I have always had really good service with Bobs,,they are very honest about what needs to be done to your vehicle and not feed you a bunch of extra costs that dont need to be done. I have been doing business with them for at least 5 years or more and will continue to. The bigger the business is not always the best option..take time to talk to them about your vehicle concerns and give them a chance to see if they can help you. You may be surprised at what you learn through their conversations and knowledge. An auto repair shop that doesnt take advantage of women or people without auto repair knowledge.

This place is awesome. They are fast and yet thorough. Most of all and best of all they are honest. When Bob called he told me the price of the job. Which was fine. It was waaaaay lower than we all had expected. Then he called back and said the totaled was wrong. It was actually LOWER than what he told me. I about fell over. He could have never told me and I would have never known. That has made me a Bobs customer for life. That kind of honesty in todays business world is rare. Keep up the good work guys. You gained a new and loyal customer!

These guys got me in the shop two days after I called and let me use my own parts, and the labor was $50-$100 cheaper than other places that I called. They were also able to get/make me new hoses because my original hoses wouldnt fit on the new radiator they were installing. On top of that they are some of the friendliest mechanics Ive met. They did a great job and Im very pleased.

Had clutch replaced in my Kia. Got it back and another issue had accured that caused the replacement of clutch. Brought it back and Bob looked into the issue, and explained and showed me the issue he discovered. Drives and shifts great, just like when I first bought the car. Treated good by his dad that works in the office. Great job to those involved. Bob called me before he did any major work on my Kia, and upfront on possible costs. Little expensive, but worth it. He gave me a good price compared to other shops. At least Im excited to drive it again, and not looking at it broke in my drive way. Thanks fellas.

I came in to Troy Ohio for an intense 2 week seminar at the Hobart Institute and wanted to have my knocking tie-rod fixed being that I was so far from home. I asked them if they would do it, brought the parts myself (which they were cool with), and dropped it off one day before class. Half way through the day I was told it was the front bearings and it would be $100-95 for the labor and parts. Price sounded good, so I said go ahead. I went to pick it up after class and it was actually $208 after tax (my mistake they must have meant 100 AND 95 dollars). The owner said how he gave me a great deal by rounding up the time involved for repair instead of charging me for the grease (which is bull when labor is $75/hr., he rounded up 1/2hr, and grease only costs 2 bucks a can with grease let over) I didnt like it, but at least it was fixed, I guess. Kinda sucked because I did this job at home before and instead of 2 hours it took me 45 minutes, being a novice. I returned the parts I had brought and drove back to my hotel.NOPE, wasnt fixed. Still had the same exact problem (which seemed funny the bearings were diagnosed because I never heard any grinding). A couple days later when I could get away from studying to get in, the owners father and the mechanic that worked on the vehicle were the only two in the shop. The mechanic was pissy that I actually know my vehicle enough that he didnt do anything for my initial problem. They put it back up on the lift and found that the new calipers I had put on before coming to Ohio were bad from the factory (out-of tolerance and knocking around). Of course the mechanic griped about my having too much air in the tires (32 psi) and that it was probably the shocks (nope). But being that I wouldnt have to worry about my wheel breaking off, I chose to wait until I was home to fix). When I returned home after a stressful 2 weeks, A friend and I diagnosed the INNER TIE ROD by having him turn the wheel while I was underneath locating the rest of the knock the day after installing the warrantied calipers. I took an INNER TIE ROD to a local place, they installed, and LOW AND BEHOLD the sounds was gone. So, I called up the owner of Bobs Auto Repair, asked if I could get some kind of return being that what was actually wrong cost $109 and that was after the alignment. He got heated and said he had to pay his mechanics, too. I guess when they misdiagnose a problem when they were simply told to install a part, the money belongs in their pocket, not yours. He said I should have brought it back and I re-stated I DID when his father and that mechanic were there. He said he would talk to them, kick it around and get back with me by last Friday and took down my phone number.I obviously was interested in them fixing what was actually wrong - INNER TIE ROD, being that I brought the part. If they would have noticed the loose caliper, great. But they completely misdiagnosed the problem and with all the owners certifications and as he said, personally overseeing this job, I guess there is only warranty on the wrong parts installed and not COMPLETE MISDIAGNOSIS.So I just shelled out $208 for no reason whatsoever. His Dad was cool, maybe he should still be running the joint. Hes the only reason I give them ONE star.
