Paid $180 for my daughter and her two friends to get their nails done just to have them not satisfied said that the nail technician to be rough and didnt give the girls what they asked for. Gems were crooked, the color isnt what they ask for, nails are different sizes from one hand to another. BEST ADVICE: Stay away from FIRST NAILS

Awesome salon. Very skilled, friendly staff, very clean shop. I was able to get same day appointment when I called. MK did an excellent job. Highly recommend her, if youre looking. Really love the massage chairs. Great place for some self-care.

Awful laziest pedicure I’ve ever had. Toenails were trimmed but not filed, and they are crooked. “Massage” was like one minute. Nail paint was sloppy and not shiny. The guy was rushing to leave and his girlfriend who worked there was trying to push me out well before my nails were dry. She was sooooo rude.

I use to go here before the covid pandemic. Use to give generous tip. Will never go again. Brought my 9 year old grand daughter. she got a manicure and i got a pedicure. She bites her nails and we were killing time while my car was detailed. They charged $35 for a childs manicure. That is ridulous. She wanted to take the gel off when we left. There are a lot of other salons. I will ask better questions and not do a manicure when I dont have an auto.

Sarah did amazing on my nails. I went in with a month long grow out on my acrylic nails and she was able to get them off, with no damage and make my nails look Valentines Day ready! 10/10 will be back!

Nails & design turned out nice. Owner came over to say hello & was friendly. The nail tech argued with me about the design, nail shape & the polish choice. Good availability & decent quality overall, but arguing takes away from an otherwise great experience.

I love EMILY!! she does such an elegant set of nails. Not too thick, not too wide Just perfect for me every time. I call her to get an appointment just with here or Kevin. The place is large, lots of nail specialists and if crowded the wait is usually not even 10 minutes. They do an honest and great job here. I can highly recommend this place - it’s clean and healthy!!

I wouldnt go anywhere else to be pampered. Everyone at 1st nails is highly well trained & very professional. They take the extra time to massage your legs & feet when having a pedi done. I always leave happy because of the wonderful care I get there. I highly recommend trying them out! P.S. They also have special senior discount days....They will not disappoint!

I liked the way they shaped my nails, but way way to expensive. $70 for a pedicure?? Lol that is unheard of. Idk if Ill be goin back there.

I will not go back, every time I’m there it seems as if they were in a rush, and the lady who did my nails was being really rough she was hurting my nails and fingers, even tho there was like none in there besides me and my sister they did our acrylics in maybe 20 minutes (yeap that’s how rushed they were) Didn’t like my nails and she got mad when I asked her if she could please thin them a bit more because they were too thick. The shape was weird on every single nail and I just decided to not mention anything because she was already upset, I ended up fixing them at home, I’m not happy. This happens every single time I’m there.

Great customer service. Have been coming here for years for pedicures, cant beat the price for everything thats included. Gel coat manicure with gemstones are a little on the pricey side, but Ive never had one break yet. James is amazing, through beautiful work and he is great with kids!

It was okay, their service no longer really matches the price. Used to get really good foot/leg massage with a pedicure now a just some oil and a little rub. I stopped going there for brow wax because they didnt make any effort to shape or contour just slap on some wax and rip it off. I am currently looking for a nail salon that actually values consistant customers. They wernt busy today but still took little time or effort with me. I have been going to this establishment for 18 years hate to see it lose its interest in customers.

So upon walking in, I was greeted very nicely by a man named James. When we sat down and he took his first look at my nails, he asked me why I chose the color I chose and said not to pick that color again. He then started asking me where I got my nails done previously and started laughing and speaking his language (Mandarin, I believe). When he started to remove my acrylic nails with the nail clippers and another false nail, he was really rough and it hurt really badly to the point of me jumping back and pulling my hand away several times. After several painful attempts to get some of the nails off, I had finally asked for him to soak my nails so they would come off easier, which they did. I breathed a sigh of releaf because I thought the pain was over, but oh was I wrong. When James began filing my real nail with the drill, it BURNED!! He even knicked the side of my finger where I had a hangnail making it bleed, and asked me what I did to do that. I had gotten to the point to where I was about to walk out with no nails on at all. but I simply asked for another nail tech to take over. I will not be returning to this nail salon, sadly after going for a year. Even more sad becuase there are so few to choose from in this town. I will now be taking my business elsewhere.UPDATE: Since I am unable to get my nails done due to this mandatory lockdown, all of my nails are now lifting, which was to be expected. What I did not expect was that the nail is so glued on at the end of my real nail that when I try to take off the acryllic, it just rips off MOST of my real nail. I now have four nails that are shorter than the line on my finger where my nail is used to being, and now my undernail that should be covered is exposed and sensitive! I am still dealing with the pain of going to this guy! The nails are very difficult and painful to remove I literally feel like my fingers are throbbing and on fire and like I may pass out when my nails catch on stuff because it is SOOOO PAINFUL!!!

Dont waste your money. I went in for a Mani/pedi, the woman continuously tried to up sell me and I repeatedly asked for just a basic Mani/pedi. Well, she ended up spending about 15 min max for BOTH my hands and feet. My toes literally looked like I painted them....in a hurry. The basic Mani/pedi cost $42, which is pretty standard for a decent job, but this was very poorly done and a complete waste of money.

While it does offer the same services as any other nail salon, I would be recommend not going there. The place smells deeply of chemicals, almost enough to make me want to run outside. The technicians are nice and helpful. They can however, get a little impatient at times. Moreover, they may not listen to instructions on how you want your nails done.

Enjoy going there. They have good prices and do great work. Would recommend this place to everyone

Bad experience. Not worth the money. They said closing is 8, but they made me leave at 7:15 with wet nails. I was there for 30 minutes total for a deluxe Mani/pedi. The brushes and towels were dirty and stained. And the nail tech doing my manicure started my gel nails like I had tips and filed down the tops of my nails... I was also never offered water or anything to drink.

I love this place. Highly trained licenced professionals provide number of beauty services such as waxing, eyelashes extensions, spa pedicures and manicures at very reasonable prices.

They are always friendly and do an absolutely marvelous job at creating art on my nails. Sara is my favorite technician. Tell her Moe sent you.

15 minutes for a pedicure 53 dollars is too much

NEVER again. Had one good experience here. Rest down hill. At their suggestion had jels applied due to thinness of my nails.Returned in two weeks. A gentleman used the power tool that is used for acrylics to remove my jels. Thought maybe new process. He was rough, it burned. Suddenly a woman came over took his place to finish where he left off.. She did a sloppy job of applying new jels.Went to a very professional place here in Ukiah yesterday. Of course no power tools to remove jels. Acetone and foil, taking the time to do it right. When jel removed you could see some of my nail beds are now even thinner. No wonder it burned when I went under lamp at First Nails. Nope, done with this place.Found someone who knows what he is doing, takes pride in his work.

Any nail salon where the bathrooms has a dirty sink,, no toilet seat covers and NO HAND SOAP has got to have health code violations. Do the staff not wash their hands with soap before waiting on customers?? My pedicure was $20 and I added $5.00 scrub but it ended up at &30 and my polish was not a $30 pedicure . WOULD NOT recommend this place.

They charge for every deal treat you like your cattle 10 minutes for a pedicure the people are nice but they are very in-and-out with their customers expensive I usually go to a different nail place and get a 30 minute foot massage and paid less for my pedicure

Ive only been twice and it was the worst experience both times. The nail tech that i got had left bumps in my gel manicure and filled off the bumps instead of removing it with remover. The gel polish was also stuck to my thumb and peeled off within an hour. The time before I got acrylics and they were wavy on the tips. They also charged my moms card twice, then tried a third time, but we got someone who understood english before they could, because the reciept wasnt printing and only 2 people spoke english. They also didnt change the nail water and i could feel the gritty from other peoples cuticles and nails.

I enjoyed my visit here. I got attended right away. Staff was helpful and even suggested a color/style. I usually go to willits first nails becuz i live there but ukiahs First Nails will be my other choice when Im in UKIAH

I will never ever go to this place again. I got a pedi and not to long after that i was in the hospital with an infection in my big toe. That had to be one of the most painful things ive had to experience. They are dirty and re-use their tools and foot scrubers.

I went to go get my nails done for a wedding and the guy that was doing my nails yelled at me and said, “why are you getting your nails done!? Your too young!”

Everytime I go in and tell them what I want, they want to change it. Also, last time I was in there I wanted to change my nails from dark blue to just French tips and they said that it would be too expensive and that it would be difficult for them to do. Never going there again!

Horrible experience!!! Rough, pushy on their additional services and rushed when I told them I dodnt want the delixe service. I have never walked out in the middle of a pedicure. I will never go back!!
