THIS IS A MASSIVE GYM! Equipment everywhere. So much space! What I really like, and what separates Iron Asylum from the typical gym is the awesome staff. Walk into the door and youre greeted with a warm smile and you go about your business. Super easy. Highly recommend Iron Asylum.

Idc if I lived 30 minutes away. Id drive past 20 gyms just because Iron Asylum is just that great.

Great facilities with an outstanding and very helpful staff. One of the top 3 gyms I have trained at in my 42 years of lifting. I highly recommend this gym to anyone living in or visiting the Chesapeake area of Virginia Beach!!!!!

Excellent gym with everything you need to accommodate, general fitness and health training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit athletes, and everything in between to include some boxing equipment, atlas stones, calibrated plates, and specialty bars and bands.

I loved my time here it was always clean and safe and motivating! I had to cancel my membership due to college and the email I got back was not only professional but very supportive of my next chapter.

This is my place, my salvation, my therapy. Lift like and animal or just workout 24/7. This place is big, staff is awesome, just follow the rules and your family. Love iron asylum.

Great gym, but the music is always way too loud!! This isn’t an exaggeration. I can hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. I’ve mentioned it to the staff, but nothing will likely change. Too bad. Besides that, this is the best gym to which I’ve been a member. Just turn the music down! Everyone has headphones anyway, so this overly loud music is at best, superfluous, and at worst, seriously distracting and annoying.

This is a big gym. Lots of machines. Benches racks etc...staff is ok. The gym music played had explicit lyrics in the music every time (x3) When leaving i asked if anyone every complained. They felt this was the norm. Okay. .wont be back

24 hour convenience is what I love about the place. Constant cleaning, organizing and sanitizing to a done by the staff. Great equipment and location.

My son is a powerlifter and the gym is like Paradise... We got a one day pass just visiting and crushed it. They did it right.

Truly a amazing gym! 99.9% of people are serious about their routine and healthNo one just lingering around taking up space. Never seen it super pack to where you can’t use equipment and everyone is nice and politeCouldn’t recommend more if you want to get your health jumó started

We traveled to Virginia Beach for vacation. We looked for a gym that wasn’t douchebags. These folks are good people. A beautifully set up gym for people who want to workout. Great if you are a power lifter.

I just moved here and been going to this gym for about a month now. Cool people all around. Good assortment of equipment. I only wish there was a decline bench for using freeweights or a decline machine. But all around very good gym.

Iron Asylum always attracts the biggest names to come do seminars. Something very special is happening within the walls at Iron Asylum.

Super rad, super motivating, clean facility and kind staff

My husband works out here, so I went with him when I was in town. The staff was super friendly, and the gym was open with a lot of space & equipment that I didnt even realize could be used as workout equipment. It seems to cater to all kinds of fitness levels as well as various workout types. Definitely wouldve become a member if I lived in VA.

Great Gym. Plenty of power racks, deadlift platforms, benches, and weights. One of the best equipped gyms Ive ever seen.

A lifters gym. Lots of room and equipment. Not a lot of cardio equipment.

Would NOT recommend signing up with them. Ive tried to cancel twice now, and both times they have said they did not receive my confirmation email and I never even got one. I called and they wont refund me either. Shady business practices once they have you locked in.

Horrible gym. Does not stop charging you after canceling. I get emails every single month with them trying to charge me, even after mentioning multiple time that I have canceled membership. They do not care.

Great place! You can do just about anything you can imagine here in the gym. There is something for everyone and if you are looking to try something different they have it. You can do your own thing or set up something with the training staff there. As a member 24 hour access is great for your schedule. Worth a visit to see if it’s what you like. You won’t be disappointed.

Are you looking for a gym that has more equipment than you know what to do with? Do you enjoy researching exactly what the h*** that weird contraption over there does, then adding it to your workout and wondering how you ever lived without it? Do you get a sense of pride when people mockingly say I pick things up and put them down in your general direction?This gym is for you.Some gyms bribe you with huge TVs positioned in front of the cardio area where at least 4 of the 5 TVs are permanently on a cooking style info-mercial. Some gyms bribe you with pizza every 2nd Tuesday. This gym is not like that.Theres a Crossfit area, a Powerlifting area, freeweight area, and a machine area; cardio equipment is scattered everywhere with a bunch of cardio in the crossfit area (at least for the one I go to). Theres open floor space for whatever you want to do. Theres a massage service adjacent to the gym with a connecting door for ease of service. There are a million pieces of equipment that I love getting to try out for when I eventually decide to build myself a home gym.To put things into perspective, Im in Law Enforcement and have access to the Training Academys gym 24/7 for free. I live closer to that gym than I do to Iron Asylum... and I still choose to have a membership at Iron Asylum.... and I am a frugal man, so that says a lot.

Ive been working out here for a couple weeks. The gym is simply fantastic. Staff is knowledgeable and the equipment is broad and useful without a bunch of fluff. I have worked out in gyms all over the country and this is definitely one of my favorites. If you are looking for a place to workout, body build, or train for strongman competition, this gym has what your looking for.

Best local powerlifting gym in 757! Great employees, a little pricey but you get quality equipment, 24 hours eith key card to access and you have 2 location options! I would recommend if youre looking to train to be in competition!

Love this gym!!! I am always motivated to work harder every time I go. The workers are all kind, the equipment is always neatly organized and clean, the music is always loud, and the workouts are always great. I work at a gym, but choose to workout here. The Best!!!

Beat gym in the area.

Excellent price, every piece of equipment you could imagine and friendly to all types of workouts. Only improvement could be more mirrors, especially maybe a full body in the bathrooms. Love the environment and everyone is helpful and supportive.

Excellent price and atmosphere. Can get slightly busy around 5pm, but I have never had an issue finding the equipment I need. Great staff, friendly clients. Massage therapist and chiropractor on site.

I’ve been going to the gym since I was 14. I’ve been to gyms all over the country including both coasts. This is by far the best facility, ownership team, atmosphere, and group of members I’ve ever been a part of. If you’re serious about fitness and need a gym as dedicated as you are, this is your gym, hands down.

Best gym around by far. I joined about a month or two after they opened. Great owners, staff, and group of members. I am moving away from the area and this gym is about the only thing I will really miss. If you want a gym where the goal is to get stronger and not just spend your time looking in the mirror and impressing those around you, this is the place for you.

Ive since moved away from Virginia back home to Florida. No other gym compares to the amazingness of the Iron Asylum. Service, cleanliness, equipment, parking, price, and overall badassness. I have searched for anything similar to Iron Asylum here around where I live and continue to be disappointed. Keep up the good work!

This is my main gym. It has what youd need regardless if youre a powerlifter, crossfitter, body builder, or general fitness enthusiast. The owner, Alvin, is a stand up guy and shows consistent care for the gym and members.

Great gym. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They have different equipment to fit everybodys needs. Definitely check them out.
