I was in town for 2 days and decided to check out the gym. I was a little worried because of some of the reviews but this is a nice gym. I cant speak on the customer service, I just paid them and walked in. idk what else you need to talk about its a gym theres alot of equipment some is tight together the place was clean, but over all ill come back

I started at this gym a few months ago & I love it! They have literally anything you could possibly need! The only thing that bothers me is that there is no way to fill up your water bottle aside from the bathroom sink.....(gross!) There’s tons of water fountains but they’re all broken or turned off, I don’t know. It’s very inconvenient for someone like me who is often coming straight from work to the gym. A few very nice employees have filled my water bottle for me behind the counter but some employees refuse. Other than that I love this place!

Loved the equipment and most of the staff. Great gym. However, I moved across the country and called to cancel and was told I had to write a letter and send it in. I know people that have just sent an email to cancel. I have been trying to cancel for months and thought it had gotten through but I realized its just because the pandemic. I have sent another email. PLEASE REMOVE MY MEMBERSHIP AND STOP CHARGING ME!!

Claimed to be month to month. I cancelled. Now I got a mark on my credit report for close to $100. So in other words, they never cancelled it and sent it to collections. Dont fall for this!Edit: So Im supposed to have a copy of my cancellation, from about 2 years ago? I literally live in a different state! Im gonna pay the collection service, but this review stays! READ THE FINE PRINT everyone. Or else youll join the other reviewers like myself. They obviously do this to a lot of people and then claim its okay because its all legal. Theres a difference between legal and good business, IDIOTS!

Great staff and equipment!

I was initially highly impressed with the gym and its employees. I was forced to cancel membership because I got a new job 2 hours away. Made a call to ABC Financial to cancel my account, I was told I had to cancel in person. Went to cancel my account in person and young gentlemen assured that my account was canceled properly and no other fees were owed. A couple weeks later I started receiving call from ABC Financial saying I still owed money. I called the gym and they explained that because I canceled within 10 days of my payment cycle I still owed for that month. I have no issues with policy, however, I have an issue with the mistake that was made and managements resolution. I thought that since I made I in person trip to the gym and my account was not canceled properly that the $29.99 should have been waived. I made 3 trips to the gym and eventually still had to pay the $29.99. The lost my business and my network of friends business.

So original I was very happy with the gym the child care was good and the amount of equipment is good. However, I recently had an issue with another member using multiple pieces of equipment and instead of the manager taking care of the gym hog issue he somehow managed to accuse me of conducting a training business in the gym when in fact we are just a group of girls who workout together 🤦

Pro: The regular gym goers are nice and good people. A lot are competitors in various categories. Most of the gym staff are really nice and I enjoy interacting with them.Cons: The gym lacks in size, dirty and their equipment is routinely broke due.Size: the weight area is crammed together leaving barely any space to walk between the benches and their miscellaneous machines. Over a year ago when I signed up, I was told the weight area is going to expand which ultimately led me to signing up. To this day, the expansion has not happened and appears no progress is being made.Cleanliness: They had a gentleman that cleaned for a while but he was fired and now the regular gym staff is relied on to clean, which since the firing has gone downhill. I can’t speak for the women’s restroom but the men’s bathroom is disgusting. The toilets are dirty on the regular and pretty disgusting. A lot of the equipment appears to hardly be wiped down and maintained and you can spot dust/dirt easily.

For starters - I have NEVER wasted my time writing a negative review until now. This all pertains to their cancellation process. The gym itself is very nice.I provided proper documentation in September to cancel my membership. I was preparing to PCS at the end of October. Unfortunately, the cancellation sheet must have vanished because I am still getting calls from ABC financial asking for payment. When I contacted the manager (this part is amazing) he told me that it was my responsibility to keep the cancellation form until I received a confirmation e-mail. Well, my apologies for not keeping track of a form three months after a cross country move. Even after listening to the BS about the cancellation policy, I offered to send a copy of my orders proving that I moved from the area. NOPE. He wasnt hearing it. I was instructed to fill out a new cancellation form, which I will be dropping off personally next week when I visit MD.

Me and my husband just singed back up today. We were members a year prior, but some family issues came about. We love love love this gym, our favorite place is the sauna tho. We both use it after working out for about an hour. Im writing this mostly for my husband, because hes not much on computers. He told me that the sauna in the mens room is so much worse than it was last year. That is really really dirty, and looks like someone might have had an accident on the floor. The women sauna seems to be the same as last year, wonderful in my opinion. But maybe the guys are a little grosser than us? Either way, we still absolutely love the place, the staff and the other gym members. We wont go anywhere else, but maybe the mens sauna could get a deep scrubbing?

Been a member here for years. The staff is very friendly and the place is always clean. I really enjoy that this gym really takes effort to fix there equipment as quick as they can. I been to multiple gyms were machines would be put of order for weeks. I also like the variety classes offered. Best gym in the area!

Absolutely love this gym. Especially love the classes in the early morning. They are great and the instructors motivate you and help you push harder when you think you cant. It clean and huge. The classes never disappoints even if only 2 people show up. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone living in the Waldorf area.

I have been satisfied with the gym and the staff. Mr. Lou has been a constant in the mornings for three years and have always been friendly and helpful. The 5am boot camp class with CJ has truly kept me in shape. I had shoulder and bicep surgery almost a year ago (Previous injury) and when I was ready to return to class, he altered my routine so that I can ease back into the class. Taking classes with Sheila have been great too. Overall, it is a great family atmosphere.

I have been going to gold gym for a long time then Waldorf fitness took over the gym Im still there good stuff and clean place have all equipment. definitely recommend for everyone

Awesome gym! Been here over 4 years and would recommend it to everyone. Staff is always friendly and facility is clean. Lots of great classes for all different skill levels and interest. Lots of cardio equipment and about every weight machine possible. Kids club staff is always friendly and my kids love going there. Over all great experience at a great price.

This is the best gym to get you motivated. My 5 year old son only loves this gym due to the friendly staff that interact with him. If you looking to get motivated THIS is the place to go, it gives you that gym feel. People are everywhere doing all types of different things and the members are so nice and helpful also.!

This is the best gym I ever joined. The staff is exceptional and the equipment is in good condition. Its difficult to find a gym that provides child care and affordable membership prices to suit the working single mother or budget restrictions. This fitness center is able to meet all my needs without putting a dent in my pocket. I am really expressed with the assortment of classes offerred. I would definitely recommend this fitness center.

Cancellation process is bulls**t. I paid for a 30 day membership not a life sentence. If you do not cancel or renew 10 days before your membership ends they charge you an extra months membership.There are often machines broken that take way to long to fix. The mens bathroom can get pretty nasty, often only having 1 stall that is somewhat usable.Switched from world gym cause this was on my way home, and that was a mistake. Have never had a bad experience at a world gym or other gym in general until here.When my 30 days that I paid for is up just dont let me back in the gym. Charging $25 for not renewing my $30 membership is absolute bulls**t.Will say their front staff is friendly, but their manager relies to heavily on their contract to enforce ridiculous fees even though his staff went against the contract for me to cancel (by allowing me to do so over the phone, which was nice) but he still threatens to send their bulls**t late fee to third party collectors to hurt my credit.Stopped going to the gym because of injury, and once I am healthy will definitely be looking for a new gym.

Best gym facility in southern Maryland!! I love CJs Saturday morning boot camp class and Sheilas 30 30 on Sunday. Always enjoy making use of the sauna before and after my workouts also!

0 stars, not for the building itself, but management. Falsely accused a member of my household of stealing while that persons identity was stolen. Openly lied about not being the manager on duty to customers. Threatened to dock pay after time worked, admitted it was illegal and expressed his employees could sue him personally. A member had an issue with their child and when it was told that the parent was on the way to speak with him, he packed up his belongings to leave. The manager is extremely passive aggressive. Also from other reviews, he shows an open lack of respect and privacy by informing everyone that the reviewer is still a member (as if that changes their opinion). Honestly, none of the Waldorf gyms are out of this world, but if this gym was under new management and was completely renovated, with equipment that doesn’t need repair often or equipment that isn’t old and rusted, I could see it excelling. Unless you’re dealing EXCLUSIVELY with the amazing trainers, I would not recommend spending your money here and definitely not working here, unless it is VERY temporary.Edit: A person with basic reading comprehension skills will be able to determine I was a former employee. If there was another medium to express concern, like Glassdoor or LinkedIn for this business, then I would have posted this review there. Nonetheless, I am still a consumer in the public and the customer service beyond those at the front desk are only as strong as management.

Closed at 3PM on labor day where the holiday hours listed on the site stated closing at 6PM. Wasted almost an hour round trip to not be able to work out. Customer service here is lazy or lethargic A lot of broken machines, specifically the treadmills. Almost half are unusable due to slippage in the belt, the best part is they are left on the floor risking injury to their own customers. Reviews here citing how crowded the lifting area is are accurate. Very frequently having people slide by in very close proximity to you while you are in the middle of your set. A lot of the gyms own rules arent enforced. People dont clean up after themselves much. Weight dropping/slamming is pretty common. All in all I still go every other day but conditions at the gym are not getting better they are just stagnating.

CJs 5am boot camp is THE BEST. Its been a great way to learn how to use all the equipment, meet great people and get in shape. Everyone is very welcoming to new members and all take sincere interest in helping those new to fitness Waldorf Fitness is THE BEST place to work out in Charles County.

Ive never wrote a review on any company until now that Ive been met with such poor customer service.So I lost my beats wireless headphones at the gym a couple days ago. Nicely enough someone found them and turned them in. Apparently they were held in lost and found for a full two days until I showed up a day too late. It was verified by two of the staff members that they themselves saw them and was surprised that they were no longer there.I asked to speak with the manager to see if anything could be done and was told he was busy but would come down to speak with me. Long story short he never made an effort to show concerned over the matter but instead told the front desk that there was nothing he could do anyway and left the gym. ***Warning if you lose anything and it gets turned in, it doesnt mean it will be returned to you. The gym allows staff to steal from the members and could care less. All I was expecting was a simple email to the staff asking if anyone saw or knew where they might be. I will be canceling my membership asap because it is apparent that it is not a place of integrity or good customer service.On top of matters the monthly fees are quite expensive for the old machines that are constantly breaking and unavailable. Theres not one piece of new equipment so I dont understand where the members fees are going. Im a member of Golds Gym and La Fitness which have nicer and newer equipment and both are less monthly. Oh and Ive also been returned my lost items at those gyms every time. Also, the childcare is quite unsanitary. I was never impressed by the condition of the gym from jump but the situation today really left a sour taste in mouth. The least they could do is act like the care about the members concerns.

Have been going to WFC for about 2 years!! Awesome staff that welcome everyone!! They also offer great classes! I usually go in the morning and I love the child care, attendants are so nice to all children.

WFC I have been a member for two plus years! This is one of the best gyms in the area! From the time you walk in the door you feel like family! Great front desk service! Great instructors for all the group fitness classes!They have all the equipment you will ever need open and available for all members to use! Stuff is always cleaning equipment. Bathroom/showers are always clean and ready to use!Thanks for making me fill like family WFC!

The gym is a great big CLEAN facility (with an tasty smoothie bar great for after my work out). Management and staff are very proactive and very motivating kind people. The gym has lots of classes plenty of times during the day. the gym also offers a rejuvenation which is great after a good work out LOVE the gym LOVE the staff LOVE the location would definitely recommend this gym to YOU reading this who isnt a member you wont regret signing up!

3/11/2018 first I called this morning on a day they’re scheduled to open at 7:30 and phone just rang, I gave up after about 30 minutes of calling. Decided to call this afternoon at 3:50pm and every time I called someone would answer and just hang up. This was done over 4 times within 5 minutes. Not sure if they’re not qualified to take calls and answer a couple of questions or just not in the mood to answer a couple of questions. Either way I find it to be very unprofessional and down right rude. Doesn’t look like I’ll be recommending this gym to my partners and I myself won’t be renewing my membership.

Waldorf Fitness Center is a great place to work out. I have been through a death in the family, loss my job and broke a bone in my foot and the management staff still worked with me during these difficult times in my life. The staff is wonderful and I would recommend this gym to everyone. I had to cancel my membership because of all of these issues I am having, but as soon as things get better I am going to come back to the gym. I appreciate the staff being there for me. I want to give a special thank you to the Manager to Winston, the manager of the Waldorf location, for all the compassion he showed me while going through this. Thank you to all the staff for everything they have done for me.

Best Gym in Waldorf. Im trying to find a time when its not so crowded.Complaints:1. Spaces between equipment is pretty cramped in some areas. Mixed with a packed gym can be frustrating. But at least they have a lot of equipment. 2. I havnt noticed the staff walk the floor. Theres a sign that says notify staff if spray bottle is empty. I think that should be their job. Walk the spaces. Check for empty sanitation stations and misplaced weights.What I like:Members are polite (important in a packed gym). Staff is polite. And has just about all the equipment you need.Its a large facility. But theyve seemed to outgrow it.Overall I like the gym.

WFC is an amazing gym! Everyone is friendly and helpful! The equipment is everything youll ever need to have an awesome workout! There are so many different classes to take and the ones ive taken Ive been amazing! Highly recommend!

So Ive been going to this gym since 1999 so for over a decade as Golds Gym and several more years as Waldorf Fitness Center. I saw the gym when the changeover occurred and they basically got a broken down gym with failing equipment, so where things are now compared to where they started are worlds apart. While I have definitely been to better gyms in other areas, as far as Waldorf is concerned, there is no other option. I was finally able to make it over to the LA Fitness to make an honest comparison and I feel like they Waldorfized that LA Fitness with one floor and their baby pool. The gym is nice and sleek but then again, so is Planet Fitness. I work out at other gyms in the area frequently but Waldorf Fitness is my go to. I have big hopes for this renovation that is under way. Dont let us down Winston!

My not a huge fan of gym or big gym goer. I really like the classes they offer esp. Zumba and spin classes. Nice setting, huge variety of equipment and activities/classes to participate in. They smoothie bar inside and offer other snacks as well. I really like the sauna, that was like my favorite workout LOL. I can sit, relax, and sweat out 1/2 lb in 20 mins[seriously]!

Have spoken to management about cleanliness, safety, lack of training, and way too much equipment in tight spaces making it hard to move around. Lack of staff. Have not seen any improvement in 2 years. All I have seen is it downgrade and management and owners dont seem to care.

Beware. This club says they offer a month to month membership but they do not. I cancelled my membership on November 2nd. I was charged for two additional months after I cancelled my membership. I am contacting my credit card company to dispute these fraudulent charges. Poor place for yoga too because its so loud and they dont have a private room. Also not very clean. I recommend you do business with any other fitness club but this one.

I really want to love LA across the street. But this place is daaaaa bomb 💣💣💣 its like crack for gym rats. I keep coming back to it. 😁😁😁 equipment is better for lifters and cardio bunnies. I dont take classes but they have a ton to choose from. Just wish that there are more stairs so I dont have to fight for one during Gym rush hours and a pool. A jacuzzi would be nice too. Do u hear me, WINSTON!! 😜 Oh. Free childcare (although my child is too old for it now). At LA, u have to pay for it. ❤️ WFC!

I realized that I just had to write this review after finishing my workout from what I though was another top notch gym. As a traveling cocktail waitress and model Ive worked out at many gyms (including Dave Barton, Equinox, Vida Fitness and Life Time Fitness that are all over $100 a month), but I always miss Waldorf Fitness Center when Im away. Yes, of course get more amenities than any gym in the area for just $24.99 a month, but its more than that. The members and staff makes this gym feel like a home away from home. Ive even had the opportunity to do a few photo shoots at W.F.C. which I posted on my Instagram: svetaboyarskaya I would recommend anyone to take advantage of their free enrollment, give it a month and get hooked like I did.

I have been a member of the WFC for about 3 yrs now and will say that the facility is nice, staff seems always friendly. I got a pretty good Personal Training Seesions with Ryan and he seemed very motivated and dedicated. Due to my job, my visits there are sporadic at times, but came back again used another trainer and lets just say instead of him trying to accomodate me, it was everything based off his schedule and he was somewhat difficult to train with. Overall i think the gym is excellent, but a suggestion i would make would be have more group classes during hours where those of us they cannot make the early morning schedules can particiapate and incorporate something similar like planet fitness has in place like a workout circuit as a point of focus . Nice environment/staff just hoping for a tweeking of times of various group activities.

Great place to work out, members are friendly and polite.

Shockingly unprofessional. The staff shares confidential information with the guests about other guests. Everyone is rude and unhelpful. Staff members of the opposite sex will just come into the locker room while everyone is still changing without warning. Sketchy.

Terrible customer service. The manager Winston doesnt return phone calls. Consitently being overcharged after cancellation. They should be reported and legal action should be taken.
