I’ve been coming to fancy nails with my grandma for 5 years now. At first they were great but lately I have not been happy with them. I make an appointment and I’m there for 3 almost 4 hours. The service is horrible. The pedicures I’ve gotten didn’t last at all and they barely scrub your feet. And when I get my acrylics filled, I have to wait about 20-30 minutes in between each step while they walk off and do other people who don’t have an appointment and have me waiting forever. One time they messed up my polish and I said they did and the guy just walked away and ignored me. Also they tell me how much my total is then when I end up paying, it’s like $15 more than what was owed. I do not recommend fancy nails at all anymore. Not a good place. There’s so many other nail places just on east Main Street better than this salon. You would think coming for 5 years they would treat their customers with care…

I travel over 1 hr. Found Fancy Nails by chance towards end of winter. Was a walk-in. They took me right away. Rachel did my nails. Acrylic fill/ gel polish. I could not be happier. She took her time. Did eyebrows and Acrylic on toes as well. Beautiful job. She was a sweetheart. Ive gone 4 or 5 times now. Have had nail art by owner and I believe a gentleman named Tom. It has been worth the trip. Best place Ive come across in CT.

I don’t get my nails done often, but when I do I always go here! They are very professional and do a great job on my nails. Their prices are pretty affordable as well. However, sometimes there’s a bit of a wait since they get pretty busy. I highly recommend calling ahead a day or two, but they’re great!

I didnt like how they did my nails the 2 times I went there. Within a week I needed to go and get them filled in. It should take 2 weeks. I think they hurry through instead of spending time doing your nails. With the money you spend there they should take a little more time doing them.

Don’t bother making an apt, waited over 45 mins after my apt time. Rushed, glued my nail to my skin.

Omg! I know they’re usually naturally rude but today I went there and I’m sorry but the amount of rudeness was too much for my taste, I nicely asked the lady her opinion on a color and she answered “I don’t know it’s your problem, is your nails”. Call me old fashioned but you just can’t treat people that way, period! I’ll rather do my own nails than give them one penny out of my pocket. I think the only reason they’re still so busy is because their customers are just numbed to their rudeness, they justify it because they’re foreign, and that’s a shame no one should be allowed to treat customers that way. NO ONE! It’s simply disgusting!

Came for a last minute pedicure and my goodness, I am so grateful. My technician could sense I was tired and gave so much extra attention to my massage. My toes look cute too! This is my new favorite salon. Definitely recommend.

My nails came out exactly how I wanted them. I made an appointment ahead of time and they were so good about getting me in right away. Service was great and the tech was super nice. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

The last 2 times I went, the women I had both times was great and took her time. The nail art she did always came out amazing.That being said, I’m sad I have to write such a negative review. This time around she was unavailable, and the guy who did my nails was TERRIBLE. Rushed, his nails were so long they would dig into my skin, and he was texting constantly. My nails are uneven, polish has bubbles, and he didn’t even file correctly. I had to have another girl fix them for me. She even had to take a coat off to repaint them, making them now look unnatural. She was unable to fix them enough because they were SO BAD. They still charged me $45. Needless to say, I will never return as quality isn’t a priority for them.

By far the best salon I have been to. Staff is very attentive and interactive vs. just sitting there and providing a service. Ben goes above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied with the results. I have never had any issues with this place and I have to say, I always feel very welcomed there where at other places I feel it is very business only with no built customer rapport. Will keep going here and so will my 3 daughters. Keep up the good work!!

They Tried to Take Me Although I Made appointment at Tips & Toes Spa (salon on the lower level).I made appointment before I stepped in and told the person at this place that I have appointment, this person looked at appointment book with a face not clear by trying to find my name although my wasn’t in the book, but they still took me. After awhile I got phone call from Tips & Toes Spa they old me they still waiting for me, I realized I went to the wrong salon (Fancy Nail), they should be honest and told me that “you don’t have appointment with us” then I figured out. I went home and talked to my friends about this, the told me that Fancy Nail owners and family members used to work for Tips & Toes Spa. And after awhile the opened their nail salon right in exactly the same small building and above Tips & Toes Spa where they used to work for.

Great place!! I absolutely loved it! I will definitely be coming back!

I usually have an ok experience here, but the person i had this time made me bleed on almost all of my fingers, she was in such a rush and put my nails on crooked. i’m never going back again it was by far the most painful nail appointment i ever had.

This nail salon is better than most!! The Technicians really take their time. You really get your moneys worth, and the products are good! Especially love their pedicures!!

First time bringing my girlfriend here who is from Boston. Horrible experience as the lady doing her manicure put the wrong color paint on her nails. When my girlfriend noticed the first nail looking like the wrong color, we double checked with the lady and showed her the color again and she said yes this was the one and that the color will fade from green to blue. After finishing the nails, color was exactly the same as when we questioned it and was completely green rather than the dark blue it was supposed to be. They didn’t give us a discount for the inconvenience, the extra 30 minutes of our time taking paint off and putting on a new color and charged us regular price. I’m sure this doesn’t happen to everyone who comes in here but I thought I’d share this experience of ours anyways.

Had a great experience here. My nails were perfectly shaped and painted. The staff was kind and pleasant.

I had my acrylic full set done by Tom (owner also used to be the owner of Family Nails in Avon). I wished I should have known Tom then I had never come here because I never had the best service from him (Tom) or even his wife (Carrie). My friends recommended, so I tried. Nails never look identical such as thick, some nail long, some nail short, different shapes, etc..., nails were lifted and fell off. I wont and never recommend my friends here.

Never take you on time for an appointment and then they rush you through! Got a pedicure and it was so rushed I was annoyed! The girl actually hurt me every step of the way! The whole time she was looking elsewhere instead of paying attention to me (the customer) not the first time but definitely the last time!My niece was very unhappy with her manicure and they were rude to her for saying so and for having to redo their mistakes another day. She wanted a French manicure when she went back and they said NO cuz she wants them perfect!Not exactly how I want to be treated considering the amount of money spent there!

They were serious up and ready for next when I walked in......no waiting since I had made an appointment. All of the staff made me feel welcome d. This was my first visit at this salon. Everything was very neat, clean and organized. My pedi was immediately started and lasted close to an hour. (This inclued the drying time. My nail polish was gently checked to make sure they were dry before my flip flops were put on. Another salon in town will just put them on, wet or not and if one or more had gotten messed up, it would be touched up, sometimes not leaving a smooth shiny finish. I think I have found a new place that will get my business.

The owner of this salon is a LIAR!We made an appointment over the phone for my wedding last fall months ahead at Tips & Toes Spa through a recommendation of a friend. Our group made into this wrong salon because GPS directed us here, and we didn’t recognize Tips & Toes Spa is on the lower level. We stepped in and told them that we have appointment for my wedding, they looked into their book, looked at each other, said nothing, and took all of us. 20 minuets later, I got a phone call from Tips & Toes Spa asked us “Are you on the way to our nail salon?” I felt so bad to make theirs employees to wait for us.Be ALERT!!!

The BEST experience I’ve ever had getting my nails done !

Salon is so strong chemical odor, the man who did my nails was so heavy tobacco smoke, and generally salon is dirty. I’m not going back and won’t recommend any friend of mine to this place.

The best nail salon ever! Nobody does my nail like the staff from Fancy nail does. I have tried many different sallons and this is definetely my favorite!

To make the long story short. Three of the employees that worked there was really RUDE as I was waiting for my mom, she was getting her eye brows done. The staff made me feel very UNCOMFORTABLE being there. One staff was coming off very Stereotypical and acted as if I was going to steal something from the register because I was standing at the counter waiting for my mom and looking at their prices for the next time I wanted to get my nails done since I previously was there getting my nails done before in the past. One of the guys there also came off rude after the lady talked about me in her language. He walked over to where I was and asked WHAT DO YOU WANT instead of a Hi, how can I help you or do you need help with anything but I guess they didnt realize I was waiting for my mom. At the end of the day, thats not how you treat customers and I will NEVER go back again. The girl who did my mothers eye brows did a horrible job and she was rude as well. They honestly deserve 0 stars but I had to choose at least one in order to share my review

I should have wrote this review for Fancy Nails I went here with a friend for pedis. Children were running around, yelling and screaming. The man who did my pedi dug so far into my toe that it was bleeding and now is infected. I had paint all around my nails on my skin. The neck massage bordered on very painful. I will not got back here again. about 7 months ago, I gave a review above to a nail salon on the lower level.

Really would be nice if the staff was friendlier, may be looking for a new place soon.

I’ve been here many times and it’s very hit or miss but after my fill today I won’t be going back. The tech was very careless and I ended up with a crooked set and a terrible paint job

Just went today for the first time since I’m new in town and had the worst experience. I wish I would have gotten the name of the guy who did my nails...he was rude to begin with and gave me an attitude when he had to re-do the polish on ONE nail!!! Never again!

Ive been here 2 times, each time I was cut and left the place bleeding and they did nothing other than pour rubbing alcohol on my wound and stuff cotton on it... they dont even acknowledge it happened. They dont pay attention to the customer, the nail artists are always very preoccupied and even when you have an appointment they make you wait and bounce around from client to client because they always have more customers than artists, and all the customers are scheduled to get their nails done at the same time! For example, I had an appointment for 6:15 my nails were not started until 7 and my artist went back and forth between me, doing another girls nails, and yelling at a customer so they ended up cutting my fingers, giving me uneven nails and painting then the wrong color! They are VERY rough with your nails. They rip up your fingers and file so hard that it burns to even touch your nails. I also have witnessed the owner yelling at and arguing with customers who are either not satisfied with the final result or who have been cut and spoke up about it. Overall its not a good vibe in there, very rushed/aggressive and not worth the money.
