They called to verify time, since I had a window of time. Masked and dressed in uniform. They explained services, and discussed what parts were needed. I have Choice Home Warranty, so microwave will be replaced. Also discussed additional services were available and had email sent with replacement information. Thought the entire appointment was quite pleasant with a great outcome
Had washer issues and a tech has been here 4 times already and it is still not fixed. Had an appointment today and no one showed up, I called and they said there was no tech available and I had to reschedule. I asked for a refund of my $500 and was told it would be 30 days before I got a refund and the parts already installed would have to be sent back. Horrible customer service even when I spoke with a supervisor. Will never use Sears again.
Did not show up on date appointment was for.Three days later came and said it was a blown fuse.Returned five days later. Could not fix microwave.Said they would report this to Sears warranty.Still waiting
My refrigerator was not working for a month before Sears finally sent a knowledgeable repairman to fix the problem. Every time I called I got shuffled from one department to another and I ended up being on hold for hours and hours trying to get the right person to help me. Then they kept sending people that were unable to fix the problem. It turned out to be a simple fix, replacing the compressor, but two of the companies that Sears set up to come did not even know how to change the compressor! I purchased an extended warranty so I didn’t want to have to pay someone else to fix my refrigerator. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the last person that came really seemed to know what he was doing and was able to fix the refrigerator. He was professional and courteous. I would not recommend Sears appliances to anyone.
Technician was knowledgeable and had those parts necessary to repair the refrigerator. Explained what he had to do and how long it would take. The repair was completed, the refrigerator tested and he was gone within five minutes of his estimated time. Only complaint is the wait time between scheduling appointment and technician arrival.
I used Sears Appliance Repair Service for a ice maker not working. They serviced it the same day I called. Put in a brand new ice maker and repaired a broken wire in about 45 minutes, and were on their way. Excellent service and friendly and knowledgeable employees, from the call, to the repair. Repairman Chris arrived at appointed time and quickly assessed problem and repaired. Chris was the type of person you like to work with, friendly and knew his product. I would be willing to have him service my craftsman riding lawn mower if needs to be repaired in the future.
The company failed to keep their appointment and failed to call and reschedule. Seconed appointment canceled at last minute, company saiid they didnt have the part. Had to stay home for two days only to get nothing done. Finally got dryer fixed on 3d appointment. Worst experience ever.
The tech came and diagnosed the issue with my washer. To my surprise, he actually had the part needed to fix the issue in his van. He changed out the part and was done in just a few minutes and my washer works great.
The ice maker on our Kenmore Elite refrigerator which is only a few years old quit working about two months ago. We contacted Sears Home Service to repair it. The technician had to order a new ice maker. We had to wait for it to be delivered and then schedule another appointment for it to be replaced. A different technician installed the new ice maker. One month after it was replaced, the new ice maker quit working. We scheduled a technician (which takes at least a week or two) to repair the ice maker again. A different technician came and said we would need another ice maker and it had to be ordered. We could not schedule another technician until the new ice maker was delivered. At that time, we called and, again, we had to wait a week for a technician to install the new ice maker. Once again, a different technician came last Saturday to install the new ice maker. It still does not work! When I call Sears Home Repair, I have now been told that the earliest appointment for a technician to come is July 1, almost two weeks later. This is TERRIBLE customer service! Sears sent FOUR different technicians so there is no continuity in the service provided and the ice maker still does NOT work. I regret having purchased a Sears product or using Sears repair service. If we had not already spent over $300, we would definitely try to find a different and more reliable repair service.
The technician arrived later than the window they gave us, but quickly diagnosed that the motor on the ice-maker was shot. He changed it out and was gone within probably 20 minutes at the most. The only thing is, though, that it seems to be making loud noises when it empties.
Repairman was very knowledgeable. He even arrived a bit early. Very satisfied even though the machine was unrepairable. He was very professional.
Called the Waco, Texas Sears Service Department local number and my call was taken by someone in an exotic location - possibly India. The Rep was very helpful and scheduled an appointment almost a week later for the Sears repair person to fix our clothes washer. On the day (Monday) of the appointment, the Waco-area service person called to confirm that he would be at our house between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. He had not arrived by 1:30 pm and at 1:32 pm I received a text that the appointment had been cancelled. I again called the local number and spoke with an exotic person who, at first, could not even find the appointment. When she did find it, she stated that the appointment had been cancelled because the service person was sick. He sounded pretty healthy when he called earlier in the day but perhaps he was subsequently stricken with a wasting disease of some sort. The exotic person than said that we would be rescheduled for Friday. I asked for an earlier appointment as our dirty laundry was engulfing the house by this time. She said there were no earlier times. She was apologetic and none of this was her fault of course. But it is SOMEONES fault. We are not having our Kenmore appliance repaired and are buying a new washer instead. We will NOT by buying it from Sears.
Only one star for the subcontractor, Hammond Services. They were the worst! Three visits and still a non working Microwave/convection oven over the range. Hammond continued to bad mouth Sears, telling me to continue to complain. After filing complaints about Hammond and Sears, received eleven harassing calls from Hammond with threats of a law suit. I told Hammond, I was calling the police and they backed off. Sears probably paid in excess of $1000 for this Non repair.49 days without my Microwave/convection oven. Five stars for Sears repairman, Chris. He arrived and in 30 minutes and $3.00 part it was repaired. WHY did I have suffer with Hammond Services?Sears get rid of Hammond Services and be good to us the customers...we need a honest and good repairman, like Chris.

This company is very incompetent! They cannot repair a 48” GE Profile side by side refrigerator. Our refrigerator has been out since April and they have sent out SEVEN technicians, and it is now August and it is still not fixed! We had to wait 2 weeks every time they were to send someone out. The last time I was told they would come out either Friday or Saturday to accommodate me and they never showed up and never called to let me know anything. Don’t use this company! Very poor customer service!
SEARS EXPERIENCE: Completely ridicules. My refrigerator goes down in May 2017. Tech gets there finally on May 24. Does not have parts. Unit under warranty. Order parts but will not be back till 6-21-17. I explained that we cannot be without a refrigerator for that long and he instructed me to call 1-80-4MY HOME. Called and got bounced around and then was promised that I would get a phone call in 24 hours from someone that would be able to assist with my problem. No call ever came. Tech finally gets here on 6-21-17. Works on unit for about 3 hours. Leaves, stating the unit should be good to go and for us to let it run overnight and see if all is good. Prior to repair, the freezer was staying around 45 degrees and we could at least use freezer area for milk and other items but now unit not working at all. Call in again and they give me a reschedule date of 7-13-17. Ask to speak to a manager and they just pass me around from one person to another with the final person telling me that we will look into it and give you a call back within 24 hours. I have made multiple phone calls and NO ONE ever returns ANY of my calls. I now have no refrigerator and when the tech gets here he will have to order parts. Then we will be looking at another 3 weeks and will be well into August and if that dont fix it, we might be getting into October or November before repaired. Thank you Sears, you have now left me without a refrigerator for a family of 4 for the entire summer. This is not a washer or microwave that you can struggle without, this is a FREAKING refrigerator. You can look me up, I have bought a washer and dryer, microwave, dishwasher and yes, a POS refrigerator from your Waco store all within the past couple of years. These are all high-end units or at least they are supposed to be, but with our experience from your repair department, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DAMN THING FROM YOUR STORE AGAIN. Your store is like a BAD BAD BAD used car sales lot, make the sale but after that, customer is on there on. I have even gone to the Waco store and talk to the store manager. Your store manager, Jason, told me that I should of bought the extended warranty because then I would get preferred treatment. Wow, because I did not buy the extended warranty, we are to be treated like we are the scum at the bottom of a barrel and just have to wait our peasant turn. I will be posting this and other remarks to ever social media I know, sharing my experience with them so they do not make the same mistake I made by trusting Sears will take care of their customers. I worked at Sears in 1985-1986 time frame and have always tried to give my business to them. I will not be making that mistake ever again.

I have a one-year-old metal box supposedly called a refrigerator plugged into my outlet, but it hasnt worked for 6 weeks. We have had 7 service calls to our house, but I still have a non-working refrigerator. We have had to take several days off of work to wait for our repairmen.A part was ordered but was never processed. Faulty parts two times. Faulty diagnosis by one repairman. Sears only lets you know the approximate time the day of the repair. As a result, if you use the protection plan, just be aware that you may be taking several days off of work to allow them to work on your appliance.The service protection plan lemon policy appears to be a hoax as I cannot get them to let me know how many more service calls I can expect before they finally replace my refrigerator. The way they determine a repair/service call depends on how the mechanic closes the repair. Although they have finally provided a rental refrigerator, I have to go outside to the garage to use it as my kitchen does not have enough space for 2 refrigerators--one working and one not.I am so frustrated.
We had a lawn mower that wouldnt start. Sears got someone out to us the same day. At first I was taken aback by the arrival time (8am - 5 pm) but they actually did a good job of notifying us when the technician was on her way with about 30 minutes notice. The technician was very polite, explained the problems and options to us, and offered some maintenance advice to make our mower last longer. We were very happy with the quality of service.

The service tech was excellent. The service scheduling was terrible. Our oven fan failed on Thanksgiving day. The tech could not scheduled until 12/14...23 days later. After he confirmed the failure he had to order a part, and the earliest he said he could come to install it is January 7, 2019, another 24 day wait. The reason we have a service contract is because it guarantees that we will get service. It does not guarantee prompt service. If I lived in an area where there are other service options, I would not purchase a service contract. A 47 day wait for a repair is ridiculous.
Chris was extremely knowledgeable and professional - he certainly knew his stuff. Also, he was timely on his arrival at my home and was extremely courteous. Very happy!

I am still waiting on a call back. The Freezer unit isnt staying at zero degrees where it is set. Usually 10 degrees. Just waiting for it to go out again. The repair people were to call me back but Ive not had a call.
The service was great! The guy who repaired it was great and very professional. I would give it a 5 star rating, but the repairs were too pricey. I think if a person accepts the job that the price quoted for a visit should be included in the price you pay for repairs. If you dont accept the quote, then you shoul d have to pay just for them coming out. I am on a fixed income and the cost of repairs hurt me.Just saying!

The refrigerator was fixed for two days,, then went out completely! Had to get another fridge, lost some food again before we realized it was out again. The technician that came to fix the fridge was very nice & tried to help us.
Terrible service. Waiting 1 to 2 weeks for parts. Then another 2 weeks for another part. Then did not replace the compressor with the part that came in. It has been going on for over another month and now the refridgerator has completely quit working.
Our experience with your Sears rep. (Mr. Shannon ) was very pleasant.He answered all our questions and told us exactly what was wrong with our range, and explained how the replacement or new fixture worked. He was very professional and knew exactly how to repair my range to get it back in working order. So I would like to say thanks again to your rep. Mr. Shannon.
Joseph did a great job (again) repairing the mower. He also noticed a few items that were about to break and repaired those while he was here. Now thats service!!! Joe is the only reason we purchased an extended warranty agreement.
The technician came and changed the compressor which did not even last a day. Since that time Sears has not returned to rectify the mistake immediately. Instead they originally scheduled another service appointment for two weeks from the original appointment. Finally after much complaining on social media, Sears moved the appointment up by one week. However, the compressor will probably require changing again, and that will create another 2-3 week delay. Sears service is terrible and their response to their mistakes is even worse. I do not recommend Sears at all.
Knowledgeable and efficient serviceman who found and fixed the problem on the first visit. Excessive pressure to buy an overpriced home appliance warranty plan from the 3rd party scheduling service operator. Just be prepared to say no thanks many times over and to spend 3 times longer than necessary on the phone putting off the salesperson.
The repair person arrived promptly and completed the repair. His professional attitude is a credit to the organization. thats why we choose Sears products and the repair service. Keep up the outstanding work.

Scheduling: The Sears website will allow you to schedule an appointment anytime you want, but the people who schedule the repairmen will change it to fit the routes the repairmen work without calling you first. There has to be a better way to schedule a repair appointment.2. Call Center: The people manning the call center have a limited command of English leading to problems. The CSR told me that the repairman had the parts needed on the truck. This was not true, UPS delivered them the night before the service call. We had no visibility on this.3. Repairmen: This is the only bright spot. The guys they sent out were great.
The repairman who came to repair my riding mower was excellent. He worked to fix all that was going on with my mower. He actually resolved an issue that previous repairmen had not been able to find.I give him the five stars.Your scheduling system, however, I must say is a nightmare. I would give it a minus 5. It is such a nightmare to schedule a repairman that I just almost want to scream.
Part of our extended warranty includes a preventative maintenance check each year, Last year the technician pulled the refrigerator away from the walls vacuumed the coils. Gave us some suggestions about loading the freezer properly cleaned the gaskets and did a through job. He left a ticket telling what he did.This year the tech took the plastic off of the bottom of the fridge, looked under it and spent about 15 minutes trying to get the plastic part back on. He left my wife nothing about the services he provided. Taking the bottom off is all he did. NO vacuuming no nothing. I called and tried to get a receipt of what he had done for our preventative maintenance but got nothing but a run around. I would like to have a review of the services he performed and NO I am not happy with his service.
Your service man was on time and performed his duties promptly and efficiently. What I especially appreciated about this visit was that finally Sears came around to providing a narrower time window for the visit of their service man so that I did not have to commit an entire day to this visit.
They only come 1 day a week to my area, diagnose 1 week, send parts attempt repairs the next, #LG made fridge doing same issue, online shows there is no repair and should be replaced. Spend 2k on supposedly nice fridge and you get screwed
Are you serious - this is the 3rd time you have contacted me about the service I received on July 1st - no, the service on July 1st did not fix the problem with my washer! I am waiting 3 weeks for another service repair person to come to my home. I did everything I knew to do to get service sooner, but was told NO ONE could put me on the schedule any sooner, not even a supervisor or manager.........I would sure hope the next service call will be able to resolve the issue with my washer - service will be July 22nd.
Frig freezer not maintaining temp. After paying too much for repair it became clear that problem not fixed. Called to get them back. Told first appt was two weeks out. No priority even though they botched the repair. Called today when I received email rating my experience. Got Indian call center with poorly speaking rep. Sears better get it together.
The techs that showed up were very good and easy to work with. The fact that the I had to wait for an extra week because the tech that was to have shown up NEVER DID, so I had to wait a week and spend another day waiting for service.

Cody took the time and trouble to repair our ice maker. The previous technician barely even looked at it and expected me to solve the problem by describing a noise the ice maker was making.

LEE, the repairman was Excellent... BUT. Sears Repair group is an embarrasment.. 8 weeks to get my unit repaired, BUT WAIT. After 24 hours needs another part as it does not cool or freeze .Besides a total lack customer service (on the phone) and rude C.S. supervisor. If a US company is going to offer a Warranty you really need to have a call center that actually speaks English without the VERY Heavy accent from some foreign country. Instead of having call centers in US you save a dime so you can sell DEFECTIVE product. Could not understand her ....very weak apology,.SEARS has problems with the Elite Kenmore refrigerator, made by LG, compressors not lasting because LG has had ths problem. IT IS A KNOWN DEFECT. IT IS SO BAD THAT LG cant keep up importing these junk-a-meshieParts. SINCE it is a know defect (research LG Linear Compressor)It is so sad to see tha Sears has fallen SO FAR... even sadder that I have a 4 grand refridgerator that does not work..Total failure....in Sears and Sear Repair.( Again Repair Tech was great...) We finally got the original worker back and she did an excellent job. Sorry I cant say as much for the ones that took her place when she had to be out. Everything that needed to be done is complete and our oven is working well again.

Very bad experience. They never fixed or even tried to fix my machine . The machine was making a very bad grinding noise. The repair man even heard the noise. Instead of fixing machine his explaination was the washer did not like my clothes. After reporting the incident I was told they would send out a senior repairman. They did not, intead sent the same person. Again reported the problem, again the sent same person. After the fourth call I was finally told that was the only repairman They have. He was a nice guy but completely incompetent as repairman. Sears product is no good and service and extended warranty is not worth the paper is printed on.Bottom line they have a product that is no good and they have no intentions of fixing it.

I had an appointment to get my yard tractor serviced. The cost is prohibited. $99.00 for a service call and then there are other charges. I have never had to pay for tax on labor until this service call. I will not use Sears again to service my yard tractor.,

To Whom This Concerns, I have been very dissatisfied with your Customer Service Policy with Sears Appliance Dept. I understand in timely matter on getting the problem replaced or fixed but in this case, it seemed the right hand didnt know what the left hand was doing and vice versa. Lack of communication to say the least between every one.

They showed up to fix our dryer, within two hours the dryer was not working again, I immediately called them back and they said I would have to wait at least 24 hours to make another claim. When I called back I told the rep that my dryer was broken, she says is this your 2017 maytag fridge? Almost every person I have talked to is unable to have a clear concise conversation in English. They still have not come back out to fix my dryer.update- 8-7-18 they showed up for the 2nd time to fix the dryer, they told my husband that it was our vent that was causing the dryer to stop, (even though the dryer has been working fine for a year with the same vent) the tech told my husband to change the vent, which he spent saturday doing, and after two loads of clothes the dryer has quit again. they will be sending another tech out for the third time, they are in no hurry to get there.....
Our refrigerator gasket was broken. Shannon repaired it and did a great job. Stove ranges top was repaired by David. Both of these guys had many challenges with these products. They never gave up and made sure that they were repaired.Thank you

Worst in home service received. My riding lawn mower has a rattling noise when I first run it and then goes away after running awhile. The home repair guy didnt check to see what might be causing the noise. He said that was normal, i said after having my mower 2013 it had never done that. He also didnt even check to see why in the last couple of months that while stepping on brake lawn mower wouldnt start, or check to see why lawn mower didnt move forward after putting it in gear, or why my key gets stuck sometimes. This guy was the laziest I have ever seen. He just didnt feel like checking out anything. Now Im out of luck cause my repair protection plan has expired. Will never buy from Sears again if they cant have home repair guys that arent LAZY.

Very, very disappointed in Sear today. I have always bought my appliances from Sears. Our 7-year old (>$2K) Samsung refrigerator is no longer cooling well enough (thermometer reads 58 F) so we gave them a call. First, my husband is told they cant get to it until July 6th -- (3 weeks later); thats not acceptable, of course. So they say they will find someone who can do it sooner and will call him back in an hour. He waits a few hours then calls them back, and they place him on hold for a long time and then the call disconnects. I have to re-think whether I want to continue purchasing my appliances from Sears!!!

Paid $250+ to repair my dishwasher. Part was ordered and arrived in 2 day. Repairman arrived at about 4:30PM and had never worked on a double-drawer style dishwasher?? Eventually he installed the new part, but we did not have time to run a test cycle to see if the fix worked. I tested it later and it did not fix the problem...grrrrr. None of the numbers listed for Sears Repairs is correct...grrrr. Had to call the Sears Parts department and got someone from India with a very heavy accent that was difficult to understand...grrr. He said he had to schedule a new appointment 10 days later...grrr...and I would have to be there from 8am to 5pm....grrrr !!

A waste of money replacing a termostat is nearly as expensive as buying a new refrigerator. The thermostat cost $29.00 but sears charges nearly $400.00 to replace it.
