Found a cute bonded pair (brother-sister) of tabby kittens on their website. I couldnt believe no one had adopted them yet. So I headed to the shelter immediately. It was busy, but I was treated timely and in order of arrival. The adoption was quick and easy. The kittens were semi-feral, not wanting to be petted or picked up, but after 2 1/2 months of patient training, theyre doing great! Theyre both walking on leashes now. Im very happy with the kittens and the adoption process.

I had to take my dog to PACC and put her in the foster program because I have no home. Kristina Hurlbert has been amazing and helpful and found Sammy a good foster home. Unfortunately, I still dont have a home and lost the means to get one. Ive given up hope on ever being reunited with my pet and on life without her.😭 Thanks for everything Kristina and please find Sammy a good permanent home.

We just brought home our new family member. We could not have done it without the help of Megan. We have gone back many times over the past year, but we are a special needs family. Her full disclosure allowed us to make a knowledgeable decision. This visit she had two pups for us to meet. They were both amazing. Sweet, loving and gentle! Both were a perfect fit. 🥰 We chose this beauty and she has settled in nicely. I could not thank Megan enough for helping us find the perfect fit for our family!

We adopted a cat a few days ago from PACC. The staff was very friendly and quick processing our adoption. They were knowledgeable and friendly when answering our questions. The adoption fee was very inexpensive--$50 for a 2 month old kitten who has already received first vaccines/exam and spay. The animals were well taken care of. Definitely recommend them to adopt a pet!

Everyone was very friendly & unlike some of the experiences I have had with shelters/adoption events, it seemed like the employees actually WANTED me to take home a dog. (Go figure!) Coming from the west & east coasts, all I can say is what a great facility. The employees and volunteers greet you with similes throughout the impressive facilities. The website is extensive and up-to-date. My only concern is due to Covid you have to setup an appointment...which you think would be easy but the link is confusingly place. Furthermore, you have to put in a request to see an animal for adoption. This process takes only a minute but you will have to wait 24-48 hours for a response. This delay is how the animal that I wanted got away 😪...albeit adopted to anotherfamily. 😌Ultimately this is a great service to the community to save lives of fur babies and help people share animals with each other. Come take a look and see if you can save a life. Also, ask questions to make sure you are the best animal owner you can be...they will help you through the process.

This place needs better management! We tried adopting a dog here for a good while. Because of Covid protocols you have to make an appointment, select from a menu the animals you want to see and only 2 people couple be with your party. For these reasons I was no able to adopt a dog for my family. I tried making an appointment last summer online and was told I didnt select the dogs i wanted see. I want to see all available dogs. Also we have a family of 4. We wanted to make the selection as a family. Not just half of it. I see on the news this place has too many animals. I wonder why!!

This is the 4th time the same dog has attacked w/o provocation. Very disappointed in PACC. This has to do with the animal control side of PACC, They have been out on a previous attack and action then I guess as there was no blood. I at least have pictures this time.

Overall I feel positively about PACC. They have really impressive facilities and have a lot of programs that are fantastic for animal welfare. My main criticism is that the cat foster process is confusing and that there is a big lack of communication throughout. Generally when I walk into the cat area, whether I have an appointment or not, it seems like most of the employees avoid eye contact and are trying their best not to talk to me. I have to (sometimes literally) chase someone down or poke my head into the offices to get someone to help me. Neither foster coordinator has ever responded to my texts or calls. Once, when trying to foster a cat with medical needs, I was directed to an office where I was then rudely told to leave and something to the effect of “this is the old foster office, go to the new one.” Once in the new office, they told me that none of their current cats would be a good fit for me, but that a diabetic cat would be available for foster in the next few days. Despite reaching out multiple times, no one ever followed up and I don’t know what happened to that diabetic cat. My most recent foster was a medical foster. I was given directions to give him some medications daily, and was told conflicting things about whether he needed a surgery. I expected that someone would follow up regarding the surgery, but that never happened. When I needed to bring him back, there were no appointments at all on the provided calendar (as in,‘ zero appointments slots were entered into the calendar) and every number on the foster info sheet went straight to voicemail. I even called a non-foster employee whose number I happened to have from before, and that went straight to voicemail too. When I went to return him, again no one spoke to me despite me standing there with a cat in a carrier. Probably 4 employees made eye contact and ignored me. I could’ve easily been a random person off the street ready to dump a cat in the shelter and walk off. When I finally got ahold of someone, it turned out that there was no one there who was authorized or knew how to return a foster cat and it seemed like we were lucky that there was even room to take him in. They referred to it as an emergency return, when in fact it wouldn’t have been an emergency if anyone had answered their phones. I understand that this is hard and important work, but I regret that I can’t foster for PACC anymore because of how unpleasant the process has been. I’m not even sure if I’ve done a good deed by fostering because of the lack of clarity regarding the cats’ medical needs.

I was the only one in line and it wasn’t busy at the time I went. I continued waiting behind the sign (as instructed) trying to figure out if it was okay to go on ahead. Eventually I walked to the second desk where the second receptionist ignored me as well. The man at the pet supply shop (not apart of PACC) saw me struggling to get someones attention so he kindly instructed me where to go.The staff members in the cat area were no better.. Hello people. I speak for a wonderful dog I adopted within this past week. He was taken in to PACC as a stray and as such, afraid of people and cannot be touched. He was still intact when we agreed to adopt. The PACC graciously did his neuter for free... Only problem was he, being afraid of people, was subsequently manhandled, put under, and then woke with a cone around his head and uncomfortable from surgery. He was given to us in this state... In the process of getting him home he opened up his wound. After bleeding for a few days he finally starting to heal physically and slowly even emotionally after much patience. If I could go back in time I would ask that we have the dog for the time it would take him to become comfortable with people before letting him get fixed. At the moment he is still so traumatized from the whole process that It will take quite awhile for him to trust and love us. My advice to all (especially the PACC) is to consider these facts before adopting an emotionally troubled dog.
