Took my 1998 Ford Expedition in for some maintenance work and Joe took care of my repairs that were required. Did a brake job on it and said that I would need additional parts that I was aware of but wasn’t sure if I would need. Turns out I would need the additional parts and was called and told the price of said parts. I would rather have it done correct and be safe than be cheap and risk problems down the road. Brakes work great and the rest of the work done makes the Ole Grey Mare run for many years to come. Thanks for all the great, professional work Joe did for me.

I took my 2007 Dodge Ram truck in to get her brakes, rotors and calipers replaced.Joe was my attendant. He was very knowledgeable in what needed to be done and assured me it would be done that day.As promised, Joe called me just a few hours later and said my truck was done and bonus…It was cheaper than my original quote.Even though their lot is full of cars needing service, the still had time to get me in and out quickly. Toms Valpo Auto Repair isa total rip off. They take advantage of women, assuming they know nothing about vehicles. They charged me for both front brake pads, calipers and rotors and in less than 4 months (7,000 miles) my brakes were vibrating when I stopped and squeaking.Tom said I wore them out from slamming on the brake when I stopped and I insisted he fix them again. Come to come out he NEVER put new parts in that he charged me for. He just ground down rotors and greased caliper slides.. And he charged me for a full front brake job. Just shy of $500.00. Totally took advantage of me being a woman. He also did a brake job on my SUV and now my brakes are squeaking and grinding. . Ive had 3 other issues that hes charged me for and now has to be refined. I when I went in to get brakes fixed for third time the kid behind the counter wouldnt let me talk to Tom. We got into an argument and the kids flung my keys at me and told me to GET OUT. Very rude!!! Had my car for almost a week . I came in the day they said it was done and they hadn’t done anything. Had a full tank when I dropped it off and when I picked it up it was a half a tank left. I took my car to a different shop turns out I didn’t even need all the work done that they said I did. Be careful if your a women they definitely try to get over on us. Wouldn’t recommend!!!!!!!!!

I dropped off my vehicle at 9 am to be diagnosed and within an hour or so they knew what the problem was and actually had the entire repair complete and ready for me to pick up a few hours after that. Same day repair on a very large job. Very fair price and even let me know of a few other repairs that needed to be done but they didnt try and push them on me. Great job and people were very kind and informed.

Its been over a month and the problem has yet to be corrected. First the wrong part was delivered. OK, it happens. Rescheduled 2 weeks later to have correct part installed, check engine light still on after taking it back 3 times. Then. had an appointment scheduled for this week, but they were too busy and now the owner is on vacation for 2 weeks. Disappointed.

Very unprofessional did not fix the 1 error code out of 3 and charged $1262.83. Toms auto repair did a smoked test to find the leak. Found leak at egr solenoid. They removed and replaced solenoid with new. Egr valve and knock sensor, belt squeak remove and replace egr valve and knock sensor with new. Found bolt on alternator to be stripped. Remove bolt and readjust alternator. This is their description. Second time i took my vehicle in they found a small leak and replaced vacuum lines with new. They never notified about the issue or cost of repair. They only called to inform it was ready for pick up. So I drive home with apparently a fixed car. Not so fast the engine light soon on again! Called and explained the situation . And they said to take the vehicle back again so they can troubleshoot again. In my opinion a total waste of time and money!

They went above and beyond, fixed my car, check engine light off and emissions passed! Reasonable prices as well. Just in time for winter. My husband and I are grateful to find someone we trust to take our cars to.

They do good work, when they get to work. Often times it can be days until they call you with details, several times now weve had issues of no call back, and when we called them were either told to call back later, or that the work had been done (without OKing the work first)

For years I have always taken my vehicles to Toms. He offers honest and accurate diagnostics along with fair prices.Everyone there is friendly and helpful.I highly recommend Toms to family and friends.

Toms Valpo Auto Repair Shop is a total & complete rip off. I took my van in to get an alternator replaced & they broke a wire that goes to my traction & ABS sensors. Tom looked at the van & said I didnt have to worry about the ABS & traction light coming on & it has nothing to do with my braking system period. Before I got home those lights were right back on in my dash. I told Tom that I didnt have any lights coming on in my dash when I brought my van to get the alternator fixed. Tom said that he believed me that these lights werent on when I brought the van in. So, the following Monday I brought the van back up to his shop & he looked at the van & said the traction sensor had come lose from the tire when they put the van on the lift to fix the alternator & he put the wire/sensor back in. Before I got home, again, those same dash lights came on. So, I called & talked to Tom again, but this time he said it would cost me $65 for him to look at my van again. Why should I have to pay for something his shop broke in the first place? This is a total & complete rip off mechanic shop that I have ever seen. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO TOMS. They fix one thing & tear up another thing, so you bring your vehicle back to him. I give this shop a negative 5 stars.

Do NOT take you vehicle here. They do not return phones or do the work when promised. I had to personally get a ride to their shop to drive my vehicle off and take it to someone I could trust to get it fixed. Youre better off walking to wherever you have to go.

Worst service had car for over two weeks and didnt fix or touch, I will never use Toms again be careful on shop you use do your homework very very upset,not happy at all. took it to shop down the street and got it fixed in two days timing chain was the problem.

Horrible service. Scheduled a week ahead of time for a major exhaust repair, confirmed the appointment the day before and theu didnt didnt even touch the truck. When I called he said he wasnt even sure about the next day either!Waste of time!
