When I called to explain the service I needed, the gentleman taking the call acknowledged my issue. When technician arrived and I repeated what I told the customer service person, he said oh we dont do that! Yet in still I was charged $140 for visit less than 10 minutes!
This company did a very good job. The service technician was very professional and explained what he was doing and why.
The service-man was professional and curious. But said their was nothing wrong with my whirlpool washer which is only three years old. So he he left I put a load of clothes on and sure enough it did not work. I call Sears service back and they told me it would be another week to get a repair person back out. I told th that was not Acceptable that they need to send him back out they said they could not do that because he closed the ticket out. So I was stuck with wet unwashed cloths and Im sure when they figure out what is wrong I will need to wait another week or two for parts.not happy in Tyler,TX
Very pleased with Repairman and service performed
The appliance repairman was very professional and courteous, however they had no solution to repair a relatively minor problem with a Kenmore Pro refrigerator that was only 3 years old. Parts are not available to support (i.e. - they dont make them) this extremely expensive and still relatively new refrigerator. Will never buy Sears/Kenmore again.
He was very nice and polite and seemed to know what he was doing. he stayed focused on his job but was also friendly, too. So far the refrigerator is working fine right now.
The repairman was fine and knew what he was doing. However, trying to get the service has been a nightmare. I purchased a home warranty on May 1 and have made two payments towards that warranty. I have now had to request a 4th service call for the same issue and am told that I will now need to pay the $75 deductible, which is ridiculous! The original call was for a solid ice buildup in the freezer. Because of the pandemic, it took forever for the seal to arrive here, then took an hour to schedule that installation. After that call, the ice was still forming and when the repairman came out, the call was noted as a recall at no charge, but I would have to pay for any parts. So he had to cancel that call and now I have scheduled my 4th call just to get the freezer portion of my refrigerator fixed. Additionally, I have not received my welcome packet for purchasing the home warranty. Could someone please contact me to get this matter straightened out. Your automated system had me initially located somewhere other than Texas in a zip code and area code that I did not recognize. Hopefully this will not be my experience in the future when I need service. I understand the $75 deductible but not on the 4th call for the same service.

I had a refrigerator repaired, and when I called initially I was told there would be a 25% disc as I had a warranty on home systems but not on appliances. The repair person said it would be $400, could find no mention of a disc and said it wasnt their dept that gave discounts. The repair was $459.88, which was higher than the $400 he quoted. I was not given a hard copy of the estimate I was later Emailed the promised copy which was for $459. A call to Sears got me transferred multiple times with everyone saying it was not their dept. I finally spoke with Ally in customer service (I believe) who finally told me I would only be charged $259.88 due to the abysmal manner in which I had been treated. No discount has ever been forthcoming. A call the next day produced more transfers with all departments disclaiming responsibility for any corrections. Today (4/22) I made another call and after a couple more transfers and being told I had the wrong department, I was given an Email to Support Svcs to send an Email and explain the problem. I will do so but I believe I spoke with them before with no satisfaction. I will never buy another Sears product.
Very satisfied with the service provided to repair our dishwasher. The first technician diagnosed the problem accurately and ordered the correct parts. The technicians who showed up to install the parts were competent and very courteous. So far our dishwasher is performing properly. Thanks so much.
The worst. The repair man tried to rip me off for 1300&. He never even looked at it he just said it was the computer. I had the appliance fixed for 25$ They would not refund my 100$ for service call. Sears is coming to a end. Beware.
I was amazed at the speed of the repair! Called one day, serviceman out the next. He had to order a part, but my washer was fixed within a week. Well done, Sears and Steve!UPDATE! A month later the washer stopped working. When I called Sears repair, the rep refused to help me or transfer me to a supervisor. Instead she hung up on me. I paid for this maintenance service, and I expect to be treated like a valued customer.
Bought two mowers there, and a washing machine. Store associates always helpful. Its nice having them close while living in a rural area, less driving & hassle.
I always purchase at home service contract with a new riding lawn mower. Easy scheduling by automated system. Pretty prompt too! Typically low or no cost, for normal maintenance issues.
Tried to schedule a repair. First got some call center at an undisclosed location rather than local. Not the most engaged person Ive encountered. Said there would be an automated phone call when the repair person was on the way. Then said it would be $89 just to look at it, with parts and labor on top. Ill schedule with a local company with better service and prices.
The repair SERVICE was great.The repair service technician was great.The icemaker has had much work done on it in the past and has now been replaced twice.It would be nice if we didnt have such a LONG wait time for repairs to be made on any and all of our appliances that are under a Sears Protection agreement. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Have had 2 service calls and my refrigerator is still not fixed. The repairman did not listen to what was wrong, and basically would not try to fix it. Will NEVER buy another Sears appliance again because of the poor service of their products. Am going to have to get another company to fix my refrigerator.
Dryer is working better than ever. For the first time, 3rd heating element, HIGH setting actually works correctly. He was prompt, fast and we are pleased with his work..
The tech did a great job. First time a tech has cleaned the coils. The air conditioner is sending out cooler air. He also opened the drain. I was very pleased work, his knowledge, his personality and his appearance.
On the third service visit the problem was diagnosed on my 26 year old washer/dryer stacked unit. The last tech came yesterday and the part he ordered arrived today. The installation date for the washer timer was scheduled for 10.30.17 and was changed to tomorrow as was rescheduled for tomorrow as it was the first date available! We are thrilled to have this laundry center repaired until we can find the proper replacement! Thank you Sears Service for standing by your 90 day guarantee on service repairs and not charging me any additional fees to discover the problem and for continuing to try to resolve the problem. While it is an old unit we need to time to decide what to replace it with and will have the time with this repair.
I was given the time frame of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm for the technician to arrive, but was placed on their schedule for the end of the day. Also, my repair was not fixed and this was the second time trying to resolve the problem.
The tech was most gracious. Was here as promised, was thorough and most helpful in discussions of problem.
Repair service man was a 5* for sure! He was professional, quick, easy to work with. However, I rated this low because I had to WAIT TWO WEEKS FOR AN APPOINTMENT! My stove was fixed and I am happy with the service and the technician but the scheduler is a problem. Our scheduled time was to be between 10-12 am and the tech did call but they werent able to come till 5:30 pm. I was waiting the whole day. But the end results were what I was seeking. I felt sorry for the technicians. Long, Long days!

Repair person does not know what he is doing. Between calling different people out to our home m, it has been almost a month to get a repair. Started with small leak, and repair guy broke machine and made it completely unusable. We would have been better off using someone else. I wasted my money purchasing an extended warranty and I will would not ever recommend Sears for any services.
A bit disappointed in the lack of availability of appointment times. Ive had other appliance repairs since moving to this area a few months ago and can normally get an appointment within a couple of days. From the time I called to get the first appointment until the time that I finally got the appliance repaired was a period of about 3 weeks. I will definitely take this experience into consideration when it comes time renew the Sears contract.
First off I did not like the arrival window between 8a-5p. This made it very difficult to plan my day. The service technician arrived at around 9a. He was very professional and provided good advice about managing my mower fuel in the future to keep the mower running. This carburetor is susceptible to fuel issues and must be coddled. The repair of a new carburetor was done quickly and he tested it. I have not had a chance to try the mower out yet but I believe it will be okay.

My lawn tractor needed repairs three different times. The first two times the tech said he fixed the problem; he didnt! The last time I called I wanted Kenneth and told your rep not to send anyone but Kenneth. He came on the 29th and worked on the tractor and got it fixed. I have mowed twice since then and it is still working. He knows what he is doing. If my tractor breaks down (and I hope it doesnt!) I am asking for him, since I can asked who I want to repair my lawn tractor.
Both serves guys were very nice and very professional. The scheduling was terrible. It took a week for the first visit, they order the part, it shows up three days later then its another week before they come back. They sent a refurbished part that didnt work so had to wait another week. Then, on the day the service guys was coming they call and say he is sick. So I got put at the end of the list and had to wait another week for another repairs person. Need to work on the scheduling! Send out parts that work!
Technician ran diagnostic and replaced main board, left without checking the actual operation of my dryer. Dryer still suffered same problem and I am now waiting on Tech to return and do what he should have done to begin with. I have explored and found why the dryer was not working as it should and it had nothing to do with electronics, so I have paid for a main board that I probably do not need. I want the tech to reinstall old main board and prove it was bad or eliminate the need for it.There is no excuse for this kind of thing to happen. Rather than check for proper operation, tech simply says the computer says its okay now and leaves without properly checking for proper operation. I do not care what the computer says. If my dryer still does not work, then he has not done his job which was to repair it.
Everything worked out as designed and if needed will recall them to perform their magic again

The serviceman came in the time-frame when he was expected. Checked the dishwasher. Gave me a report showing that it was operating as it should. He was prompt, precise and didnt leave a mess.

Honestly, they may conduct high-quality repair.My issue was that my washer went out and all I needed to do was set an appointment to get a tech to check it out and repair it. I was quoted $89+parts+labor by the call center guy who answered my call; $89 out of the gate just to show up was a little outside of my budget.My biggest issue is that the call center sales guy kept trying to sell me crap. He even said I shouldnt go for the repair service since it is only a 3 month warranty and would likely break after; so I should use there annual $60+$39/month plan for all of my appliances. If I say no ur first time, that is your hint to stop selling and start scheduling. It was actually hard to get off the phone with an appointment and I almost just hung up instead of scheduling anything.
The experience went very smoothly the tech Brian was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us we are very pleased with the service we received.
We love our Kenmore oven. The technician that came out to service our oven, did a wonderful job and was very helpful.

Lawn mower is still not fixed. Called same day, was told would send the tech back. I called this morning because tech still hasnt shown. Cant get another appointment till June 7th. I will NEVER buy another mower from Sears. I have had more trouble with this mower than all my mowers. I am very very displeased.
Great guy but horrible cost! Freestanding icemaker stopped working. Turns out it was the recirculator. Wanted to charge $200 for the part and more than $300 for labor!! $586 in all! BUT we could cut the bill in half if we commit to a home warranty program for a year costing $600- oh and the ice maker wouldnt be part of it because they break a lot. REALLY? This is blackmail on Sears part and should be illegal.

Showed up on time. 8:00 to 5:00. HahaDid great job replacing parts.Tested job 1st time failed belt came off and got stuck underneath pulley. Fixed it tried to straighten pulley support. Retested OK4 days later tried to mow belt came off pulley reinstalled belt myself. Came off as soon as I engaged drive now really aggravated called sears got runaround from when asked for supervisor finally got one (maybe) not sure I was talking to one acted kind of dumb for a supervisor. Anyway she supposedly scheduled another appointment 8:00 to 5:00 well see . Any other business that makes appointmentsense like that wouldnt be in business very long. And after dealing with sears Ive now stopped purchasing anything from them

The repair man NEVER arrived! We did receive a call from the repair man stating he is not coming to repair our washer for the 5th time, that Mr. Colbert would be in contact with me Monday the 13th of June. No call on the 13th and no call since Tim the repair Tech called me.This is unusual service from Sears, I am disappointed in the treatment I am receiving from Sears about my washer. We have had 2 repair Techs out here 6 times to repair my washer. They have replaced parts and I am still having problems. VERY UNHAPPY with the service from Sears about my washer, and Mr. Colbert is NOT a very good Representative of Sears.
My repairman arrived on time and went through the required tests on my washer and dryer, however I find it disappointing that even though my dryer vent had accumulated lint he didnt vacuum the outside vent like they used to and told me I needed to replace the current venting material with metal venting material.It seems to me that Sears is not interested in providing the service that we used to expect from them in spite of the high cost of their protection plan.Therefore we are considering other service options.Disappointing!

They were supposed to fix my ice maker on the fridge. Now the whole fridge is shot. I have replacement on it, but they are being insanely difficult and cannot seem to scehdule reasonably. 8am to 5pm is when they expect me to be home, and they schedule me for two weeks from now. Zero help.

Repair man tried to convince me that it needed a $567.00 fan unit that he claimed was not covered by the warranty. After speaking to the service center they informed me that piece of equipment was covered by the warranty. Looks to me like someone was trying to scam me out of almost $600.
Altho its under warranty, nothing that was wrong with it was covered.

I paid to have a repair estimate done and they would not provide me with the repair estimate and said I would have to pay the service fee to have someone go out to the house again in order to get the estimate!
