I recently had my oil changed and the DEF system filled up and other fluids topped off. My heater core hoses were leaking and they never mentioned it. I left for Dallas and the heater core went out when I got there. The service guy here, Joshua, says they have no responsibility with this issue. Also the warranty just went out on 5/6 and they didn’t even attempt to get it approved. Won’t do business with this dealership again. It’s unfortunate as this is the best Mpg vehicle I’ve owned.

We drove all the way from Colorado to pickup our brand new Tiguan from this dealership and Sher had everything all taken care of when we arrived. Sher was so wonderful to deal with over the phone and via email too, which is where we handled all of the business involved in the purchase. She was beyond professional, kind and provided the most prompt service Ive ever experienced when buying a car. And this was the 13th car that Ive purchased from a dealership. The rest of the staff that I dealt with in my 15 minutes at the dealership were wonderful and very informative, as well. Especially Brian in finance. I even had to make a call to him a few days later regarding my vehicle financing. He continued to provide quick and friendly service several days after the purchase. You really want to buy your car from these folks. Top notch staff, top notch dealership all around!
Terrible customer service. Can’t ever speak with anyone when trying to call the store. Terrible communications skills, took 8 days to get a check when I was told 2 days Max. I had to actually call several times because no body would call me back when I was told so, and the last phone call I had to be mean and nasty to get my point across. Then all the sudden, oh we’ve got your money, you can come get it now! Still currently trying to get information on my title, and where’s it is. I absolutely do not recommend any Don Carlton dealerships. It’s what to be expected from a big dealership I guess.
Can’t say enough great things about Sher, she met me with the vehicle and allowed me to look over in a low pressure environment. Once deciding to trade my vehicle it was quick and painless. Everyone in the building was nice. They even offered to deliver the truck to me. Will absolutely go back.

I received such horrible service from this dealership. The day after I bought my vehicle the check engine light came on. The sales representative, Zachary Brown, all but blew me off when I contacted him about the issue. He made zero effort to help and told me I should call the service department on Monday. After getting my car serviced they said I needed a new part. They didn’t have it and it had to be ordered. Due to covid they said it could be close to three months. It has been almost a year and not one time did they call me to check in to let me know if the part was in. Just recently, in one of my many phone calls, did they finally say the part was in. Very poor customer communication and zero help from the sales representative after the sale was made. Very disappointed.

The buying experience was fine, mostly because I already knew exactly what I wanted. If you need any follow up help don’t expect it. I have had questions and have left multiple messages for the finance department with no call back and it’s been two weeks, now I have to go back to the dealership. That would be my only complaint. If there was another dealership choice I would have shopped around and did more research for better customer service.
I am actually Harrys wife Marilyn. We just purchased an SUV. Bolt was our sales representative. We had a wonderful experience with him. He was helpful and efficient and he didnt apply any pressure to buy. He was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to buy a VW. He definitely gets a 5 star rating. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only concern was some of the staff didnt wear masks and were walking around the dealership. I will have to say that it really surprised me to see that. My husband and I are in a high risk category and the Covid virus is still running rampant and easily spread. That is the one thing that detracted from my overall experience. It seemed very disrespectful of our safety.

I went to Don Carlton with the intent of purchasing a car that was listed online for a certain price. We made it clear we wanted the car and when the price came back it was higher than the advertised price on their own website. I showed them the website and they claimed that the vehicle price increased due to the wheels, the door guards and the tinted windows. All of which were in the photo posted online. When the manager was called to discuss he interrupted me, was rude and condescending. Called the service department on my volkswagen jetta tdi. they informed me that it was still under warranty. after dropping of the car i received a call back that they need to fix some stuff before they could honor the warranty. initial problem was diesel particulate filter was clogged. they have a way to clean or clear it. to my surprise they informed warranty could not be honored before they fixed an oil leak and a broken boot pipe. when i declined them to fix the oil leak and the replace the pipe they charged $128.00 diagnosis fee. i left with my clogged filter and $128.00 poor. will not recommend them. service department is not honest.
My wife and I recently purchased a 2021 VW Cross Sport and we love the car. It was perfect for us, But, even better was our experience with the purchase of our Atlas. Shar was our Sales Rep and she is fantastic. she was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We looked at several vehicles until she found us a perfect match... Shar is the best!
They do good work in service and got my car back fast. But I was not told my car would be run through an automatic car wash and now the paint on my whole car is swirled and needs paint correction. I had just had my car buffed so this is very frustrating that I am going to have to pay to have my car redone again 2 weeks later for the same thing. When I called they just apologized and told me they’d put me on a no wash list but that doesn’t help the fact that my car currently looks terrible. If I was you, I would ask them not to wash your car especially if it is black.

This is my first VW purchase. Since I do not live in Tulsa. I checked other VW dealerships within 150 miles. Visited Don Thornton VW several times. Very professional people who answered all of my questions thoroughly including the service guys with who I was impressed. Bolt was my sales person he was incredible! It is the first time in many years that I actually enjoyed the sales process! I have returned twice for warranty things which were not significant. But what was significant is how I have been treated after the sale. The treatment has been awesome! Bolt has kept his word on every promise that he made and is an absolutely pleasant individual and the service guys deserve a kudos also! Everybody there drives VWs they know the automobiles and like them, that should say it all. One last thing, my son went through the sales process with me. And he told me as soon as he is ready to buy a car. Hes coming to see Bolt and the Don Thornton crew.

On October 3 I came looking for a SUV I saw advertised. I was immediately greeted by Sharlin Kyles “Sheri”. She located the SUV grab the keys and we went for a test drive. I had already been approved by my credit union and was able to walk out the door with keys in hand less than two hours. Last Saturday, I noticed the brakes squeaking; I texted Sheri to let her know. She texted me the following day; she shared let me speak to my manager. Later that evening I received text that said bring it back so the Service Department could look at it. I brought it in and was informed that the pads and rotors were bad and they would replace both at no charge!! Sold me a civic with a bent wheel well so the tire leaks (super fun waking up to a flat on a cold busy morning) over charged me, then took my cash and wouldn’t give my car to me - it spent over a week “getting detailed” management and sales people don’t communicate with customers once they hand over their hard earned money. I regret buying from them 10/10 -sell damaged cars without letting the customer know

Doug in the service department is Absolutely horrible !!!! Brought my sons car in that had a warranty on the timing issues with these cars (Golf GTI), still paid $1800 for something that was supposed to be covered by warranty due to a LAWSUIT against Volkswagen for this issue, everything done to the car was based on this issue but STILL had to pay !!! The car was ready on Thursday but they said it wasn’t, they were doing “paperwork” literally ALL DAY Friday, called us 30 minutes before they closed and said we could come get it, we got there there were closed, went back the next day they were NOT there, not even the decency to leave the keys with the desk, which by the way that lady got rude with my son stating “I only work on Saturdays so that’s not my problem” what a way to represent your company, as such a high standard company I am SHOCKED by the way we were treated and taken advantage of. The guys that actually work on the cars are amazing at what they do, and honest.... unlike Doug. NEVER AGAIN !

As an out of state buyer who would have to drive over 600 miles to pick up the vehicle, it was absolutely critical that the staff at Don Thornton Volkswagen had the utmost honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. Luckily, i was able to work with the staff over the phone to work out a deal, which the fully honored with no changes to prices, forced dealer add-ons, or any other unwelcome surprises. Joshua always has good customer service, but if you have an actual issue with your car, dont bother going here. Save yourself the time and money, and go to Volks Auto Repair instead. I had to go here three times in the span of a week because they kept getting the issue wrong, or finding new issues. Ended up having to give me a loaner on a Monday, and didnt hear back from them until Wednesday on what the issue was. I ended up taking it to Volks, and Tommy had it repaired quickly and at a cheaper price than VW had quoted me.
Great service!!! I took my car to get the oil changed which came with a free car wash and interior detail. I do not recommend letting them wash your car, they stripped 3 inches of paint off of bumper while washing it somehow. The Service manager made sure they got my bumper completely repainted with a life time paint warranty and really cleaned my car inside and out. Also they gave me a brand new rental car while it was being painted. All of that cost me nothing. My passat actually looks better then when I first bought it. Thank you John and Curtis for the great service.
UPDATE: Doss in the Service Department deserves recognition; he alone inspected my tint and agreed it was a poor job (and also recommended I go to Alta Mere across the street), initiated the refund check process, and kept me apprised of the steps. He was the only one who seemed to care about the customer experience, and hes the only reason Im changing this to three stars. Thank you, Doss.I had my new vehicles windows tinted here ($349) after my purchase. They initially kept the car until it was tinted. Between 24-48 hours after receiving the vehicle back, I noticed there were scratches and several noticeable bubbles in the tint. I called my salesman and told him I wanted it inspected. I drove the vehicle back to the dealership (I had my co-worker look it over too to ensure I wasnt over-reacting and follow me), where the shop manager (I dont remember his name) and my salesman, Zach, both looked it over. The shop manager agreed to have the the tint replaced. In the meantime, I was given a loaner vehicle.A day later, Zach calls and says they found that my drivers side window had a scratch in the glass and that they had already ordered the replacement. He said they had replaced the tint two or three times before discovering the scratch. Two days later, I received another call from Zach stating that the passenger side glass also had a blemish in it and that they had already ordered the glass and were going to replace it Monday, then re-tint the whole car.Monday comes and I receive a call to pickup my car from Doss in the service department. We (the same co-worker and I) drove back over there and picked up my car. Doss assured me that the bubbles I saw would disappear with time, so we left after a brief inspection.Its now been over a week and two days, and while the tint on the driver and passenger doors look good, the rear door windows look worse than the initial tint job, particularly the left rear door window; there are numerous bubbles and lines in the tint. I am certain that the back window tint was never replaced. It has the same imperfections.For $349, the tint should be perfect, especially after so many attempts to get the job done correctly. They had my car for about a week or so total. It feels like my complaints were half-heard and unimportant.
I came in on May 7th had a problem diagnosed was told to come back on the 8th and it would be fixed cheetahs and the car is not fixed and they keep telling me that it is Im not a very happy customer and if you would like to get a hold of me to rectify this problem Ill be glad to give you a higher rating Ive been coming to Don Thornton Volkswagen for about 6 months and Ive had an excellent experience then all of a sudden I have a bad experience and would like to get it rectified once we get it rectified Ill be glad to give you a higher rating if we cant get it rectified then I will have to stop coming to your shop and go elsewhere have a nice day Warren Hinkle.
This is a pretty good place to buy a car. I bought a new Bug. The staff was really nice and squeezed them on the price until they squealed. And they were very nice and professional the whole time I twisted their arms. I got a good deal. Thanks Cindy

This place is excellent and I would take all my vehicles there if I could. They have quick service and make you feel comfortable in their waiting room. There are 2 guys that work here that I think are exceptional and are always a joy to chat with. They always look out for me and my Toureg. I highly recommend this VW dealership.

Buying a car online can be a stressful experience. Trusting a dealership and salesperson from over 800 miles away can be trying on the nerves. However, from her first email response, Fabiola went above and beyond the call of duty when assisting me in making a decision -- dare I say, Fabiola was Fabulous! She provided me with photos as well as video evidence of the used vehicle I was looking at which, coupled with the Carfax report, provided the assurances I needed to make a distant-deal. She was always quick to respond to emails and texts with answers to my questions. The dealership and management was just as responsive. Manager, Corey Haas made sure any issues discovered were taken care of and provided pick up service at the airport.
