We take our Jeep there for service and they treat us very well, like family. They provide fast service and consistent service each and every time.
Well guess it all depends on how much money you can afford to sink into a vehicle after u just paid 1500 to fix it and for the warranty and they wont honor the warranty its places like this that makes people fear going to the good ones. I paid for the part everyone knows its.possible to get a bad new part. Why not just change the part and go from there some of us cant.afford to sink money we dont have into work that isnt needed
Used car we bought in 2016 had a module give up the ghost, but they treat us like royalty. Got a nice loaner for a week at no charge! Excellent service and super nice to work with. Highly recommended!

Mike was amazing to work with for my Jeep purchase! I wasnt in the area but Mike went above and beyond to get everything needed to ensure a smooth sale. Mike communicated at every step to let me know where we were in the process and ensure I was satisfied with my Jeep decision. When I arrived Mike quickly greeted, asked if I had any questions, showed me the vehicle and said paperwork was ready. Greg F took over and reviewed all of the financial paperwork with me and both Mike and Greg were able to get me a great deal! I literally was out of there in 30 minutes! Thanks to Mike Bussart for making the purchase of my 2020 Jeep Compass a good experience. There was no pressure to buy. Hoffers lot didnβt have the color I wanted but Mike found one from another dealer and was able to keep the price in line with the ones on his lot. When we got there to pick up the Jeep all the paper work was ready, in and out within 30 minutes which included Mike going over the whole vehicle with us.
Just purchased a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Jammie our salesman was outstanding! He new the product line extremely well and was able to answer all of our questions. I wouldnβt recommend this place to anyone buying a new or used car. When I came to pick up the car I drove 4 hours for, there were scratches and rock chips all over it. Yes it was used, but I asked if there were any and they said not at all. I got a fair price on the car, but when a salesman wipes down the car with a dirty rag, they shouldnβt be working there, and I should get a chunk taken out of my costs for the scratches and chips. Also, I called to get my bill of sale from them and the gentleman at the financial department had a huge attitude problem when trying to get my issue resolved. Mike was nice, but needs to be taught how to wipe down a car by not using a glass cleaner. Ridiculous.

Absolutely the worst Jeep dealer I have ever experienced and have been a loyal jeep family for over 10 years. They act like they are doing you a favor by servicing your car and because you are a woman you donβt know the difference between a fuse needing to be replaced or an βelectrical problemβ that needs an electrician. You couldnβt pay me to go back to these people.
It took 2 days to finally talk to someone in service. I assume they were busy with customers. I left a message on the second day and got a call back from them within a couple hours. The service was a recall. It was estimated to be 2+ hours. I was in and out in less than 1.
I worked with Mike here. I had been car shopping for days and I was literally exhausted before I came to John Hoffer. I showed up, made an offer, and had a car in a couple hours. Easiest car buying experience ever. This will be my 4th car purchase from a dealership so I have experience doing this, and Iβve never felt like the sales people and finance people were so transparent and easy to work with. Mike was great. Helped me set up my Bluetooth and brought me a bag to put my old carβs stuff in. Stayed with me through the whole process. Good people. Great experience purchasing from John Hoffer Jeep. We found the Jeep we wanted on their website. We called and talked to Mike in Sales who said he would check inventory and call us back. He called back within 15 min to let us know they did have it. We found a lot of positive reviews on Google for the dealership so decided to drive from KC to Topeka to get it. Arrived and the Jeep was parked out front waiting for us. Mike showed us the features of our Wrangler Unlimited including how to take the tops/doors off, mobile pairing, etc. while the finance guy starting running numbers. He also introduced us to the owner who still comes to work at the dealership every day for the past 35 years. Once the numbers were ready we went back to Greg, signed the papers and were on our way in 15 minutes. They threw in a pair of side steps for the Jeep and would receive them in a few weeks for us to go pick up. Once arrived they let us know and shipped them free of charge to save us the drive, which made the deal all the sweeter. Definitely recommend this dealership - it was worth the drive compared to all the KC-area dealerships we called/saw who never got back to us.
Awesome! They have gone above and beyond to earn our loyalty since we moved here about 6 yrs ago. They helped replace a junker about the samr time with a fantastic used expedition thats still going strong. When it came to replacing a vehicle this time around, we didnt think twice about going anywhere else. Not only are they respectful, but they arent going to sell you a bad for for your family and budget. Mike listened to us, made sure we didnt destroy ourselves. While we didnt leave with a truck.. we left with a new vehicle neither of us ever thought was possible. Again.. complete loyalty and wouldnt think to go anywhere else.

Hello Kevin and staff. The experience buying the new Cherokee was most likely the best I have had, and I have bought literally dozens of new vehicles. The vehicle was clean and prepared when we arrived. The staff was more than willing to answer our questions about the vehicle operation. We had a nice drive back to Joplin and then this past week we drove the Jeep to my granddaughters graduation from Vet school in Columbia. Nice drive and great fuel mileage. I purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler from John Hoffer roughly 2 months ago. The purchase was absolutely painless, the staff was easy to work with and there was zero pressure. Everyone from the sales staff, service, and the GM Kevin has been easy to work with and I couldnt be happier with my Jeep experience. I even had a unique trade in of 2 motorcycles and a boxster and they made it all painless. Will strongly advise to any friends looking for Jeeps.
Firstly, I had to take my car to this service department b/c my regular auto service place simply could not work on it. I had to go to the dealership to get it properly fixed... Regardless of the time period it took to fix, understandable having to order parts, etc... I was told that my car was FIXED and ready to be picked up...Not only was it NOT done, but there were NUMEROUS and NOTICEABLE scratches around two wheel-wells, and the inside and outside of my car was disgustingly dirty.I would not recommend taking your car to this service place if you take care of your car... i keep it PRISTINE. and I was seriously offended the way it was returned to me. Disrespectful and completely unacceptable.I am getting estimates to repair the damage to the wheel-wells, fender, and the paint job. Totally ruined. DISRESPECTFUL!!!

Excellent experience! My husband and I are a young couple that were looking to buy a bigger vehicle for our growing family. After being treated so rudely by Briggs Dodge Ram off Kansas Ave, John Hoffer Chrysler Jeep dealership was a breath of fresh air. They did not look at us as a young and dumb couple and never pushed anything on us that we did not want. Marlon Jones was our car dealer. My husband gave him a call about looking at a 2014 Dodge Durango and Marlon came in ON HIS DAY OFF to show us the car. Marlon brought the car up to the front of them building for us got it all nice a warm and cleaned the snow off for us to test drive it. The whole buying process was simple and easy. We got to talk to everyone in the dealership and they even playing with my son and making sure we were okay while we waited for the paper work. Everybody was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will diffidently go back to them for more business in the future.

This is a horrid place to buy a car. The service department, which they brag about, is pathetic.One year after purchasing a Jeep Renegade we are spending over $800 to repair something that has been ongoing since it was purchased. This was purported to be an excellent vehicle in top notch condition that is only two years old. I would not recommend John Hoffer to anyone.

I was having major problems with a water leak on a brand new Jeep Wrangler that I bought in Kansas City. The dealership I purchased it from in KC looked at it multiple times and couldnβt fix it or find the source of the leak. I finally took it to this dealership and they found the leak for me and got it fixed. Theyre really nice people & the service is great.

Ive purchased more than a few cars, both new and used, over the past 19 years from John Hoffer and Im the market for yet another one. John Hoffer is the first and only dealership I will walk into and do my business with here in Topeka. I have dealt with sales, service and even the body shop on a few occasions and I have always been treated fairly and have been happy with the work they have done on my cars. I have no reservations in recommending John Hoffer to my family or friends as to where their first stop should be when looking for a new or used vehicle.

I bought a used 2010 Jeep in October. I realize that used does mean used, but there hadnt been an oil change in 10,000 miles when I called to ask when the last one was. Now 5 months later, it started to make noise and come to find out there was a leak that needed attention. Again, stuff happens. It appears that there was a substance put in the radiator to stop a leak. Im pretty suspicious of John Hoffer mechanics patching it up to sell it quickly. Just my opinion, but I would recommend none of my close friends or family buy a vehicle here. They clearly do not look the vehicles over or do anything to ensure customer satisfaction.

I purchased a Jeep here and it was a huge mistake. They take care of you when they want your money, after that they hardly back their vehicles. I spent about $2500 on an alternator and a βmysteryβ c02 censor they never figured out. I ended up selling the car a year later. Horrible experience. Please buy a vehicle anywhere but here.

If I could give zero stars I would. What a joke and waste of my time. We looked at a used truck that they had for sale asked for the price and our sales lady said 35 something so we went home that night, ran numbers, and made it fit into our budget. Notified them that night that we will take it and be in tomorrow evening to do the final paperwork. That next evening we took it for a test drive, sat down in the office and discussed the price, once again was told it would be 35 something. When the negotiations started, they started the price at 41k. I dont see how it went from 35k to 41k overnight. Their word obviously doesnt mean anything, missed out on 8 hours of overtime and drive time. I would highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
Made an appointment for the two recalls on my 2016 Ram 1500, I called again the morning of. I showed up for the work for the TWO recalls, AFTER they did the FIRST one, they told me that they would have to order the part for the second recall. What a wast of my time. Made an appointment with Briggs Crysler for the next day! I will not go back to Hoffer.
Brought a car in with a cylinder not working. They only checked the signal and said the whole thing needed to be replaced. Took it elsewhere where they actually checked and it was simply wiring that needed replaced.
Every employee I talked to was very kind and understanding. They explained the recall on my jeep and what needed to be fixed.
Didnt have the wrench head needed to loosen a single bolt with a unique head put on the Chrysler by Chrysler on him, so told me to go to an auto store and purchase a full (expensive) set for myself. Great customer loyalty.
We bought a new Jeep Wrangler and couldnt be happier with the experience with John Hoffer. Jammie was our salesman and went out of his way to make sure we were 150% satisfied with our purchase.
I purchased a Chrysler 300 from them and after 1 month the windshield trim ripped off while driving. I gave them a call and they wont mess with it because they said they dont work on windshields, even though its only the trim. Not only that, but now that its summer, Ive finally been able to use the sunroof, just to find out something is broke inside the track and raddles when driving down the road.
They gave me an estimated time of 36 hours 8 days I showed up and parts where everywhere whowed up the day 9 same thing the excuse was thatβs being polished and that they would have it by the next day. Showed up the 10th day and it still wasnβt together till later on the day . Showed up they said it was ready and right away you could see a DENT on the door and scratch mark they did TERRIBLE experience! They never keep in touch with you about anything going on Matt Campbell is the manager at this Body Show terrible service!

About three months ago, I made a 2,200 mile round trip from the suburbs of Philadelphia to Kansas to buy a 2001 Dodge Viper GTS ACR. These cars are fairly rare, fewer than 250 exist worldwide that are fitted with anti-lock brakes, and the car is a bear to handle without them, so I took the opportunity when I saw the car at a bargain price online to fly out and get it. The dealership and the experience generally conformed to every positive Midwestern stereotype, meaning that everyone was outrageously friendly and helpful (they sent a limo to pick me up at the Airport in Missouri an hour away at their expense), and they were able to furnish me with good photographs and decent video of the car to help in my choice. The car was exactly as described, and they had no reservations about putting it up on a lift for me to inspect, or letting me take it on a test drive (if youve ever shopped for a high end sports car, you know that some dealers can have serious reservations about this).No surprises with the car, the pricing, or the experience, despite putting the deposit down sight unseen. The dealership owner and his wife came by to say hello, it was a great experience all around. The car survived the 1,100 mile drive home without a hickup, and although one of the harshest winters in decades has kept it in the garage for most of my ownership period, I still take it for a 15-minute drive on the highway whenever its dry and the salt has been washed off the road, it seems mechanically stout and in immaculate condition, exactly like they promised. This is not the first high-end car Ive bought over the internet, I bought my Corvette and three other cars this way, but this one was overall the smoothest and most enjoyable transaction. Definitely check out John Hoffer if you need a car (or, more likely, a truck. They had more pickups than this city boy had ever seen in one place)! Honest, straight-forward, reasonably priced, and friendly.
No stars. WORST service place ever! If you have issues with a Jeep of any kind, DO NOT TAKE vehicle here! Kept my Jeep 4 days for an alternator. NEVER called me to let me know anything! Still dont have part! Called Briggs Auto and guy put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and let me know that the part is no longer offered by manufacturer and I would have to go with an aftermarket product. John Hoffer still doesnt know why the part isnt delivered yet! Bunch of idiots! Oh and not to mention, their prices are VERY high compared to Briggs. Go to Briggs, only a couple miles away from this freakshow of a service center, John Hoffer. NEVER AGAIN! Worst Jeep Dealership I have ever been to! Wouldnt trust them with ANYTHING!!!!!
