Gary is a very kind person. So companionate and helped ease the stress and sadness over loosing momma. I truly appreciate him.
Very caring and helpful staff. They did a fantastic job with my dad’s service. I would highly recommend.
Everyone at Gary Kelley made going through such an unfortunate time and process much easier to deal with. Everyone there was great, but Tina was truly amazing to work with while making arrangements for my dad (F.S.). They also offer great prices that include great quality for everything they are wiling to help with. I would recommend to anyone.
We used Gary Kelleys Funeral recently when my grandfather pasted. He came highly recommended from some of our family friends. We were incredibly pleased with his services. Mr. Kelly and his staff are incredibly professional, courteous, helpful, and friendly. We were going through a very difficult time, and Mr. Kelley and his staff were there every step of the way to get us through it. If he says hes going to do something, he does it. You can definitely depend on him. His prices were very reasonable. I have already recommended him to several other family and friends and will continue to do so.
Gary Kelley’s truly is such a great company. Unfortunate circumstances to have to use a business but from the moment I contacted them, they got me a same day appointment, and had my mother cremated and ready for pick up within days. I called many places to get prices and Gary Kelley’s was the most affordable by far. Gary handled everything himself and was very empathetic. I highly recommend this business and will use them for any future after life needs. Thank you Gary Kelley for providing Tulsa with an affordable option during the worst time a person can go through.
My husband and I have used Gary Kellys funeral home a few times now. He and his staff are always professional, kind, and loving towards our family. They always take care of the hard details and can guide you through all the difficult questions you may have. I have referred others who have all had an awesome experience. All I can say is Thank you Gary and staff for all that you do for others.
Unfortunately we had to use Gary Kelley twice in a span of five months for my mom and dad. They were very professional and provided empathy upon the passing. They were very easy to work with and easy to get a hold of.
What a travesty. This precious family Chose this service and it was hard to watch as they doubled up our precious cargo with another “rider”, draped a green astro turf over her, and gave her the worst and most disrespectful bumpy ride to their Honda Oddysey Mini Van from the home. The one lone small man that came out would never have been able to handle the carriage with the dignity that our precious friend deserves. Luckily he borrowed a random woman at the house to help him to the car. Don’t use this service. I mean, how would it have been had we not been watching? You get a one star because there’s nothing lower. Which is what we think of your services.Do better. Do so much better.
A person with no respect for families that have gone through a tremendous loss. If you’re looking for someone with sympathy and compassion, go somewhere else. Absolutely disgusting.
This was the coldest, absolute undignified place to ever hold a respectable service for an LOVED one. The people were cold and disrespectful. Don’t waste your time or money. Please give your family member something more deserving and presentable.
Gary Kelley is among the finest Funeral Directors I have, as a pastor, ever worked with. He is sensitive to families and their budgets and is also deeply sensitive to each familys faith tradition. Personally, I have witnessed him sacrifice business resources to help families in need. While in Tulsa, I could recommend no other. My families there agreed. Well done!
My family felt VERY disrespected from Gary the owner the entire length of knowing him. I HIGHLY would suggest not using this man. He has a hateful heart with zero compassion in a time where it is very much needed. This is not a place to use for anyone that you loved in the slightest bit.
AddVantage handled my Uncles funeral and my Fathers cremation, about 6 months apart. It was very difficult for our family losing both so unexpectedly and so close in time. But the arrangements were handled efficiently by AddVantage. We were treated with respect and kindness. We really appreciate their kindness in our time of grief.
I first found this place when my step father passed away unexpectedly and the hospital handed me a phone book and said i needed to make arrangements. I chose them because they were the lowest cost. I had no idea the service I would receive they took care of everything for me and a few years later they helped me again when my father passed and later that year when my mother passed I used them again. They truly were a God send and very helpful. So professional, compassionate and didnt try and profit off my loss. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Back in 2010 I went to AddVantage and talked with Mr. Kelly. We set up a prepaid cremation policy on my father. I was very impressed with Mr. Kellys caring and compassionate attitude, with asking and receiving all information of exactly what we wanted. With everything in place, we moved on till dad went on hospice care. It was so comforting knowing that when he passed in 2014, They picked papa up from out of town within 45 minutes. Now I am faced with my mother and hospice. I called and talked to Mr. Kelly again. We discussed what she wants, where she is, and how to pay. Mr. Kelly knowing our financial situation offered to donate 100$ of his money to make this cremation service available. This IS the least expensive service available in Tulsa. Without AddVantage we couldnt have her last wishes respected. I have highly recommend AddVantage to the director of the home my moms in so she can reffer AddVantage to others in need, and I have recommend AddVantage to many of my friends that are caring for their elderly parents. I will be recommending them to the hospice company when I talk with them tomorrow. You could not find better care for your loved one. Thank you and God bless you Mr. Kelly and staff.
Unfortunately we had to use his services three times in 2019 and twice in Jan 2020. The staff is so nice and clearly walk you thru the process. The last thing you need is to be taken advantage of while grieving. Gary Kelleys service are a fantastic price and we had the ashes back within 1 week for all of our loved ones. They fully explained that OSU medical center takes longer than to get the death info to the medical examiner so the death certificate can take longer. Therefore its not something they can control. Thry showed us the exact type of container our loved ones ashes would come in. Nothing fancy but we could order a fancy urn if we wanted. Highly recommend
Gary is Extremely rude, my young cousins had to bury they’re mother and he would not allow them to view her said he didn’t have time, it was 4 pm they are open tell 7, he treated us like dirt under his shoes, not the way you should treat people when they have lost a loved one, my aunt was buried next to my mother her stuff was destroyed and or missing when I called to make a complaint he was very rude and unprofessional about asking what is he supposed to do after assuring that her stuff was taking care of and there was a picture taken well nothing was put back like it was it was broke and not all there, also all my aunts jewelry was released to the funeral home they are saying they don’t have it, these people are cruel and not good people to let handle your loved ones
Mr Kelley was so super helpful when my dad passed away yesterday morning and my mom insisted on having his funeral immediately. He had everything ready for a 10 am service the next day! Thank you to you and your staff! I loved working with Tina also! Everything meant the world to us! We are so grateful!
Took 4 hours to come for my father when he passed. Ive now waited over a month for the death certificate. When my mother passed they failed to put her ashes in the decorative box selected. Rude people on the phone.Update: they mailed it without confirming address or calling first. After several upset phone calls. This was the worst experience after dealing with 2 already devastating life experiences.
Mr. Kelly stepped in professionally to ensure the service planned for my father was honorable and smooth for the family. He and his staff made all the arrangements and went way over and beyond to ensure that the flowers arrived, the sentiments were placed, the Air Force was present and all the Ts were crossed. I am forever grateful for his stellar service and affordable pricing.
I can believe how dishonest this man is... This man didnt want to pay the transportation cost to Serenity Funerals and made a day that was already sad and upsetting worse. This is the sort version of this story.Serenity Funerals were the ones that were on call and pick my father-in-law up. Advantage was cheaper than Serenity, so I ask them to do the cremation. After it was all setup, I get a call back and he tells me Serenity Funerals wouldnt release my father-in-law because they were wanting payment for the transportation. Then he starts in on how this is illegal for them to charge me and to hold him for payment. If I wait till after the weekend when the Funeral Board is open he would file a complaint and get him release…He told the wrong person this scam… What I heard is that my father-in-law body is being held for ransom! So I called the police and Sgt. McKinsey was the BEST! He helped way beyond the call of duty. After he talked to both funeral homes, the question of the day was Serenity Funerals picked up the body and transported it. They need to be paid for the services they provided. If it is illegal for them to charge me, then who pays. After talking to two other funeral homes, both of them said it’s usually wrapped into the cost of the funeral home that is doing the cremation. Which would be Advantage! So I called Advantage back this whole time I have been talking to Gary. Now he has a cocky attitude and states since I seem to be upset he will just pay the transportation cost. “It’s no biggie I make so much money its nothing to me.” **I paraphrased the quote** but that’s the sum of it. Then I asked, “So, they DO! need to be paid then?” Then he stutters and backpedaled and said “If I would have waited until after the weekend he could have had this handled.” I told him where he could go after that. What he was doing was stiffing Serenity for the transport cost with the legality of they can’t hold the body for payment. Serenity would be forced to transfer the body without payment once the Funeral Board was opened.I called Serenity back and they apologized for the issue and confirmed he was trying to stiff them with the cost. They all so matched Advantage price for all the trouble I had to go through.DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! I recommend Serenity Funerals they were very nice and went out of there way because of this dishonest and crocked person.
Mr Kelley and his staff were so nice and accommodating the service was just as we had hoped. Pastor Chip Bendel conducted the service and did a wonderful job we are very thankful for all the services provided by ADD VANTAGE. I would certainly recommend this funeral home to anyone in need of such service.
If leaving less than one star was an option, I would have selected that. He was pushy with receiving a payment and then discouraged us from viewing my mother after previously setting up a time for a viewing. He did not follow up on his word on many accountants and to make matters worse he threw out my mothers jewelry. He has yet to personally respond, take responsibility, or apologize to myself or my family. His word vs. both the medical examiner and the transport company, he still insists he never had my mothers jewelry. He has devastated many hearts and is still in denial over the situation. I would never recommend anyone use this company.
I am a hospice nurse and this review is from that perspective. I have had to deal with Gary Kelli’s funeral home multiple times and every single time I dread even calling them. When I call them I feel as though I am bothering him. Every time on the phone he’s very rude and short with me. They do not come out and pick up their own Deceased. Hey send a third-party to do that and this third-party is notorious for hiring drug attic’s. They walk in very sloppy and many times I have witnessed him not even address the family. When dealing with Gary Kelli personally He has told me off and cursed at me. I’ve never witnessed such an unprofessional funeral home and I have dealt with multiple dozens Over the years and Hospice. Unless you know this man personally or you already have a agreement with him I would reconsider. Because if he treats the staff of a hospice this way who has loved and cared for these people and who are also grieving at the same time the family is of the loss of this patient moments after their death. He will treat you and your family the same way. Please note that this review came after multiple dealings with Gary Kelli funeral home and advantage cremation. This is not a one time occurrence. For I have overlooked this multiple times.
From the moment we called we were treated with kindness- Gary helped make a difficult process so much easier. Their prices were less that the large mortuaries, but we did not receive cut rate service- in fact we could not have worked with a better company. He was patient and his communication did not have any pushy sales. I would recommend AddVantage to anyone.
I would give AddVantage 10 stars if possible. My experience with Mr. Kelly was beyond anything I expected. He was kind and helpful and made a very stressful time much more bearable. I am so glad hospice recommended him. Being from out of state I didn’t know where to turn. Money was an issue for us and he was thousands less than another quote I had received. I would like to thank him again for helping us and going above and beyond to make things a little easier for us in our time of grief. Thank you AddVantage...
Great place great customer service wonderful with the family and awesome
They took care of two funeral for me and they did a great job made things so easy and very friendly for my family thank you so much
He is such a kind and gentle man. I agree that he is not pushy with sales.
Her make up was not aceptible.Ok, just her eyebrows they did them so black and they layed it on thick.she looked like Burt from sesame Street. I asked if I could fix it before everyone saw her and was rudely told no and looked at like a freak for asking. After everyone left they started to close the casket and I asked to do it then.i was told again, No I told them I dont care what you guys say Im fixing it. I had make up remover wipe an just wanted to rub some off her.they must put that make up on with crazy glue, cause it wouldnt rub off. 😨I had to try. Or I would of lost many nights of sleep regretting not trying.she was funny about her eyebrows always paying to get them done.i just wanted to make her not look like a clown. I have buried a total of six of my children now. None of the others make up looked like that. They are probably nice people, but it was standing room only and they didnt even save me a seat in front with the family.i had to watch it I the waiting room on a TV. Thank God for that.someone needs to talk to whoever does make up or someone else at least check the make up.i mean those eyebrows were ridiculous.🤐🙂
My mother passed away on 2-06-2014. Sandra savor. Im very pleased with the quality and compassionate everyone is. I want to really say thank you very much. Laura vanslyke
Advantage Funeral and Cremation Gary Kelley was kind gentle understanding patient he wasnt pushy he didnt rush he took time to explain and answer any questions that we had he was very attentive to what we wanted he cared how we felt and after our appointment we knew our Mother would be taken care of I’d recommend Advantage Funeral Services their not overly expensive they have plans to fit budgets and still give your Loved One Great Care...ThankYou Advantage Funeral Staff for helping us during our loss of our Mother
It has taken me a while to decide whether or not to write this review, but I guess if I am still bothered by the treatment and services my family received what is now four years ago then I have to. Maybe I can save someone else the upset and bitter memories.I wont waste your time with a long narrative, but know that I was made to feel like crap: made to feel like crap because we did not have much money, made to feel like crap about my fathers own wishes (they werent what Gary thought was fitting, as though it was his place to countermand the wishes of the deceased), made to feel like crap because I was being responsible to my father and our finances, which Gary made clear he took to be me being a disengaged punk (which was very incorrect and very inappropriate)Due to my younger age (still an adult at 23, but to be treated like a child by Gary) they first tried to manipulate me, and then when I wouldnt budge they starting treating me just poorly - I was made to feel like crap at every turn. It was clear Gary could not care less about what I was saying, even for the most simple requests. He ignored things we asked for, tried to force on us things we didnt, and the whole time had the most smug and self-righteous carry you can imagine on a person - it was almost a caricature. Soon thereafter, when my uncle and grandmother arrived, Gary decided that he had enough of me and tried to get my uncle to see reason saying that I didnt care (which was baldly false) and that we could still do more for his dear brother. When my uncle assured him that what I has said was in keeping with my fathers wishes, Gary became done with us all and closed the discussion. We were given a corpse that still have blood and fluids on it. It was disrespectful profiteering. My grandmother, to this day, cries every time she talks about how poorly we -and her fallen son- were treated, my uncle gets angry.Aside: I know this home gets, or at least got, a lot of business because it did good by police officers and families - we got the recommendation from within TPD. Mine is a four generation sworn police family, down to my mother; my father, though a civilian, worked for TPD for over a decade. They did not do good by us. This place only cares about money, only money, and the friend of the police angle is only that to them. Dont fall for it.
This funeral home was suggested to us by the social worker for the hospice we used for my dad. We were given their name because they are one of the cheapest in cremation services in Tulsa. When we called we were given exact numbers with no hidden fees. I called one other funeral home and they wanted to price match Addvantages price by $5.00. They had me talk to a director who quoted me a price $60 more than what the secretary had told me. I chose Addvantage because they seemed more honest just from the first initial call.Gary the funeral director sat down with me and filled out the necessary paperwork. When he learned I was a healthcare worker(RN) he gave me a $100 discount on our services. We also received one free death certificate because my dad was a veteran. Not sure if the others do this but I thought it was very nice. All we used this funeral home for was cremation. I have no idea how an actual funeral service would be handled here. I did find that Gary was not pushy and didnt try to sell me an elaborate box to place my dad in. (we plan on putting his ashes with my mothers). The only negative is I found the actual building to be smokey. Obviously, they allow smoking in the facility or have smoked in the facility in the past. I would have had a hard time with allergies had I needed to spend any length of time in the building.
Very nice and helpful in our time of loss.
Very friendly people who show compassion in a sad circumstance
Amazing
