The Mezzo is an amazing place to live. Never living an apartment before I was not sure what to expect. The property is EXTREAMLY clean and well taken care of. I was drawn to the Mezzo because the property is new and the for the amenities. I have lived here almost two year and I can not say enough about my time here. It is a great place to live. Shortly after moving in a had a small issue with a neighbor living above me. The issue was regarding noise and not being very neighborly. I contacted the office regarding the issue and David S. IMMEDIATELY took care of the issue. During COVID as so many others, I ran into some financial issues and fell short of being able to take care of my obligations. I reached out to the property manager and they could not have been more understanding. The manager helped my TREMENDOUSLY and we were able to come up with a solution to get me back where I needed to be. Seana the property manager is an amazing person and I have nothing but gratitude for her. All in all The Mezzo is an amazing place to live and anyone possibly looking for a place to live, look no further..you have found the best of the best in Virginia Beach. I look forward to living here a long time. THANK YOU MEZZO!

Almost a year living at Mezzo and we love it!High ceiling apartment with a pond view, love having my coffee in the morning enjoying my patio! Apt complex is quite, i just LOVE it, only nature around you, far from busy streets and car noises and pollution.People complain about noise - i never had any (ANY) issues with that, only when they have parties, but who doesnt? You will be one of them neighbors too, but honestly i dont even hear our washer/dryer if you close the door, and gotta tell you they are pretty loud! lolLove the mail lockers and parcel system! Super convenient and secure! Oversize item - you will get a message and item will be delivered to your door. Gorgeous pool - sad we cant enjoy it yet due to Covid, but hopefully we will get there this summer!Staff is amazing, Bayley is super friendly and helpful! Before Covid the Office organized many different parties at the club house with food and drinks, and prizes! They do care about you!Free car wash and vacuum. Super convenient!Dog park and kids playground, I would be more happy if dog owners would pick up after themselves more often, but Office works on it, but i believe anywhere you go there will be that one person who doesnt pick up or have their dog off the leash, even if you send them hundreds of notifications.The only main thing im having hard time with is there is no recycling.WE Love living at Mezzo!

I enjoy living at the mezzo! My only complaint is the gate always is broken and left open, which makes me uneasy. Being gated and secure was the biggest thing to draw us to the mezzo and be alright paying the price we do to live here, so with the gate never being secured, it’s offsetting and makes us feel we are not getting what we pay for (obviously with COVID, is probably hard to get someone out here to fix it constantly). Other than that, the staff is so so friendly and does the cutest activities. Plus, HAVE YOU SEEN THE POOL AND GRILL AREAS!? 😍😍Edit- They fixed the gate, so now I have no complaints 😂

Mezzo Apartments are the best in Virginia Beach! The Management and leasing staff are very professional, courteous, and after (2) years, I do not have one complaint. My Wife and I recently got married and were moving from 2 different places and the Mezzo staff has been very accommodating and understanding. They helped us every bit of the way via emails and telecon, and even gave us a walkthrough of the actual apt we were provided via video recording. The Staff makes every effort to engage their community via scheduling food trucks, Yoga events, you name it. The rooms are generously priced, and the complex itself provides various amenities: Common room with free coffee, Indoor self car wash station, Pool, Dog park areas, Modern Grilling stations spread throughout the complex, well rounded Gym, and secure package/mail system. Needless to say weve been very happy with our experience here, just wish some people would pick up after their pets..They even provide dog poop bags....I mean cmon.

I LOVE Mezzo.I’ll start with the tremendous staff. Every interaction I’ve had in over a year has been friendly. From resident events to any questions I’ve had, I’ve always been greeted with a smile. Even now, during a time that no one knows how to react to the changes required during this pandemic, the staff has answered every question I have, and I have every belief that they care about my health and safety.Location is extremely convenient. Right off of Va Beach Blvd, minutes from town center and several shopping centers and grocery stores; AND a short trip to the beach. When I moved to Virginia Beach, my previous complex promised these things, but Mezzo actually provides it. Couldn’t ask for a better location.

I love Mezzo, even though the ceiling and floor is not really good at sound insulation effect. But this is a very good environment, it has swimming pool, car wash center, dog park. Leasing office staff are nice.

My wife and and I were looking forA nice place to move to and we found Mezzo and had a viewing..This apartment complexIs beautiful But we were denied and want returned our despoit but they say it is non refundable... We are very dissatisfied with Mezzo because we werent notified of the non refundable despoit in person by website nor pamphlets but the other nonrefundable items are listed. This is an Unacceptable Practice and i feel robbed of my funds during this hardship we are facing. We dont have money to give away. Sad day for us

Call in to complain next building playing loudly music. This year is getting worst. Even the staff and the neighborhood.

We’ve lived here since August and absolutely love it. Moving in was super easy and they even let me get my keys a day early so I wouldn’t have to drive from my old place and back since I was moving in the next morning. Everything about the community is beautiful and well maintained. They even have Maintenence/housecleaning cleaning our outdoor grills on a frequent basis. I thought street noise might be an issue since it is right on the boulevard, but the most we hear is the occasional siren. Everyone in the office is friendly and they make a point to get to know your name and address. The pool is incredible and our events are awesome. We’ve taken advantage of every resident event so far and they’re always fun, with plenty of food and goodies. I can’t believe people are saying the walls are thin because I honestly can’t even tell if people are living next to us because it’s so quiet. The granite, chrome, and appliances are high end and so worth it for the price. I can’t recommend the Mezzo enough. We are so excited about the gate being finished and locked soon! We love it here!

Love living here. Mezzo is probably the only place that isn’t afraid to close the amenities for the public health sake. Even against popular opinion.

Yo. Not gonna lie... I’m glad mezzo has the guts to close some of the amenities to prevent us from potentially catching Covid. I love that Mezzo values the responsibility of health conservation over “reckless fun”.

My experience here has been mostly positive. Generally its pretty quiet here and not much ambient noise even though Mezzo is next to a major road.Pros:- location. Many shops in the area- small gated community with decent amenities (if you get to use them)- garage available if you need one ($150/mo)- bay for fresh water car wash/spray (sorry, no soap)- small dog park for people with dogs- parcel lockers- online rent payment- bike rack at each building- washer and dryer included- spacious parking spacesCons:- The new front office staff has gone downhill ever since Baylee left- you HAVE to make a U-turn coming west from Virginia Beach Blvd; theres no other way to access Mezzo.- gym doesnt have barbell; only dumbbells- no recycling- a small monthly extermination/pest control fee, even though you probably wont ever use it- cant replace your own A/C filter- random people have access into your apartment to change A/C filters, and they were only here one time the entire year- POOR sound insulation. Vibration transmits throughout the whole building. Hope your upstairs neighbor dont have dogs/kids because your entire apartment will literally shake- POOR sound insulation. You can hear people walking upstairs and know exactly what spot and which room they are in. You can hear people talking outside

The apartment complex itself is very nice. Clean, updated, and the amenities are well taken care, which add to the quality of living here.The service and staff is amazing. Always friendly, always helpful. Whenever I’ve come with questions they’ve quickly assisted me.The employee who took me on my tour was very knowledgeable and very professional.Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an apartment in VA Beach.

Update: the amenities have been opened. The corporate policies are not great though. They need to also check who they let rent here. There have been some questionable activity and incidents. The leasing office is held by corporate red tape that they cant really do much about.They are trying to close off pool amenities for the year when everyone else has opened them up. Typical corporate policy to preserve their investment.. The residents pay for those amenities and they are denied their use.. SL nusbaum should be giving money back and not charging $167 late fees as they currently do during a pandemic.. I will be writing local officials.

My friends in the area have been trying to find housing to live off post from their military base. Mezzo was able to not only take care of them, but gave them the best customer service in the entire area. It made the transition so easy without any problems or issues. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a place to call home look here first. Thanks again Mezzo!!

This will be 100% honest review about my 6 months in my 2nd floor, 2 bedroom apartment.1. Move in was flawless and Bailey walked me through the whole thing and even set me and my room mate up to split our rent evenly and gave us details about how it will play out.2. The apartment itself is beautiful! The kitchen and open concept and multiple lighting features are great. Also, having a half bath is a true luxury. The balcony is nice, but I was told I had to pay a few bucks more for the view which is just some trees and the parking lot but still nice! The bedrooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. Very comfortable. There is always a grounds crew cleaning and maintaining the complex so it always looks great! They even have undercover security to survey the parking lots. The only negative is people suck and dont clean up their dog poo and the grounds crew cant clean it up fast enough!3. Being in a 2 bedroom its better to avoid the noise from neighbors. I understand having upstairs neighbors, but mine had no regard for others. Every complaint I had was expeditiously attended to and I was given options about what I wanted to do. Im not one to make a big fuss, so bailey and david just gave the neighbors a call and for the most part, the noise and destruction of my porch stopped. My friends living on the bottom floor said they hardly heard their upstairs neighbors. Everyone is different.4. The amenities are awesome! I love the pool, unfortunately covid took over and I only got to enjoy them for a short time. Covid is effecting everyone. Theyre just trying to keep people safe. Yall complain too much. One negative tho, some times the compactor doesnt work or gets full? So trash will pile up outside of the dumpster but is quickly cleaned by the next day or that day.5. When I went to hand over my keys, I did the final walk through with david, I cleaned the apartment but forgot the fridge so I had to be charged which is ehh theyre gonna deep clean anyways so Im not sure why Im charged for that but whatever. Over all I was good to go and no fuss. Yall should always do a final walk through, thats just common sense.I will miss this apartment, it was luxurious for someone whos lived in lower middle class. I took care of it and put some nail holes in the walls and they said it was good to go. Dont listen to these negative reviews.

Cool concept and look to the community and the team at the office is wonderful. Construction is still underway on additional buildings but it’s great to be the first one in your new home. Recommend taking a look to see for yourself :)

Kate, David, Julia, and Bailey are awesome! Made our move-in very easy. Especially with me being in the military and not being able to see the place with my wife, I felt comfortable with everything. Definitely can’t wait until the community is completed and we start having events.

This is a great apartment complex. Management does a great job with maintaining the property. All of the pictures you see posted of the complex were taken before construction was completley finished. Which is to be expected. The trash compactor was overflowing because of how many people were moving in at one time. It is not like that now. Do not let the pictures stop you from considering Mezzo Apartment Homes as your next place to live.

I just came down from North Carolina with a friend and my older brother. We were looking for some apartments to stay in for the next year or two and we were lucky enough to have Bailey as our leasing agent. She made things very easy and convenient for us and were very happy with the apartment. I heard they’re is going to be a dog park soon in the area so I can’t wait to use that!

I just moved in and cannot believe the negative reviews. Nine months prior to my moving in, I toured this property on multiple occasions. I shopped around at many localities. I believe the negative comments are coming from people who have unrealistic expectations. First, the walls are not thin. I live on a first floor unit, I have 3 neighbors. No noise. heck, I can barely hear my washer and dryer when its going at night (with the laundry room door closed of course) And mind you, I turn everything off in my apartment when its time for bed. The only thing I could possibly hear is a faint sound of a siren. GYM is A+, Parking is A+ (people dont have to fight for it), the staff is A+, Move in is easy. I know I bothered the hell out of that office when I was getting everything together, but they worked with me and didnt show agitation and that is what customer service is about. I have only 1 complaint though. when people are walking their dogs by the pond early in the morning like 0345ish early morning, they tend to walk closer to the residents windows while having full blown conversations with outside voice it is creepy, maybe the office can shoot a notice about quiet hours or something so people arent loosing their S*** while sleep. woke up this morning thinking someone was lurking in my bedroom windows.. just a suggestion. But other than that, this place is the business. if you read my review, live here. It is awesome.

The staff has been incredibly helpful and friendly since the first email. Miss Julia sent me two videos of walking through the two different floor plans I was interested in, since Im deployed and cant be there to look at them in person. She went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. I look forward to living here.Update: the walls are VERY thin, I hear the neighbor below me constantly blasting music even at late hours. Also, the walls have a matte paint and the scuff if you accidentally bump them with literally anything (including jeans.) otherwise, no complaints most people are super friendly and the amenities and community events are great.

As a current resident and someone who’s been in the industry for 30 plus years, SL Nusbaum’s Mezzo Apartments are a classic case study of how not to develop, build, market, or manage a multi-family property.Their cheap attempt at service, luxury, and design is a complete miss.However, they’ve succeeded at one thing - being completely ordinary and laughable.Those in the know - know better. Steer clear or eliminate any expectations you might have with this property.

I came in to just to browse. Baylee, I believe was her name, was very helpful, informative, friendly, and patient with all my questions. I really was impressed with new appliances. I definitely will refer my friends to this wonderful, new apartment complex!

I would give it 0 stars.. i wanted to tour every weekend i came to drive thru loud noisy..young men took over pool very loud and drinking ..people hanging out every where ...nothing for a quiet place to live ... no one cares there horrible ... drove by today just to see again and i could hear the noise from the street not for the $$ thought it was just me but i saw women of the night there too and my friend said she saw them the weekend prior..

This place is a joke! It looks great, but the walls are so thin I can hear the people in the apartment next door snoring. They use outside sources that manage the electricity and HVAC systems so these random people have access to everyone’s apartments. I actually was home and they was so upset as if they wanted to eat my food or lay in my bed. I asked the staff and the manager of Mezzo here in VA Beach if they would stop letting random people in my home when I’m in there and NOTHING has changed. I’m paying my money so I feel that what I say should matter. They blew me off! They are not helpful. Condescending group of people. Living here is horrible. If I could give them a negative 5 i would.

The workers in the office are condescending and could care less about your residency.They held a catered grand opening event today and did not invite any of the residents.Do not move here.

UPDATE* Unfortunately Catharine, I asked to speak to you multiple times and was told you were on vacation for 3 weeks. After that, I was always told my messages would be relayed to you and that you would contact me.I was excited about this place prior to moving in Aug 9 but that quickly changed. I paid extra because of the short term lease and the full amenities werent even built. I definitely lost by choosing this complex and would never recommend to anyone. Springwater was my second choice because I used to visit all the time. Consider them before this place!1. I was told the gate would be up by the time i moved in. It wasnt and was later told 2 weeks after moving in. Then was told it would be up in the fall. When asked again, I was told it was in the works and that its not a security gate, only an access gate. That gate went up sometime in October and wasnt active until Jan 4.2. If you have a nice car, get a car garage! They use hard water to water the grass areas. The water sprinklers spray not only the grass but all over the cars leaving damaging water spots. When I expressed my concern because I drove an expensive vehicle, the lady in the office replied with a condescending well everyones cars are expensive nowadays.3. The walls are EXTREMELY thin. I could hear my neighbors conversations at normal speaking volumes in the bedroom. I could hear the person above me walk anywhere in his apartment and even when he utilized the toilet. Also, a lot of young military folks live here. My neighbors would have parties all the time on the weekends throughout the night and early morning.4. Make sure you do the final walk through with them. Do not trust them. I was waiting for a walkthrough on my last day and when no one came over I went to the office. They just asked for my keys and said that was it. Foolish me was ok because I was in a hurry. Weeks later as Im deployed Im sent pictures and a list of things I had to pay for. My apartment was spotless and nothing was damaged upon my exit.5. They leave notices on the door and multiple times theyd drop off others personal leasing information to my door. Which is how Im thinking they mixed my apartment with someone elses during the final out.6. The complex was rushed to be built. When I moved in they were still doing construction outside the building so there was constant loud noise every morning. Just money hungry and quick to move people in before construction was completed.

The best move in experience Ive ever had. My leasing agent, David, could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process.

My lease is up in less than 6 months and I cannot wait to get out of here. It is so true what others say about the walls being thin. You can litterally hear people casually talking in the apartment next door. Also when someone shuts their cabinents, tyou can hear that too. And of course the sound of someone flushing their toliets is great. There is going to be a mass exodus when peoples leases are up. The majority of the people her cant stand it. Management lacks any honor or ethics.
