I asked for almond shaped nails. These are not. Not a smooth overall look,, just lumpy,, uneven. I dont know how to post a picture.

My stiletto nails last 3 weeks between fills from this place. Absolutely outstanding!

Terrible service and experience. My initial visit to this salon was actually great. It was the Saturday morning of my wedding day. Ping gave me a gel french manicure. She was actually amazing. Very on point and professional. There was a nice gentleman there who seemed to be the owner. Must have been because all the staff was attentive and customers were taken care of as soon as they walked in. At least, acknowledged. Well on Saturday the 7th I went in around 4:30 to get a regular pedi and gel manicure. First off I was not acknowledged for awhile upon walking in. When someone finally acknowledged me she took her time in assisting me and setting up my chair for the pedi. Basically making me wait while she looked at her phone, chatted with the other techs and moved with no sense of urgency in caring for a paying customer. Then set me up in the chair and went to do someone elses nails without even advising me that someone else will be coming to assist me in 10 minutes. Mind you I was waiting almost 40 minutes by then. When I first came in I noticed she was sitting and looking at her phone for about 20 minutes but I assumed she was on break. I did expect to be taken care of properly after her coming off of it. Anyway the next girl spent MOST of her time talking and DISTRACTED. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! She ended up painting my nails a different color than my toes. I picked one color to use on both. The job she did was terrible. It looked so wide and unnatural.The gel and polish are completely apart. The first time with Ping the job was impeccable and lasted! I thought I had found a nail salon after moving to Virginia but no way! I wasted money and time there. I am sure if the owner/manager was there it would have another great experience. However, this was too bad for me to come back. Time and money wasted.

The three most recent visits have caused my change in rating. Very disappointed. I got told if I didnt like the way they did it I can go somewhere else. OK, too easy.Original review 8 months ago: Short wait maybe 20 minutes. Minh gave me a gel manicure. $27 and its perfect. The have massage at the end was fantastic. He is polite, professional. His work is accurate and fast. Not a fan of the lotion tho.

Cristina is the ultimate best! She is a diamond in the rough so to say. I wouldnt go to any other girl even when Im desperate because a nail broke!! She does my gel nails and is willing to do any kind of creation I throw her way. I totally recommend going to her for your nail needs.

I’ve been there twice now and both times had a great experience! First time Christina did a great job on my toes and is very gentle if you have ingrown toe nails. Kenny did my acrylics! They came out beautifully and lasted 4 weeks! Today I went in again and I had Jason. He was a little less gentle on my ingrown toe nails, but did a great job with both the pedicure and my fill ins and an ombré red and silver gel acrylics!

Candy was a delight to work with. I was extremely apprehensive with the microblading procedure, but she answered every question and put my mind at ease. On the day if the procedure, I had cold feet, but again, she was very comforting and the results were phenomenal. Thanks Candy, youre a true professional!

I used to frequent here however today I had the worst experience of my life. I was in pain the entire time. I had an older male and he filed my nails almost down to the bed I could see pink through my nails and I left with 5 or more cuts. I would not recommend this place to anyone I will be lucky to not get an infection.

I assume the original suite is being renovated. They have moved about 6 doors down to the right in a temporary suite. I just moved to the Norfolk area and am looking for a regular nail salon for routine maintenance. Ive been moving and unpacking for the last few days and decided to come in on a Sunday to unwind while being massaged with wine. I had no idea it was bring your kids to work day. There were 3 small children making tons of noise and playing around the salon on rolling chairs. I dont want to base my review on the unruly children, just the service I received. Its hard to do that when the environment isnt as comfortable as the service. I will try again at a later date when the salon is complete and maybe the kids will stay at home this time. Very disappointed but able to walk out with nice looking nails.

Worst experience EVER! My appointment was at 430. They didn’t start on my nails until 530. I asked for thin nails and coffin shape. I walked away with thick square shaped nails that aren’t evenly filed. I asked politely for some of the price to be discounted and was given the run around! Absolute worse. I literally am contemplating taking them off and going somewhere else tomorrow! This place has gone down the drain from when I used to go there years ago!

Have been a few time and always have a great manicure experience. Went on a very busy (Mother’s Day) afternoon an hour before close, when the salon closer to my home was too packed. I signed in and was seated right away and my nail tech was extremely efficient, quick, thorough, and I am VERY happy with how they turned out. My former nail salon seems to show rushed results when they are busy. Angel Nails gave me beautiful nails I love although it was very busy.

Terrible. I got a gel full set and 2 days later my nail polish is peeling off of my acrylics. They had me pay $75 for my set. The polish application is also bumpy and you can see it. Will never go back here.

Needed to look cleaned up from the hot mess I was after a very personal family tragedy and they made me feel like I could have been at a close friends home. If you want to have a TRUE QUALITY EXPERIENCE this is the place to go. Theyre not just professionals who do an Amazing Job but they go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed and comfortableSeriously dont try any where else without giving these beautiful people a chance for yourself!!!!!

This is the worst nail shop in Virginia Beach! I waited for an hour and a half to get my nails done mind you it wasn’t a busy night I ask if anyone is going to do my nails and after having me wait they said no come back. This is extremely unprofessional and I don’t recommend going here. Every worker there knew I came for a full set and instead of doing my nails they started to get their stuff and leave. This is the worst nail experience I ever had and it is extremely disappointing. WORST NAIL SHOP!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH!!

I’m in town for the week from Florida. Wanted to get my nails done and didn’t know where to go did a search and found angel nails glad I stopped. I decided to do something I have never had done before the French fade came out amazing. Should of gotten the name of the lady that did my nails she was great I’ll definitely come back.

My nails always last longer when they do my finger nails, good quality. But make sure you make appointment or you will wait for 30min to and hour and time is important.

I’ve been going here for a year now and I love my nails every tine. I’ve had my mails done my Eric, Candy, Cindy and Diamond and they do my nails wonderful every time. I recently went in and showed Diamond a picture of what I wanted and she delivered, better than the picture and exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend this place.

I’ve gone here for years, I love the tech service as well as the customer service. Everyone is friendly and positive. Definitely a relaxing and clean place. Found my nail tech and will definitely stick with her, all the techs are wonderful as well.

Made an appt days ago for 4 Manis and 4 pedis. Showed up and they wanted to put us on a 40 minute wait. Said that whoever scheduled me didnt take a deposit. Bad business. I even got my confirmation txt with the persons bane who was assigned to us. All good. We left and some other ship took us right away with no wait

Best nail shop that I have been to in VA Beach! I got a lavender pedicure done by Ping and she was the best and was very understanding of my pregnancy (helping getting in and out of seat). Staff goes above and beyond. My sister got a lavender pedicure as well from Ann and she says she really enjoyed it and will be coming back weekly! The owner is very personable as well and pays good attention to customers and makes sure they have what they need. Bonus fact: they sterilize every piece of equipment and the spa chairs which is super important when choosing a nail spa. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Virginia Beach.

First time coming to this location and will NEVER come back, NO customer service, lady rushed my nails, asked her to paint the whole nail gave me an attitude and still didnt do it, she rushed my toes, didnt even speak to me the WHOLE time. Took my daughter with me and gave me attitude like it was to much to paint her nails, then an hour after leaving her pain came off returned to get them fix they had an attitude again. Only person who was nice was the girl up front when you first walk in. Dont no recommend to anyone!!

0 stars for me!! There a long list of how they can improve! They are rude and lack customer service. They alter prices and services depending on how they feel about the customer. Ive been twice. The first time they refused to cut and shape my nails due to it being a color change. The last time they cut and shaped my nails. They are inconsistent.Terrible. I never been to such a rude nail shop in my life. When I asked how much it cost for rhinestones, the employ stated 15 dollars per finger. very expensive. then began to laugh!! If I inquire about a price dont respond by telling me its expensive. Im willing to pay for quality. Youre just not quality. Also, to buy a box of rhinestones is 7 to 10 dollars. She was trying to be funny. Lastly, the girl that did my design keep asking me is this everything? are we done? anything else for you? Dont rush me. I came to get pampered not to be rushed and disrespected. I wouldnt recommend to anyone. They are lucky I didnt go off in there. But instead I will hurt there reviews. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE. DONT GO!!

Honestly... the owner is so rude .. it takes the quality of the place down so much. He makes racist jokes and comments. No one corrects him. Every time I come to this nail salon... he says something. The nail salon isn’t nice either. The only reason I go here is because a nail tech there is really good but honestly ... You should go to another nail salon for better service. For the amount nails cost.. you deserve much better service . Also, the salon is very disorganized. You have to constantly wait... when meanwhile ... some of the nail techs .. do not have satisfactory skill. So yeah, I advise you to go somewhere else.

I went to get a soak off & one of the nail techs took a nail clipper and ripped my acrylic nails off, now my nail is lifting from my nail bed. I will not recommend

Ive tried several other salons out of convenience and each time have been reminded quickly why I wont go anywhere else anymore! This salon is clean and they do an amazing job! Cristina has done my nails and toes many times now and each time goes above and beyond to make sure they look perfect and last as long as possible! This salon will continue to earn my business!!

The wait was very short and we were walk-ins. They have a detailed menu of all the services they offer and the nail tech were extremely knowledgeable. There’s nothing that makes a manicure better than getting it done by someone that really really knows their craft and actually cares about the customer’s happiness. I won’t go anywhere else as long as I’m in Hampton Roads.

Cristina is wonderful! She has been doing my nails now for over a year and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I tell her what I want my nails to look like and she makes them look awesome! She’s nice and someone I enjoy talking to when I’m there.

Went for a refill and pedicure on Thursday 10/17/19 and I am posting this on Monday 10/21/2019. Customer service was a little unpleasant.. The nail tech doing my pedicure was not pleasant and seem as though she did not want to do my toes. I wanted to get my toenails cut down and she barely clip them and did not even file my nails after clipping them, they were so sharp. Sigh! Tbh, this time was the worst service I have ever received there.

My best friend brought me here and it is now one of favorite places to go for my pedicures. Its a friendly atmosphere, the nail techs are always interacting with customers, its not uncomfortable dead silence the whole time. Good place to check out.

The only good part of this place is the young lady that tends the front desk. I went out for a girls day which doesn’t happen often as a mom of two. My nails were beyond uneven, painted poorly, and my technician cut and burned my fingers. I still tipped him. Now mind you, I left and went back in the same day due to my nails burning, two of them broke, and the paint job was horrendous not even covering my nail. They told me to come back for a refund. When I returned, I let them know that I had two young children in the car with my husband and could not stay and just wanted a refund for the poorly done job. They gave me a refund seemingly with no problem until I went to leave. They held my card and said I needed to have them cut my nails off. I had an appointment later in the day to have them removed because of how damaged my nails were, the pain I was in, and two broke within 12 hours. I had three people including the owner literally screaming in my face as I tested up and repeated how much I hate confrontation but had informed them from the beginning I needed to leave. They finally let me leave after bringing me to tears. I will NEVER go back nor will I recommend this place to ANYONE. Customer service and hospitality is absolute trash. No one knows how to treat you like a human being here.

Great atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. The nail technicians were making jokes the entire time so the experience was enjoyable. My nails turned out much lighter and longer than I was aiming for, however they are still beautiful and I will definitely be making this my new nail place!

Came here today for the first time and I loved it!! I have visited many nail salons around the area but none of them are like this. I had a gel ombré manicure and a pedicure. I was very satisfied with how it came out! So pretty! I also appreciated Kenny checking on me to make sure I was satisfied with my nails. I definitely recommend this place and will come back!

Will say this is my second time here, the 1st time they were too busy for me to want to stay. I chose another day,Sunday I called ahead and was advised there was no wait. When I got there I was greeted with a smile. The polish selection doesnt seem to be plenty, but if you want gel nails this is the right place. The atmosphere was airy and pleasant, looks as if a recent remodel occurred. My services were a regular pedicure and full set powder nails with gemstones. Some how it all came to $98, not bad I guess. My nail tech was confident in her ability to recreate a pic of a full set I wanted emulated from IG.. she the nail tech surpassed all my wishes.

Christina, the BEST!! Followed her to Angels. Angels is in a great location, parking is great, atmosphere is professional, clean, and comfortable. Christina is exceptional, accommodating, professional and Mannys mom (lol). She does an amazing job on my nails, I am never disappointed. Since moving to this area five years ago I went from salon to salon trying to find someone that I liked and was repeatedly disappointed. I tried out Angel Nails a couple months ago because it was close to my new house and found Cristina. Hands down the best technician, service and overall experience Ive ever had! 💅🏼😍 Very blessed to have found her!

Absolutely fantastic! Shelly was attentive and very sweet, she was quick doing my full set and it turn out flawlessly. Im very glad that I took her advice and went for the gel polish, its perfect. I will definitely be going back.

Went in for a simple gel polish change on eight nails, letting her know before she started I wanted to keep the design & polish on each of my ring fingers. She filed my nails aggressively, causing repeated pain, proceeded to file the design on my ring finger (which I wanted to keep), the paint job was horrendous, AND each time I needed to place my hands under the UV light, she would forget to turn it on. I had to reach around with wet nails to press the 60sec timer. Every. Single. Time. Needeless to say, I absolutely do not recommend Angel Nails. Complete waste of money & time.

Kenny and his staff are the best ever! I drive 15 minutes just to go to this specific nail salon. They are always very up to date with polishes, whether it be chrome, matte, glow in the dark etc. Very clean place!

If I could give this place zero stars I would... I have given them a second chance and will not give them a third. They over charged me for a wedding nails, $100 for acrylic French tips with a design. And my last visit a little over a week ago, I have a sever infection on my big toe. I watched the lady take the utensil from the cart use it on me and put it right back on the cart(after she dug around the sides of my big toes with it) instead of putting it in the container of tools she was using in front of her. Maybe the health department should take a visit.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The service was great. The nail technician I had was very methodical and took her time with me. The owner took time to make sure I was comfortable and asked on multiple occasions if I needed anything. I will be going back. ( I got a mani/ pedi)

Truly excellent service at this Nail Spa. I went in for a fill and a cut down and as the clock ticked I realize I was going to be late for my Bible study. I let them know I only had about 15 minutes left before I would have to leave they kicked into high gear and not only finished my nails but finish them beautifully. I truly appreciate the smiles the conversation and the incredible service

Will not be coming back! They find a way to charge extra every time and do not price you by their advertised pamphlet. Pedicures here are fine which is why I’m giving two stars. When I ask for a break down of my total, I am ignored, given attitude, and BS reasons for the extra charge. If you choose to go here I recommend getting your services priced before let them begin.

I came here two weeks ago to get my nails done by Tommy and since then I have had 5 nails break in total. I don’t work with my hands and I’ve never had this issue with anywhere else I’ve been to. Won’t be wasting anymore money here again.

Today was first time coming in this shop and they were very rude to their customers. I will never go back again. They get made because you ask about their prices. This place a waste of time . They really need to work on there customer service skills or just close the shop for good.

I called this nail salon this morning to see if Christina was available to do a shellac polish change. A friend of mine recommended her to me. The owner answered and he stated that she wouldnt be available until this afternoon. I said that that was ok, and someone else could definitely do my nails. About 2 minutes later, I walked into the salon, since I called while I was on the way. I signed in and sat down to wait. I was never greeted, which says a lot about their customer service. While I was waiting, Christina asked the owner what the lady on the phone wanted. He informed her that I wasnt willing to wait for her and that I was going to have someone else do my nails. Christina responded by saying, well I guess Im not good enough, and what the hell did she expect calling like that. Unbeknownst to either the owner or Christina that I was sitting in the salon. Now I would almost understand this reaction if I had gotten nasty on the phone upon hearing that she could not do my nails, but I didnt. This was my first experience at this salon, and I wont be back. I did have an amazing experience this morning at Anthony Vince in Landstown. Its an old favorite of mine. The salon is beautiful and CLEAN...and the staff are always friendly and kind. Dont spend your money at Angel Nails until they get familiar with customer service.

I followed my amazing nail tech Erika here from another shop and let my tell you, Im very impressed by Angel Nails! The shop has been completely redone and is absolutely beautiful inside. My girl Erika goes out of her way to make sure her customers are happy and even volunteered to come in on her day off to do my nails since I have a crazy work schedule! Erika, Christina, and Shelly are my go to girls and they do great work and really care about their customers. Im very picky when it comes to my nails and Im always beyond satisfied when I leave this shop. Ive read some other reviews saying that the owner Kenny is rude and loud...loud, sometimes lol but rude never. I guess some people just dont get his type of humor. Hes always joking around with the girls in the shop and with the customers, most people seem to really like him. I personally think hes hilarious and think some folks just need to lighten up! I highly recommend Angel Nails to anyone looking to relax and pamper themselves!

The nails looked great when my daughter left after 3 hours my daughter was in agonizing pain. She told the technician while there it was hurting. She mad a few adjustments and said it was fine. Our night consisted of us getting an emergency appt at our normal place. They fixed it. This not the place for us. We paid alot to get them done and it wasnt worth those numbers. Lesson learned. Go to what u know.

Horrible horrible experience. I came in to get a full set they pair me with Jason and he proceeds to do my nails he cuts my nails way lower than I CLEARLY directed him to then I ask for the coffin style nail structure he makes them WAY TO THIN ! so I just ask to take them off and start over so he gets the guy who I guess is the manager, who then tells him thats fine you can take them off but completely IGNORES the fact that I said (start over) as if I just didnt want my nails done anymore so they take off my nails and direct another customer to MY SEAT ! My polishes etc is still sitting in the seat like how rude ! So I tell the guy (manager) hey I didnt say I didnt want my nails done I said I wanted them started over because he did them wrong hes constantly going back and fourth with me about how they cant make my nails look like the picture which I only showed the pictures of how he had did my nails a previous time I came to give an example of the length I wanted hes still NOT listening he was very argumentative with me even after I said I was going to put this on yelp ! I wouldnt advise anyone to go here they are rude and amateur in customer service! The nail tech (Jason) was rude as well and acted oblivious to what he had done Im not impressed at all !

There’s some great nail techs here but tommy is absolute trash. He got an attitude because I didn’t like the way he was doing the ombré, when I sat on the chair behind him waiting for another nail tech to fix my nails, he threw my sandwich bag at my back trying to throw it on my chair! I reallyyyyy stood calm and quiet because I didn’t wanna turn this place upside down. Make an appointment with candy or Cindy they’re so much better.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I came in with my wife. I signed up for my eyebrows she signed up for nails. 4 people signed up after us. They took all 4 of them and my wife and did not call me back for my eyebrows. I finally go up to the desk and say something and they took me back. After about an hour of waiting and watching people walk in after me and get taken for nails pedicures and eyebrows. Then my wife got her nails removed and a manicure which should have been $20 plus $8 for my eyebrows. They charged me $40. That doesnt add us. Plus 2 people were fighting over who was going to do my wifes najls. One of them just went and ate and the male took a good 10 minutes to come start my wifes nails. I will NEVER come here again. They have horrible customer service, charge prices however they want and not according to their price chart, and are not organized in any fashion.
