I was recommended Genes by the mechanic at my place of employment. I tried a transmission shop in vallejo but got a bad diagnosis. I needed my truck for my trip across the US to NC. The torque wasnt locking up. They got everything working better than stock. We have push my truck straight through to the east side of Texas without incident. Thank you for fixing my truck.

They tried to tell me I needed a new transmission for$4000.00. cone to find out my transmission is perfect. Its my torque converter. A couple hundred dollars not $4000. Not honest. I bet they do this to Alot of people. Watch your back . Ask around first before believing in Randys transmission.

I had a Aisin core that I needed to get a little bit of money out of. I talked with Matt in parts and he gave me a very fare price. I own a ram with a 68rfe and had a few questions knowing how busy he probably is he did not seem rushed at all and answered all my questions I had. The guys at the front questions where very fast to get to me even tho they seemed like they had a never ending string of calls. Best customer service I have seen in a long time thank you Matt !!!

I had a stage 2 48re trans rebuilt in May 2020. Definite downside was wait time and the fact that they have zero estimation of wait time. One of the guys answer everyday is that they had a crazy day and then a bunch of excuses. Adrian at least gives it to you straight and tells you they are 3-4 weeks out (5 days after you drop your truck off for warranty service). But they stood behind their warranty and replaced parts at no charge that were leaking on my trans that were not originally a part of the rebuild I paid for. So expect to wait if you use these guys but you are waiting for one of the best performance transmission shops in the world.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews on businesses pages but I felt I needed to on this one. Had a local shop order my trans and install it. Drove it and changed the spin on filter like I was told at 1,500 miles. The trans did not even last the length of an oil change. Now it is under warranty but the shop has had my truck since January 4th. Said Randy’s is supposed to be sending a whole new valve body. Mind you this was on the 4TH of this month. The part still has not even made it to my local shop. Mistakes happen I know but the same thing happened when we originally ordered the trans and it took a few weeks to receive the flex plate. If I had known this I 100% would have went with a better transmission and DEFINITELY better customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could...Update:Look at every single one of the bad reviews on here. It’s always someone else’s fault. Yeah I will get a better trans and service but it’s not my fault you all forgot to ship a valve body, that’s 100% on you. Need to learn to own up to your mistakes like most and not divert it onto the customer. I wasn’t really saying you can’t build a trans but the service is definitely an issue.

My truck had started to get hot while towing my trailer recently, we had 2 trips scheduled back to back that I couldn’t afford not to have my truck working. Randy’s guys were able to get it In and diagnosed quickly and went through everything else to make sure I wouldn’t have any breakdowns, found a couple minor things I was happy to have them take care of at a very fair price. They were able to get everything taken care of in time for our next trip, did a very good job, used quality parts and I was so happy with how well they did and how professional they were that I’m going to have them replace my rotted out exhaust when we get back. All in all, they were great, very professional, did good quality work and at a very fair price and will be sure to get my business in the future. Thank you!!

This shop did an excellent job last year rebuilding and upgrading the transmission in my 2000 Jeep Cherokee, and recently replaced the gears in my rear differential. I have nothing but high praise for this shop and for the employees that work there. Excellent work, very good price!! Thank You for getting my hunting-rig rolling again, it climbs those hills like a goat!

After 3 trips, they could not make a simple manual transmission operate properly. I spent almost three thousand dollars and still have to take it somewhere else for its fourth transmission job in less than a year to get decent synchros put in it. One star is way more than I would actually rate this shop. Highly do not recommend. They will never touch my property again.

I have heard some very good things about Randys Transmission. Im in the market for a upgraded Allison 1000 for my 2003 lb7 Duramax. Im torn between Randys and a place in north prairie Wisconsin Kodiak trucks and ryans diesel service. I have heard great things about both of them so im torn but im only 5 min from Randys shop

Had a Randys transmission installed looking at reviews thought it would be a good one...it lasted less than 10,000 miles in 8 months. Was no where close to one of their shops they said i have to have it pulled shipped to them then they will try to determine what happened, ship it back if its their fault and let me pay to have it reinstalled. All the while I am paying for a rental car. Had the work done in Colorado now im in Arkansas.

Would recommend 10/10. Accepts juice boxes as payments on certain occasions and build top of the line transmissions. The quality of work is top notch. 👌

Best transmission shop in the state.Had my 2000 ford powerstroke done there and i am very pleased with the results. I had a issuue with it stalling on my and they helped me figur out it was the diff speed sensor know it runs like a dream.

Not impressed my truck has been in six times for warranty after spending $5000 to have a transmission rebuilt and sill as problems

Randy is the most honest, trustworthy and reliable businessman I have ever worked with. I dont do anything on my vehicle without Randys recommendation. Every transmission rebuild he has done for myself or for family members or friends has been perfect but I know for sure that if something ever went wrong he would make it right. The team at Randys helped get my CJ7 back on the trail. I brought it in earlier for a transmission leak and it didnt quite get fixed the first time around. Kind of a tricky issue, so i brought it back in and they were 100% professional about getting the original fix...well fixed. They listened to my concerns didnt fight me on anything and in the end were very generous in getting it done in a timely manner and so far so good. Thanks Randys Team! Randy rebuilt my trans on my powerstroke. After I had it for a week my tans started throwing codes. Randy towed it and repacked the whole trans on his dime. Come to find out my programmer was causing the issues. He and his team were friendly and super knowledgeable. I do and always will recommend Randys

I’ve been following Randy on social media mainly to follow the build of his race truck red delicious, but I finally took my truck in to get looked at after being messed up by another trans shop. I went in for a trans service and to have a couple things looked at, they ended up swapping a couple parts for me to help find my issues. They didn’t charge me much for the parts which I am very greatful for because after a week of driving these issues started happening again. I will be taking my truck back in soon to get these issues resolved. These guys know what they are doing and take care of their customers!

Randy was great to work with, and has some of the best customer service I have ever found. He kept me updated via phone call or text the whole time. He also adds an auxiliary cooler on trucks (maybe other vehicles too, but i toom a truck to him) so he doesnt have to worry about them coming back (NONE of the other transmission shops I talked to, when shopping around, though a cooler was necessary )

My experience with Randys transmissions in Tooele Utah was not good. After multiple other issues and with only about 28k miles on my rebuilt transmission (SUV commuter), they tell me that the clutches are worn out and they wanted $1200 to rebuild it again. Sounds fair right! Only half price! Well I Inspected the transmission, found no evidence of exessive clutch wear, changed fluid and filter and all is well. Saved me over $1200 dollars...Your experience may be different but I can not recommend them and I do recommend looking elsewhere.Follow up to owners response:Expert, no. Experienced, yes 24 years in vehicle maintenance. Yes, transmissions included.I just stated my experience with your company which at bare minimum was I paid top dollar for a transmission rebuild that by your diagnosis didnt make it to 30k miles or in my current opinion, isnt worn out and was misdiagnosed.Either way it was a bad experience and not money well spent. Certainly not one Im willing to throw another $1200 at.I wish you and your customers the very best but I hope none of them find their choice to be a waste of time and money like I did.

Randy built a badass 68rfe for my 6.7, I drove it cross country twice and on the way home the second time, something failed. I got it back to him and he ate the labor costs for a part he never even touched or was involved with the trans build.
