Great company with good employees.
In response to Lisa Quintinilla’s, comment we installed equipment for previous homeowner and the warranty is for the first homeowner it does not transfer to the multiple homeowners upon selling the home just as with anything else you purchase anywhere. This customer was very rude demanding and difficult to deal with. She used vulgar language towards our staff as well as our owner of the company from the get go. However we still did everything In Our power to satisfy her including doing the work at no cost to her. She was offered a maintenance contract at the time of service and declined saying she would never use us again on 8/15/19 and now here we are 6/9/20 and she’s calling asking for a membership and a maintenance. She is upset that we denied her request for both and told her we will not be returning to her home ever again and she right away started threatening to ruin the companys reputation. At STV we are all about customer service, and ensuring our customers are taken care of as well as the safety of our employees. We do not just enter homes without the permission of our customers and our technicians certainly do not drink on the job. The technician that ran her call does not even smoke! How would we have known the house would have a certain door unlocked if she hadn’t told us it would be open to go in that way and start doing what needed to be done till she returned. We understand you can’t please everyone and there will always be someone mad because they don’t get their way but we will not stand for our company to be ran in the mud and lied on. Contractors beware of this customer if you don’t do what she says or wants you will find yourself in the same situation and life is just too short to deal with difficult degrading people.
Absolutely the worst professional service and conduct. The service and repair took a week in the worst part of the summer and the tech and owner were very unprofessional. The worst customer service. The tech allowed himself in my home without me being present and when I spoke with him he smelled of cigarettes and liquor. The owner did not want to honor the warranty sold with the unit and defended his tech conduct. It was the worst experience with an A/C service repair company I have ever had. Buyer Beware! service after the sale is a nightmare!
Great customer service. Very knowledgeable technicians. Highly recommend.
Came in and took care of BUSINESS! For them to initially come out was cheaper than the other companies I called. Also, the lady who answered the phone when I called to schedule was very polite and helpful vs the other companies that sounded irritated and annoyed which didnt make me feel comfortable at all about their business! Adam came in that afternoon, ran some test/diagnosed the problem and explained what all needed to be done. He said he needed a pair of extra hands in the attic so he called the office and they scheduled me 2 days later which was fine with me because it wasnt a serious issue. Also, I wasnt charged the first day, they mentioned they would collect after the work was complete! I received a courtesy call 2 days later at 8:15am and Adam + Helper arrived 8:30am and got straight to work. Repaired what needed to be done and showed me everything and also gave me some insight knowledge on basic maintenance. I respect this company and will be using them in the future if need be!!
South Texas Ventilation sold me an AC with a 10 year parts, labor and compressor warranty clearly stated on the STV documentation and the owner told me that he was no longer going to service my AC unit because the product he sold me was having too many problems. Plus during the process damage was done to my home by which STV agreed to pay for but now refuses to.In July 2010 South Texas Ventilation sold me an Amana/Goodman 5 ton 16 seer 2 stage home AC unit. I was told by South Texas Ventilation (STV) that the Amana AC unit was top of the line and what they highly recommended. The South Texas Ventilation documentation clearly states that I have a 10 year parts, labor and compressor warranty and 1 year maintenance. The AC air handler coil leaked Freon around a year after install.STV tried to charge me labor to replace the coil even though STV sold me a 10 years parts, labor, and compressor warranty and 1 year maintenance.South Texas Ventilation owner actually tried to tell me that I was at fault because I did not purchase an added monthly maintenance subscription with them. Again, keep in mind that STV was supposed to maintenance the unit for the first year.(When I tried to purchase their monthly maintenance plan after the repair I was told that the owner would not sell me one)They finally replaced the coil after days of waiting at which I was without AC.At the time of the coil replacement the drain was cracked while replacing the coil. One of the STV techs told me that it was cracked by one the their guys who was trying to put the coil in without waiting for help. The unit leaked water into my duct board and caused water damaged to my sheet rock.I called the South Texas Ventilation owner. He told me that no tech was available and he would get someone out when they were available in a couple of days. When STV finally came out they said they would have to order a new drip pan.STV came to put in the new drip pan and the pan was cracked again during install.I did not become aware of the crack this time until the hurricane hit and electricity was off for days. When power was restored the AC had to pull so much hot air and humidity out of the home that it filled the drip pan and the leak was major. It saturated my sheet rock causing extreme damage this time around. When they came to replace this drip pan I was told that the AC coil was leaking Freon again!More time with no AC. Again STV tried to charge me labor to replace the coil.At the time the Owner of South Texas Ventilation agreed to pay for the water damage to my home multiple times. I sent the bill to STV and they are refusing to pay.At the time of the last coil repair the STV tech let it slip that the Goodman Amana brand of ACs were known for coil leaks. A quick Google search will verify that. The Owner affirmed to me that he was no longer carrying Amana/Goodman because he was having so many problems with them. He also stated that it was costing him too much money and that he was no longer going to service my unit. He told me I was on my own.I have given STV several opportunities to make things right but they still refuse.
This is texas and its always hot so I dont hesitate to call STV every time something goes wrong. They come out right away or when I schedule the time. Always friendly service and decent prices. I wont go to anyone else!!
I only gave them one star, because giving them none was not an option. I most definitely and sincerely regret having these guys come out. The tech they sent out smelt of booze and cigarettes, he seem to not be able to function properly. He had not one ounce of manners, Im not sure he even knew what the problem was, he couldnt even give me a straight answer. Needless to say I just payed the service fee and had someone else come out. Ohhh and to top it off I go to my garage and over heard the guy, who is haspanic, on his phone (out by his truck)talking to his boss it sounded like. He was saying all kinds of racial slurs about me. Geez they should just put a sign on their truck that say we hate white people. I mean for god sake theyve got one white guy in their company photo, way in the back hahaha how diverse. Well these guys are no Kings of AC and would never recommend them to anyone.
Excellent . Service with a smile . 😁
