This is BY FAR the best barbershop Ive been to anywhere Downriver or in the Metro Detroit area in general, and Ive been to a lot of them. Christie always does a FANTASTIC job and I have never left disappointed! Ive never got a bad haircut there by anyone. I highly suggest giving them a shot if youre looking for a grade A haircut!

The haircut was good and the stylist was friendly - I appreciated that the stylist took time to get out a razor to shape the sideburns. I just found their scheduling to be unforgiving. I had to come back the next day which is fine, but then had to wait 30 minutes past my scheduled time for a stylist - several of the staff kept asking who I was waiting to see and whispering like I was forgotten about - but in fairness I dont know that to be true. Thats fine, it happens - but at the end I just wanted the neck stubble cleaned up (not a beard trim) and that wasnt possible because I didnt ask for it when I made the appointment. I didnt even have the option to pay extra to have it done, because they apparently needed the chair for the next customer. It takes less than 2 minutes to do at home and its something my normal barber just does out of professionalism. I should have walked out feeling like a million bucks, instead I left still feeling un-groomed and mildly disappointed. I dont like to complain, I just hope the proprietors take this comment as constructive criticism.

I went here for my first time after dealing with issues with my current preferred barbershop.Megan was absolutely fantastic. She was very professional, courteous, she took her time to make sure I was happy with the quality of my haircut. I would absolutely recommend that anybody try this shop out and see Megan.

I scheduled an appointment 24 hrs in advance. I took my son in 10 mins prior to his appointment 2 ppl came in 10 mins after we checked in, they went back before we did. I was told we were up next. 25 mins later we still sat there… finally I went to front desk to ask what the hold up was, supposedly our stylist was still with a customer. I don’t understand how it takes 25 mins plus and we did not know who our stylist was. If I have an appointment there’s no reason why I should be waiting 25 limits + for a little boys haircut. I wasn’t a walk in and no one apologized for my wait. This place is always doing stuff like this. I would never go back.

First time at Legends and it was a great experience. Jessica was awesome and gave me a great haircut. Its also a small local business and we need to support them now more than ever.

They did amazing with my four year olds hair. They were a tad more expensive then other places I have taken him but also the only ones who have been able to cut his hair the way I like. We will be going again.

Im honestly not sure if Legends is even open anymore. Supposedly they are by appointment only, but when I call them, I either receive a message your call cannot be completed as dialed, or it simply rings and rings, and rings, and no one ever picks up on their end. After half a dozen tries, Im tired of trying. Im going elsewhere for my haircut.

Took my 12 y.o. grandson to get his hair cut. She did a nice job but he was charged the same price as an adult. That hurt her tip, not because we werent satisfied with her work but charging a boy as a man. Unfortunately, we wont be back.

I’ve been here 5-6 times 3 out of the 4 times my haircut been messed up. I even showed a picture from all angles I wanted the brad Pitt haircut from the movie fury that’s the best I could explain it I didn’t want any taken off the top but I guess what I wanted didn’t matter. Now I’m walking around looking like I have a permanent kangol hat on backwards smh.

Angela has been cutting my hair now for years and I would follow her anywhere. When she opened her own shop a couple years ago, I knew it would be a success. She’s got an excellent team and I will say this - if you want a great haircut at an excellent price, you can’t beat Legends.

Very attentive to detail and they take care of you. I had Megan and she made me feel welcome right when I sat down. The process is super simple as you just walk in, sign in on the iPad, choose your stylist or first available and go from there. They have amenities such as TVs in front of you when you are getting taken care of and a wash after your cut so you dont have to wash when you get home.I only not recommend here if you want a quick 20 minute cut in a hurry. Expect to spend at least 45 minutes to an hour from sitting down in the chair and paying, and that was from getting seated right away.

Glad I tried Legends out! Clean/cool atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly, GREAT HAIRCUTS! Angela cut mine and my sons hair. Best haircuts we’ve gotten in a long time and will be going to see her from now on. I noticed all the other ladies were giving out good cuts as well while we were there, so I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the stylists at Legends. Definitely, recommend going here, if you want a good haircut.

I started going to Legends on a whim because a) I could never get in to see the girl who usually cuts my hair @ a different place, so I tried going to a lady janes down the street from my house & they were rude & let me sit there forever to the point I got up & left - thus going down the street to legends were I meet Kristen who got me right in & she couldn’t have done a better job with my hair - I’m very particular & she nailed it so guess where & who I’ve been going now for the last 3 months & will continue to go there as long as Kristin is there - she is the BEST & very very personal & Nice - I would recommend Legends to anybody in the downriver area - you won’t be disappointed

My son is 11 and finally found someone he is comfortable with so Chanelle is our go-to girl.They have great hours (including weekends) to work around my insane schedule and if I don’t want to take the chance of waiting, I just call and make an appointment. After looking for a barber shop in the area I thought I found one and it was a horrible experience all around not only was the haircut horrible but it was way overpriced. I went to the chain shops after giving up all hope on a nice haircut. Then I found Legends and wow what a difference not only are the prices great but the total experience is amazing Chanelle cut my hair and did a amazing job. I cant say enough how nice and relaxing my experience was and this is now my only go to for a hair cut now.

I was waiting in the lobby for my haircut when I heard a young man speaking with the manager Amanda about a haircut she did wrong. He was talking about how she removed more hair than he showed in pictures, to which she immediately said she was not at fault and did not even apologize. When the young man asked Amanda how to leave feedback for the service, Amanda told him to leave the store, did not say how to leave feedback, and even threatened to have someone physically confront him. I am shocked at the aggressive behavior of this stylist and manager. There was a child sitting in the lobby as well. It was both unprofessional and morally wrong to threaten a customer after one has done a terrible service. Seeing as how the manager treats customers they have wronged, I will be going elsewhere from now on for my haircut.

I went for a cut and was extremely happy with Danielle. I usually hit another mens place in the area either on Eureka or West Rd. This experience was way better because my hair actually looked like someone who knew the business and gave a sh## worked on me. Ive had great cuts in the other place too... But then .... So many bad ones that Im going back to Legends to support a local owner and good people......

BEWARE of stylist/ manager Amanda (Mandy). After requesting a simple box cut look, AND showing her several pictures of exactly how it looks, she still cut into my natural hairline and ended up making a straight line from the top of my forehead to my sideburn. When I expressed my frustration with her mistake, rather than giving an apology first (which wouldve made things better), she automatically tried to defend her action saying that that was what she interpreted, etc. The kicker is when she threatened to kick me out of the store after I just said I was leaving but asked her how to leave proper feedback. Amanda refused to tell me how to leave any feedback (no constructive criticism allowed it seems) and further threatened to either remove my feedbacks or that she would create a story and support her side. Whatever she may create, Ive got video evidence of the entire thing and would be happy to show that as proof. Bottom line: please get your hair cut with a different stylist or another location. This woman does not know how to cut hair, will cut off excess hair, and worst, never apologize for it. She threatened to have a male getting his hair cut to have a physical altercation with me, which luckily for her she did not follow through on. Otherwise you wouldve seen police at the establishment, the man in jail, and Amanda in jail for threatening a disappointed customer.

I recently lost my hairstylist after 11 years from her moving on. And my buddy recently went to Chanelle here and he loved her. I thought what a perfect time to give it a try and try this place out. Chanelle did such an awesome job! She definitely knows what she is doing. She gave me a full haircut, lined up my beard, shaped my eyebrows and shaved me. It hasn’t even been 5 hours and I’ve already received compliments on how good everything looks. This is definitely my new home away from home!
