We had a good experience with Alameda, I think they did an awesome job building our pool. We ran into a few issues but they always kept us inform about what going into on.

The kids that closed the pool left the motor running. Several days went by before Inoticed it. Motor, rotor, impeller were shot. Store origionaly tried to tell me that a motor running dry for a few days would not cause the melt down I saw. Luckily I was in plant maintenance for 10 years and am familiar with water pumps. They eventually reimbursed me for my repairs. (I did them myself). The kids were also unprofessional and left about a lot of leaves in the bottom of the pool. Have not used them in 2 years and planning to never use again. Only leaving the review in the hope that they will stop spamming my in box with requests to leave a review.

The year before last, Alameda Pools designed and fitted a new pool cover for us. Every April before that when we opened the pool it looked like the Great Dismal Swamp. This year and last with the new cover the pool was pristine. We 💘 our new pool cover.

Alameda Pools changed our liner. They were very professional and did an awesome job! Would definitely recommend these guys!

We got a new pool liner, the thickest liner available in Virginia Beach and we switched from chlorine to SALT and added an electric heater. We had a few minor issues and they came out promptly to help us navigate our new system. We LOVE the salt system and we have been swimming since April 1st. My grandsons had a fabulous time Easter Week swimming every afternoon.

Alameda pools did an amazing job redoing our entire pool, filtration system and drainage work. They were very professional, clean, responsive and courteous. The price was extremely fair and they did not try to “up sell” me unnecessary equipment or services. We converted to a salt water pool from chlorine and the maintenance has been easy, and the work is much less involved in it’s upkeep.Their estimate was on point and the finished product is amazing. Alameda Pools did an awesome job with working to acquire the new heat pump for my pool in a parts constrained environment due to COVID. All staff were prompt and professional. Look forward to longer use of my pool now with the ability to heat up the water faster with the new heat pump instead of waiting for mother nature to do all the work. Will certainly call Alameda Pools first for all other future upgrades to my pool system and/or if I need my pool system serviced.

Alameda is great, I have used them exclusively for many years for my water analysis and chemicals. Unfortunately, they have decided to only be open when I am at work (they are no longer open on the weekend) so I will need to find a new business for this service.

We had an appointment and they didn’t even show up. Took off from work to meet with them and they didn’t even have the courtesy to give me a phone call as if my time and business is not valuable.

We just bought a house and came to get our water tested from the pool that came with it. First thing we saw was a nice young lady at a desk namedSabrina who smiled and greeted us. She tested our water, gave us recommendations on what to use and never complained about the insane amount of questions we asked. I highly recommend this store . If they build pools with this great customer service as well, they are on top with it all!

Hired them to replace my pool liner and replace the plumbing at the pump and filter. They even installed a new pad to help raise the equipment. All this was a great job. We tested the plumbing and everything was working. I then paid for them to close my pool for the season. I opened my pool the following summer and everything was good until I tried to use my two pool fountains. One of the fountains just poured water from underneath the fountain (all over the pool deck). When I checked, I could see that the pipe was completely broken underneath. This had to of happened when the person was closing the pool. Apparently they thought the fountains were just planters and tried to move it. Instead of saying anything he just left it! I spent thousands with this company and this is how they treat their clients! I will never trust this company again!

I recently purchased a mesh pool cover from Almeda Pools. Every person we dealt with was professional and prompt. Although it took awhile for the cover to arrive, this was due to covid deliveries not Almeda. Conner was very patient with my husband who asks alot of questions and was always professional and prompt. The 2 gentlemen that came out to install were friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable. So far cover doing well with the rough weather. Very pleased.

They installed a new pool liner for us. The service was quick, efficient and very good. They were also $300 less than our original pool people for same same quality (and brand) liner. Would definitely recommend them.

Alameda Pools Installed the nu-flow system to alleviate floating liner issues, installed pool light and installed new pool liner as well. The job was clean, efficient and professional. They are easy to work with and they clean up after themselves when everything is finished. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

We always take our water to be tested and they replaced the liner on our 32,000 gallons pool last spring.

Just completed a complete overhaul of my in ground pool. Replaced concrete deck, liner, coping, lights, sump pump for ground water and pool equipment. I had tons of questions and some changes to the plans they were very flexible. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them for any and all pool work.

Just had the most unprofessional experience with Mark at Almeada. An hour before he was due to show up for an assessment and estimate, he leaves a voicemail saying they cannot build the pool in my small yard. After a lengthy message with sketchy math my husband calls him back and tells him his math was off and a small pool does fit, Mark simply replies “I’m not interested in building a pool there”. So instead of being upfront and admitting the job was too small for them he makes up incorrect math, when he’s corrected just states “I’m not interested”. So be aware folks, if the job is too small for them you are not worth their time and they’ll throw numbers at you thinking you’re too dumb for simple math.

Friendly with useful advice. Every year when opening my pool I have bad liner float issues. Last year they installed their anti-float system and this year no floating issues at all. The first time in 12 years no float problems. Highly recommend them and the system.

All the people at Alameda have been great. They put a new liner in two years ago along with a Nu-Flo system to prevent my liner from floating. Prior to this system, my liner would float every time we had a good rain. Since the system installation, it hasnt floated once. Good work at competitive prices. I would highly recommend.

I have done business with the Alameda pool family for over 10 years. They have installed a total of 3 inground pool liners, 2 locking pool covers and other pool repairs. They have always been professional, dependable and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. We wont go anywhere else!

These people are spot on. If I have a swamp at the beginning of the season, they step me through it with ease, and with minimal cost and effort. Maintenance through the season is easy with their advice. They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and I drive out of my way to go to Alameda before the one around the corner to my house. The only negative- hours are a bit limited, especially on weekends. This is year 10 with my above ground salt water pool with one liner change (again clean and efficient work by the folks at Alameda.)

Alameda replaced my entire old pool. Everything including the deck. They did a good job. It was a huge job, handled professionally. Im quite happy with my new pool.

Great job responding to an immediate need to replace an aging liner and then revising the pool control system. My only concern with this team is that they did not ensure the pool ladder had appropriate padding in place and subsequently, the liner was damaged (its one of my rental properties). The liner has a 10 year warranty and I believe that ensuring that any items that can impact the liner would be part of a checklist to ensure its longevity

Had my pool liner replaced a couple of years ago and they did a great job. I was surprised by how the cleaned out and patched the cracks before installing the new liner. They cleaned up the old liner and the work area, leaving it just like before. Great price compared to others companies in this area.

Ive been going to Alameda for years, and when it came time to finally solve my ground water/floating liner problem, they had the solution! Its been 3 seasons now without having any issues, EVEN WITH the flooding that has occurred in recent past. Great people, great pricing and they deliver on time. I had a vinyl pool that periodically floated when we had a lot of rain. Then it would settle back with ugly wrinkles. Alameda installed a drain system with a submersible pump - problem solved.

I had my liner replaced over a year ago and they came to fix where it came lose right away and did a great job.I have more spots coming lose, we will see how long it will take this time.

Called about estimate for new inground liner, that took 10 day to schedule, after mark came out to give an estimate it has been over a week and still no written estimate. Poor communication was told 7-10 business days for estimate to be emailed. Company is not that big and busy to take more than a week to email. 3 other companies did quote and emailed that day.

Since my pool was installed the liner would float during a heavy rain and leave wrinkles at the bottom. Different things were tried to prevent the problem, but nothing worked reliably. I came across Alameda Pools and they were willing to take the drive up and install their water control unit. They were extremely professional and friendly. We had our first heavy rain this past week and the liner didnt budge. I couldnt be happier and I am looking forward not having to remove wrinkles at the start of every pool season. I cant recommend Alameda enough!

We just bought a new house that has pool and we never know anything about the pool and its equipments. Called and made appointment for instruction how to deal with pool and quote for pool cover. A very nice gentle man named Mark knocked our door on time even it was raining hard and than walked me through the entire process. He spent more than an hour to explain me over and over until he was sure I did receive all info from him and then showed me all type of pool covers. Which my wife and I have to decide which one we pick up.In the end I asked him what is the damage for today to be here and he replied with one numeric number 0 what a shock for me!!!!bottom line: This company not for your money, is for make you comfortable with pools specially people like us who never own a pool before and scare. Definitely recommending to all surrounding area in VB.
