Tired equipment, Covid safety is important but they spend more time being mask police than worrying about the Real health risk. Members leaving greasy sweaty equipment constantly. Maybe time to retry One Life. Sad because we had enjoyed this gym I lost 100 lbs here. We have shared these concerns multiple times and will not be returning. They simply do not get it.

Great place to work out with equipment you would never buy for your home. I gave 2 stars due to them requiring you to submit your info via their app to be a member. I had a card, but its now useless. It constantly gives me ads and random info about them. I honestly want to go work out and go home.

Nice place. Very clean. Great staff, very knowledgeable. My go to gym. Havent had any issues. Has everything I need. Now if youre hard-core in weight training might not be the best place for all your needs; but you could still benefit from this place with all the equipment. Great price for all you get.

Good friendly staff. Very helpfulClean environment. Only problem is the towels and hand sanitizing stations often are empty, multiple ones. When they should be out checking them more often than they are. It happens here and there on some days but NOT every single day which is good. They just need to keep up on that a bit more other than that everythings great. Lockeroom and bathroom stalls are exceptionally clean as well!

Up until today this was my favorite PF location. Not sure if it’s standard procedure to leave the front desk unattended for over 30 mins... After working all day & working out, I just want to tan & go home but as I type this I am still standing here unattended & have even made a lap around the gym & no employee in sight. I favor this location due to it’s nicer tanning beds & convenient covid hours but this has certainly turned me off to this location.

Best gym I have ever been to.

Not a lot of people at 1230 a.m. 1 oclock., so that was nice. Only planet fitness open in the middle of the night...but they do close from 2 am to 4 am for cleaning. Tons of equipment, the staff was really nice & most everyone wore masks...only saw 1 people working out together..2 guys without masks...but machines are taped off so that only every other machine can be worked out on in order to maintain social distancing. Lots of cleaning stations so you can disinfect the machines, plus big spray bottles of hand disinfectant too. Overall it was worth the 20 minute drive one direction. Hard to get motivated 2 go... But I have never said I wish I had not gone to the gym...its the getting there thats the hardest part. Afterwards you feel less stress, a sense of accomplishment & confidence knowing that despite the pandemic you can still safely exercise.

This is a great location. Always greeted at the door by the friendly staff. Joe is cool and very knowledgeable, has always been ready to help with any issues or inquiries. Some of the older/classic equipment works better than the new at my main gym. I always enjoy working out here 👍

I like this location. However they do not have the same equipment as other locations 🤔Massage chairs and beds only allow 5 minutesat a time. Its unfortunate I have to make 3 trips to front desk just to get another 5 mins. There has to be a better way. Hopefully you will give immediate attention to this matter.

Best place to work out in the whole wide world!! Tons of equipment, great TV channel selections on at all times, super cheap monthly rate, and a whole bunch of extras for the black card membership... Tanning, massage chairs & hydro massage tables, red light therapy beds, & a free guest anytime to workout with you!! 5 stars for sure! 💪👍

The customer service is horrible. They are taking personal calls on the phone, they don’t know how to operate the systems, and they can’t answer simple questions about the club. I tried to have my husband sign up and the workers told him to do it online while they stood there talking about not having “monies to buy junk food.”Very unprofessional. Do not recommend this club.

So, here we go. This is NOT a 24 hour gym. Like other gyms in VB, this planet fitness is open 22 hours a day with a 2 hour cleaning window between 2am and 4am. If you happen to be like me, and research the gym, think its a perfect fit, get there after work at 0130, get half way through your workout, then all of a sudden the lights turn off and you are told to leave, you may find yourself bitterly disappointed that you bought the black card pass, and are now unable to use the facilities and hours you thought you paid for. Dont get me wrong, this place looks awesome, and the equipment is all well and good, but if you work the night shift and want a place to work out after work, this is not the place for you.Now I will have the sincerely disappointing displeasure of attempting to navigate the unenrollment process from planet fitness, and trying to find a new gym that is available for night workers.

Love PF, its clean and during this time thats what we need .the people that work here are very pleasant!!! Thank you for staying open so far ❤

Fast service. I called to freeze my membership and they responded quick. The other gyms are much complicated when it comes to dealing about cancelling/ freezing your account, but Planet Fitness has an excellent service. The people that work there are friendly compare to the other gyms that i used to go to. The place is clean and bright. Love the environment there.

Let me say my experience at Planet Fitness on Holland Rd 9/2/2020 between 9:30pm - 11:11pm was the worst. I walk in the door and the female and male behind the counter were in their conversation, never once acknowledged me. Then the paper towels were either very low or out completely. Then as Im leaving about 7 employees were in a conversation never once said have a good evening nothing. One appeared to be a manager, Im assuming cause she was barking orders. I come to planet fitness and brag about how the staff greets you and are very friendly and make you feel like family. Not this crew, the worst ever. Ill keep going during the daytime.Clarke

Friendly staff and a wide selection of gym equipment to use. A great gym to go to and the best part is that its not too expensive for a membership. I have the black membership and it comes with great perks.

Every day no matter what time I go to do the 30 minute circuit there are people just sitting on the machines half the time just playing on their phones and clearly not following the stated rules. Any time I mention it to the staff they do nothing. A man was sitting on a machine in the circuit room loudly talking on his phone while two different staff members gave tours to other people and at least three other staff members walked by and saw this happening after we said something to the guy at the front desk. Nothing was done about it. I dont think its asking too much to have staff enforce clearly stated rules.

As I am extremely positive individual I had to write a review to advise the public about this location. I went there to signup and had a horrible experience. I Would not recommend this facility at all. The customer service is not professional and Management is worse. Please do not waste your money or positive energy to go here. I really hope they step up there professionalism. I would rate this place with no stars. -10.

This gym is awesome! People who work here are really friendly and professional! Have been here for a few weeks, and cant think of anything bad! I have there black card and its awesome to work out then get a good massage afterward! They also have tanning beds too. Place seems to stay clean too. Love it here!

I am new, I switched from a private center to here because of the hours mostly, and the cost. So far I love it. Its clean and that fan is amazing while on the cardio machines. The air is heaven sent, I hate being HOT while working out. The machines available are great, and the staff is super nice. I do wish on my first visit someone had asked if I wanted a tour, but everything else has gone so well its okay. Im sure if I had asked they would have given me one. So far I am very happy with my switch!

When you work out you want to listen to your own music, correct? If I would have known I wouldn’t be able to do that I wouldn’t have bought a black card membership. I’m sure you all make enough money to afford the best internet. I don’t get it

Changed gyms due to the unfriendly staff especially the new trainer and her made up rules. Wish the old trainer stayed. Now I have to drive 20 minutes to Norfolk to go to a gym where the trainer is attentive, knowledgeable and has been there for years.

Amazing environment and always ready to help and it super clean and have cleaning stations which are always full and ready to clean after you use it!!

This location is not open 24/7. Its located in a strip mall, behind DQ. They have most of the same equipment Im used to using, but no torso rotation machines. The employees are nice, for the most part. They dont seem to know how to address black card users from out of town, every time I came I was treated differently, one time I stood at the counter for 20 minutes. Ugh. This location has some very lazy employees who would rather play with their phones in the locker room then to do their jobs...ladies. This location is also very dirty. Dust is EVERYWHERE.

On 6/24/2020. I go to this planet fitness 6 days a week. My normal hours are between 8:30-10pm. Since Covid19 the gun’s closing hours are 10pm. I finished my workout at 9:55pm, walked to the counter and asked who I now know to be Christian if I was “able to sit in the chair”, he responded but saying “ma’am we close in 5 minutes” to which I replied “I’m aware, I’ve done this before, I was able to do it last night using a token”. He then said “ I’ll have to ask my manager” . He asked Joe, the shift manager if it was okay, Joe checked the time and said “yes, use give her a token “. Christan could not find them, so Joe told him to just “set me up”. I told Christan we would be running 2 minutes behind now due to the time it took to get a yes. I went to chair 9, and 3.15 minutes into my massage, at exactly 9:57pm a very abrupt entrance from a girl (who’s name at the time I did not know) named Zaria came in and stated to me “Excyse ma’am, I’m going to have to kick you out, of your here after 10 we will get in trouble”. I looked at her shocked and stated “In was given permission by the manager out front”. She then tried to tell me again “well, I’m sorry but you need to leave”. At that point I told her “I can’t move because the machine has a grip on my legs” she then proceeds to roll her eyes and head out of the room. I asked for her name, but she did not give it to me. At 1.13 minutes left of my massage and appx 10:01 I was able to get up, I went to clean the chair and headed to the front. I saw Joe, Christian & Zaria up front. I walked towards the front and confirmed by asking “Did you give me permission to sit in the massage chair” speaking to Joe. He confirmed that he indeed did give me permission. I looked towards her as if to confirm I was not lying. I said “Thank you” and turned to go out of the door when she said “Mmmhm have a good night” with a very rude attitude. I then turned back around and asked for her first name in which she turned and hid her badge from me. She told me “Nope” and proceeded to tell me “HAVE A GOOD NIGHT” as if she hadn’t just made my experience at MY home gym a terrible one. I then started to record her actions and armed for her name once again, she did not comply. Once Christan realized I was recording he made a point to lie and said “you came up here cursing at us” I made the point to say that’s an absolute lie. I asked both Joe and Christan what her name was and got no response over 4 times. Christan said “your going to get banned from here”. I said “for what, all I need is her name” Then I asked what Joe’s name was & he showed me his badge and proceeded to say “we’re closed ma’am” it was 10:02. I asked for Christan’s name & he proceeded to say “I’m not even at work anymore” he did not identify himself. I then said I’d be making a complaint again all 3 of them and walked out. I called the next morning 6/25/20 and spoke to their manager Jewel. I explained what my experience was. The one thing that stuck out to me was that she told me “know if there is a guest who’s taking a little extra time, they may have to stay later”. It was obvious they all were ready to be in their cars at 10pm. I also asked Jewel if there was any policy on the time to sit in the massage chairs for example not after 9:55 or before closing and said told me there was not. She apologized on their behalf & She said she would have the district manager call me. I am waiting for this call now. I’m extremely disappointed in the service I was given yesterday. I can only hope the new location on Va Beach Blvd will be better staffed with mature young adults who actually communicate effectively with the members who go to their gym.**UPDATE**I was called by Jewel who said because her employees said I was cussing and from video her employees shouldnt have to deal with me. She stated my membership would be canceled. I HAVE VIDEO on my own phone. I will gladly send it to cooperate. I asked if there was audio or if she was just going to take their word for it and sure enough she’s going to believe her employees . Shame on planet F!!

Went in here to look for free shirts I ended up signing some “contracts” that allowed medical students to use my deceased body for science ... not sure how that’s related to this organization but I thought about the free shirts and purple looks good on me haha

This is such a good gym! The equipment is in excellent condition and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I’m sure it is busy during peak hours, so it would be nice to have a larger facility perhaps. I go in the middle of the night so it’s great for me haha! It would be nice to have a studio space though but it definitely has all of the essentials!

I love coming to this gym when ever Im in town. However I work on cruise ships and am only home for a month at a time. Ive become a member and canceled twice before because I go out to sea for months at a time. Is there a way to just suspend a membership so I could resume it when Im back in town? I’ve started coming here frequently at night and the staff is amazing, really helpful, and friendly. The only reason I’m rating it one star is because there is a lack of management at this location. I feel as if the staff has to be here for long periods of time so should the managers. I’ve been told that in order to see or speak to a manager I have to come or call during the morning but I can’t since I’m working but when I do have the time to call during the mornings the managers are either ALWAYS busy or not there at the moment and the staff has to write down my name or number or what I was calling for and I never hear back, so are the managers actually busy or do they just not care about their customers?, The staff is doing a great job and has amazing customer service but I expect the same thing from the management at this location. Either get new management or train your current management to do a better job and be more engaged when it comes to customers.

I love this gym. I have had nothing but, positive results from the staff. They are always friendly and welcoming and you cant beat the price. I am not sure what other bad reviews are speaking of with cancelling memberships but, my son went off to college and I had no problem cancelling the membership. They are very helpful and you cant beat the amount of equipment at this place. Its awesome!

Great location, however the employees are terrible. Since I can’t file a formal complaint to the managers, I’m complaining on here. Your employees constantly bum things from my subway store, the next unit over. The one time I say something to him about it, and tell him he needs to buy something, he gets an attitude with me. He comes back to the store after being turned away for a free cup of ranch, demanding my name. I give it to him, but my husband/coworker tells him he needs to leave the store and not return. Your employee refused to leave my store and threatened to fight my husband, raising his voice and telling my husband to swing on him. After being told repeatedly to leave the store, he whips out his phone and starts recording. For what, I have no idea. Maybe he thought it would be good for his YouTube or something. I finally got his name, Dom, and he finally left. I will hopefully be in contact with the franchisee and manager of this location regarding your employees’ behavior. I wouldn’t think you’d be too keen of me coming over and using your facilities or eating your candies for free, so I don’t appreciate your employees thinking they’re ENTITLED to courtesy cups, forks, and food products when they do not patronize this business.

I love coming here! Finally have gym where I dont feel judged or looked at different upon. Everyone is friendly the people who work out teach you a thing or two about using the equipment and you do meet and make alot of friends among the way. Everyone is here for a reason whether its for toning up, losing weight, or building muscle. Everyone is here to be motivated. I will eventually go to other plant fitnesss but for now Im sticking with this one. !!

My experience was great at planet fitness

As they say, no judgement. I go late at night, and love it. Been at other times too and everyones nice, pretty respectful other gym goers. Also, since I go late at night, I do get to see that they clean everything and under the machines as well. I appreciate that part.

As long as you dont mind following their unique gym rules, the place rocks. No gym franchise touches the value and bang-for-buck your $10 buys.

This facility is top notch. If you want to have a truly accepting place to work out, with tons of machinery so you never have to wait and a helpful staff to show you how to use some of it, this is the place for you! And their trainer Sharifee is amazing and will put you on track to a healthy lifestyle. I was able to lose over 20 lbs and be taken off high cholesterol medications in my 9 months here, and wouldnt leave if it werent for having to move to my next duty station. I genuinely wonder how upper management allows the type of attitude and lack of costumer service to continue at this location. After calling to enquire about unauthorized charges and being hung up on FOUR TIMES after asking for a supervisor I reached out to the corporate office. They didnt hang up on me or help resolve the situation. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

This fitness center in VB is the mere reason I quit the Black Card membership. From sun up to sundown and well after, its constantly very warm and humid in this place, thus allowing the survival and possible replication upon unsuspecting members.I originally obtained the Black Card so that when I visit friends in VB, I could come to this location which is around the corner from a friends place and keep up my workout regimen. But almost every time I went there, I ended up getting sick or at least feeling sick after working out due to the moist atmosphere. Its gross. I understand that the place is huge, but it seems to be a mecca for the masses to work out and blow off steam -- which actually doesnt seem to disperse very well. I wish I could say something nice about the location. The locker room is less humid than the gym, very roomy, plenty of stalls and showers. The fact that its cooler, temperature-wise in the locker seems backwards to me.So in the end, I just cant justify paying $20 a month when I fear for my health every time I visit the VB Planet Fitness when visiting in town. Even with the other location near Great Neck, this location is still over-packed and just straight gnarly. Bleh -_-

I just wish some people that workout here will not stay just set on equipment and play their cellphone, because other people want to used those equipments too. If you want to just play with your phone please leave or go somewhere and not set and stay on equipment for a longperiod of time.

Honestly, its more of a cardio center than a gym. There are never enough machines. Unless you go before 8am or after 11pm you will find yourself waiting to do your routines. There are no platforms for platform exercises. And the fact they offer candy, donuts, and pizza only speaks to the mentality of this gym. Yeah, for $20 a month I can lift with a buddy, but if we go we almost always have to wait. Seriously it is insane. There are 4 squat/bench racks. There needs to be at least 8-10. The weights need to top 120 pounds, not 75.

Cant beat the price, or the convenience. I have never waited for a treadmill even during peak hours. For $20/mo and no commitment, I can hit any location. One is convenient to home and the other is convenient to work. 24 hrs means I can never use the gym is closed as an excuse.

Love this Gym! Head there after work about 2 am every morning and get a good workout. There are very few people there during the early Morning. Probably what I love most.

So far, one of my best experiences at Planet Fitness! Today was my first time at the Windsor Oaks location and the staff were so friendly and helpful, introducing me to a new safety policy for the tanning beds and making sure I knew where everything was! The tanning rooms were so well ventilated I felt comfortable and enjoyed this visit immensely!

For Planet Fitness this gym is good, for gyms in general it just doesnt have enough for the traffic it gets. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is good but the machines and amount of machines/free weights/etc is real low.

The variety and quantity of equipment at this place is great. You cannot beat the value. Worth every cent. Im glad my wife and I found PF. Our health has improved dramatically.

This place is clean and updated but they forget to mention that certain skin types arent allowed to use the tanning bed/booth. The massage chairs are actually painful. 2/3 of the hydro massage beds were down when I went and it isnt actually worth the time. The full body enhancement was down. And its fine if you dont care about customer service.
