We had an addition added for my mother-in-law that required some modifications to the current house. It was an absolute pleasure working with all of the VB Homes team. Back and forth communication on the project was great and they really stuck to the timeline even with the usual unforeseen set backs that can arise. The quality of the work is outstanding and my family is very happy with the new space and changes that were made. I would highly recommend VB Homes for any big projects.

In October 2018, we moved into our new home designed and built by VB Homes. After six months of ownership, the home has met all our expectations for functionality, quality and workmanship.Being new to the home building process, we had many questions during the course of the building process. Each question that we raised was addressed and answered to our complete satisfaction by a member of the VB Homes team.We also were present at various stages of the homes construction and saw first hand the quality of the building materials and craftsmanship that was put into our home.Even after moving in, the VB Homes team has provided great customer service responding to any issue concerning the home.I did not give a 5-Star rating, only, because we still have 6 months remaining on the first year warranty that VB Homes provides.In conclusion, if you are looking for a new home in the Virginia Beach area, I would recommend considering a VB Homes Home..

We LOVED our entire VB Homes experience!! We had an addition added to our house that included a new roof line, 2 bathrooms, bedroom, rec room, laundry room, new closet in one of the older bedrooms and they had to re-do items in our garage for the addition that was above it. The quality of work that was done was top notch!! And to top it off, they had to deal with me while I was pregnant! I second guessed many decisions but they were there every time, reassuring us that it would all look great in the end and it does! At the time, my husband and I were both working full-time so we did not have the time to micro-manage this project nor work with several different companies or subs to get the job done. They handled it ALL! Drawings and plans, design and project management. They are an all encompassing company that will take care of it all. Our designer was great (Kelly). She took one look at my Pinterest and Houzz pages and knew exactly what my style was and the look I was going for. Our project manager (Steve) was AMAZING! He was on top of everything and always kept me well informed of the progress. If there were any issues with the work, Steve took care of it. Most days we were not home but he always ensured our house was cleaned up each night and the floors were swept since the workers had to go through our downstairs rooms a lot. He probably swept my kitchen and playroom floors more then me! We were still in the final stages of construction when we brought our newborn home. The day we brought him home they were sanding all the drywall-not the best environment to bring home a newborn but Steve ensured all the doorways were covered downstairs and stayed the entire time to ensure we were disturbed as little as possible. Just that attention to detail is what set this company apart from all others. As construction wrapped up, I was at home with our newborn and I would literally fall asleep on our sofa in our living room that the workers had to walk past to go in and out and they were so quiet that they never woke us up. They would even look over as they walked by to see if our son was awake or asleep just in case. You just dont find companies like that anymore that ensure all their workers and subs are that professional and respectful. About a week after we had our son, Chris Ettel the president, our designer, and a couple other people stopped by to give us flowers and tell us congratulations! Im from the midwest and this type of behavior is common where once you do business with a company, you are now apart of their family but to be honest- in this area, it can be lacking and you dont have that small town feeling. You are just another pay check with other business but with VB Homes, I never felt that way. I instantly knew they were the right company for us! I know I could call them up (which I have when I needed to know what shingles were used for the new roof they did since another part of our old roof needed to be re-done) and ask them questions and they would be there to help. Their professionalism and core values are what set them apart! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
