When our rowhouse discovered we had long standing dry rot issues under our porches we contacted a number of contractors to submit proposals. Decco had the best price of the contractors that understood the scope of the work. Unfortunately the damage was much more extensive once the project was begun and the porches were opened up. While this was not good news Nik and Demetrie made sure we were kept involved every step of the way, showing us what they found and how the problems could be addressed. Throughout the project they did a great job controlling costs but making sure we would be 100% structurally sound.Because of the hidden damage the project took longer than planned but they did an unbelievable job of working with individual households to accommodate a variety of schedules and concerns.Based on the way they handled this very challenging project I would absolutely hire Nik and Demetire again and highly recommend them to others.

I used Decco for some siding repair and found Nik and his team to be extremely professional and responsive. Unfortunately, in the contracting business, neither of these traits are as common as a consumer would like. Once they got into the job, they found a bit of dry rot and was able to tackle at a very reasonable cost and still meet the original deadline for completion. No surprises in terms of cost once all was done and great quality work.

Headline: Decco Design saved our home.We knew we had some water damaged channel siding and knew it came from excess water funneling to one spot on the deck that was not current code. The house was vintage 1979 but had new lifetime guaranteed roofing shingles and new roofing boards. Nik and Dimitri came out and gave us an estimate for what they could see that needed repair including the rot on the bottom of the siding. We accepted their bid and they started in two weeks (waiting for the rain to quit). We noticed some blisters in the channel board 5 layer paint that turned out to be filled with water. Imagine water running between the paint and wall board! It got worse from there. Water rot down to the foundation. They fixed it all including a new fascia gutter board and did so professionally, cleaning up the days work every night. Without Deccos work we would be tearing out the interior of the house as well. Major repair then to be sure. They didnt miss anything. These guys are good! Is there a 6-Star rating?

We can highly recommend Decco Design. They replaced the siding on the south side of our house. They did a great job and where very easy to work with, so we asked them to paint the exterior of our home as well. Once again they did a great job at a fair price. We would not hesitate to call them again.

I was lucky to find Nikita and Dimitri at Decco Design. They are the kind of serious craftsmen you want on a dry rot repair job, experienced, creative and communicative. One corner of my house was visibly damaged near the ground and after removing the siding they found an earlier hidden episode of damage on the second floor above. So they replaced the first and second floor framing all around the corner, plus sheeting and siding, and reframed the adjacent shed door. Dimitri built a temporary support frame in the corner bathroom during the reconstruction. They left the job site secure with tarps every night, since it rained the whole time through Thanksgiving. They also advised and assisted with shoring up the deteriorated joists in the shed, and damaged or missing siding, getting the house paint ready. They also provided advice on handling a future repair of the shed roof. This was an expensive repair but I have to admit their estimates of the time and complexity were accurate. The job was complicated by having to work around and replace some plumbing and wiring. They added careful finishing touches to prevent future deterioration. I recommend their skill set and honesty.

We recently had our kitchen remodeled, including new flooring, counters, and back splash. These guys did a fantastic job for me on a very difficult project. They finished in a very timely manner and worked through sleet, snow, hail and non-stop rain and mud. They consulted with me throughout the project and always made sure they were building exactly what I wanted for my farm. They had to avoid the ducks, chickens, goats and dogs and never leave a gate open. They were amazingly understanding and patient with the difficulties on my property. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Decco Design has done 3 projects for me: fence removal and replacement, siding, and shed removal/replacement. Replacing dry-rotted siding was the first project. Because they were polite, prompt, diligent and thorough (and I was pleased with the results), I trusted them to do additional work and I hired them again. They show up when they say they will, they return your calls, and they promptly address any questions or concerns. If the need arises, I will hire them in the future. I have also recommended them to several friends.

I had Decco Design replace siding that had water damage, remove door on side of house that also had water intrusion inside house and damaged floor. Floor was replaced and door opening was walled in. Front window shutters replaced with picture frame trim and belly trim board across bottom of siding on front of house. House was painted and I am very satisfied with the work and Nick and Dimitri were great with explaining the process and procedures with the whole project and in a timely manner. Decco Design removed old siding and replaced it with Hardie Plank siding and painted the new siding with three different colors. The price was very competitive and the work performed professionally and according to our agreed upon specifications. The place was kept clean and the property respected. I would recommend them to others

They were prepared to do another type of carpentry service purchased through Angies List, however the fencing between old garage pad /now pergola had to be closed off so they agreed to do that instead. They purchased cedar planks for fence and other hardware needed. Job was done in an afternoon and looked good. I would use them again.

From the estimate to the clean-up, Decco Design staff were prompt, courteous, and thorough. The project (woodwork repair, pressure washing, painting, and fence staining at personal residence) was completed on time and within budget, and I have been delighted with the quality of the work.

We had signs of water damage under a window that had been installed incorrectly. I used Home Advisor to get list of siding companies to get estimates. Decco Design was the first to respond, and did very through inspection of our home...using ladder to inspect areas known to be a problem. I was there throughout the inspection, and really appreciated their approach. The two other companies that gave me estimates did not spend much time doing inspection, and did not listen to my request to repair siding...not replace it with a more expensive hardi.Throughout the project, Nik kept me informed and whenever they found areas of further concern (dry rot) they showed me area and we discussed options....I was included throughout and learned a lot more about how to protect and care for siding to the future! I so enjoyed working with them, they were professional and very careful. At the end of each day they cleaned up, and respected my property. In addition to the siding repair and replacement, Decco Design also removed old fence and built new one. Now that the painting is complete, our home looks better than when it was purchased!I would definitely recommend this company.

These guys were great.Decco Design (Nik and Dmitri) repaired two doors and a window in my house. The house is nearly 90 yrs old and had a couple doors with minor water infiltration issues and an upstairs window with bad drainage on the exterior roof side. On the doors, they removed the old door frames, removed some semi-rotten internal wood supports hidden inside one door, and replaced the door frames and doors. On the window they improved the roof sloop to improve drainage on the outside of the house, then sealed everything up with better roofing materials. Their work was of high quality for a reasonable price. Both gentlemen made an effort to be clean, and cleaned up after each day. Nik was also very good with communication and clarifying exactly what was included in the scope of work. Id highly recommend.
