I never write reviews but I came to moon nails and the service for my pedicure was very all over the place and I was super unsatisfied. I was greeted and seated to have my pedicure and an older man was getting my drink ready everything was fine. I asked for a deluxe pedicure and first of all it was not deluxe it wasn’t even a basic pedicure. I sat down and a younger man was giving me a pedicure. He put my feet in water and pretty much that’s it he grabbed a cuticle cutter and stared cutting my nails with it. He never clipped my nails. He never filled my nails and he never buffed my nails and he never cleaned my cuticles. He pulled out some scrub and started massaging my feet and then washed that off. He walked away and grabbed a gel machine. He started applying gel to my toes and I let him know that my toes were never filled and since this older lady was working on my “manicure” he said “I did file your nails” he never filed my nails he never cleaned my cuticles . He just kept going and after he was done applying gel to my toes he started cleaning my cuticles around my fresh gel polish And he continued to file my nails with fresh new gel polish. Horrible experience. He cut my nails with the cuticle cutter way too short. Then my manicure was horrible I paid over 80 for this. Absolutely unsatisfied. The thing that upset me the most is that when I went to the front to pay and I let him know what my concern was because I didn’t want other customers to hear my bad review he didn’t even say nothing! He stared at me. I don’t mind paying for something that I am pleased with. If I didn’t want to pay for it I would of never walked in the doors to begin with but service by this younger man was awful. My manicure was horrible and super rushed I had to let the lady also know that my nails were never filed. She filed them after my lotion massage was done. I will never be returning here again my money will never support this unprofessional business.

Booked appointment on their own website and chose full set acrylic for $32. Nothing on their site indicates extra charges for shape of nails or tips. Even stated in the notes, Would like full set of acrylic and gel polish. Received a text confirming what was booked.After nails were done, was told by technician: That is $85...........Asking why so much from booking online for $32, was told they had no idea what was online and that they did not know what is on their own site and the prices were old. Stating this is not the customers fault, he said he knew but they charge for the shape and tips on top of doing the nails.Never have I been told I was being charged for shape of nails....and the tips were the shape I wanted to begin with. So not sure why it was charged to begin with.They gave the excuse it was a language issue that nothing was discussed to the customer before doing the nails and the extra charges. This was due to the fact it was told, the owner is in Vietnam and has his mother in charge who is not able to speak English with customers. For this, they REFUSED to give the difference back for the overcharge for (their words) lack of communication.Not sure how this business will last if they have a small notebook on their front desk that a customer cannot be told the price of tips and shaping, along with what was done for a full set.When they tried to show the prices of what they were charging, it was not found. The person that was speaking asked someone else how much the shape and tips were, as again, it was not in the book. They spoke for a bit and then came up with $10 for the tips and did not give the price for the shaping.Employees never stated anything would be extra and nothing is on the walls showing pricing and the book they have doesnt look anything close to having prices in it. Then to also say the pricing on their own site was old and not valid and claimed ignorance on it even existed speaks volumes. They didnt even know who was in charge of the website or the online booking system, which shows how much they will be charging.They lost any recommendations from me and future business for a difference of $53 to charge someone for tips and their shape and could not show how and why in their own book, when it originally showed $32 for full set acrylic. I would give negative stars if I could...

I really loved my nails and the place was very nice as well as the workers. It was also conveniently located near me in China Spring and I got a 15% discount for my birthday! 🥳🎈🎉

Wont be going back to this salon and I only left tip out of goodness of my heart, it wasnt deserved. Lady who seemed in charge tried to rush us through everything and kept talking in her language to the lady doing my daughters nails. It was annoying and unprofessional. The man who added top coat to my daughters nails appeared hostile and seemed to be arguing with lady in charge. Ive experienced this in other nail salons too so Id rather just buy gel kits and do my own nails. I only took my daughter because it was a birthday gift from her grandmother.

Very rude staff. Be sure to wear your designer clothes and purses because your experience is based on looks. If you look like you have money you will get a 5 star experience. I had the worst customer service experience and wont be going back. I will take my money elsewhere. The quality isnt good, they rushed me out the door. 2 days later my nail color was coming off. My thumb nails were way shorter than the rest as well. Never judge a book by its cover because I worked as a bartender for years and know what a good tip is and how to treat a customer.

Moved to town and been looking for a new salon and finally found moon nails. Love it!

Sad ! New owner now again, I went there 3 times for same service - each time the price went up! Who charged 75$ for deep nails?????? I told the lady front of her customers that this is ridiculous…. Op across the street charges 40$ some places in Waco go up to 50$ …. I will not go back to this place

How is the best! I had my nails dipped and he did an absolutely fabulous job. This was on my first visit, on my second visit I did not get How but Kevin. I wasnt very pleased with his work, but I dont think Kevin was feeling well. And it was on a Saturday and they were really busy. But I will be going back.

They were very kind! You might have to wait alittle, but it is very worth it!! They did a great job on my nails and I love their pedicure service! The lemonade is also very good😋😋

Absolutely zero foot or hand massage with pedicure and manicure! Basically paid 200+ for lotion and nail clipping. Very poor quality.

This is by far the best mani and pedi I have ever had. I came in with a fairly complex picture. The color matching is spot on, the shape is perfect and I love the flowers. By far the best staff I have seen here in the years that I have been coming. I just hope they are able to maintain the same level of care because they have sure set the bar high.The picture is what they look like after 2 weeks.

My 7 year old daughter and I went in for manicures and I got a pedicure. Haley was amazing! Very helpful with my questions because I’m a serious nail biter and told me her opinion on what I should do that would work best with my situation. I got the birthday discount which was awesome. I will definitely be going back. This is the first time in YEARS I’ve went and got a mani and a pedi. Highly pleased and will definitely recommend to others in the China spring area.

I heard good things about his place and decided to give it a try. Kim did a full set- dip on my nails. She was very friendly and her attention to detail was amazing. All the staff was friendly. While Kim was working on my nails, a gentlemen brought a drink menu and offered me something to drink. I chose a sweet tea in which he brought to me in a wine glass with ice and topped with a slice of lime. The place smelled so nice and was very clean. There are plexy glass windows between the nail tech and client. Not only does it seem to provide an extra safety precaution for COVID reasons, but it provides a shield from the debris of the old nails being drilled off, if that makes sense. I’ve been to several places around Waco and this little place in China Spring is my favorite.

My experience here on today (10/16/20) was very much so disheartening. The owner of the shop did a full set on me. He was very aggressive and seem as if he did not want to do my nails. He was very attentive to the other customers. He stopped several times and made me feel as if I’m not a valued customer. Not trying to throw the race card out but as I evaluated how he interacted with the other races, he was very friendly, gentle and attentive. All I wanted was fair treatment. I will not be returning. If you stand against unfair treatment, hopefully you will not go to this place of business.

Bee did my pedicure today and she was wonderful. She was very professional, very attentive and caring. She did a great job! Was very impressed with how safety conscious the salon was with the covid19 concerns. Everyone wore masks and gloves and the way the individual stations are set up it really puts your mind at ease so you can relax and enjoy your time there.

Place scammed us out of 50 dollars, wouldnt recommend, its been over two weeks and we havent gotten our money back.

I was there the other day. Many new faces, the nail technician (Na) did a wonderful job.

I usually dont get my nails polished but enjoy manicures. Went in for a manicure, he cut and shaped my nails, cleaned up my cuticles, and filed the ridges of my nails. No massage when he added lotion to my hands, barely even worked the lotion in. Didnt buff my nails at all so you could still see scratch Marks from filing. And then charged me $21.

Tony is awesome I don’t want anyone else to ever work on my toes. I’be has technicians in the past in other places that are so rough on my feet and cut the so deep it rips or hurts. Tony is gentle and wants to ensure customer satisfaction.

I got acrylics put on. The nail tech never let me pick the length he just cut. They used gel polish and said it was normal polish. Then they did a normal top coat. The top was dry and everything underneath was wet. I went in to have them fit it and they said I has to pay if I wanted a different polish. I had to do my own polish at home. Dont waste your time there. Never going again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! My toe nail polish is clumpy and they didn’t go all the way to the cuticle only 3/4 of the nails are painted. I also got the dip nails and they are already coming off after 4 days. They are also crooked and uneven. They cut me twice! Then they charge you $5 extra for everything... extra length, to shape them, etc! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!!! Don’t go here it will be a complete waste of your money, and you will have to end up paying double to go get them redone or fixed somewhere else.

China Spring Native here. Ive been here twice and got a different person this time, but my daughter got the man I got last time which is great because hes good! The female that is doing my toe nails right now is good too. Very observant about when it tickles or hurts.Love having This salon right in town and like to hear them speak in their native tongue.

Came in with a vision of having galaxy nails, showed pictures and shared the shape I want along with the colors, the check-in process was quick and easy and and they even offer a point system which is really cool! This place is very relaxing and very unique from the music to the lights, and Very clean!! Anyways back to nails! I was sat down quick and offerd a complementary drink from there memu of so much to choose from (I ended up with a beautiful pina colada! 😋) my nails where shaped and the communication was key making sure I loved the outcome, I was then sent to get the rest of my nails done, David was AMAZING! A true artist, he had about 6 different dip powders and said that the galaxy is not just 2 colors, they are all different. The detail this man did on each nails and made it so unique was so cool to watch. Ill deff be back witg some creative ideas to try out with him!

TONY gives the best pedis in WACO I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my feet. He does an amazing job every time, he never misses a beat or never does he rush he makes sure everyone gets the best experience even if they busy! Just went to Moon Nails for the first time. I moved here from CA recently and was very happy to find a clean, nice and friendly nail salon locally. Tony did a great job on my pedicure and gel manicure. He was very thorough and professional. I tried OP Nails down the street but didn’t care for their aggressive upselling tactics so was pleasantly surprised to find Moon Nail prices are more competitive and they did a better job! This will definitely be my go to nail place from now on!

I was having a hard time trying to find a perfect place for me to relax and have a nice pretty nails. I gave this place a try one time and liked it so far. They did a great job with the services, the people in there is super nice. The thing I dont like is the wait, they are very busy during the weekend so whoever want to go and visit, you should call in ahead.

Went here yesterday and my fill set was okay, then I decided to get my toes painted, which was definitely rushed.. not a fan. Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but I should have definitely just went to O.P. Nails.

They have brand new thick comfy pedicure chairs! The staff is super friendly. I got the new pedi that they offer and it’s $50. It comes with a 10 minute foot massage, hot wax bags for feet, a leg mask with hot towels, a hot stone massage, AND a hand, arm, shoulder, and neck massage. OMG! It was wonderful. I won’t be going anywhere else to get my pedicures. Tony is the one who did mine. He is very sweet and did a wonderful job.

I have really short, bad natural nails but they do an excellent job with putting acrylics on and doing exactly what i want. i love this place

Ive been here maybe twice or so, never had a bad experience until yesterday (02/08/16). I went to go get my brows done because its been so long. This was the closes place to me. Anyway, I went the lady came and got me as soon as I walked in to the room, laid me on the bed thing and started to proceed with the waxing but she was on the phone the whole entire process. How rude is that?! then when she was done she showed me, I didnt have my glasses so I couldnt really tell but she hurried me out there so fast. Once I got home I noticed that my brows were completely uneven. My left being thinner than my right. OH and on top of this the top half of my right brow was missing!!!! I only had a couple baby strands of hairs on the top which looks so ridiculous! I am beyond furious. I wanted to go back but I had to get ready for work. Ive never hated a place and person so much. My brows are my life. Thankfully I can fill them in with my Anastasia Brow Dip and you cant tell after but still. Im mad as hell and this lady shouldnt have 1, been on her phone and 2, should have paid more attention!!! I want to complain so bad but there is nothing I can do really now. She should get her license revoked or fired for not doing her job properly.

I came in for a fill and the guy did a horrible job on my nails. Im not from Texas and I came for a wedding. I was told they were one of the best places to go to. My nails literally have holes in them. My mother-in-law also got her nails done and all of her nails are uneven and messed up.

Absolutely TERRIBLE got my nails done and within 3 days all of them popped off!! The service was great the nails looked good for about one day when I called to complain I was yelled at and called a liar the owner is mean and hatful to his customers smh DONT GO THERE UNLESS YOURE WILLING TO PAY DOUBLE AND HAVE YOUR NAILS FALL OFF! I wish I could give them a 0 star

I am always pleased with the service I receive at Moon Nails. The salon is clean and all pedicure basins are cleaned and sanitized after every use. The people are very friendly and I feel my patronage is appreciated.

I have been going to Moon Nails since it opened. The quality of care has improved since Trish and her husband took over the shop. I wont go anywhere else. I have problems with my muscles and nerves but Trish has found a way to work on my feet and legs since they have a mind of there own. She can even keep my hands from moving too much. Trish and her staff has always been respectful when I go to the shop. Having open communication with your nail tech is important because they arent mind readers. They all know Im handicapped and assist in any way they can. Thanks Trish and staff for being so good to me.

I paid $68 to get a full set (dipped) and my grandmas fingernails painted.. my nails are getting yellow stains, they were not properly put on, theyre lifting from the edges, and my grandmas nails lasted like 2 days. I also asked for pink and ended up w ombre nails...

Tgis was the first time going to Moon Nails and Spa and this will not be the last time! I loved the staff and facility. It is very clean which is a priority for me. I got a mani - pedi and I have to say by far the best I have had in a long time. I highly recommend this place.

My nails were done in such a rush..one of my nails have been messed up and the clear coat wasn’t put on correctly. Plus I asked for a daisy flower as a design and it looks like a firework..I will never be going back. It’s was expensive and I defiantly didn’t get what I was paying for. All because they were wanting to go home... horrible experience!!!!

Absolutely terrible. I went in for a mani/pedi & although the gentleman did a good job on the pedicure, the lady for the manicure was horrible! She barely did a manicure for all of 3 minutes and even then her attention was on getting the next customer. She didnt bother to speak to me or respond to my questions, and the manicure barely lasted a day. It chipped on 4 nails by the next morning! I went back to have them fix it and they werent helpful or apologetic, they told me it was my fault for not getting gel! I understand up selling but this wasnt my first mani/pedi, I know a regular should last you a few days, not chip off in your sleep! When I insisted they fix it they simply put another coat over the existing one & said ok, go.. ?!!! I dont recommend anyone go to this salon, I know I def wont be back.
