Our original A/C unit gave it up after 21 years of service. Now comes the fun part - Finding a new one. ETR was here in a matter of hours. Jay was very professional and gave us 4 options. We chose Number 2 which fit all of our needs. Took 3 days to get the unit and they were out the next day to install. Seeing as how we are in the COVID Quandary (hard to get anything) I was impressed it only took 3 days. Anyway George, Carlos and Jacob arrived at 8AM On the dot. Now my wife and I had owned a business here in the 90s and our employee were good but these guys were better. Anyway it took them the better part of the day to remove and install our unit. You cant imagine how hot it is in the attic on a 100 degree day. WOW - I just think these men should have a paid day off for what they went through. Thank you ETR

Our home warranty company sent another company out to look at our unit that was not cooling down our house, we were told that the compressor was not working and that we needed an evaporator coil and that the entire heating system and coil was set up incorrectly and would need to be fixed. The other company said that they couldnt do anything today about the compressor because they needed the part and had to coordinate with the home warranty company. I called ETR at 12:30 and they sent out a technician who had cold air pumping into the house in about 15 minutes. We do need to have the coil replaced and have scheduled the work with ETR. The technician who came out was Austin, he is a super friendly guy and took the time to answer all of my questions.

I will revisit this in a bit. Their tech came out promptly, did a bunch of repairs to my 18-year old systems, and the next day it became clear there was still an issue with one of my systems (the other is working well). I have decided to replace the system that is broken. I got quotes from several companies and decided to replace through ETR due to more favorable price and features in their quote. They are also willing to credit me back the cost of repairs just done on the system Im replacing. I will update this review once the system replacement is done. Hopefully things go well and Ill be able to give a good report.

Tyron did an excellent job replacing a blown capacitor in my a/c unit. Only took him about 30 min start to finish and he did a great job. However, the bill came to $220. Capacitors cost $15-25 on Amazon. I was charged $160 to replace mine which took less than 10 min. I understand there needs to be a reasonable labor charge but I also paid $60 for the service call under my maintenance contract. Even so, the 600% markup on parts is outrageous. 50% markup is reasonable. Next time when my a/c compressor won’t start, I will replace the capacitor myself for under $20 before calling for service.

Great experience, we hired ETR to come out and look over our HVAC ideas on what we want o install in our cabins. I did not once feel like I was on a time schedule while the tech was on site. He took the time to listen to our needs and he explained some things that we already did that wasnt going to work to well in the long run! I have experienced a specific error code on my thermostat for the last few weeks. This isn’t the first time. A technician or two prior to this call fixed it and I have not experienced it again until a few weeks ago. I relayed the information regarding the code to the service technician who came to service our unit and found everything to be in working order. He told me if it kept happening to let ETR know and someone would come take a look. The technician took care of it today. I don’t mind paying for a service, but our records show what was done. Why couldn’t that have been done before someone else had to be called? I am grateful for Mr. Kesinger.

Jacob was very courteous and straightforward and professional with his work. He was efficient and knowledgeable. He knew what the problem was and fixed it right away. Reporting my problem online late at night was easy and I received a call first thing the next morning, letting me know when they were going to be able to come that day. Jesus Estrella was the technician that came out to fix my A/C and he did a great job. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and quick to get to work. I would use this company again.

Dylan Wall and Bryar came to my house for routine maintenance. They were very friendly, on time, and really knew what they were doing!! Very knowledgeable and would show me what they did and helped me when I had questions!! Very professional men!

Brian and Carson did a good job. Brian is familiar with both our locations, and always a professional. He took time to discuss problems he encountered, and illustrated his findings. He is a very good representative of the ETR firm.Today, the ETR team replaced a leaking coil in one of our units. They did it in the rain, and were very careful to shield the outdoor unit and to keep their workplace and our home clean. Brian is a very caring gent, and he explains his work very well. Carson is quiet and works well with Brian. I trust and appreciate them.

Called them the Friday before Labor day weekend, because my thermostat had stopped working correctly, causing my system to not run. They came out and checked my system, and replaced my thermostat had everything done by 4 P.M. They saved my family and I from a long, hot Labor day weekend. Will definitely use them again for all my AC/heating issues.

Showed up on time. Answered all my questions and treated me like I was a friend or neighbor. As a single woman I HIGHLY recommend his company. There was a problem with the outside electrical box that was supplying power to the old air conditioner. The septic system was tied into the same box as well as the the fact that the size of the fuses inside were 20 amp and not 30 amp. Mr Thomas said I was very lucky that my house hadnt caught fire. He said he could not install the air conditioner until this was fixed. I couldnt get a hold of my electrician. He contacted one he knew to get it fixed. Mr Thomas said he had several other jobs he needed to get done that day. So, after his installer finished replacing the outside box and hooking up air conditioner, he sent him on to the next job. Mr Thomas stayed to work with the electrician to finish the job and make sure everything was running as it was supposed to.

Dylan Wall is AMAZING!! This was the second time he has done work on my AC and both times he has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! He was very professional, efficient and knowledgable!

The service tech came out in icy, freezing conditions. He quickly assessed and corrected the problem that was keeping my unit from running. Additionally, he took the time to answer all of my many questions regarding heat pumps and smart thermostats. This has been a great company to do business with not only this time, but at any time that I have required their assistance.

Do NOT trust this company ! They overcharged my unit and overcharged me. They took advantage of me . They insisted I needed a new unit . Guess what ? I had another company come out and come to find out ETR had been saying I had a leak and never did! What a scam ! I used them for a few years trusting this company ! Do not make the mistake I did . Do not use this company they LIED to me every time they came out . They took me for a lot of money . If I could rate them a negative 100 I would . Horrible company !

We have ETR perform our Spring HVAC and Fall heating checkups each year. They consistently provide exceptional service. Weve seen 4 or 5 different service techs over the last 7 years and theyve all been conscientious, competent and polite. ETR was amazing to work with. I called them on a Friday night at 6:10pm (after hours) when I got home from work and noticed my house was 80 degree! They had me booked within 5 minutes of me calling and Chad was at my house at 6:45pm! So fast and easy. He knew what the problem was immediately and fixed it quick. He also stayed for few minutes to make sure everything was working correctly. He was really professional and friendly. Also gave me a lot of recommendations and educated me on some things. No surprise charges. Told me upfront how much everything would be. Great company to work with.

We have used the service contract since ETR installed our furnace. Weve had Fire Ants in relays and a capacitor issue that I think was caused by voltage issue during last summer storms. My recommendation is Do your maintenance and save your money before you have a major breakdown.Cory did an excellent job of explaining what needed repair.

On time as usual and ready to work even though it was below freezing (27 degrees). Diagnosed the issue within a few minutes and had parts onboard their trucks. Austin was ahead of schedule and performed the inspection like a professional. He was eager to answer any questions we had and offer advice.

ETR told me we had refrigerant leak in the line where it runs through the foundation, and we required a new line that would run up eave of the house and into the attic. They also strongly suggested an entirely new until since r22 is longer used. We agreed, but after new unit was installed I noticed they just hooked it up to the existing line they said was leaking, then told me it wasn’t leaking! The comfort specialist also lied when I asked for a quote on a particular Trane unit...he said it was discontinued and no longer available. I checked Trane’s website and it is still being produced, I also checked with my neighbor a long time Trane employee and he indicated that unit is available. I sent ETR a certified letter but they refused to sign for it. I sent a letter to ETR’s attorney and received a short letter, another incorrect user manual and a $200 check, and he stated he believed that should take care of my problem!

Technician arrived promptly and fixed my issue (blown capacitor) quickly. Brian was great -- checked to make sure the problem was resolved and gave my big dog a few well-deserved pets.

Preston & Karson were VERY helpful and did everything they could to find the issue with my HVAC. They were both very courteous, answered all my questions, located the problem, located the defective part, and returned the same day to repair the unit. Very reasonable diagnostic fee, and no added charge for the second trip to install the new part. I plan to use ETR the next time I have an issue and for regular maintenance.

We have a Maintenance Contract with ETR Air Conditioning and Heating Company. Cory was the Maintenance Technician sent from Longview to check our unit and ductwork. He arrived on time and was very efficient in checking our unit. He found a part that was not working well and replaced it and then replaced our filters.

Was soooo excited to get my new Nest Thermostat for Christmas... was soooo disappointed when the Nest online installation wizard couldnt tell me which wires went where (I have a heat pump that requires a more complicated installation). Called ETR and Bradley was on the scene in just a few hours. Check all the boxes: 1) received a 30-minute advance notice call, 2) courteous, 3) took time to explain / answer my questions, 4) made sure all the functions were working properly, and 5) only charged me for the amount of time he was here (instead of some over-priced flat-rate service call fee)! Couldnt be happier. Glad to know Tyler has some Nest Pros on hand. Thank you Bradley! Great service! Fair price!!!

A/C died on a hit evening and the initial call in was simple and timely, especially being after hours. The service tech quickly identified the problem and fixed it without any false billing. Ended up with a lot cheaper bill on a 17+ year old unit than I expected.

Tyron was on time, courteous, careful, and extremely knowledgeable of the system. He briefed me thoroughly on what he checked, some safety systems of the HVAC unit, and checked on home safety, i.e. the carbon monoxide alarm. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his willingness to educate me as a homeowner and investor in a TRANE unit.

Ive used East Texas refrigeration now for over 10 years. The service is always spectacular. Ive had them service my old units, and also install new units. Ive never had one bad experience with them. All their techs that Ive ever had come to my house are always very clean-cut and professional. One particular technician always goes above and beyond, and thats Tyron. From the technician to the installers, these guys are great. I got three bids and ETR offered a better unit that fit my specific needs. The installers showed upped on time. Immediately put out covering to protect our floors. Both were very polite and answered all of our questions during the installation process. They did not leave my house until 6:00 PM. They tested the unit, insuring both heat and ac was working properly. Once they left, you could not tell anyone had been there. They left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. 😆Installers went over a very extensive check list with me and instructed me on how to use the new thermostat. I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with ETR and the job they did. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new AC system.Thank you ETR!
