Had the air conditioner, in my 98 S10 serviced at Gaynor, and wanted to wait before reviewing, because time will truly be the test. Well, its been several years now, and I couldnt be more pleased. My AC was leaking, and needed a new compressor when I went in. I was charged an extremely fair price, and my air conditioner is STILL working like a dream. We are almost at the 5 year point, well beyond the 3 year warranty. This summer has been a real test too. I just couldnt be happier. I highly recommend Gaynors. Theyre honest, and their work is exemplary.

My car was leaking fluid, and was misdiagnosed at another shop as having fluid leaking from the hydraulic mount. Gaynors did a thorough investigation and found my oil pan was cracked. Fixed by the next day. Great communication and friendly service. Will be back.

This is my first experience at Gaynors. They were supportive, informative and let me make decisions based on my finances and timelines. I was provided an estimate which did not fluxuate from the actual expenses. The invoice was easy enough for a non-mechanic like me to understand. I was kept current on timeline to complete the job. Comparing to previous places of service, prices were very competitive and maintenance was in alignment with my cars owner manual. I delivered my car and was driven home by an employee. One caution is that Fridays are extremely busy, so make plans to get your car yourself, not on being picked up or delivered. Understandable and workable for me. I will definitely return.

I brought my 1989 Itasca RV in for oil and filter change and check all other items as we get ready to travel and the Gaynors on Mill Plain did an amazing job. Funny thing is the bug spoiler on the front left caught on the arm of the tech closing the hood and a foot of it snapped off. It was old and brittle but the tech and the supervisor were distraught and were sourcing a new one and called me asap. I tryed to explain NO BIG DEAL and just take a few bucks off the bill and dont worry- when I got there the Boss walked me out to the RV and kept apologizing profusely- I kept telling him its NOT A BIG DEAL but he wouldnt let me pay a Nickel, nothing. Now that is over the top customer care . Ive always enjoyed taking all of my cars to Gaynors and will continue to BUT I want to share this great experience as proof they TRULY DO RESPECT AND TAKE CARE OF EVERY CUSTOMER. I have had very good experiences with Gaynors. However, I have told them repeatedly that I no longer own this vehicle. They continue to call and text me about it when it is brought in. Apparently they do not care to update the information in their computer.

Mike was A+++. Friendly, efficient, obviously enjoys what he does.Next day text summarization blew me away. Very informative with links to explain any/all questions.Might be a bit on the pricey side, but if the adage you get what you pay for still holds true, Gaynor is worth the price.

Best bargain in town for oil changes. They do a full safety check of your car in addition to the oil change. Not to mention theyre one block from the best restaurant in Vancouver, Cactus Ya Ya.

Did a heater coil replacement.They were speedy and did give explanations about the work that needed to be done.I thought they were pretty expensive, though they back up their work. Did a good job explaining what could wait and what couldn’t and also provide transportation services.

Gaynor’s has earned a lifelong customer and will be the sole mechanics for my vehicle moving forward. Great communication, speedy work, and they proved themselves to be honest and trustworthy. When I asked about whether or not a specific part needed to be replaced, they told me it was fine and didn’t need any work at this time - it’s rare to hear that in this industry. That alone prompted me to request they perform additional preventative maintenance, because I trusted their guidance, wanted peace of mind with my vehicle, and wanted to further support a great local business. I previously used a Toyota dealership to service my Sequoia, but they always pushed additional services which weren’t needed, charged far too much, and didn’t have nearly the quality of communication that I received from Gaynor’s. I’m not typically one to post a review, but I’m thoroughly impressed and these folks deserve the recognition.

Called with instructions to diagnose my transmission for inner transmission problems. They told me no problem and then inspected the engine and brakes. Never removing or actually checking the transmission. Was not pleased with service and will not be using gaynors again.

The honesty and non pressure sales is a huge win for me. I had a pretty hefty repair done and it was quite expensive. They knew this and never pushed the repair to be done. They simply made a suggestion and let me decide. They spent a lot of time with me answering questions of things that I was not that familiar with. Great customer service and regular communication during the repairs. They tackled a job no other autoshop was willing to: a leaking sunroof. Lots of labor hours to get to the root of the issue, but they did well. The job was done well and with care, including connecting to the detailer next door to save me a step to help remove water stains from the headliner.

I came in with a strange rattling problem with my expedition. The noise could easily be duplicated multiple times per day.I dont know what magic the techs use, but just by being within their aura the SUV was fixed. They are this good!They kept it a couple days trying to duplicate the problem, but it never returned. Im bringing them my ex wives next.No charge to me. Thanks guys!

Needed a quick diagnosis and check, called numerous services who had no availability days later. I called Gaynors Automotive and after sharing the results of a scan the wonderful gentleman shared some thoughts on what the possibilities might be, made me realize I may be have been preempting more extreme fixing than might be unnecessary and more costly. I was conveniently able to leave the vehicle overnight with their key drop box system and had it looked at the very next day. I really appreciated the honest, reliable and timely service I received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I paid them for a pre-buy inspection, and Im sure glad I did! They were very thorough, and were very knowledgeable about the truck. They gave me a report and spent time with me explaining it thoroughly. They have a good reputation and I wouldnt hesitate to use them for any maintenance or repairs.

The TPMS light was on and after getting new tires at Les Schwab, the TPMS sensor blinked then stayed on... Les Schwab didnt know how to fix it. I spoke with a local Nissan dealership and their solution was just look at the tires before driving or could pay $800. for new sensors.. it bugged me not knowing what was causing the issue, so since the car was serviced at Gaynors on Mill Plain by the original owners, I went there to see if they could diagnose and fix the problem.. They figured oyt the issue was a bad fuse and replaced it .. Hooray!! The have a new satisfied customer. I highly recommend Gaynors on Mill Plain.

I normally dont leave reviews, but thought I should in this instance. My truck had multiple issues due to age (93 Chevy). The list of repairs were extensive, from engine to drivetrain. Gaynors addressed all of the issues over the course of about 3 weeks. After I got it back, it ran and handled like a new truck. This was not an inexpensive repair, and I could probably have taken it somewhere else and saved a few dollars, however, two things to remember. 1. You get what you pay for. 2. Finding an honest mechanic is difficult! I dont want to disrespect other shops, but Ive had my share of misrepresented repairs. Ive been using Gaynors on Mill Plain for about 8 years now and have always found them to be upfront and reputable. Ill continue using them for my deep repairs. There was also a warranty on the repairs (3 years/36K miles, I think), which Ive never heard of from a repair shop. Dont know if the warranty was specific to my type of repair or not. I should add that they also did some body fixing, which is completely outside their scope, at no charge. Truly above and beyond service. Thank you.

I have a parasitic draw on my Explorer thats intermittent, and while they couldnt track it down (because it wouldnt do it while in the shop) they tried for several days and didnt charge since they didnt do any repair work. Honest and will go back.

I asked them to look at my truck and offer an opinion on my problem. I was through with throwing parts and money at this issue. They spent a lot of time looking at it and told me it was most likely drive-train related. It really helps to get their opinion; theyre a reputable company with knowledgeable technicians. I expected to pay up to $150 but they didnt charge me because they didnt come up with a definitive diagnosis. I am so grateful. Ill certainly come back and recommend them to my friends & family.

Had to have the right front axle replaced. Brought it in at 8:30 and got it back at 4:30. He told me ahead of time it would take most of the day. Tim and Jason are great. The guy driving the shuttle car is great, too. When I dropped off the car, I asked them to take a look at the glove compartment because it wouldnt close on the right side. When I picked up the car and asked about the glove compartment, he said he had forgotten to put that on the order. Someone took a quick look and he just had to remove it and pop it back in. Took 20 seconds. For the inconvenience, they took $25 off my total. Im very happy with the service on my car and their friendly and professional customer service towards me.

They’re always honest with me—at least 2-3 times I’ve assumed I needed some expensive work on one thing or another and they’ll come back and say “it was nothing” or some minor deal. So when they tell me I need something more major, I have no doubts. They’re timely as well. Without trust, you keep looking elsewhere. But I trust this place.
