Inefficient. Never answers the phone. I got rear ended and the driver of the vehicle that hit me had this insurance and they have been a huge pain for the last month. Getting a rental car was a pain because they didn’t approve the appropriate class of vehicle. Then they made me return the rental before my vehicle was out of the shop. I was told by Kirstin that they would extend my rental and that she would call me the following day (Friday) to assure me I could keep the rental and not only did she not file the appropriate paperwork she did not answer her phone when I called HER multiple times... so I had to turn it in and I’m without a car for a week. Please people, pay a few bucks more and get better insurance.
Worst experience with a claim in the 32 years that I’ve been driving. Rocks from a dump truck and hit the front of my car and cracked the windshield and pierced the radiator. Called in to file a claim and the adjuster came back and said they total loss my vehicle. I have a 2002 tacoma which is still worth over 4600.00. The adjuster claimed I needed a new engine. They towed my truck to a junk yard where it sat and the battery went completely dead. After they denied my claim I told them to tow my truck to my residence. I received my truck with a dead battery with the driver window down and it was rained in. The license plates are missing and still trying to get them now. I would not recommend this insurance. I see why the premium is so cheap compared to others. You get what you pay for!!!!
They never answer the phone or return calls, theyre the worst insurance company in the 757 area
I was hit by one of their drivers and 3 weeks later i still have nobody looking at my car or paying for damages. i have left multiple messages and emails and still no response. they kept saying we will get back we are still investigating and they will call me back.... still nothing.
They have good insurance rates.
Price keeps going up with no accidents and no tickets went from 93 one year to 140 the next. I got 5 good points. This is a rip off and poor customer service. Foriegn people are okay but not to speak to someone and cant understand. I hate this company now.
Terrible customer service and experience. They entered our property without our consent for an inspection and then sent the inspection report to the wrong address. Talking on the phone with them about sending the report to the correct address was horrible.
This company will take you for everything you have. I went from paying $168/month with Progressive then my daughter got in 3 too many wrecks. Progressive had to let me go and these people charged me $555/month then went up 2 months later to 777/month saying my adult daughter lives with me and she doesn’t. She was supposed to be a listed driver only but clearly they will take you at this company cause I’m now with Geico under same circumstances for $280/month. Does use this company unless you have no choice but pull out when you can
I had the worst experience with this company and its agents. Ive never filled a claim in my life and im over 40 years of age, and this company made my first experience horrible, they gave me the run around and ended up not paying out on my claim due to convenient loop holes I am now looking for a new insurance company. This company is horrible.
I’ve been charged monthly for a SR-22 even after the company reported to DMV the policy was canceled which forced DMV to suspend my license…Why would you continue to take my money if you canceled my policy???
Place is horrible was hit by one of there drives, still no Compensation for damages done!
January 2020 Horrible experience with Claims. Had to pay out of the pocket. Customer service non supportive. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I called 3 times around 530-550 because Im picking up a car to drive Saturday and needed to start insurance to drive it back immediately. Monday was not an option, its an emergency situation. And each time I was hung up on until 6 pm where the phone said closed. Now I have to drive it illegally because office hours are not open. I do not recommend national general at all. There has been a few other complaints but this was the final one. And I will most likely be cancelling my insurance monday a.m.. I never do these but that was extremely frustrating being hung up on until closing time.
Just like others I had a horrible experience with this company. My car was hit by someone with NG and they REFUSED to pay for all of the damages to my car. I have been waiting 2 months and I can’t get a call back from anyone. They didn’t even send a person to look at my car.
Cut rate insurance. But they took care of my claim.
