Max Nails is my favorite nail salon in the Portland metro area. It is clean, comfortable, and I get a beautiful flawless result every time. During my last visit, I was in a hurry, and Eric gave me a fabulous shellac pedicure within my short time frame. Getting my nails done at Max Nails just makes me happy, plain and simple.

I just got a gel manicure, but it was a great experience. Very nice, took time to make sure each nail was perfect. I will definitely come back! The nails were worth the drive.

The lady did a great job on my nails!! I got a longgg coffin shaped natural nail colour & it was sooo smooth looking & perfect. I could tell she really put time into perfecting my shape, nail apex, & made sure I was happy with my colour.

It was my first time, when I arrived the guy was very RUDE. I asked him how it works the check in and he looked upset then he was just in the phone.The lady who did my pedicure and manicure did it so fast (I was with my mother in law) and she got a good massage. I did not.They try to do everything so fast, so they don’t do it correct. Our nails was fresh and at the minute we went out it was ruined.I don’t recommend this place.

Hannah is amazing!!! I drive from Happy Valley just to see her. She pays excellent attention to detail and is one of the only gals I have found that actually design my acrylic nails to fit naturally on my petite hands!!!

I love to treat my daughter to pedicure and nails every 2 weeks. I normally dont mind the lack of time spent on the massages with the pedicures and manicures because the price point is so good here. However, they have just raised the prices and I paid more than $40 more for the services and did not receive better care for services rendered. Id rather go to a better quality salon to get better treatment if Im going to pay higher prices. Maxs girls are too rushed with their care for their price. Not a good move.

Hands down the best place Ive ever been to for a dip manicure! The first time I came in I got Mary as my nail tech and I will be requesting her every time now! She does such a thorough job and pays very close attention to detail and it shows in both the appearance and how long the manicure lasts. I went 4 whole weeks without my nails chipping! Highly recommend this salon.

I got a gift certificate for this salon and loved it. When I came in wirh a complicated design they worked hard to make it happen for me. They staff always seems friendly and communicate well. I broke one of my acrylics a few days after getting them and they were repaired and repainted so quickly. I enjoyed both my visits here.

I have been going to Max Nails for years. Great experience and I get great compliments on my nails regularly. I especially like that they are committed to using sterile instruments. I have never had a problem with getting someone else’s “germs” in my toe nails. Lovely people giving lovely healthy nail care!

After going to many other salons in the area, I have found on that I have been going to for the past several months pretty steadily. They have a great selection of colors, its clean, and theyre all very nice and accomodating. I have also noticed that my nails never chip or fade, and last for weeks. Ive been to salons in which my nails chip or peel within a week, so this place has been absolutely great.

I just moved to San Antonio and I will be missing this place. The vibe is very relaxing, the service is so fast, efficient and professional. I have had multiple mani/pedis from very talented people. If you want a dip manicure go to Tina she is the absolute best!!! I recommend this place to everyone in Portland. Good luck Max Nails, miss you Tina!

Worst experience we’ve ever had. The atmosphere is rushed; it feels like their goal is to get you in and out as soon as possible, like all treatments are “express”. My husband and I both went in for pedicures, and we both felt the same way upon leaving. Would not come back, not worth the prices. The lady didn’t even let me wait enough time for my nails to dry before offering to help me with my sandals so I could get going. Not happy.

I visited this nail spa cause it happens to be open on Sunday and my daughter and I really needed a fill. Great service, very clean and friendly staff. Our nails look SO GOOD!! Way better than the place we were going to in Beaverton. We will definitely be back!

Max the owner does beautiful nails and is a very nice person....but .....the fault in the salon lies in the efficiency of scheduling appointments and timeliness in keeping those assigned times.... my experience there was even when having an assigned time for an appointment Max seemed to be always running late by sometimes one half hour which occurred almost every time I went there except if you were the first appointment of the day.....Gave up on the salon when I made an appointment for a pedicure and fill, with someone answering the phone other than Max. Arrived there and the person had not even put the two appointments on the schedule. So after one half hour, was shuffled around to nail nail tech I had not scheduled or anticipated doing my nails....I would say for this salon their major weakness is very poor scheduling and customer service....since this is a service industry doing nails well is not the only facet in keeping customers....I have never been to another salon when having a scheduled appointment needed to sit and wait for the number of times it has occurred at this one..this salon could certainly improve on their efficiency in scheduling and timeliness in keeping assigned appointment times...If you schedule for a specific nail tech you do not expect to be shuffled around to someone else.

Was looking for the right nail salon after moving and I think I found one! I was greeted and offered a drink as soon as I walked in. The salon is very new and clean. I got the gel pedicure and the lady did an excellent job. I would definitely go back to the place and highly recommend the salon. Thank you.

Terrible experience at this nail salon. Been here a couple of times and they were consistently rude. My last experience I was charged $25 for a manicure, but my bank account showed that I was charged $52 to my debit card. WATCH OUT FOR THIS PLACE, SINCE THEY COULD OVERCHARGE YOU WITHOUT YOU KNOWING. I had to give it 1 star, so I could post this; however, they dont deserve even a 1 star rating.

I got my pedicure done here and i was shocked when i gave the lady my debit card. She said we take tips in cash only so we dont have to pay taxes! I have to pay taxes on my tips! Taking advantage of the US... nice!

I was here a few times before the final time. It had always been ok, I always felt rushed no matter if I had made an appointment or walked in to see if they had time, I always asked. I never assumed they had time and was always ok making an appointment at another time. The last time I was there I walked in and asked if I could get a full set of acrylic nails. A lady was very nice and said yes, Maybe 10 minute wait. I was very ok with this. I was called over and within 10 minutes the owner came over and started yelling at the lady, she immidiately stopped and he walked away and she just sat there for a few minutes. She was clearly upset over something. She had completely forgot about the shape I wanted and after she had shaped them she had realized it wasnt the shape I wanted. She began apologizing and I told her it was fine. I felt bad for her that she had been treated the way she had been and was so upset that she forgot what I wanted. He should have waited for a later time to confront her. This place also makes me feel that if you are not in with the owner than you dont get the same treatment as the people who are regulars.

Half the staff at this place knows what they are doing and the other half are terrible. I asked for a gel pedicure and ended up with regular nail polish and the woman doing my nails didnt even know what was wrong until Max told her. Ridiculous. They had to redo the whole thing. And then... I got a 20% discount for the inconvenience. Plus, when you make an appointment, half the time you end up waiting. I had to come back an hour later. While I like some of the people there, I doubt I will be going back.

I found Max by chance over 10 years ago when he had his shop in West Linn. I was so excited when he moved into Lake Oswego - not my home area but closer than the drive to WL. But - Max is worth it!! He does such quality work that its hard to go somewhere else even to get a broken nail fixed while on vacation.

I have known Max for many years. When I found out he opened his nail salon here I was over the moon happy!!! I highly recommend his salon!

I hate to post this because they were very nice and their color selection was fantastic but I had to go back 3 times to get nails fixed that simply snapped in half. I have had long coffin nails for a few years and this has never happened before. Oh, and a 4th that I just had to glue myself because I could not stand to go back one more time. All this in one week of getting them done. They were very accommodating and didnt charge me for the fix but cut me on every occasion I went there. The thing that I found most alarming was there were no precautions taken when it came to bleeding wounds. The nail polish was swiped right next to it. Then continued to touch my hand without any gloves and then touched othe various items. Also every time I went in they attempted to use their own file instead of the nail kit I had very clearly brought. Being liscened and working in a medical facility this was shocking to me. Id be very concerned with sanitation.

I have gone to Max Nails for about a year now. I always felt they did a very good job. they take their time and have a great selection of color, etc. However, I made an appointment on Friday for 4 manicure/pedicures. We came in and they did our manicures and then started doing pedicures for some other customers. I asked Max why they werent setting us up for pedicures and he said that he didnt know we wanted them and that he only had us booked for manicures. I was with my two nieces who were visiting from California and they were very bummed. He then proceeded to say that he could get two of us in now and then do the other two after that as they were already booked with other customers. Ok. Then he spoke in Vietnamese for a few minutes and that was it. I then asked if we could take him up on that and at least let my nieces get their toes done. He then said, oh never mind we cant we are already booked. Ok, I get it he overbooked, his mistake not ours. He never apologized or anything. He just kept doing his clients nails while we stood there dumbfounded. His client even offered to come back later if it meant the little girls could get their toes done. I was very appreciative of her offer, but said it was ok. Max, the owner, didnt offer us anything. He didnt even apologize. He just charged us full price for the manicures and didnt even say good-bye when we left or offer to make up for it next time I came in. So, we will not be coming back. Its sad because its a great location and they do a great job. But customer service is the most important to me, being a business owner as well. There are MANY other choices in the Lake Oswego area and what he threw away with poor customer service and lack or care for his customers in any way, another business owner will gain. Even just an apology would have kept me as a customer.
