Just stayed here Sept.11-18. $2500 for a week of being woke up Monday morning by a jack hammer above our head. We had to yell at each other in our room. Talked to front desk, offered no solution, no discount and said it would last 3 days. We still heard tapping over our head Friday morning. At this price just ridiculous. Also this price included no linens(we took our own) and no house keeping all week. There was good left in the cabinets, the bathroom drawers were left dirty with hair in them. The perfume smell from the plug ins caused me to cough, had to remove them and put them in a bag. Still smelled like perfume coming from air ducts. The closets were full of stuff so you couldn’t use them. Also the pool has no steps only ladders and very small, not very good for older guests. The weather was nice and nice area but definitely will not be returning to stay at Edgewater. Very disappointing for the price of this room.
We leave tomorrow so well be rid of each other. You can cheat the replacements. Perhaps you can use the money to make the next clients bearable. You had a lot of nerve charging us the same price as you do earlier in the season. Im a handicapped woman who came for a relaxing vacation. I saved up for it and paid full price for a week of Hell. No one else should even consider it. Lots of money for aggravation. No reservations should be taken when quality is missing. Save your money.
We paid $2500 for a week starting September 11 to 18th. There is construction going on in the condo above us. Jackhammer starting 9 AM. Going all day. When we complained we and several other people were told there is nothing that can be done, owners have the right to remodel starting September I. So hard earned vacation savings used on a condo that we cant spend the day there because of noise. Still paying same rate as if we were in a peaceful place. If construction is aloud in September renters should be informed so they know there is a possibility of it. I have been looking forward to this week for for a year! You need to look at your rule book, nunumbers 4 and 16Really angry!
Had a wonderful stay at this rental on the beach and boardwalk in VA beach.Stayed in #2021 on the 12th floor. It had 2 baths,2 bedrooms large living room area, nice kitchen. It was kept up so nice and met all of our needs. It was four of us but it could sleep 5 comfortably. It was owned by the O’Connors. If you want a nice place to stay, check this unit out. You can’t go wrong and you will enjoy every minuteof your stay. Wish I could go back for the whole summer. Can’t speak on other units in this building but this one is kept up very well.
No where in my contract did it state that each guest was allotted one towel set. We were shorted a towel set and that is when I was stated that we were allotted one towel set. Should you want them cleaned during your stay you can use the PAY washer and dryer on each floor. WOW, if, I had known then I would have brought towels from home (other than beach towels). So, I went and bought some. Who wants to go on vacation and have to do laundry all the time and pay for it. We did have to put our sheets on the beds. The closets were so full it hampered where we could put things. The mattresses were worn out. The air started acting up on Sunday night. Reported it on Monday. When they got the new motor it was installed late Tuesday afternoon. We all had lack of sleep from the lack of air and poor beds. The unit was decorated okay. Perfect view of the water and boardwalk. Only the balcony was extremely small. Drainage in the tubs and sinks were poor. No where adequately to hang things to dry, except in the shower. Where they were in the way of showering. We were a family of 6 and I think the unit fits more like a family of 4. Never have I had a condo so poor in quality. The sprayer on the kitchen sink wasnt hooked up or non working, maybe there for looks. Needless to say I will never stay @ Edgewater Condo in Virginia Beach, again. The pool was small 3-5 and capacity for 12.
My family has been traveling to Virginia Beach for the past eight or nine years. The past four or five years we have chosen to stay at Edgewater. During that time, we were very satisfied, it’s a lovely place. This year, we didn’t even get a chance to go down because of the COVID-19 situation. A lease is a lease however, we are in unprecedented times. Being from New York and a hotspot at the time, I called the office to find out what my options were if I needed to cancel. I was told that travelers who were uncomfortable because of the COVID-19 situation were being refunded. Great, right? Well, things greatly improved in New York however the disease spiked in Virginia Beach prompting our governor to add the state of Virginia to our list, upon returning home we would be required to have a COVID-19 test and quarantine for two weeks. There would be hefty fines for noncompliance and I am aware of folks traveling by car that have been monitored arriving from states on the list. We cannot afford to miss work and other obligations following our return home. I called the Edgewater to cancel our reservation and was told that since the beach is open, refunds are no longer being granted. I Wrote a detailed letter to the owner/board explaining why we would not be able to travel and how I would’ve been able to get a refund earlier in the season when my area was a hotspot and that it would not be a responsible thing for me to do/travel coming from a hotspot. Now that they are a hotspot I explained that by holding deposit hostage, it would essentially be forcing people to come to a hotspot in order to not lose that money and that is irresponsible on their part. I was also told initially that I’d be able to put my nonrefundable deposit towards a future trip. Now, I’m being told that it’s up to the individual owner and a possibility that I would totally lose $1125. This is really a slap in the face to a loyal customer during unprecedented times. We are experiencing a global pandemic and seeing things we’ve never seen before. Edgewater should be ashamed of themselves for the way they are conducting business.Once I sort this out, if the deposit is eligible towards a future stay, I will do that just to avoid losing money but that will be the end of my relationship with Edgewater. I will choose One of the many properties to choose from along the ocean front with better cancellation policies.***EDIT*** because they were able to rent out the condo, we did receive our deposit back less a small processing fee
Best family vacation spot on the strip! Easy parking, direct beach front access ( good news,no need to move car until vacation departure!). From the 2 bedroom unit you can enjoy spectacular sunrises, dolpin watching and concert music from your private balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is small pool, but nobody cared...since the ocean is STEPS away from your front door. Everybody LOVED it!!!
Fabulous area, pleasant, great for shopping, going to the beach, etc. Fun,fun
Such a better option than a hotel room. We got a fully-equipped beautiful 2 bedroom condo for the same cost has a hotel room. Not to mention the staff is great. I will definitely stay here again!
Our room was very nice and well kept. Had two bedrooms, living room area and a full kitchen. Only things we were disappointed with was how small the pool was and the pay washer and dryer were not in the room, shared by all on the floor. All in all we had a wonderful time.
Front beach weary nice and clean place
Hands down the best location on the strip! The views from the condos are amazing. The only little problem that we had was the parking. We had 2 families but they only allow one car per unit so we had to pay extra $60 to park our second car at the 31st Street parking garage. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend staying at Edgewater.
Great views and location!!! Plus we had dolphins outside our windows every morning!!! Youre just a walk away from everything on the strip. Which is very nice!!! Will definitely be staying here every time we come to VB!!!
We loved it here ! The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice and clean.
Staff is excellent and really wants you to have an enjoyable time. They are ready to go that extra mile for you.I would give the condo 5 stars but the 2 elevators for the 11 floors is just over worked in peak times.
I would not recommend this condo to family or friends. Staff is less than desirable, parking an extra car was 80 dollars, air conditioning quit with no compensation, one washer and dryer to be shared with floor and you better bring your own towels.
Our extended family stayed here last year, and are going again for the 4th of July week. There is plenty of room for the 6 of us, and every little thing is thought of. When I am cooking in the kitchen it feels like home- no reaching for an appliance or utensil that isnt there. Very quiet for such a large building- the only way I knew there were neighbors came when we saw them in the elevator! The trolley takes you anywhere you want to go on the Boardwalk (buy the weekly ticket if you plan on traveling a lot- a pick up spot is right in front of the property). Location- Perfect. On the Boardwalk, within walking distance of the pier/center areas, but not the center where the beach is overcrowded. I cant give this place enough stars- and cant wait to stay again this year!
Right on the beach so good access. WiFi, laundry facilities, and located next to a variety of food options.
Very very nice will come again.
Great staff. Right on boardwalk. Great view. Fairly easy to get to.
Beautiful building very low-key no signs no idea what this building is unless youre from here.
Best value on the beach for a week long stay. Excellent location and nice rental units.
Had a very great time cant wait to do it again next year.
