Great staff everything is clean everyone is cool and leaves you alone yet extremely helpful if u need it. Never too busy always get the machines I want in a reasonable time if not right away

I tan at the Wadsworth location after work in the mornings. The girls that work the desk are always so friendly and accommodating to me. They try to get me in as quickly as possible, and if I do have to wait, they offer me the massage chair or bed, which is wonderful after a long night of working in health care. The beds are amazing and so clean, always. Im so happy to be a member here!

Phenomenal work out location! It has plenty of machines, and A TON of treadmills. You will be able to find something to use during even the busiest of hours.

You can always find what you want. An the stuff people wear in there is worth the trip. You see it all in Walmart.

I tried canceling my planet fitness membership over the phone and was told that it had to be done in person. Since I had the Black card membership, I went to a location near my house and they told me it had to be done at my home gym. When I first signed up for the membership, I choose the location in Wadsworth as my home gym. You should be able to cancel your membership at any planet fitness location. Not only did I have to go to two different locations just to cancel my membership, but I also was treated disrespectfully at the Planet Fitness in Wadsworth. I experienced poor customer service by both the front desk person and the manager.The manager at this location was very rude to me when I attempted to discuss my poor experience with canceling my membership. She said Well nobody else has ever complained before and Ive worked here for 5 years. Which made me feel like my experience doesnt matter and that she doesnt care. I asked if there was an email address or someone else I could reach out to and she said No, its just our policy and theres nothing you can do to change it.I feel that Planet Fitness was purposely making the cancelation process difficult in order to receive more payments from me. I would think more efforts would be made to make this process easier and with less in person contact as possible, especially during a pandemic.

It’s a good fitness place for me to workout

I usually go to the planet fitness in wooster and have never had a problem there before.Recently changed location due to the fact it was closer to work. We worked out once and the next day when coming back we were told we could not work out unless we changed close because apparently freshly washed clean high viz clothing is not aloud. I work in the tree industry as a climber and it is vital my guys and I stay fit. Ive never had a problem before, and explained to the front desk how we can where gym shoes but our clothes are no different then anyone elses. She preceded to tell us we must where work out clothing Wich is again no different than what we were where in. We clean our work out area just like everybody else. We wear our masks up whenever possible.and we literally just go there to work out half an hour a day and thats it.

Very unprofessional staff. I used to be a regular at Wadsworth but had tried Brunswick and liked the staff and the facility a lot more. Today I walked in with my mask on, then walked to a treadmill to warm up. As I am on the balcony the staff is on their phones and sitting on the counters with their masks down. I walked by to use the men’s restroom.. walked out. I was approached to “wear my mask when walking around.” Not only was I was singled out as MULTIPLE gym members were not doing the same, but as she is talking to me, her coworker was not wearing one. For the whole hour I was there, this worker was not wearing her mask. I was very upset. Not to mention half of the paper towels dispensers were empty the employees were too busy on “Mask patrol and texting” I was the only one they had tried to talk to.. I will no longer be using the wadsworth facility.

I remember when this pandemic started I didnt read the sign and didnt bring a mask to the Wadsworth Planet Fitness and an employee got in my face about the mask which is fine Im not opposed to the rules. However Ive seen the same employee hanging on cardio equipment talking to women not 6 feet away without a mask on. Not professional.

Its a clean place, pretty big, busy during the day but overall a nice gym to go to for what youre paying per month.

Good assortment of machines in a smaller area. Staff are experienced and well mannered. Multiple situations arose while onsite and they were very professional and knowledgeable about it. CUDOS!

I had been a Planet Fitness member since the business first opened in Wadsworth. I started with a White card then upgraded to the black card. I was never particularly keen on the staff. Any quality staff they did have moved on quickly. But to be honest I didnt join this gym for their warm and fuzzies. I joined given the close proximity to my home. Since the inception of the COVID-19 crisis members and staff were asked to wear masks according to state guidelines. Guidelines which stipulate exceptions to the mask guidelines for those whom suffer medical conditions which wearing a mask could cause a potential medical problem. I had been in the gym multiple times since March without incident and had removed my mask from time to time. On October 6th 2020 I was approached by Ms. Crossty the manager of the Wadsworth facility. I was using an elliptical and while working out I was told to put my mask on while actively engaged in my workout. I am an armed forces veteran who suffers from many ailments as a result of my 12+ years of service. I explained to Ms. Crossty I have asthma which I contracted from overseas combat service and I was short of breath and didnt feel comfortable wearing my mask. Which, by the way, my mask was hanging on the equipment I was using. She proceeded to inform me that unless I wore my mask immediately I would have my membership revoked. Again I explained my situation and she stormed off agitated and returned with my letter of membership cancellation. I was obviously taken back and asked if the other patrons walking around without their makes would be held to the same standards. To my knowledge I was the only one who lost their membership. I have since not yet found another gym but I can assure you it will not be a Planet Fitness here or anywhere else for that matter. My advice to you if you live in the vicinity of Wadsworth steer clear of Planet Fitness not only is their judgment by the staff but according to the owner it is final.

Not open when they say they will be in the mornings. Have shown up twice in the last week, when they were supposed to be open, only to find them closed with no explanation.

The employees are great! They have a remote control ready for me when they see me coming! They are always so nice!

I have to update this to reflect that they did refund the membership fee, no correspondence, it just showed up in my account. Thank you for doing the right thing, I plan to return when I am able.I called to cancel my membership, I honestly forgot completely about it and they refuse to refund my annual fees. I asked for some grace due to the situation with the pandemic and called as soon as the fee hit my bank account and was told no way to issue a refund. I called corporate and get told through automated system you have to deal with the local franchise and it hangs up. With all the stress this pandemic has caused offering customers some sort of understanding and working with them would go a long way. I will never give them my business again and make sure to share this with anyone I can.

This is my second review of this establishment. Ive been a member since they have opened and very little has changed. Usually the staff is very nice, but sometimes they are not. Facility is kept very clean. As Ive stated in my past review I feel the weight room is very substandard, cramped and dangerous at times, yet some of the machines are so randomly scattered and wasting huge amounts of space. Monitoring of people bringing too much personal stuff into gym is reallySlipping. Some younger girls seem to be exempt from the dress code. I cannot comment on any of their classes or the benefits of being a black card member since these added benefits are of no interest to me. One of my last concerns is the cramped in front desk and table area, what a mess of confusion, even when they are only slightly busy this area is a total waste of space, the desk area is way too big with enough room back there for 10 workers when only three are needed. Move the front office out of the corner and put the tables over there. Give them a try and see for your self. Hope I can give 4 stars in the future.

A couple of weeks ago I started to go as a guess with a friend, because she did not want to go by her self. Eventually she stop going. So my husband and I decided to signed in for the $23.00 at month deal . Well I’m a mom of a 3 month old and I don’t really work out much but once in a while I like to go and use the hydro massage bed, which I used to use it when I was going with my friend and without a problem nobody ever said anything to me or her that we couldn’t use it. Until today. I decide to go with my husband and, I wanted to sing to use the hydro massage bed, but this girl rudely stated that I couldn’t use it at all and if I wanted to use it I had to buy my own black card member???? And that’s how you lose a customer 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not enough weightlifting equipment, but a lot of cardio equipment

Great selection of workout equipment, and plenty of treadmills with individual tvs attached. The staff seems friendly. The biggest issue is finding a parking place. The lot fills up on week nights. Popular place to workout.

I love the staff here. All employees t the desk are very friendly. I dont know the name of the guy but he is tall, a middle-aged man, he is so kind and helpful..everybody is..they answer your questions, make sure you get your queries away and they are happy to assist you. They give u options and help u make a decision Love them! I just wish the faucets in the ladies bathroom were a little better. Also, they should put paper towels in the bathroom- above the trash can.

I love the wadworth planet fitness. Its set up great there is enough room to do everything. The staff make the difference. Compared to other planet fitness centers in the area, wadworth has the friendliest staff.

Petty good gym. It can get busy in the evenings when people get off work. Locker rooms and bathrooms are clean. Staff always smiles and greets people walking in and out. Lots of equipment and machines to use along with free weights. It is centrally located and easy to find with lots of space to park outside.

Great place. love the staff. love the environment. yes, at times you have to stand around and wait to speak to an employee, or wait for a tanning bed, but that’s what happens when you have hundreds of people walking through the doors everyday. since the gym opened i haven’t seen anyone just standing around doing nothing. someone is always helping someone, so reading these 1 star reviews makes me laugh. It’s the same people making the same reviews. Do any of you know how customer service works? it isn’t easy, especially dealing with people like those writing these negative reviews. “the staff doesn’t know anything about fitness” so why are you asking for their help then huh? I’m willing to bet the person who wrote that comment has horrendous form and THINKS they know fitness!! it’s the same narrative across the country for all planet fitness gyms. So, stay at home and work those fingers, the rest of us will be at the gym bettering ourselves:-)

Great price, fantastic hours, amenities clean/working and in proper order. Certain staff are very unwelcoming and flat out rude, the majority of staff are knowledgeable of equipment but have awful attitudes. I had a issue with a employee by the name of Lizzy, roughly 45 days ago, Im still waiting for a manager or owner to call me back about my complaint. I called corporate twice and was told both times I would get a call back and still have no call. I also asked to cancel my membership but was denied that until I got a call so Im stuck paying for a membership to a club I will not go to . My suggestion is go to the Copley or Akron club in Hawkins. Much better staff.

I love working out at the Planet Fitness in Wadsworth. OH! The staff is always so friendly and always willing to answer any questions I have. The facility is clean and kept up with! I have been to a couple other Planet Fitness locations and the cool thing about this one is it has a mezzanine with extra workout equipment on it! The hips and abs area is my favorite part! You also cant beat the price of the membership! I always leave feeling like i got a great workout in! I am very excited that they have finally brought a Planet Fitness to the Wadsworth area!

I disagree with all the negative reviews. The employees always great me with a smile and I always get into a tanning bed as soon as I need! Yes if you go during 5-8pm it is going to be busy!!!! So go during a slow time if you want the gym to yourself. I love going to the Wadsworth location!!

Wadsworths Planet Fitness has the standard workout devices and excellence in which you can always expect from any Planet Fitness. This particular gym has a second floor to workout at which brings your game up to the next level.

I came to this gym because of the convenience of the hours and the price. I don’t have to meet with a personal trainer or pay extra for classes. I don’t have to pay for a key fob to get in the door and I don’t have to pay a yearly membership fee. Freedom to workout, how and when I want! I love the layout of the gym. I love the cool interior of the locker room. And it’s CLEAN! Please keep it clean.

Work across US, so this review is just for this local gym not a review of the PF brand. If you are just passing through the area I would reccomend this PF over the one just east of this location because this PF has up to 75 lbs dumbbells while the east PF only had up to 60 or 65.If that is not important to you the east PF had a better layout and parking lot. I think both had 4 smith machines.For locals: Its PF. cheap, low/medium weight lifts, no barbells/only smith machines, etc...4 stars b/c parking lot and layout is awkward for free weights/cables (support beam in a bad spot and impacts cable workouts slightly).

I never thought I would give a Planet Fitness 5 stars, but this is by far the best location I have been to. First, Planet Fitness focuses on affordability and convenience so Im not comparing it to a premium gym, but this location is a great value. The Wadsworth location is a little on the smaller side but still has a great selection of equipment compared to other locations. The facilities are always clean and everything is well maintained, and the staff are professional and friendly. The clientele is diverse and overall very respectful and courteous. Finally, this location does a great job of following the Planet Fitness creed of acceptance and non-judgement towards all, without swinging too far the other way. Many locations I have been to, seem to actively judge and push away anyone who is muscular, wants to lift hard, or dares to wear a cut-off. Wadsworth does a great job extending the judgement free zone to everyone, and I have really enjoyed my workouts there.

I belong to two gyms, and PF by far is the largest, most equipped workout location! Always clean, well run and inexpensive as gyms go. u cant go wrong here

I USED to like coming here but it seems that I have been getting the same issues as many others.. The RUDE staff that wont greet/talk/acknowledge that you are even there, and then gives an EYE roll to boot. The over-drafting on my account, the waiting list for the tanning. Its NOT organized NOR a TRAINED staff. The last straw was the MAN dressed as a woman in the womens room!! NEVER again

Staff is very friendly and willing to teach you. I suggest cleaning machine BEFORE AND AFTER I see a lot of people not cleaning.

Love this gym. Plenty of machines and I never wait for a treadmill. I typically exercise early in the morning. If you are going to tan in the afternoon there will probably be a wait.

Close (distance) but so far away (from respectable). I keep wanting to make it in. Then I read the reviews. When the same negative stuff is said about the hands-off nature of the disinterested staff every week and their bosses come on here and respond theyll take care of it--well clearly they wont. Ill keep working out at home till you get your Sister Act together. Also, reviews are.pretty legit on these fitness places cuz people check em out until happy--I mean, you aint reading this stuff about SNAP Norton or SNAP Manchester. YOLO.

Best workout place the atmosphere is awesome and you can workout and then get a massage on there beds and chairs and also tan what more can you ask for I go here pretty much every day. Love it

I am sorry to say that the customer service has much need for improvement most of the time.My opinion is based on my interactions with the MILLENNIAL age staff members. As a client/member...standing at the counter waiting for a staff member to decide to speak to you FIRST is totally unacceptable and not professional. I always have to get their attention and tell them what I need. I do not remember ever having a millennial say Hi how can I help you, what can I do for you???? They are busy on their phones or talking to each other and waiting for the other staff member to do the work of talking to me and not them. Very rude actually

New doesnt always mean great .... u get what u pay for for sure. but ur there to do work and u made the first step to healthy life so work with what u got and dont give up chain gyms are all the same and its about $$ to them DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT U OR YOUR HEALTH!

I think it is ridiculous that people who just get off work or are coming in to just tan, have to wait for the people who already signed up to tan 3 hrs prior due to them working out in the building. I should be able to walk in at 620 and sign up instead of having to wait till 9 at night because of the people have hogged up the list. And they have double charged me 3 separate times and overdrafted my bank account 2 times. Then even I go in to get answers on why this keeps happening but since I actually have a job and cant come in 9-5 I just get ripped off and pretty much get told there is nothing they can do about it. I used to love coming here. I dont anymore.

Hardest part is showing up. Staff is awesome and very welcoming. The place is kept very clean.

I went to sign up today. Customer service was superb and I was given a tour through the facility by a kind gentleman. The price is right for anyone looking for a workout, beginner or not. I’m looking forward to my workout with Planet Fitness.

The locker room set up isn’t the best. Only one mirror that’s not in bathroom area away from all your stuff. Limited seating in locker room. Benches are wall units that sit below the lockers so a couple times a week your right on top of someone. I’m used to Xport fitness and the locker rooms are huge with center benches to get out of the way. For some reason they go back in forth between cloth towels and paper towels to clean the machines. Cloth are much more conveniently place as they are at the machine. Severely overcrowded during the first couple months as the resolution people take over. Also certain machines for abs they only have 1 of. The weights area gets overcrowded almost every day. The 30 minute workout area isn’t explained well enough on the tiny sign they have so people just camp out on machines.The staff is super nice, always seems clean, lots of diverse machines. Upper area for eliptical and treadmill gives a little more privacy and is more relaxing for the workout. Generally good parking. Offers tanning beds, red light machine, and hydro massage beds.In general it’s a great gym...it gets so much better when the NY resolution people leave and you can bust out an awesome workout in an hour and almost immediately hit a hydro bed or tan. I’d recommend it March-December. January and February like most gyms are obnoxious.

I originally signed up at this location almost a year ago. Upon signing up I was never showed around the gym, showed how to use the equipment, or explained how the tanning works etc. When I had decided to tan I stood at the counter waiting as the staff member was having a conversation with a guest and I did not want to interrupt. It wasn’t until the guest had asked if I needed something that the employee finally felt the need to see what I needed. After that I transferred my membership to a planet fitness else where. I haven’t been to this location in months, but was in the area and figured I would stop by. Yet again another staff member, in conversation with a guest completely ignored me, seeing as though I was confused and didn’t want to interrupt. I left and I will not be back. Very sad being that this is a very nice gym, in a great area, close to school and work as for the staff members 👎🏻

I think its awesome that there is a planet fitness in Wadsworth It would be even more amazing if you would ask your members not to take the entire parking lot for the other stores there. Its not fair to those patrons to have to carry heavy bags of dog food or a pizza clear across the parking lot in the rain, or snow.

First time there and it was a little overwhelming at first but enjoyed it. The only thing I dont care for is we did the black membership to do the tanning and all but yet have to buy our own tanning glasses. I think if u pay for it u shouldnt have to unless u would lose your first pair. Second thing I didnt like is there isnt enough lockers for everyone.

I have worked out at a bunch of different gyms, both chain and independent. Planet Fitness is always clean, and because of its size, you rarely have to wait for equipment.

Rude staff, knowledge of health and fitness by staff encountered so far has been incredibly useless. Owners of this club are not local which creates a sense of profits first, your needs second.

Staff is TERRIBLE and I mean absolutely horrible.. this place is going to lose a lot of customers if they dont get their teenage staff under control.. went tonight around 10 group of 5 or 6 teenage girls behind the counter and I stood there for a while.. another woman showed up and they still continued to talk.. apparently not one of them wanted to clean the tanning bed.. if you want people to take this place seriously then get your teenage staff under check.
