The manager here is fantastic, gets me in and out in 15 minutes for an oil change/tire rotation and that includes getting my fleet authorization. Really convenient and friendly.

My 20 year old vans transmission drain threads got stripped when I tried to flush the fluid. I couldnt get the drain plug back in tight enough because of the missing threads. This caused fluid leak. I took it to auto lab and they fixed it the same day. Highly recommended.

I towed my jeep to their shop because I saw smoke coming from underneath my hood. Randy stated that a hose was off and that he repaired it. He stated that he was pretty sure based on eyeballing that this was the only issue with the car. After picking the car up and driving home, the car wouldnt start back up. After towing the car back up to the shop, Randy called and said my engine was blown. Umm what??? How is my engine all of a sudden blown?? I dont know, but what I do know is this...Randy admitted to not properly assessing my vehicle before repairing it (stating he just eyeballed it without using the diagnostic equipment they have), he charged me for fixing a hose on a blown engine (and didnt offer a refund), he was rude and short when I asked questions, and any engine damage I had was exacerbated when Auto Lab let me drive off without properly assessing the vehicle. I am now out of a vehicle AND $288 for a hose that shouldnt have been repaired on a blown engine.

Highly recommended. Very friendly, Knowledgeable helpful and fair. Got me in and out quickly even though they were busy. Hard to find honest mechanics these days.

The guys here are amazing! As a woman, most mechanics shops try to take advantage of me and dont want to explain anything to me. Here though, not only do they educate me about my van, they dont try to rip me off price wise. I’ve taken several different cars here over the years and have always been treated exceptionally well. I’ve found this shop to be the most trustworthy repair facility in the Metro Area. Not only do they use good quality parts, but they perform the work in a timely manner. The shop owner Mark is exceptionally good at what he does and has always presented himself in a professional manner.

Not sure if their repair work, but not pleased with their used car sales. Poor customer service in that by Mark. Glenn was pleasant enough but was just the middleman. False advertising on the car from Mark and very ride to my young adult daughter.

I find the technical crew to be well educated to service my car. They tell me like it is and which repairs would really be needed vs. optional or lets-watch-this kind of a repair. Labor rate is more affordable than dealers.

I am in my mid 40s and for years have tried to handle all of my households automotive repairs. Over the years for the heavy repairs I have had to shop around for a shop that is as meticulous as I am (which are hard to find). Mark Stull is not only very knowledgeable, he is extremely professional, and most of all very meticulous when he handles my vehicles. He has worked on my Avalanche (daily driver) and my 1984 Z28 (toy car). If it is something I am not able to do in the driveway, I only take my vehicles to one place and that is to Mark. Highly recommended!

Do Not Go Here! I went in for a test to see if my Cadillac converter went bad.Plus a oil change. I received a call saying It was bad and needed to be replaced.The cost would be 1,322.95 with a discount.I told them that was way to high as I just replaced it back in November for only 300. Then he told me I needed a tuneup and I told him my son can do tuneups I only need price for converter and was told it would be the same price with or without the tuneup I told him I never hear of that before.So I also told him my converter is under warranty and only need a price for the labor. Then he told me it was the back converter and not the front.So I just got the test and oil done. When I went to pick it up I seen on the bill they were going to charge for a tuneup I didn’t ask for plus a flush I didn’t come in there to have everything they can think of done Im not rich and have to budget my work done.I’m a senior (women) so I talked to my family and was told to get it tested again by a different place which I did and was told they lied to me. I only needed the warranty converter replaced. I had it done for 180. Not a bad savings. I seen after that the test showed it was fixed on my sprint device.That I have to let me know what my van needs ahead of time. I will not recommend this place or unless you wanna throw money out the window.very bad business trying to scam a old lady.

Everyone here has always been very friendly. They diagnose my car quickly and their communication skills are impeccable. They call when they find out whats wrong and understand the time-sensitivity of customers needing a car.One thing that irks me about so many auto shops is the patronizing nature of the customer service. Im a small guy and Im not super macho, so Im not often taken seriously by mechanics. Not here, they treat me like an adult and I can respect and trust that kind of shop.

John Adams (service advisor) was excellent. I was in a bind as I had break problems while visiting from out of town. He was super friendly, helpful and had me back on the road with two new sets of breaks and rotors in less than and 1.5 hrs. Very low prices and good service.

I brought my car in the morning to be checked out because there was a clunking noise and i needed to go to work that night.I gave them information and an hour later they told me a lower ball joint was about to break.I was told the price and other places to compare and had it fixed and went to work later on tome. Took my 07 Fusion for my inner door handle broke(common with Fusions)for repair. Called around for estimates to Belle Tire,Sears, Firestone. Auto-lab of Troy saved me some$$$$. QUALITY!!. They even put in a new brake light @ no charge. They treat the customers great. Only drawback is wish they were closer to my house. That doesnt even matter. Ken R

Great service, fast turnaround. They always save me money when they can. One example is when I thought my leaf springs broke; it turned out that my rear shackles were rusted out and they replaced only the shackles. I have over 150,000 miles on my truck and want to keep it going for a few years and they keep it going for me. I have had them work on my engine, transfer case, transmission, exhaust, brakes and I even get my tires from them. I often have them look over my truck to find things that are wrong to fix it before it breaks and I know I can trust them to only replace parts that need to be replaced. I wont go anywhere else.

Had a hole in my tire, they patched it super quick and did it for a really good price.

My Acura RDX was shaking, especially when applying gas. A/C also worked intermittently. They were able to take me in and fix both quickly...and for way less than I was expecting, (A/C...they found a part for less than $20 and got it fixed!) I love my car again. Thank you!

Car repair is always expensive! Of course, you get what you pay for and I was happy with the service and the price (even tho I wish it were cheaper) I understand they have a costly business to run.

I recently brought in my vehicle for some work to be done and was extremly pleased with my service. The gentleman behind the counter, Glen, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and told me when they diagnosed the problem they would call me and let me know what it would take to fix the problem. I was pleased with the prompt turn around time and the pricing was close to what I expected and have not had any issues since then. I highly recomend Auto Lab of Troy for any future repairs and will be coming back for anything else.

You guys SUCK! Took my car in to have the breaks checked last week(because they were making a squeaking noise)and you told me they were perfectly fine! Spent over 3 hours in Cleveland yesterday having the calipers replaced because they were so bad I wouldnt of made it home!

Got my oil changed there once, good experience. Called to schedule another appointment when next change was due, Tony said hed put me in the book for Friday 9am (I called on a Monday). Showed up Friday and said I was here for my oil change appointment No way, not going to happen I was told. I wasnt in the book, the guy had no idea or record of an appointment. He spoke with the mechanic (who I could hear cussing from the garage) and came back saying, OK, we can do it, well just have to stop working on another car. Then I was informed that the filter I needed wasnt in stock and would have to be ordered. Complete disaster. I took the car to my dealer the following week to finally get my oil changed - only to learn that the drip plug was stripped during my last oil change (at Autolab, Troy). Thanks guys, an additional $65 to my routine oil change cost. Will NEVER deal with this place again.

Dot not go there. Poor customer service. Had my bearings replaced multiple times. Poor cheap parts. Had to take multiple days off. Stay away.

My experiment with autolab is great. They gave me a good price for fixing the brakes of my car: rotor calipers, and pads. The bolts of my car are rusted, so the labor might vary, but autolab gave me a fixedfair price so that I did not have to worry about that. Best of all, they have a free loan for a car, so it saves all the hassle of renting a car with another expense. The free car loan is a total courtesy!

Quite a poor experience. Charged me $100 for an inspection and seemed eager to spell out all the things wrong with my vehicle. When Larry learned insurance was involved, he became much less available to fit me into the schedule. Larry promised to call me back several times and never did. When I followed up with him, he stated Im about to go home and Im very busy, Ill call you tomorrow or I havent heard back from... the insurance agent. These were clearly untrue, as I had no trouble connecting with the insurance company. With all the options in the area, I would steer clear of this business.

We are very disappointed in the service(?)we received at Auto-Lab of Troy. We had a part worked on at the St. Clair Shores location and we discovered they were out of business. We then proceeded to go to the Troy location.They not only charged us for a diagnostic fee that they shouldnt have (we were checking on the part the St. Clair Shores location installed which wasnt working), but also when we tried to pick the car up, they had closed 20 minutes early. They are now not open again until Friday.Our son needs his car to drive back up to school (10 hours)this weekend and planned to use it when he was home.We are EXTREMELY disappointed and will be sharing this information on Facebook, with all of our friends, and on any other social media we can find.By the way, they are saying its not the part from Auto-Lab that is faulty, its another part which they would be happy to replace for us, for a fee.Karen DubrinskyHuntington Woods

In early December of 2012, my car broke down at 14 Mile and Dequindre, in the middle of morning rush hour. I was able to push it (a 94 Jeep grand Cherokee isnt an easy push under the best of conditions) into the left turn lane. I called AutoLab Troy. The young man, Tony, who answered the phone first asked if I was safe, then told me he would have a tow there for me soon. Half hour later, my car and I were at the shop. They gave me a loaner car, and told me they would check it out, and let me know what the story was. I got a call about two hours later, explaining the problem, and that the car would be ready the next day. Sure enough, when I called the next day, it was done, and the price (which included the tow bill) was so reasonable that I had to ask if they were sure that was all it was costing. Thanks so much to Keith, Scott, Glen, Tony, and of course, the owners, Mark Stahl and Robert Faranso. Quick quality work, and great prices. Great combo!!!

Took my recently purchased 48 Ford Rat-Rod to them as I was loosing a lot of transmission oil. They found the problem; short/wrong driveshaft. They fixed it by having a custom driveshaft made. Expensive but OK. They commented that the driveshaft was very close to the gas tank. I took it to my shop and put it on my lift. The driveshaft wasrubbing on the gas tank strap; yikes!!! So, they had lied to me about a safety item.When I took it back I was told that it had not left the shop that way and they could fix it for a price. The custom driveshaft that they had purchased has a much larger diameter which was their fault, not mine. They should have moved the tank before telling me that it was ready for pick up. I will not be back.

Took my liberty in and fixed whatever needed to be fixed and customer service is excellent even called after repair to see if all is good. :)

..only repair shop Ive ever been to where you have your company vehicle repaired there, but they dont accept company (business) checks for payment..BEWARE that their advertisement says they dont accept PERSONAL CHECKS and not that they dont accept BUSINESS CHECKS. I spent $1,831.09 with them on repairs to my vehicle and when I went to pick it up and pay with a company check they told me that they dont accept checks. When I told the Mgr that their advertisement says personal checks he called the owner and the owner said they do not accept business checks either. I caught and Uber to pick up my vehicle only to be stranded because they wouldnt accept a business check..

The owner of this store has been repairing my vehicles since 2009, before he even owned the shop in Troy. On my latest car I had the BP flushes done and it paid.One of my wheel cylinders on the rear brakes started leaking and BP paid his shop to have the problem repaired.

Auto Labs are honest with reasonable prices. I would recommend them.
