I had an appointment for today between 1:00 and 5:00. No one showed up. I called at 5:57 and was told that I was number 8 and the technician was number 7 and that he would be finishing up soon, was behind, and that they would put me in as willing to wait, so I will still be seen. Still, no one showed. I called back at 8:10 after no one showed up and was told that the technician put me in as not being at home at 6:15. No one ever came to my house, no one called, and when I checked my status at 8:03 via the text app, it still said someone was on the way. The customer service agent stated that she would put me in to dispatch so that I can make an appointment, but then changed her mind and said she would do it, so I never got a new appointment either. Since it is after 7:00 no one will come today.

Compressor died on Kenmore Elite fridge after only 4-1/2 years. Part was under warranty, but fridge repair cost close to $900 (still cheaper than a new fridge). However, service was available the next day (amazing!) and the repairman was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and conscientious. Hopefully the new compressor will last longer, since the fridge overall is excellent.

I contracted for At residence repair. When the repair person appeared, the riding mower was removed from my residence and taken back to the service location. It was difficult to contact the Sears contract service company, and I did not receive my mower back for over 2 1/2 to three weeks. The service personnel were courteous, but not very responsive. I have used the mower once since its return with no problem.

While the repairman arrived as scheduled over a week ago, the washer has yet to be repaired. There was no actual repair done. A part was ordered which we are to install. We were told it would take about 2 days for the part to arrive, no sign of it yet. For what was paid we expected a bit more.

“Repairman” repaired the original problem but created another problem that was worse than the original. At the end of the day my warranty company had to pay for a new dryer. SEARS was horrible when it came to communication! I was without a dryer for over a month!!

The technician arrived on time, was very pleasant, but then left after checking the start of each cycle. He said it was fine - nothing wrong and nothing he could do. However, he did not run the machine through its entire cycle, so when I tried to do a load of laundry after he left of course it stopped where it had always stopped, leaving me with a load of soapy, wet sheets. We tried to get him back that day without success, and were told by Sears that the soonest they could get a technician here was eight days later - not a satisfactory outcome, to say the least.

Overall, the work was done well. The technician was knowledgeable, and perform the repair properly and quickly. A few downsides... the price of service (for replacing a solenoid, and the filter assembly) was very high; more than $400. Also, Sears had to schedule two trips - even though I told them exactly what the problem was. And finally, it took more than two weeks to schedule an appointment - both times!

I have used this service in the past without issue. However this year I set up an appointment for my mower which is a husquarna that they serviced last year. This year I set up the appointment they were supposed to arrive between 1 and 4 pm at 5 I called and was told they were running behind. Finally at 6:30 they arrived looked at the mower and said they couldn’t service it and left. So we waited all day and they said they don’t service that but they serviced it last and I told them the brand when I called.

He cleaned up his work space and explained the repairs completed. So courteous and pleasant! My only disappointment was how long it took to actually get an appointment - 2 to 3 weeks is not timely service.

On April 21st we had our dryer “serviced” by Sears Home Services. Our window for the appointment was 10am to 2pm. My family waited all morning for the repair guy to show up, finally around 1:30 we called Sears to check on the status. All the customer support could tell us was “he is on his way” a few minutes later we received a call from the technician saying he was 35 minutes out. When he finally showed up it was a total nightmare. He walked into my house with a small bag that had some lubricants and a few screw drivers. He stands in front of the dryer and I began to explain to him that the Kenmore dryer wasn’t drying and that it takes hours to dry one load. He quickly got defensive and began to blame me saying that the vent was dirty. He not once did a diagnostic of the machine or even check the vents to confirm his opinion. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt by explaining that the dryer never really dried that well since day one and that we had all the vents cleaned at the house, but he persisted that it was the vents. He then goes on to tell me that he could clean it for us for $80 or do it under Sears and charge us $100. I couldn’t believe what I was dealing with, not only was this guy super rude but he was trying to do business under the table. At that point, I wanted the man out of my house, but he won’t let up on his opinions. He proceeds to tell us that it is the vents and that he spoke with someone, over the phone, that has 15 years’ experience and that the problem is the vent. He never looked at the vent. He never opened the dryer to check the mechanics…He did nothing except insult us and blame us for the machine not working. We walked him to the door since it was obvious that he was going to do absolutely zero work. Then to top off the visit, he had the gull to demand that we pay him $99.00 for the visit! We ask him if we can pay on line and he goes off saying “NO you have to pay me with a check now”….we gave him a check and then his computer wasn’t working to process the check. At that point, I am beyond upset and just want this man gone! I gave him a credit card and he processed the payment.I called the Sears Home Service Customer Service Center to report what happened. I spoke with a supervisor and explained in detail everything that happened and to my shock and horror the supervisor took his side. For every compliant I had he had an excuse. It was disheartening to know that if you spend thousands of dollars on Sears products (frig, stove, microwave, dishwasher, dryer and washer) you get screwed it something goes wrong. Sears needs to respect its paying customers and if their products are faulty they need to step up and fix them! I will never buy anything from them again! It’s not worth the hassle or aggravation for them to treat you so poorly.

Repairman was nice on the first 2 visits, but when he had to come out for the 3rd time he argued with me that the problem I was having was my fault and that his repair was fine. Until he found the leak and realized that I was right. He also told me that I shouldnt have turned the ice maker off, that I should have let it leak onto my floor for the 5 days it took for him get there so it would be easier for him to find the problem. Not even close to happy with this service.

The Sears Repairman was very nice, on time and took care of our problem with the seal that cracked on our refrigerator. He was telling my husband how to care for the seal better which helps us a lot. The Sears repairman provided excellent customer service and was thoroughly knowledgeable about what was required to fix the blade shaft on the deck of the riding lawn mower. He knew exactly what was wrong and proceeded to do what was required to fix it quickly. He also checked the riding lawn mower to see if a tune-up was needed. The Sears repairman if definitely an asset to Sears and I would recommend his to others that need service with their riding lawn mowers. Many thanks to him for his prompt and courteous service. AJ

Service technician (Abdul) was prompt in arriving to our home for a heating consult. He determined that a zone damper motor was required to repair our system. He explained what he found in terms that both my husband and I could understand. He outlined a solution to the problem very efficiently. He explained in detail how to order the required part via the Sears website and to arrange for an appointment for repair. He kept us abreast of our appointment and repairs. He did an excellent job repairing our system and was very courteous, knowledgeable and very respectful to both of us. But you all have to do better with the appointments​ because i made appointment prior to this appointment, I had to get off early so I can be at home when he got there, no show, comes to find out the information was incorrect, I notice that the phone number and address was incorrect.When I called and made the first appointmentI was told that I was in the system and everything was good. The service was good, but I guess the age of all around great service is gone. My technician was good arrived in a timely manner and fixed my washer with no issues. The problem that I had was sears now has the parts sent directly to your home, in my case it was the whole washer drum. So this large part has to sit in my home until they came back to fix the washer and after the repair they do not remove the old part, so I am hoping that my garbage man will take this huge part, otherwise I will have to pay a fee to take it to the dump. AlsoI had oil that leaked out from my bad bearings on to the floor underneath the washer and the tech does not clean that either. As long as you understand Sears is there just to fix the problem and the days of complete customer service is gone, they did a good job.

I was scheduled for an appointment between the hours of 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Of course most people work during these hours. I took off work to get honor the appointment, and the technician arrived at 7:00pm. No one called, no one texted, no one emailed me.When the technician arrived he informed me that the scheduling department of course handles all scheduling. The scheduling department knows where each technician is, at every time of the day. They could of easily dispatched another technician out and/or gave me a courtesy call to inform me of the new time.The technician was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure he found out what was wrong with my machine. Thats the only reason why I gave the 2 stars.I eventually called the scheduling department and the supervisor informed me that he would file a formal complaint. Doesnt even sound right. Informed me I couldnt file the complaint myself but he has to do it. Anyway.... I will never call Sears again to fix my machine.

Awful experience, will never buy another appliance from Sears and I have been a faithful Sears customer for over 40 years. It took over a month for my washing machine to be repaired. This rating is no reflection on the technician, it is solely on the system Sear has to order parts and schedule repairs. Two phone calls to try and schedule an appointment, I was on hold 20 minutes each time and NEVER spoke to a person. I ended up scheduling online through a chat.

Technician came within the quoted timeframe and called approximately 20-30 minutes before he arrived to tell me his expected arrival time. He diagnosed the problem, told me the cost and secured permission before he made the fix that day. He showed me the replaced part and told me what it should have looked like if it was in working order. He also offered a maintenance plan and told me purchase of the plan would reduce by half the amount of the fix. While I didnt opt for the plan, he gave me information about it in case I wanted to give it consideration at a later time.He was professional and efficient.

Riding tractor was not fixed -I thought maintenance man could also fix any problems but he changed all filters, blade, etc. and left us with a mower that wont start and a broken rod on the front bracket. Called Sears and was told the maintenance person does not repair he just does the Spring tune up, which cost us $237.00 dollars and I had to make another appointment for a repair man to come and fix the riding tractor so we can use it! I have dealt with Sears for 20 years with my riding lawn mover tractors and have never had a situation like this. So I had to pay for a service call on April 6 and Ill have to pay for a repair call on April 27.

Checked out the problem, GE Fridge not making ice very noligiable on the problem, had a replacement part with him. Working perfect now, Great job.Had repairman come back, ice maker making too much ice, (go figure), Pulling ice draw out more ice falls to the back of the freezer and lays on the bottom. Now getting into the bottom freezer, ice goes on the floor. The repair man did check it out and said its a flaw in the making of the ice maker and ice drawer, others have complained about it. He made a call to see if GE has a remedy. No its just a flaw in construction. He did suggest that others have found to remove the protection piece on top and just reach in without pulling ice drawer out.. Yes this works. Thank you Repairman

Sears was very inconsiderate of their arrival within my pre-scheduled window appointment time slot.....and then changed the appointment window without my knowledge TO FIT THEIR SCHEDULING NEEDS. My time is just as important. In the end, I had to wait an entire day for them to arrive....for a preventive maintenance checkup. I have a maintenance plan for all my Sears purchases which allows 1 free maintenance check a year & any repairs needed are at no cost to me to include any labor costs. The technician that did my maintenance check for furnace, air & water heater 19Dec2017 was great. He found an issue with my water heater & fixed it on the spot.The pros to having subcontractors with Sears now: 1 technician can service several items instead of different techs for all 7 of my items & showing up at 7 different times. I only had 2 techs & my maintenance was finished.The cons to having subcontractors: Sears doesnt have them perform in front of an expert to make sure its Sears quality service being provided at all times or shadow them for a couple jobs to make sure their performance & professionalism are beyond reproach. I had a horrible experience with installing my kitchen - 1 star for this nightmare

I have a psycho washer. I have had to make so many calls for help (some of the most ridiculous answers to test that I have ever heard). Then tech after tech all say something different and I still end up with a broken washing machine. My electric bill has gone up because I try every temperature and cycle to get it to just finish a load. This takes HOURS for one load. Techs are nice but I had to call warranty to stop this nonsense. We are up to three of the four reasons necessary to replace this thing. So, yes, I have yet another tech coming out in TWO WEEKS to find the fourth reason. Very frustrating and costly.

Ultimately the dishwasher was repaired appropriately, but the process of getting a technician to the machine was more painful than necessary. Not only did I wait over 2 weeks for the appointment, the technician made several phone calls in an attempt to avoid the need to come to my home, reset this, try this... After which the technician arrived with the parts to fix the machine. Regardless, if there were any way to fix the problem over the phone, why did I have to wait two weeks for that type of call??? I am very dissatisfied with the way Sears is now handling repairs in our area. They used to be good and reliable, but now they arent worth the consideration of purchasing a repair agreement.And I am in fact reconsidering purchasing from them at all.

Called to tell Sears it still isnt fixed and now the repair person cant come out for another 2 weeks, And we are going to settlement on the house at the end of the month.This why I called them in the first place. Really and you couldnt get out to fix the problem you were suppose to come to fix n the first place and now you going to make me wait again, because you couldnt do it right the first time
