The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. No one speaks english, no one takes their job seriously, my exam was scheduled for 9am and when I got to the office I was told my consultation would only be available at 9:30 because the dentists hadn’t arrived yet… I waited until 9:35 and was told I’d have to wait until 10am, completely disregarding my job. My recommendation is stay away from this horrible establishment.

Very accommodating office staff, Eileen helped me last minute. Honest doctor. Fair price for cleaning. Thank you to the whole team, great experience. Unfortunately not 5 stars because they are not affiliated with Aetna student discounts so I couldn’t finish everything I wanted to do, but that doesn’t take away from the quality of their work.

I have been in this office and all of staff have very professional starting with the Front desk to al the dentists and techical assistants . I would recommend all my family and friends to this offices but also to all of the others one the have through put miami.

Sadly was forced to go to a different doctor due to the lack of professionalism by their front desk girl eileen. She has no business attending to paying customers and after two years in this office i will stop.

Refused to do my dental cleaning because I requested to not go through X-ray. I did my X-ray 6 months prior and there was no need for me getting extra radiation. They just wanted to bill the insurance in the expense of my health.

Extremely professional environment and excellent staff. Nidia is awesome and she always makes sure everyone is taken care of and comfortable. It is always a pleasure dealing with this office and highly recommend coming for any dental work. The office is clean and well prepared for efficient operation among the uncertainty of the virus.

I will say this is one of the best dentist that I try. I being in the past in another dentist that they are so expensive and pushing all the time to go there. South dental Brickell is nice, fair, and honest. They make an excelente job, make the best time for your appointments, have the best prices, work with the insurance. I made an appointment days in advanced and when I made it to the location, the receptionist told me they weren’t taking appointments today and that I’d have to reschedule. I received both a text message and an email reminding me of my appointment but according to the receptionist, I should have gotten an email about the cancellation.

I schedule an appointment for 345, my appointment card says 345. The receptionist calls me the day before and says my appointment is at 3, I tell her I work and it needs to be at 330. She says okay see you at 330. I arrive exactly at 330, wait 30 mins, ask when my appointment is going to be, the receptionist tells me I arrived an hour and 15 mins early and my appointment is actually at 445! Respect peoples’ time! Time is so precious to me, beyond livid

I’m pretty sure most of you think twice about going to the dentist but if you’re like me very skeptical about going, this people right here are the real deal In which they make you feel like home from the minute you walk in, the Frontdesk gives nice welcoming. Every one is super professional and friendly. In addition they really put interest and care about your dental health. Outstanding doctors as well. I really recommend this place you won’t regret it. DO NOT GO HERE. Horribly unprofessional.I went to South Dental 4 weeks ago, after my dentist asked me to remove my permanent metal retainer for cleaning and put it back. I explained my dentists request to the orthodontist in South Brickell, and they recommended to remove my retainer that same day, have me go for a cleaning at my regular dentists, and come back to South Dental the next month to put a retainer again (their orthodontist only comes there once a month). I asked if my teeth wont move during the month without a retainer (Ive had my retainer for over 15 years), and they said that it wont matter if they move because they will fix it next month with the new retainer. I agreed, and my retainer was removed that same day and I was scheduled to put a new retainer the month after, when the orthodontist is in the office. During this month my teeth had visibly moved. Yesterday, ONE DAY before my appointment, I got this text message from South Dental: Good afternoon unfortunately all ortho appointments will be rescheduled for next month the doctor has a family emergency. I called the office and explained the situation: I am without a retainer for a month after it was removed by South Dental, my teeth had visibly moved, and I cant wait another month to put a retainer because I do not want my teeth to keep moving. Their response was that they have nothing to do because the orho isnt available. I insisted them to help me find a solution, and they recommended to go to their Kendell office in two days. That did not work for me for two reasons: (1) Im working during the day, and the appointment I scheduled with South Dental Brickell was planned a month in advance so I took that day off (Thursday). I couldnt randomly decide to take another day off (Friday) on a two-day notice. (2) The Kendell otho isnt in my network (Aetna) so the retainer wont be covered. I explained that, and the receptionist said there is nothing else she can do. Just like that.I am now still calling multiple orthos in the area to find one that will agree to put a retainer for me and fix what South Dental Brickell had done. At this point my teeth had moved and a permanent retainer wont fix that, Ill have to pay for an aligner even though I spend 5 years as a kid with braces and they just ruined it by being so unprofessional.I am very disappointed with South Dental Brickell and will NOT recommend it to anyone.

I am going to start by saying that this office is the best that i have ever gone too, they honestly do put the patients need first since the first time you call they are polite and very professional, and to top it off when you walk into that office you feel like your at home instead of being an a dentist office i am one of those many that is terrify of dentist and i loved it here. the staff like the manager nidia the front desk Claudia and ibis are amazing they are always with a smile on there face and they help you to the max.

Yes, visit them! What a friendly staff! Once I walked in I immediately felt as though I was welcomed. The ladies in the front, Claudia and Nedia were so sweet and knowledgeable. First off, booking was a breeze. It was so easy and convenient. They went above and beyond to work with my schedule. The hygienist Brenda, is absolutely the greatest! :) She kept a smile on her face and helped show me a flossing method that I had never seen before. My teeth look and feel amazing!!!! HIGHLIGHTS:This dentist office is in a great location, modern clean space, and provides excellent services all around. Nidia and Claudia manage the front desk and entire office. They are extremely friendly, helpful, thorough, polite, pleasant, and completely bilingual in Spanish and English. They are very flexible and accommodating with appointments and do their due diligence with insurance communication and internal paperwork to ensure a smooth procedure from a simple cleaning to anything else necessary. Dr. C. Ramos is my personal favorite dentist who has performed fillings and bonding on my teeth with a gentle approach, as these procedures can cause anxiety and nervousness, and often minimum pain. But all hygienists and dentists Ive seen have been fantastic, and I do not throw these compliments out loosely. This shop was already extremely sanitary, but have now gone the extreme extra mile while opening back up during COVID-19 to protect the safety and health of both their patients and staff. BINGO - this is the place to be for all your dental needs.LOWLIGHTS:Only one thing - to my knowledge, this office does not have an Orthodontist specialist employed on site, so if you need to see one, they can only refer you to another location for those requirements.

My husband and I have been using South Dental for the past 7 or 8 years. They do great work. I am very pleased with the quality of care they provide and I get lots of compliments on my smile :). I am really happy with South Dental Brickell. I have been a patient there for many years. I left for a few years and came back. I realized after visiting several dentists, I was always happy with them. Ramon (when he was there) was extremely nice and Jorge Luis is no different. They have always been very professional and would always explain my benefits 10 times to make sure I understand what I am paying. let’s be honest.... those costs are so confusing. But after writing down my notes and reviewing my explanation of benefits from my insurance, it’s really clear what my cost would be. Staff (Carmen and Jorge Luis especially) and doctors have always been very polite and made me feel like home, especially Flor, who was there to calm me down during an anxiety attack 😬. Keep up the good work.

South Dental at Brickell offer extended hours for people like me, that work and leave at 5 pm from work, and also they open on Saturdays. Hit or miss. Ive been using this place only for teeth cleaning so far. Sometimes they do a good thorough job, other times a sloppy superficial one. After the cleaning the dentist examines you and sometimes they recommend (and push) $8,000+ worth of urgent dental work, next appointment they praise you for having such good teeth... They are very slow too. You may sit in your chair for 30+ minutes after cleaning is done waiting for the dentist to examine you. But they are very cheap (at least as far as teeth cleaning goes) so Ill continue to use them.

South dental Brickell took great care of my mother when she had a dental emergency. They went out of their way to accommodate her. The service given from the front desk staff up to the doctor was great and very professional. I recommend them .

She also explained the cost for my procedure in a very professional manner. The paperwork that I had to fill out was neat, orderly, and clean in a way that made it easy to fill out. I rate this dentist a 5 out of 5 stars because all the employees are very nice, very helpful, and have such patience with all the questions I always have. They make it very easy to book an appointment especially that my native language is Portuguese and it caught me by surprise that the office manger spoke not only english and Spanish but Portuguese as well. So it was a pleasant experience being able to speak Portuguese with her. Not only that but the assistants and Doctors treated me very well. Im proud to call South Dental Brickell the official dentist that I will always attend.

Please be advised that IF THEY ARE NOT IN-NETWORK WITH YOUR INSURANCE DO NOT GO HERE! A co-worker recommended this place and told me it was in-network with our insurance and I could have sworn I double checked online at the insurance website that they were listed, but it turns out they are not. With that said, I was promised and told they would help me out and do what they can, but I guess that was before they officially found out my insurance was out of network. Now the Doctor I had no longer works on my days off and they wont bother calling me back for anything. They also told me they were going to give me a certain charge than when I got my EOB not only was it not anything they told me they were going to charge they also billed my insurance for teeth they said they removed I didnt even have because they had already came out. Thats just shady. It all seemed like it was going to work out now it just seems like they were looking to bleed what little insurance I have for dental.

Friendly staff but disorganized.Came in for an emergency extraction.I was given a prescription for the abscess but no pain killer was provided while sitting in the chair. They were prescribed to me.I was told that the dentist was out of my network for my insurance. I had to call and have my insurance confirm that they were in fact in network.I was told the wrong day to come back for the extraction. When I confirmed the day (it was a holiday) then they told me the correct day.After my wisdom teeth extraction, NO PAIN KILLERS WERE PRESCRIBED!When I arrived to have the stitches removed, I sat in the chair for an hour and 15 minutes before they came in and said I was free to go. WITHOUT THEM REMOVING THE STITCHES.Many of the staff came and checked in on me, one came in and looked at my folder and then asked me what my name was again (I’ve been in this room for an hour now) and then said that it wasn’t my folder.Too many mistakes for me to go back.The only praise I must give is to Dr. Lazado. Amazing doctor and the only reason I’m rating 3 stars.Update: not all stitches were removed. One had fallen out on its own 3 weeks later.

This clinic is not nice,I call a make a appointment and everything was fine, I give my dental insurance information and the say yes whith take that insurance then one day before the appointment some lady name Carmen call me and she said my insurance was not in the network so they can give the full benefit And the price they gonna be different.Nor nice when you have appointment already why they don’t say that in the first place when a call .when I call I ask about prices they don’t want to tell you?

My friend told me about this dentist office in Brickell she was very pleased with how her appointment went, that I knew I had to book my appointment with them as well. I live in Naples FL and i drove an hour and a half to get my wisdom tooth removed. Ive had my other three wisdom tooth removed in the past and they were a very bad and painful experience. But at South Dental Brickell Dr. Juan Jamiz made my extraction with such ease I did not feel a thing! It was quick, easy, & best of all not painful! Overall I rate this dentist a high 5 star rating for my overall experience from the front desk claudia to the office manager Nidia, to the assistants, and Dr. Jamiz it made my experience very smooth and easy. i will continue driving an hour and a half to attend South Dental Brickell.

We went there because my mother had to have her implants re-placed. We waited for a long time before being able to see the doctor. When I asked the receptionist after waiting for 20 minutes, she asked me to wait because the doctor went to lunch. Later on, after waiting about 30 minutes, we were able to see the doctor which we find out that he was the gentleman next to the receptionist and was not on lunch break. The doctor was very kind and helpful, he explained in details the situation and helped us. Later on a gentleman walks in to let us know about the cost. After explaining, he brings the total to 380$. When I asked about the detailed bill and an explanation the total comes to 330$ Hmm, that’s weird but maybe he made a mistake while calculating the total costs, which was anyway unacceptable.

I call to have a cleaning done and have a toothache checked, they make me go, they check my pain and when I ask about cleaning, they tell me that the doctor is not available.The people who answer the phone do not know where they stand, do not play with the time of the people please.

She is the only dentist I will ever see. It doesnt matter where you are in the world. However, this is not without the help of his entire team, that was evident. From the moment I walked into South Dental Brickell, they put dentistry aside for a second and took the time to listen to my emotional needs and my dental needs. They treated me like a real human being sitting in front of them. I felt understood, listened to, extremely well cared for, and didnt feel for a moment that they were just empathizing to be nice. No. Every step of the way during my process, you could tell that they were being completely thoughtful, compassionate, and proactive with every move and every step of the procedure. They cared about this, maybe even more than I did!At one point ... I realized that I could let this new warm feeling of security and relaxation wash over me. In a dentists chair! Imagine going from traumatized to really relaxed in a dentist chair! I still cant believe it, and Im almost excited for my next date just to experience this incredible level of care again!As I mentioned earlier, the magic is definitely in teamwork. I had tried a different South Dental a few years ago ... and while it was okay, it wasnt the same. Nidia and Claudia at the front accept you as a friend the moment you walk in, and they update you on all your options.
