage chairs♥️.

To be clear this place is not a scam. Its an awesome place and you have choices to choose a contract or pay as you go. Dont cheat yourself out of something good because somebody doesnt know how to listen properly or read what they signed 1st

I normally don’t leave bad reviews because if I’m disappointed,I just don’t return but in this case, while I made certain that I did everything I was told to do, I STILL have to pay for an account that I asked to be canceled back in March of 2020.Its October ! The reason why I was canceling my account in the first place wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy the gym but it was because I was constantly being stalked by another member every time I was there and I became very uncomfortable to the point where I was far too afraid to even go back BUT, since you can’t cancel over the phone which I’ve tried, I had to cancel at this location.Long story short the worker never canceled my account which in turn I now have to pay for.Im very upset and this was something that could’ve easily been fixed by them waiving the amount due to their lack of responsibility but nope, still have to pay it.I will never go back to planet fitness nor recommend anyone else after this.I feel like I’ve been scammed.Good luck guys

I am very happy with the overall professionalism of this facility. However, the showers have excessive mold and the drains are slow from hair accumulation. Is it because there are a disportionate number of males working that cannot routinely check the bathrooms?. Planet fitness is still the best bet!!!!.

Since my husband and I have joined Planet Fitness we have thoroughly enjoyed the membership. The staff is very professional and polite. As a team they promote health, wellness and fitness in a non-judgment environment.

When I had a membership I did like coming here. I was always able to get a good workout in peace then showering after I was done. But the only problem I had with this location was the parking. The parking depending on when you go get your workout can be a nightmare. That aside this is a good gym. Just hate the parking.

Planet Fitness is open 24/7 & fully staffed.$20/month & a yearly fee of $40, I think.Got fitness groups, sunshine beds, massage beds - you name @ no extra cost. Got a cold drink machine $3. Of course its air conditioned. Got clean mens showers.Hey -$20/month ! Feel like youre having day.

This is a clean friendly environment for a workout. I have the black card membership for $22.99 a month. I can use any location, unlimited tanning, hydromassages and red light therapy.

Have been going here for years now. Always enjoy the staff. Always clean and kept up on. Never had an issue. Hate how busy it is sometimes, but thats not their fault. It would be cool if the building could be bigger to fit more stuff and people!

They keep the place nice and clean.All and all, if you want to test the waters with working out then go to PF. If you stick with it, you will find yourself not able to grow anymore after a few months.Thats why Im going to LA fitness.

It was wall to wall equipment. Tons of treadmills and elliptical machines and about 20 tvs on the wall. Several stations with paper towel and spray to clean after using equipment. Favorite part is the tootsie rolls available to anyone at the front door. Ive only seen one machine out of order but they have at least two of almost all machines. Staff is friendly, locker room is decent and parking lot not too small. $10 month no contract is perfect. $21 a month if you want to use tanning rooms or massage chairs and beds. Feels pretty nice

I like this gym I never had problem with the staffs. Its clean every time I b at the gym. No gym intimidation and membership is very reasonable. My favorite time to go is either early in the morning or after 10 pm because its quite and i like to work outwhen ther are less people not during busy hours.

I cant say enough good things about this place. The location is perfect. They are open 24 hours a day. The place is kept extremely clean. they also have extra options for people that wish to spend 10 more dollars a month that includes water therapy, tanning beds, Etc. There are more than enough pieces of workout equipment to accommodate however many people show up. They also offer exercise classes if you care to look at the schedule. This is definitely worth coming to.

Going to be changing my main gym soon to the Dearborn one closer to my house. But I just wanted to write a good review because the workers here were always nice to me and, for the most part, the machines were fully functional and only had minimal downtime.

Started working out here 2 weeks ago it is clean friendly and the machines are almost always available to use even at 6 or 7.

I was a Planet Fitness member for years and spoke very highly of them previously. Once they closed their doors due to Covid, I eventually found a gym that was open. When they finally reopened, I found out that Im being charged $4 for the few days they apparently were open in September, and the annual fee of $39 once I noticed it on my bank statement. I went in to cancel and asked to receive the annual fee back since there was no way to cancel while they were closed. Person at the desk told me they were not giving any refunds. Sent an email to the manager, which I am waiting to hear back. I wish I could charge people for a service that I dont provide. Very unhappy.

Dez, Brad, Courtney, Brandon, and a few of the other crew that I don’t know by name do a great job at keeping the wheels rolling on this place. They stay on top of it and are always welcoming and available. I appreciate them!

I wish there were more ab machines. The only good one is in the 30 minute circuit training area and people are always using it whether they are doing the circuit training or not. It’s frustrating to go through the entire circuit training course only to get to the last step (abs) and someone else who just walked up is on it.

Good place to work out.

They have a stretching area that only lets 3 people stretch at a time because theres no space from people moving stuff around. Which I dont think should be allowed considering stretching is most important before and after a workout. For the most part its clean although there was a water bottle that stayed on a machine for 2 days. But overall its a good place to workout.

Customer service is blah!!!As for the front desk staff...Very few of the staff members are friendly & have a genuine greeting when you walk in & a genuine farewell when you walk out.And most sound somewhat stank, off putting & condescending.Trust me, I don’t like being bothered anyways...But if you’re going to speak...don’t sound rude.I always have/had excellent customer service, even on my worse day when interacting with customers at jobs.It would be nice if the customer interaction was consistent throughout all of the employees & not just some of the employees on some of their days.Poor attitude can trickle down to the staff members & create a poor & unenthusiastic work culture. And that lack of professionalism can turn off gym goers & make them want to go elsewhere.Perhaps, Motivation & Morale training or Work Culture & Climate training.Positivity & excellent customer service is a win win for everyone. It sets the standard & may prevent Planet Fitness goers from crossing over to another gym brand.This place needs to revamp their staff ASAP!!!The staff either look bored at the front, don’t speak with energy & positivity, sound condescending...I don’t get it.Maybe like 2 workers there do a good job at this particular location.And clearly, an employee just resigned from this location & left an informative review. ⬇️⬇️⬇️Owners...wya? 👀👀👀

Not helpful with military transitions nor is the staff friendly or the equipment worth it. I would not chose this gym. It is also in an inconvinet and questionable location. There are better gyms in the area that are worth the drive and your money. I enjoyed planet fitness and would recommend them before I joined this gym. Now just hearing about them makes me cringe. Just a headache in general. Not worth it.

Decently maintained and staffed. The only issue is that the place gets busy and there are far too few of certain machines. All-in-all though a decent place to work out.

Bargain for the money. I got the black membership ($22.99 a month) it gives me access to free tanning, massage chairs, and hydro massage beds. The 30 minute workout is a great idea. Its in one area and you move from machine to machine. Friendly staff and open 24 hours
