If I could give 6 stars, I would. If I had more than 2 thumbs, Id give more than 2 thumbs up. The folks at Express Auto Electric are honorable people and choose the path of doing the right thing, the right way. I was informed that the mechanic stayed past closing time to finish up and check the systems to ensure the fix was complete. I had constant communication with Bill from the time I left my truck to the call to say it was ready to go. They now have a customer for life and will get my recommendation anytime someone asks. Thank you all, job well done!
After initially having a very poor experience with the servicing of my 335i Bob the owner did even he could to make me a happy customer. Even with hiccups he maintained his professionalism and care for his business. Doc is one of master techs there and is very knowledgeable. Best advice is if you can speak with the tech who will be servicing your vehicle or Bob DIRECTLY to voice your concerns to ensure their are no miscommunications. Miscommunications cost me quite a bit. I had an electrical issue that caused other issues and Doc got me sorted. Reasonably priced if you know what you want done and there is no guesswork.
Went in to get my speed sensors checked on my SUV. Very thorough check for a fairly good price. Their customer service is on point. I was informed every step of the way about time and order of service.

Wonderful experience here last week for car inspection. Previous year I was bushwhacked at Bucky s down the road. Sarah and her crew took care of things quick and easy, no extras. Felt taken care of and at home and at ease the entire time. I got my truck back in a couple hours after a few minor tweaks. I totally recommend them. I am a woman, I liked that a woman was there to greet me and get to know me, and take care of all my business.
Refreshing to work with honest auto repair business. Brought in a trailer for inspection and brake replacement quote. I fully expected to have to replace the brakes as part of the inspection, and even told them that. I was very happy and surprised to receive a call from them that my brakes were fine and did not need replacing. They could have easily duped me into an unnecessary brake job. Great customer service, will definitely be using them for all car repair issues going forward.

So glad I took my car here today to be repaired. They were courteous, explained the issue, kept me regularly updated, and even apologized when the repair took a little longer than expected due to the extent of work needed. Plus, they are more affordable and had better service than a previous repair shop that was recommended that not only wouldve charged me way more, but take twice as long for the same repair.

Bob at Express Auto runs a stand-up operation. I went in for an inspection, and Bob was able to show me each step of the process, pointing out areas off concern. I legitimately saw the tire tread and brake wear as measured by the tool. Bob was able to get me a great deal on a couple new tires and install brake pads the same day. Highly recommended for professional, friendly, trustworthy, and quick auto service.

This place is awesome and they are honest!! They did an inspection on my wifes Mercedes and made the necessary repairs at more than half the cost than what Pep Boys were trying to charge. They also ran a test on the electrical components that were draining the battery which showed a low charge. We were scheduled to have the Mercedes dealership change out the instrument cluster the next day but after speaking with the owner at Express, he convinced us that the instrument cluster wasnt the problem, it was the low battery charge. Thanks Express for saving us $2000.00 from the Mercedes dealership and $700.00 from Pep Boys! We will be bring our vehicles here from now on!
Stopped in for a state inspection, was promptly attended to, expediently dealt with. A level of professionalism and courtesy not as common as one might assume.
Got my car inspected. Nothing was needed to repair to pass inspection, so they made up that I needed new wiper blades. Charged me $20.00 for blades I didnt need. Even worse, they replaced my perfectly working wiper blades with a pair that dont work at all. So, I had to spend more money else where to replace the non-functioning blades they put on my car. The dishonesty of all of this is disgusting.

Super! They were fast and gave me estimates on time and stayed true to the estimates and did a great job on my sons 2004 Prius!! and while we were there, the owner noticed that my sons auto key wasnt working. He took the key a part, and took a battery from his own key and put it in my sons to make it work again, all for no charge!! Will definitely use these guys again! Thank you!!

After going in for a state inspection that did not pass due to a problem that i had fixed a few years back that seems to have only been a patch up job, anywho i was greated like i was appreciated by Sarah at the desk and Bob the owner is always very pleasant to deal with inside or outside his business, they took great care of me and my vehicle and i will definitely bring my vehicles in for any work! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They saved me the expense of spending extra money for an electronic module for my 2006 Volvo XC90 that the Volvo dealership technicians failed to identify when doing their test diagnostic procedure. The module was filled with water from a flood storm and they told me that there was no evidence of flood damage due to electronic failure. Express Auto Electric actually trouble shot the whole box module...something that the Volvo dealership said that they dont do at all.Thank you EAE for your professional service... I would recommend this shop to anyone most definitely...🖒
I was very satisfied and impressed with Express Auto Electric. I took my KIA Sorento to the KIA Dealer to repair my AC for repair. After 6 months KIA still could not fix my AC. However, KIA did manage to charge me for repairs that did not fix my problem. I took my vehicle to Express Auto Electric and in less than 24 hours the vehicle was repaired for a fraction of the cost the KIA Dealer.

Very poor customer service ! So annoyed 😒 I went to get my car inspected and they said I needed a rear marker bulb replaced, the next day both my tail light/signal light aren’t working at alI. I came in and told the lady at the front desk and she immediately said that my bulb must have blown and it wasn’t the technicians fault. She didn’t even take it back to have somebody look at it and make sure, she just kept saying that the fuses were completely seperate from each other and that she couldn’t help that the bulb blew after I left. So, I took my car to pep boys and I was going to have to get all the lights on my left side replaced because they were burned out or so I thought 😒 turns out the guy from Express Auto Electric hadn’t connected the fuses correctly ! So if the rude lady at the counter would have at least taken the car back to be checked out I wouldn’t have had to gone to 2 different places.LONG STORY SHORT: go to pep boys.Side note: there was nothing wrong with my lights when I went to get the inspection and now I have a problem which would tell anybody that if they were the last people to service my vehicle they could have at least taken a look to see what the problem was.It was such an easy fix, I can’t believe how poor the customer service was.

I wouldnt even give them a star took my truck in there that ran good no problems with my transmission they said I had no oil pressure and metal in my oil filter so had to put a used engine in it when they did they switch my pump in my transmission because the flywheel on the new engine was bigger than the old one the mechanic did not measure and broke a clip in my transmission the transmission does not want to shift now on go over 25 miles per hour until warmed up and still does not want to shift properly never did this before they change the fluid in it and now the engine seems like it wants to blow up and starts cutting off all the time the mechanic that worked on it seems like he dont know what hes doing his other employees were talking about how bad the mechanic was and that he wasnt going to last and the owner doesnt want to cover his employees mistakes $3,000 and I have a truck that will not run had a truck when I brought in that ran really good and since they have touched it nothing but problems I just have a 3000 pound paper weight if I were you I would never take a vehicle the mechanic did even know how to set the timing on the engine after another employee told them 6 times what it was one day I had to have a uber driver to get the truck one day she said they had put her brakes on backwards before please stay away. As the owner is trying to cover himself for damaging my transmission of which they did charge me for the pump nothing was whats wrong with the transmission till they touched it hope no one else has to go through this with them it is bad when you have to get the Better Business Bureau and 10 on your side to try to help you with a vehicle after other people screw it up

On one hand, I try to resist posting a 1-star review for a business that I have relied on for many years. On the other hand, I believe in accountability and this forum promotes that. An attempt was made to express my concerns privately and more directly, however, as you will see, someone may have impeded that effort.I brought my car in recently for a state inspection. Sarah, a relatively new face at Express Auto, was staffing the service counter. Sarah has followed a succession of only two counter service reps that I am aware of and my family has been coming here for well over a decade where we have trusted Express with all state inspections and most other car care needs.I entered the shop where I took a seat and waited for Sarah to finish her phone call with mom. Once the phone conversation was over and my presence was acknowledged, my car was taken within minutes. I never failed a state inspection before for cloudy headlights but life is full of new experiences and this was going to one of them. Granted there was significant oxidation in both lenses, there was no appreciable difference from the previous two years when I had passed inspection with flying colors. For what I was quoted for a cleaning I learned later I could have paid for a restoration by a reputable automotive detailer (something I was planning to do) or otherwise half way paid for complete headlight replacement. Weve all been there--inspection is due and youre in a pinch.The sticker shock for a headlight cleaning is not mitigated when the complimentary bonus thrown in is a generous layer of white buffing compound smeared across the entire front quarter of your car----bumper and hood----and nicely caked on and around your still-cloudy and oxidized headlight lenses. No, you dont understand. The car was OUT of the bay. Waiting for PICK UP! I guess the concept is, when failing a car for a state inspection due to cloudy headlight lenses and quoting a price that suggests youre going to make a true difference, if you FAIL to make that discernible difference leave lots of evidence that you TRIED.Messy as it was, it wasn’t discovered until the next day. Shame on me, I know! However, when youve brought your car in for a simple inspection and have been returning to the same service provider for over a decade youre less likely to inspect. Whats there to inspect? You emerge from the shop, looking over your invoice and receipt, jump in and take off. Vroom! I returned to the shop the next morning to find Sarah enjoying a cigarette break. I truly disliked being the one to disturb her time-out; particularly as I had been the one to distract her from her phone call with mom the previous day. Surely, I was NOT destined to be one of her favorite people, and, adept at terse replies and hard stares, this one was clearly not going to delude me otherwise. Upon showing Sarah the headlights lenses and trying to get a grasp on exactly WHAT was done for them, this individual elected to dig in her heals and insist that they, in her words, did the best we good. She sounded very confident while insisting that the cleaning I was charged for resulted in a reduction in the cloudiness and oxidation of the lenses. I was almost convinced--and I benefit from 20/20 vision! More incredibly, she denied that the shop was responsible for the compound left on the car! We wouldnt have done that, were her exact words.Is Bob (the owner of ¬Express Auto) in? I asked.No, was the curt reply.What time will he be in tomorrow?Eight oclock.Hitting upon a better idea and seeing a wait-and-see opportunity:Please ask him to call me tomorrow. Heres my number....I am confident the owner would have called had the message been relayed.I was encouraged that my experience a couple of months ago was definitely an exception based on the vast number of overwhelmingly positive reviews. That is, until today when I see that my post was preceded by 4 hours with another stellar commendation for my good friend Sarah.
My car recently died and I had it towed to Expres Auto. They were able to iagnose the issue and repair the same day. I have had my car serviced here for quite some time and all of my experiences have been positive. The attention to detail and professionalism is unmatched. I highly recommend their services

Bob Barbato is a very shady business man, he abuses his people, and takes advantage of those who are less fortunate than he is. For a man who lives in a million dollar home you would think he is broke, after speaking to him. He fires employees so quickly his staff turns over ever few months. You will never have the same guy working on your car if you visit more than twice. Bobs goal is to maximize every dollar, and be the good guy while doing so. Be careful when dealing with this ship. The service manager, is the worst he likes to diagnose cars over the phone before they are looked at and quote prices, and then leave the problem to be fixed based on his price he has already given. This is the worst shop I have ever worked for, I would not send my mother or sister there, and would suggest anyone who visits be careful. His prices are way over what they should be, because of his supplier being NAPA auto parts, they are the most expensive in the area, and their parts are not that great. He does not invest into new equipment and leaves his techs to perform very dangerous repairs, with broken or improper shop equipment, all of this leaves your vehicle in a situation that could lead to damage. The service manager blames there techs for everything so dont expect a apology if something goes wrong. His parking lot is dangerous multiple cars get broken into all the time. So I would make sure that he locks your vehicle in the garage cause if he does not it will be vandalized. Overall if you see Dave or Bob talking there lying.

Im very disappointed about the service we received. Let me share both great and horrible service we received. We brought our van for inspection last year. It failed inspection due to ball joints needing to be replaced. What the heck is a ball joint? Well we found out quickly. We were given a cost that was too expensive for us so we took our vehicle to a family friend. Saved us $250 but wasnt done properly. We enter back for inspection. Failed again. We planned to travel within the week for a family funeral so it was a requirement to be completed. The mechanic showed us what was wrong and warned us how if we drove we could crash terribly. He suggested we buy the piece needed and repaired another mechanics error for about $100. It was a painful cost but required. After that experience we swore to only go to a shop and we thought we found it since they seemed so honest.A year later (September 2017) we took our car for inspection again. We failed due to brakes only. The previous breaks done were by a family friend and we paid $100. Due to our unfortunate problem before, we choose just to tllet the shop do the breaks. We brought the can in it did not squeak nor did we notice any issues with pushing the breaks. However, they said they were bad so we trusted them. They charged us around $300 for replacing our breaks. Painful for a family of five but necessary to pass inspection so we scheduled and got it done. My husband was told he was paying for the best brakes. He specifically asked about the a lifetime of breaks and was told if you purchase the a better breaks they last longer. Great! We normally go cheap so this should last right? Passed inspection. A few days later we notice squeaking. Waited a few days and brought the van in. The mechanic said its normal for NEWER breaks to squeak for a short period due to air but should pass after driving for some time.After googling that some breaks do squeak but should stop after a few hundred miles we brought the car back yesterday. A month and a 700 mile trip later. We were told to bring it back in the morning and speak with the owner. This morning we called first. The lady who told us to bring the car back today informed us that the owner said we knew the break type we got and it would squeak. Im sorry who agrees to spend $300 on squeaking breaks??? No maam we did not when can we meet the owner? So were asked to come in at 11. My husband rescheduled his orientation to come back. He got there a little after 11 but showed up. He is not greeted by any words other than asking for the keys so they I can check the car. They check the car, put some glaze on it and say they dont hear any more squeaking. They tell my husband they are not replacing the breaks because again he knew that we were paying for the cheapest breaks and that they would squeak. My husband drives the car away thinking well the squeak is gone...light at witchduck and we are still squeaking.The owner never said one word to my husband today. And let me tell you for a fact my husband called me several times when the breaks were being out on. I specifically asked him to ask the mechanic are we getting better quality breaks for the price they were charging and the mechanic told my husband yes. Today he was told we paid for cheap breaks. We are a family of five! We couldve paid someone $100 bucks to place cheap breaks and they not squeak. In over 20 years we have never had breaks squeak until we brought them to this shop. We are disappointed that we thought we found a trustworthy shop to bring our van to gave us false information about the quality of the breaks we were receiving. But most disappointed that the owner himself sat there and didnt even come over to talk. A simple Im sorry about the mix up but this is what we can do. No we didnt have to get brand new breaks put back on thats a loss to his shop. But even say hey we can keep them glazed and when you need the replaced again we can take of a % for the inconvenience. We will be taking our van elsewhere going forward and suggest you do the same.
This place charged me over $1,400 to fix my car and everything they were supposed to have fixed was broken within 30 days. This place is a money pit, do not let them work on your car.

I took my car in, first i was greeted with a attitude like I was imposing on them. I thought they fixed the problem but it was only temporary, when the problem happened again they wanted to charge me more for a problem they never fixed. The manager called to talk to me, but ended up hanging up on me in mid sentence. Females do not go here without a white male, any sign that you arent just going to take their mess and have a head on your shoulders, they loud talk you and throw tantrums.
I was in and out. So much gratitude to these guys.

I would give negative stars if I could, this place is a rip off. They quoted me almost double for brakes and rotors, after I told them my husband was deployed! I was looking for another shop and they lied to me saying they were the shop I was looking for. Stay away! Don’t trust these people!

I got a coupon from our Acura dealer for new timing belt on my mdx. Seemed like a good deal. Called Express, cause they were close, just for a second quote... it was 30% less than the deal. They, had me bring in the car the next day, called me and said that I should replace the water pump now since they had the car all apart... I only had to pay for the water pump and it was cheap. They inspected the car (no charge) found I had not ever changed the transmission fluid (SUV with 140,000) and changed that also. The car was done ontime and although I had alot more than what Acura quoted me it was almost the same price. The owner and manager worked with me, drove the car and gave it a thumbs up. It runs great. The shop is organized and clean (when do see that?). So, call these auto repair guys before you go the dealer glad I did.
