Smart Choice was our choosing for HVAC work after we looked at their amazing reviews. We had a new air filtration system and a humidifier installed. We were sent a group of courteous professionals who worked hard and expertly to make our home a more pleasant place to live. We are seniors. The new higher humidity in the house helps to alleviate health problems. Not wanting to sound medical, but when indoor humidity drops below 30% during cold months you are apt to have sinus problems and other irritations. The low humidity effects many aspects people do not realize from your wood floors to your houseplants, even brittle hair, and hair loss. Amazing huh…High humidity can also have effects, but with this new installation it keeps it at the correct level.After they installed the humidifier and air filters, we have had zero sinus problems. Zero. That alone made it worth the price. We appreciate their hard work and I would recommend them highly.

Jacob was the first one to come out to talk to us about what type of Central Air Unit we were looking to have installed. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us to select the right unit for us. On installation day, they had a whole crew / team out for delivery, checking the ducts / airflow and EVERYONE was so nice and professional. They had our new ac unit up and running in no time. Weve already had it for one year and called for a one year maintenance check-up. Everything is running great and we are very pleased with system we purchased. We highly recommend Smart Choice. Smart Choice employees were great to work with. Over a 3-day period - they were communicative about each phase of work, patient with my questions, patient with my dog, and found items in my attic I didnt know were there and brought them down for me. Smart Choice was willing to work with PUD recommendations, even though it reduced the amount of money paid to Smart Choice and I respect that. The one issue was a communication breakdown between the office staff, field crew, and electrician which resulted in the electrician showing up for repairs and me only knowing the field crew said there was a breaker issue and the electrician would be coming on a specific day to fix it. The electrician was patient, and was able to connect with the crew member that knew what needed to be done. They were able to fix what needed to be repaired. Smart Choice employees were professional and responsive.

Technician Jacob was fantastic -- personable, knowledgeable and a fast troubleshooter. The scheduler was excellent, too. Jacob and I chatted as he diagnosed and then repaired our AC compressor by replacing the capacitor. He also shared a few maintenance tips that the homeowner can tackle. Fortunate it was just the capacitor because thats one of the easiest and least expensive items to have to replace to get your AC running again. Highly recommend Smart Choice Heating & Cooling.

We are extremely satisfied with the service we just received from smart choice heating and cooling. Every step of the way I was communicated with and helped. The front desk employees were fantastic to work with warm and inviting. Our Hvac system was broken for two weeks before installation and they provided us with a portable ac in the mean time. We called Smart Choice at 6:30pm on a Friday night and left a message (it was 100 degrees that day); 5 minutes later we received a phone call back and had an appointment for 10am the next morning. The tech that came out was right on time and had my AC working again within 20 minutes and probably only took that long because he put up with my 20 questions. Really nice guy that worked quickly and professionally. It’s always a pleasure to work with people who know their craft and have good people skills.This was my second experience with Smart Choice; 4 or 5 years ago they replaced an AC unit in my old home and they did a fantastic job then as well. I’d refer any friend or family member to them every time.

What a great company! The technician was extremely thorough; he carefully inspected and ran both the heat and the air conditioning; checked the furnace filter and advised me to get a new one ( I did); meticulously washed the outside unit; and explained the various features of my thermostat. I found them on line and they called me right away and was able to set up an appointment to look at my house and give me an estimate - They were very nice and knowledgeable. I was able to get my AC installed in the next 2 weeks after the visit. The installers were so fast and very nice.

Our A/C quit working. We made an appointment with smart choice since we have used them in the past and have had good experiences. It started working a few days later but we kept the appointment. So glad we did because we have a coolant leak and need a new unit. Ours is old and not worth fixing. Tech was on time, very informative, and answered our numerous questions. He was very polite. I also love talking with Alyssa the office gal! She has helped with scheduling problems as we both work odd hours. I also order my filters directly through this company by the box as they are hard to find. They are always helpful.

From the moment I called and talked to Amanda I knew I had finally found a company with impeccable customer service skills. She was so very helpful and I received both a text and an email confirmation for my upcoming appointment. The service technician Jacob was polite, completely professional, located and fixed our HVAC promptly, showed us photos of the issue, explained how it happened, cleaned his area and the price was much less than we had anticipated. I quickly called to a part of their Comfort Club in which they come out once or twice a year to check on things in the hopes of preventing any issues in the future during the times you need you system work the most. I cant say enough kind words. They are the heating and cooling team you need.

This company goes above and beyond. Several years ago I had them do minimal work on my heating system as it was all I could afford. Their excellent care lasted me years. Even though I had minimal service they treated me as well, even better than an average customer could expect. When I called this time, I apologized for not calling sooner as we were about to experience a massive heat wave, but I had just gotten home from the hospital. I told them I was scared and could they come before the heat wave. Even though it was a week out, they said they were mobbed, but the best they could promise was the Tuesday after the heat wave, but if they could come any sooner they would try and call me. Well, they did call me and said they could come out the Thursday before the heat wave at 10am. I was so excited and relieved I couldnt sleep, so even when they came at 10am, I was so deeply asleep I didnt hear the door even though I was only 20 feet away. My guys who picked up my groceries and knew the door would be open arrived at 10:30am and showed me the card Smart Choice had left. I was so upset, but when I called Smart Choice, they said they would check and get right back to me. They did. Said their guys could come at the end of the day. They arrived before two, were incredibly polite and considerate, filled me in as they worked as to what needed doing and what it cost, and by four my house was starting to cool. I asked them what other maintenance I needed. They said they would have to come back after the heat emergency, but would send me a written estimate. By Monday, the last and worst day of the heat wave, the estimate was in my email. Considering the state of my health, Brandon and Mike (and Amanda in the office) may have very well saved my life. The technical people at Smart Choice have done two repair jobs for me, along with air conditioner/furnace maintenance. They are very thorough, and very good. Their work has always corrected my issues on my system is good for many years, and their costs are quite reasonable. I always call them if I need anything related to my heating &air conditioning system.

Smart Choice was able to squeeze me in and replace the capacitor on my ac unit. I was the beneficiary of a cancellation and their scheduler called immediately to offer me the slot. To get my unit repaired on the day I called during a heatwave is remarkable.

Installed new A/C unit with Smart Choice. The work took just over 5 hours; they also scheduled an electrical contractor to work alongside them in that time frame, took care of construction permits and scheduling an inspection. They also gave me discount to beat other companys bid. Great service and communication from beginning to end, I highly recommend this company.

My Bryant AC compressor was not working and was tripping the circuit breaker. Based on their reviews and the fact that they were an authorized Bryant dealer I called Smart Choice and requested a service visit. The quote for the service call to diagnose the problem was $107 plus tax.The appointment was scheduled for a week out. Jason, the tech, called on the day of the visit and asked if he could come by early. That was fine by me.Jason inspected the compressor and immediately suspected a bad capacitor. He opened the unit and found the capacitor bulging. He tested the capacitor by replacing it with a new one which immediately allowed the compressor to operate normally. Problem solved. He advised me that the cost of the replacement capacitor was $200. As I was expecting to have to replace the whole compressor I was relieved at this and was happy to escape with a total fee of $343.63 (including tax). In addition to replacing the capacitor, Jason also tightened some screws in the compressor housing to help reduce some buzzing noise that it made when operating.I was pleased with the service I received from Smart Choice. Jason was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. He had the entire job completed in under 30 minutes.Although I was happy to pay the fee to have the compressor back in operation, I was a little taken aback by the $210 charge for the capacitor replacement. I looked up the cost for AC capacitors and they typically run well under $20 on Amazon, Lowes, or other online sites. The most expensive one I could find was $30. Assuming they have a 100% markup, and the remainder of the $210 charge was for labor then I was paying $150 plus the $107 diagnostic fee for half an hours work. That works out to more than $500/hr.Based on their excellent work, if I need future HVAC work I would certainly consider Smart Choice again, but I would also get bids from other firms for a major project.

Arrived earlier than expected. Did a good job doing initial diagnostics, though didnt resolve the problem, worked towards next steps and ordered the part needed to fix the system. Very professional and did a great job answering my questions.

Their comfort club is really nice and their customer service if on point. Just make sure to understand how to back out of the contract if you move out of their service area.

Jacob Meyers was amazing! We called this morning because our AC went out yesterday (hottest day we’ve had so far this year) and their schedule was full, so we scheduled an appointment for Monday. Shortly after scheduling our appointment, we got a call from Jacob saying he could squeeze us in and be here in 15 minutes, so of course we said YES! Over the years in different homes they have install for us one Heat pump system and maintained, one new Bryant gas furnace with AC in home #2, and inspected and serviced my current home #3 with a Bryant gas furnace and AC . Could not be more pleased in doing business over the years with Jose and crew.

Smart choice was able to fix our AC duct issue where the builder insulated over the diverter. For years our upstairs rooms either froze in winter or heated up in summer. Finally - we can relax in our home upstairs. Great customer service, the guy figured it out within minutes.

Edit: through no fault of their own, our new heat pump had a manufacturer default that was discovered days before a predicted record breaking heat wave. This company bent over backwards to get the part shipped asap and installed before the heat!!The kept me very informed of the situation and really came through big time!!My household wanted to get a heat pump installed, we had several companies come out and tell is we needed a new furnace, etc. Jacob from smart choice came out and gave us a straight answer and saved us thousands of dollars! Our techs, Derek, Nick, and Logan did a great job, identified a problem very early on and were able to fix it while installing the heat pump. They were very professional and got right to work. I have used Smart Choice to service my heating and cooling system for over the last 6 plus years. The heating system is over 17 years old and still running great. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy.

We’ve always has very positive experiences with Smart Choice.This most recent time, I needed a diagnosis to see if I should be concerned about a noise the system was making. Because it wasn’t an emergency, we made an appointment two days out. They confirmed the appointment the evening before. On the day of the appointment, I had a two-hour window. 30 minutes into the window, the scheduler called to tell me the technician was delayed and would be calling me soon with an arrival time. 20 minutes later, the scheduler called to say a new technician had been assigned and would arrive in 10 - 15 minutes. This technician arrived on time and the call was complete by the end of the original two hour window. The technician gave me ideas on how to maintain things better myself and also on the expected future life of the system.All this detail is to show that they are communicative and customer oriented. I got what I wanted, and they did what they said they would, when they said they would. The cost seems reasonable to me (somewhat over $100 for the service call, time and tax, no parts). All-in-all, I’m a happy customer and will keep their magnet on my inside unit for the next time it needs something.

They came out on a Sunday to analyze my furnace. The technician isolated the problem. I asked if they could do the work the next day due to my erratic schedule. The person scheduling the estimate and service was very polite. The technician, Jose, came to my house, went over my request, took pictures and provided me with an electronic estimate before he left my driveway. I scheduled the work a couple weeks later. Jose showed up with an apprentice and reviewed the request with me again. Both Jose and his apprentice were polite, professional and cleaned up everything when the job was done. There were a couple things I asked to be done differently which they did without hesitation making sure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Smart Choice.

I recently became aware that my heating bill had doubled since last year. I called Smart Choice and Brandon came out to inspect my HVAC system. I learned that the compressor had failed which would be normal for a system over 20 years old. Brandon gave me my options including a new Compressor, however since the system was so old I opted for a new one.That day I was sent an estimate for three systems, the last being a high efficiency Bryant. I was leaning towards spending extra for the high efficiency when I was called the next day and told the manufacturer of Bryant was offering a rebate which would be taken off the top, and that PUD was offering a rebate after installation. I was told that Smart Choice would be handling all rebates so I would not be responsible for dealing with this after installation. After learning about the rebate I went with the high efficiency. This was just a couple weeks ago and my new system is scheduled to be installed tomorrow.I am very happy with the customer service I have received with this company. I have been using them going on two years for maintenance and inspections and they have always been friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend their services.Oh and the Bryant system comes with a ten year parts warranty. Peace of mind.....

I love my new Amana HVAC equipment, but I have been most impressed with the service from Smart Choice. They are professional, quick to respond, and great to work with. Highly recommended.

We have contracted with SmartChoice to do our ongoing care and maintenance for our HVAC and an additional ductless we had them install into our downstairs apartment for my mom. Professional, courteous, no upsells, fear tactics etc. We especially like Dave and Jacob but all their techs have been fantastic.

Smart choice was the only company that took my concerns about covid seriously while other companies wouldn’t even consider my requests. Their office staff was extremely helpful in going over options remotely and they were able to come install a replacement furnace in just a few short days. I really appreciated the high quality customer service from all their employees and will certainly use them again if I have any other hvac projects in the future.

The service guy was super good! He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

Last week (Feb 2021) our tenant called on one of the coldest snowist days of the year and said the pilot light was out on their furnace. My go to company was closed so I called Smart Choice Heating and cooling and they put us on the schedule for the next morning at 8:00 am. They were on time and replaced the igniter switch. Jacob, the technician was both knowledgeable and courteous. He showed me everything he was doing and taught me some things to be able to better maintain my AC system. Luckily, it was a fairly simple fix and he had the part available in his van for a quick repair on a hot day! I also was impressed that they were available next day during a very busy HVAC season. No other service I called could come that soon.

I am so glad we found Smart Choice when we were looking to install central air in our house. Their products and services are outstanding! They are very customer service oriented, professional and friendly. We have an annual maintenance program with them and look forward to seeing them every year to come and check on our heating/air conditioning system. I highly recommend them!!!!

Easy to make an appointment with their gracious office staff. Well educated HVAC guy came and looked at the minor rust area noticed by the home inspection. Great warranty on system put in last year, so NO charge and will check again in 6 weeks. Checked with NW natural. Largest heat/cool bill was $44 a mo. Love it
