I took my Jeep in as I had issues with my shifter cable. They got it replaced for me as whoever owned my Jeep prior ghetto rigged it! 2 months later I had a bigger problem come up and was stressing out on a Sunday as I had a trip coming up. Brian, the owner reached out to me personally on a Sunday and offered to help in case it may be the replaced cable they had done. The next morning they got my car towed, fixed and assured me I could go on my trip at ease . Joel, the manager was a sweetheart to me. So was the towing man, and Brian made sure I was taken care of. The issue was my own error. But they still took care of me!While you dont want things happening to your vehicle after taking it to a shop, its really reassuring when it does happen and they have your back regardless.Ill be going to Autotech for any car necessities in the near future. Their prices are also reasonable and they are completely upfront with you- They really do care.

Brian Hall is a con man and a liar. Took my car in for brakes and they never installed new pads so the new rotors were damaged beyond repair and they wanted to charge me for the new ones too after they ruined them!

I towed my car to this place twice who claimed to have fixed my problem. My car has a new starter new battery and still wont start. It did for a while but I had to rock the car back and for to get the starter engaged. Clearly to a non professional mechanic it is an electrical issue. I do not recommend this place.

I took my car here last summer after it was having problems with acceleration and I was told it was not the transmission. They replaced my catalytic converter which fixed it for a couple months but then the issue came right back. After taking it to another shop I was informed that there was a blockage in that catalytic converter and the part was not even new. This all came as quite the surprise to me after paying $1300 for the initial fix, I would have expected the part to be new, now I get to pay another shop to complete the same repairs I was expecting the first time around.

Honestly, great place before changed ownership. Current ownership gave us great deal but it litterally took two months to get my car back, and ordered wrong or faulty parts on six different occasions. I had to call every time for an update. If I didnt call I would have never known when to get my vehicle back, probably would have never gotten it back at all. Two stars cause previous owners and workers were fabulous. Not so much the new ones.

I usually dont come on here, but I wanted to give praise where its dueI received a call from my wife while I was at work, she had car troubles and the car wont start.She had our little ones with her, they came to pick up medication for grandpa and got stuck. With everything that was going on I was really worried.She called Auto tech in Tooele, spoke with Joel and they came to my little family rescue.Joel came out with Chris to look at our car, they helped my wife get our car towed by Colin from Car tow and ontop of everything else they drove my family home.There is no words enough to express how much that means to me the safety of my family.Thank you Auto tech Joel and Chris for going above and beyond you have gained a loyal customer.If you ever need anything let us know.

Shout out to Brian Hall crew at Auto Tech. Literally the day before my road trip my mini van had my dash board light up better than Christmas tree. I took it in to Auto Tech and they help me get it back in running shape. When we realized it couldn’t be fix before I was schedule to leave their technician went the extra mile to offer ideas on rental cars. They kept me informed thru out the process, and I felt their rate was excellent considering all they had to do! Thanks again for finally giving me a good car repair story! And I’m happy to report my dashboard is light free now.

I took 3 vehicles into Autotech for repair within a 30 day period. I was pretty impressed with the first 2 repairs even if the cost seemed a little bit high. Brian (the owner) seemed really friendly and I thought that I had found a honest repair facility for my cars and trucks. Then on my Ford diesel the check charging system light came on. I went to Auto Zone to check it out. I was informed that my batteries were at 72% and that it was probably my alternator. They could not check the alternator with the batteries that low. I went to Brians shop and told them that Auto Zone had told me that my alternator was possibly bad but then Brians Diesel Mechanic told me that I needed new glow plugs and batteries. I was not sure about that diagnosis but Brian assured me that it was possible. When the work was finished over $800, I paid over the phone and picked up my truck (after hours on a Friday) The check charging system light was still on. I called and talked with Brian on Monday and he assured me that I would be taken care of. They did by putting in a new alternator for another $600+. Can you imagine that replacing my alternator worked??? I had paid Brian Over $800 dollars for work that was not needed. I cant help feeling betrayed and I will ever go back. I do not recommend Autotech in Tooele nor Brian the owner.

Ive had a ghost a/c leak for 2yrs in my Ram 1500. Neither Performance Auto Mall nor another mechanic could figure out the issue. These guys had my a/c up & running in about an hour! A month later-shes still going strong! Thanks guys!

Took in my Audi. It had already been to 2 different shops. They gave me a free diagnosis. It was all bad news... but Joel was so kind about it. While we were picking up, I inquired about a tire rotation cost and appointment for our Ford F350. They did the rotation on the spot. Amazing!They have been nothing but accommodating with our issues.

The reputation of this shop locally is almost legend so I had high hopes when I reached out for a bid. I first contacted the owner Brian who was very friendly and prompt in communication. He had his shop contact me the next day and I was again impressed with the friendly, prompt communication. I told them what I needed done and got a bid shortly after. The price was higher than I expected and compared to other bids I got. Initially, he did tell me theyd price match so after getting a bid in writing I reached back out to confirm they would honor the price. No response. Tried again. No answer. Tried again. Text. Called. Voicemail. Nothing. Reached out to Brian. He said contact the shop. Tried the shop. Again. No response. In the end, they made it an easy decision on where to take my car.

Chris and Joel have been so helpful! They fixed the original problem and told us to drive as much as possible to make sure nothing else arose. Another problem did occur, while we happened to be in salt lake. Chris drove all the way to where we broke down and fixed the issue, and even came back a second time when the check engine light came back on. Hands down the best service Ive ever encountered. This is a kind and honest shop that anyone would do well taking their car to.

We have never ever had a better experience at a mechanic shop than we did with Autotech. Everyone there is amazing and they make you feel like family. Prices are great too. They are very thorough so if something is going on with your vehicle they will let you know. They dont do anything without your permission so your not surprised when you go to pay the bill. So take a load off your mind when something goes wrong with your vehicle and give Autotech a call.

Honestly overall great people and customer service. But when it comes to fixing cars they don’t know how to listen to a customer. I went in the first time to get my water pump replaced and they did a great job, other than they caused an oil leak. When I brought it back in to fix the oil leak they replaced the water pump and didn’t fix the oil leak and wouldn’t listen to me when I said there was an oil leak. I will never take my car back to this shop because of that and when I got my car back the second time they didn’t fill up the coolant.

Autotech was absolutely fantastic. My car broke down 45 minutes into my 7 hour drive to Colorado. We thought maybe it was a blown head gasket, so I left it in SLC for a bit till I had some money. I came back to get it fixed a few weeks later and had it towed to them. They looked at it and determined that it was a much more simple issue that they fixed in 1 day. I picked it up the next morning, and Joel was concerned about me driving it back to Colorado. He had me drive it as much as possible before our trip back. Sure enough, it broke down due to a different issue, and I couldnt afford to tow it from SLC to Tooele, so he sent a tech, Chris, out to fix it where I was! He came down, went and bought the part, and repaired it in the parking lot we were broken down in. Then, I thought it was still broken when I drove off, so Chris met me again to check it out but it only needed coolant. The next day we left for Colorado and we made it no issues!! Hands down an amazing experience for something that is so stressful. I will always reccomend them to my Utah friends!

Fantastic customer service. These guys are by far the best in Utah. I called around and every other mechanic gave me a ridiculous diagnostic quote, saying my after market parts were to blame. These guys fixed the boost leak in my COBB stage 3 Focus ST. They diagnosed it and fixed the faulty charge pipe for 90.00. I will definitely be recommending these guys to my friends and family.

I cant say enough good things about Autotech. We decided to go to autotech after being quoted an outrageous amount for a simple fix. We were quoted less than half from the other auto repair shop. They were beyond thorough and after the job took longer than expected they stayed true to their original quote. Thank you Autotech! You have a customer for life!

Called around to a couple local shops. Every shop quoted me around $500 to install, except for Autotech, which quoted $414.I took my truck to Autotech because they were $100 cheaper than any other quote and their reviews are impeccable.That was a mistake. Autotech wound up taking apart my differential improperly, resulting in unrepairable damage to my differential. (This started from day one)Autotech called me and reported my vehicle as ready to pick up (after 6 weeks) with the gears howling and the differential throwing gear lube all over the place. (This was after 6 weeks of waiting)It was at that time Brian Hall (the owner of Autotech) did the right thing and agreed to have the dealership correct his shops mistakes.The dealership had my truck for 3 more weeks waiting for Autotechs outsourced differential rebuilder to rebuild my differential to dealership approval.Once the dealership had the complete differential, they completed the job same day.This was my experience. I recommend nobody with similar work bring their vehicle to Autotech. They are not competent to perform work on differentials or setting gear lash.My final bill from Autotech after paying for destroyed bearings and other possibly unnecessary charges was over $800. (Twice the original quote out the door.)

I was told I needed to replace my motor... after replacing motor it still did not fix the problem turned out it was a bad fuel pump. Cost me money and stress that was a waste of time.

TLDR; Took it in 5 times for the same issue, they couldnt fix it. Wasted $5000. Dont recommend.Theres a lot of praise within the community for autotech, and I was sorely disappointed.I took in my 2007 Chevy Equinox to check out a check engine light. Long story short, I took it into their shop 5 times within the span of a few weeks, because every time they returned it to me, it would break down almost immediately, and have to go back to the shop. Wasted nearly $5000. They said that it was just coincidence that it kept breaking down and that things that werent broken before, were now broken. I could not trust their work, and sold the car at a huge loss right afterwards.There were other small dishonest things that happened that was very shady. For example, the fourth time I took it in, Brian said that I needed OEM gas cap, and that autotech never uses generic cheap parts like others. But... The gas cap was installed do not recommend Autotech.

There tech made an error and blew the motor in my vehicle, then claimed it was something else, so we paid for repairs on a blown motor and now they refuse to contact us or take our calls. Sent straight to VM every-time I call. Just learned they put faulty parts in my vehicle and are attempting to commit fraud for a pretend warranty - I am out 10k because of these guys, yes I am filing a lawsuit, they are also not even a real LLC, they havent registered anything with the State. These guys are con-artists!!

AutoTech seriously saved our Christmas. It sounds cheesy but to cover the $700 repair we needed we were going to be returning everyones Christmas presents. AutoTech managed to find us the piece we needed and fixd the van for under 1/2 what the other place had quoted. We will never go anywhere else.

They helped me out in a bundle, with my 2000 Honda Accord, when the pinon and bracket came loose. Me being at a festival and +600 miles away from home the really pulled through and saved my A.

THESE GUYS ARE A JOKE!!!!FIRST OFF..THEY SAID THEY COULD DISARM THE ALARM SYSTEM ON MY RANGE ROVER. (NEVER HAPPENED), IT SAT FOR NEARLY A WEEK EVEN AFTER CHECKING UP ON IT NUMEROUS TIMES AND ASKING THEM WAT IS GOING ON WITH IT? SAME RESPONSE EVERY TIME WERE WORKING ON IT BS!!!. AFTER IT BEING DEAD BEHIND THEIR BUILDING FOR A WEEK IT ASTONISHINGLY STARTED THE DAY I WAS GOING TO GET IT REMOVED. I ASKED THAN DID THEY FIX IT AND THEY SAID THEY DIDNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE ALARM SYSTEM. SO THEY STILL CHARGED ME 200 DOLLARS EVEN THO THEY DID NOTHING TO MY SUV. LONG STORY SHORT.. HAD TO PAY ANOTHER 400 DOLLARS OUT OF MY POCKET TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO FIX IT.
