There is literally no parking spots after 6pm and the walls are no where near sound proof. I have lived in mission Sierra 2 for about 2 years and mission Sierra 1 for 5+ years. We had tarantulas outside our door for both complexes. The spieces are called Arizona Blonde. They are considered harmless but it gave me quite a scare today seeing this.
Hell on Earth. Slow or no maintenance. Reported low water pressure in November, they came in Feburary. They lie and say that the construction will take a few weeks. Program people there. Grounds beseeched by dog urine. Trash everywhere. Roaches, drug dealers, crazy people who vandalize your vehicle.
This place is very reasonably priced, and the grounds are well kept. The only point they could improve on is communication with tenants. Otherwise an overall great place!
First of all, these apartments have absolutely no noise insulation. You can hear your neighbors do everything... and I do mean everything. Second, the maintenance team is incredibly slow, I had an emergency work order put in and I was assured would be completed within 72 hrs, it actually took over a week. The one other work order I put in to replace the range fan has been in for over twp months and has never been fixed, despite me going to the office to remind them about it. A while back the pool motor broke and it took over three and a half months for them to fix it. Third, the community here just is not a good one for a person who respects themselves, or who wants to feel safe at home. I cant count the number of times I have seen the police arresting people here, and I have only been here nine months. Furthermore, most of the people here have absolutely no problem throwing their trash on the ground, or onto my porch. Cleaning up my neighbors trash got old really quick. Drug use is also a serious problem here, while I expected to smell some marijuana now and again, people here smoke it all the time and everywhere... On the porch, in the pool, outside the laundry room, everywhere. I have even seen one of my neighbors shooting up heroin in his car in the parking lot. Definitely not the type of place I would want to be raising a family if I had kids. While it may seem I am being a little excessive in this review, I am not. It really is this bad, as the other reviews show, and people deserve a fair warning before they sign a lease here. This is the warning that I wish I had gotten before I moved in.
Good apartments
I advise anyone looking to get an apartment here do not I repeat do not. The staff is never in the office if they are they do absolutely nothing no offense to Nancy and Dolissa they were one of the few that were great, Mari pretends to be a sweet person but shes a snake in the grass. I lived there nearly 2 years the first few months were great then after that it went completely downhill, I had an infestation of german cockroaches and mice in my apartment which was totally and utterly disgusting especially when your sleeping and get woken up because theyre crawling on you. Finally after many complaints they finally decide to send pest control to spray my apartment which took like 5 times before I didnt see anything. Maintenance takes their time when it comes to fixing anything. They try and charge you for everything and I mean everything they dont even try to help you if your having financial difficulty. Overall my first time living in an apartment was not a good experience at all.
TO ALL THE FUTURE RESIDENTS LOOKING FOR APTS. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE MAKING YOUR DECISION! THIS IS A WARNING!I’d leave no star, but I have to, in order for me to leave a review. So I use to live in Mission Sierra I, about 4 years ago and it wasn’t a bad experience at all, I actually loved my old apt and I never had any issues with anything ? I mean I had one grumpy neighbor but he still kept to himself. Other than that no issues what so ever. I left that apt and moved away, I came back, and I honestly didn’t want to deal with any other apt because Mission Sierra was so good to me the first time. So initially I came back and was hoping for the same experience, but man o man!!! Was I in for a bitter treat ! They apparently got new management and bought over Mission Sierra II, who at the time was Portofino Apts. Back when it was Portofino I heard of the horror stories there and said I would never live there. So when we got the apt we thought that we were gonna be at Mission Sierra I, they gave us the keys and we we’re ready to move in. They told us the apt number and everything but never told us that it was going to be at the new location(Mission Sierra II). So they take us to this apt complex and from the first glance, this place looked like a comfortable prison, if you can imagine that. They just dropped us oof here and basically left us to find the apt ourselves. So we’re walking around looking for the apt, and as we walk around we see that there was no landscaping at all here, and the grass was dead, beyond dead. It just wasn’t appealing to the eye. So we’re walking up to the apt, and mind you, we really wanna keep a positive look on things. But from the second we opened that door it was just issues left and right. The apt had such an off putting smell, I can’t even describe it. The apt looked clean but the more and more we walked it the scarier it got. From the walls having scuffs, hair, and stains, to pieces of the popcorn ceiling coming off in the middle room closet, and the master bedroom ceiling. The window seals were dirty and it honestly looked as if they just painted over everything to make it look clean. The windows didn’t have security stoppers. We started looking more and more still trying to see the bright side of things but it felt like the dark cloud just kept getting bigger and bigger. Our water pressure in the bathroom was horrible and the shower/tub had mold coming from underneath the caulking. We brought it up to the offices attention but as always they don’t communicate or they just say no one ever put in an order for that. I had to fix most of the things in this apt. It felt like we had moved into a Silverbell Inn room, and if your from Tucson you know what that place used to be. Yikes! Now it’s Hotel Mc.Coy. Anyways back to this horror story. So we had signed a 12 month lease and we felt like the biggest idiots ever . We were thinking what did we get ourselves into ! We stuck it out and said we would finish out the contract because we’re not about to cry over spilled milk. We really wanted to like this place because of my experience the first time but it just felt like it was one thing after the other. The staff is extremely rude, maintenance takes ages even for the most minut things. The residents are 50/50 some that you’ll love and some that you’ll just flat out be disgusted with. We didn’t have any issues with pest when we had first moved in, but now we’re here getting down to our last months, and new people moving in and out everyday and we ran into the problem of German roaches. Now those aren’t common at all, someone brought those with them & now they are overrunning the apt complex. We’ve been dealing with that for about 2 months already & all the front desk is doing about it, is nothing ? If we don’t threaten with corporate they won’t ever get to anything. This isn’t my way of going about things but people just don’t know how to act and you can only bite your tongue for so long before it starts bleeding. So to all, looking for a place to call home, this isn’t it! Sorry.
Great place to live. Maintenace keep to themselves and is a dog friendly community
Expensive.. no security( and when present they only stand in the front near office jo job done) got my car stolen from this place and my wifes sister car as well.. dont recommend at all! Smells like weed all the time!
Ok... where do I begin. The apartments themselves would fool anyone coming on to the property to believe theyre really well kept. Well theyre not!! At first me and my bf tried to be optomistic and like our 3 bedroom apt. But soon the problems came and fast! the garbage disposal smelled like a dead animal and it took months for the NEW and umm Improved managment to fix it. Nope by our 4th month trying to ask the management to help fix our 11 problem list!... 11 PROBLEMS!!! LONG LIST! and nothing fixed. Just 2 half a#%ed jobs done to our disposal and ventalation. We have a freakin hole! Right on our patio! Heading right thru the floor and were on the 2nd floor level. Mold everywhere! Spackled holes that were half a#@ed. Paint chipping. A hole in our living room closet that has mold inside of it. The list goes on... and last but not least. The managment! Lol the worst Ive incountered in a long time. Two of the worst landlords in history. Rude, loud, not smart, money hungry, will argue with you for any reason, oh yea and these two horrible women up in the front office would rather paint their office make renivations to their office and spend our! Money To make their office nicer while we live in a crappy apartment! I can honestly say we hated our stay here at beautiful Porto Fino apartments... we will never come back and I honestly feel as someone who wants the best for her family. I can honestly say DO NOT SIGN THE LEASE! PLEASE DONT DO NOT SIGN. Thank you for your time.
There fixing them up looking nice
Great apartment complex
Great place to live
It takes a really long time to get things fixed here
These apartments reminded me of the ghetto apartments in the hood! Not to mention the management!!!
These apartments are horrible the management does not do anything to fix the problems that we have around the second floor there is a hole in the patio you can see the bottom we can see the ground the garbage disposals dont work half the time it is a real pain in the you-know-what dealing with it has been horrible I would not recommend it to my worst enemy
