Mike, the service writer listen to me for what I expected to have done. He was extremely easy to communicate with and processed to get all the work done quickly and completely to my satisfaction. Mike did the interview very professionally and understood exactly what I needed done. I watched the tech Will take care of my service with the tires and he was very thorough and fast performing the service

Downs Ford was right there! I’m going on a road trip to see my brother. I called the service department to have my car checked out because it’s over a 1200 mile trip, one way and my oil change is due in Oct and the rep was very friendly and knowledgeable this was on Monday she gave me an appointment for the next day with a time of 1pm, Good thing! Yep, I needed front brakes and rotors and I had a nail in my tire. It’s all good! At first she couldnt find me in the system because of miscommunication about my appointment, but she got everything handled because I was there. She made sure everything was taken care of. Nice to have such a sweet lady! They were fast with doing the service. I would use them again if i needed to.

I had a service appointment at 10 am, they were very friendly when I walked in and took care of me right away, I had an oil change, tires rotated and all 20 lug nuts replaced in less than an hour. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend 👍
Overall very good, Maria did a great job with doing a virtual viewing of the vehicle we ended up buying. Communication was prompt, and the vehicle was clean. Only problem were the hidden fees that were not disclosed until it was time to close, particularly an upgrade on the warranty for it passing a special inspection that added $900. Otherwise, all went well.

We were on vacation in LBI from Maryland. My daughters tire started SCREECHING the worst sound I have ever heard. We have a warranty on her car so we had to bring it to a Ford Dealership. God was looking down on us when I found DOWNS Ford. Joe, the service manager answered the phone and calmed me down and made the world be right!! I knew I was in good hands just from his calming voice. He then put me in touch a with Amanda. Who made me laugh as she sang a song. These people were amazing. They found that it was a silly pebble that got logged in between the rotor and tire. These people were pure heaven. If we ever have to buy a car we will drive up from MD. to buy a car from these amazing people!

Walked in for inquiry I made online, the lady I spoke i on the phone Stacy was pleasant and I expected the same when I arrived however the gentleman that greeted me was just not pleasant. He was giving me is honest opinion which I respect however I wanted to lease a car from them, and he told me it made no sense to do that, just finance. He also advised me not to go anywhere else to lease because it was a waste of time and money.. I went there to get the car appraised to see what I can get to see how much I can get for it, but never did, only gave me an option to leave a deposit for when the car I wanted arrived but there is wasn’t an eta. So I went down the street to Lester glen jeep, and I leased their vehicle for price that fit me. The part that bothered me was that I told him ideally would love to be in 4-500 ballpark, but was open to other options and unfortunately we didn’t get that far. Customer experience wasn’t there didn’t go the extra mile to give me other options or see what other vehicles I may be interested in. Must be just another number to this company if that’s how the employees treat their customers

I’m traveling cross country in my Transit 350 ‘stealth’ camper and need to rely on the service crew when ‘Vanda’ needs maintenance. Downs Ford provided good service on past trips and it was easy to plan my distance to be in Toms River and equally easy to schedule my appointment with Downs Ford’s service department. Everything that I wanted was done and the service tech even found a nest in the engine compartment that I blame on not traveling during Covid. I feel that the service team at Downs Ford works for and deserves a 5 star rating

Called a month ahead for service and loaner vehicle. Took my car in and they said I couldnt have one because none were left. No employee cared and they just stared at me even tho I told them I needed one in advance. Thanks for the terrible service and this literally reiterates why i will never own a ford again.Also talked to sales. They said I could test drive a car. Went outside to talk to my wife and then when i came back in they told me i couldnt? I have no idea what is wrong with the people that work at downs ford but this place literally the worse service i have ever encountered. If i could give zero stars I would.

I purchased my Ford Escape from Downs Ford 2 years ago and all my servicing has been done by their Service Department. Everyone that Ive dealt with has been courteous, helpful and informative. I recently had to have my car towed to the dealership but had a problem with Ford Roadside Assistance--they told me my car (which is still under warranty) could not be towed there and that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for what should have been a courtesy service. I called Mike in the Service Dept. and he took care of it for me immediately! Ill never take my care anywhere else!
The Vehicle I bought is working like a vehicle so thats good. Sales rep was nice to talk to and worked with me. The only thing that caused the stars to go down was a discrepancy on my part and not understanding but I wouldnt have bought the vehicle if I was explained the loan situation properly. Essentially after all the hidden fees Im paying about twice as much on the total then I originally thought I was. Aside from that added stress for the next several years, experience was good.

My experience at Downs Ford was a very good one. I arranged for a test drive on a CPO F-150 and when I arrived at the dealership, the vehicle was out front, prepped and ready. The salesman, Antonio Piano, was hassle-free and was very personable and professional. I went in the dealership with the intention of possibly purchasing the truck but the positive attitudes and overall friendliness of Antonio and the manager (forgot the name, sorry) made the experience one that was pleasurable, which often isn’t the Case at a dealership!

Dealer was very busy so it was a little chaotic at first. I didn’t know which service writer was mine and I began checking in and a couple minutes later he sent me to another service writer to begin the process all over. After that it was all good. Service was done quickly and neatly. Check out process was a breeze. It was my first time at this dealership and I will return.

Experience is ok every time taking truck for FULL service. Few times windshield washer fluid wasn’t topped off. Communication is good! I would rate it higher if they took the time to wash vehicle when finished they have detailers on-site everyday, like Chapman Ford does. Chapman Ford washes every vehicle after service no matter what grade service you get. It’s the little things that get you a better rating.

They are always helpful. They explain everything that needs to be done, always ask before doing any work. They will leave recommendations for things that need to be addressed on the next visit so you arent blindsided when you come in the next time. They dont try and take advantage of you. I will definitely look to them the next time I am looking to buy another vehicle just because of the service area.

I brought my car in for service to the power steering fixed under extended warranty. After 5 days, I got my car back. Now it made a groaning noise whenever you turn the wheel (wasn’t there before). I took it back and was told my steering column would need to be replaced. It was covered under my warranty, and they got my deductible waved. However, there was this boot that would need to be replaced during the repair that wouldn’t be covered (wearable part) and I’d have to pay $65. I argued that if the boot had to be removed for the repair, it should be covered. They would not waive the price so I said ok. I needed my car. Two days later Downs Ford called me to say the the boot didn’t come in yet. Being Friday, I picked up my car for the weekend. I was told that they would call when the part came in. During the weekend I did a little research and found that if I put a little grease on said boot the noise would go away. I tried that and lo and behold I no longer have a groan when I turn my wheel. It is now Tuesday and no call from service. WHY WAS DOWNS FORD REPLACING MY STEERING COLUMN FOR A JOB THAT JUST NEEDED A LITTLE GREASE?!?! Hmmmm....7/06/2021 - Update - After my service with Downs Ford, my Taurus developed an exhaust lead. Slow at first, then louder as the week pasted. I took it to Firestone for evaluation. Firestone told me someone loosened the bolts on the flange. They said it was very strange, and had it been somewhere for service. Hmmm..... NEVER AGAIN DOWNS FORD!!! If youre thinking of going there, DONT!!!
I needed to have 2 recalls done on my car, I called Downs Ford and received my appointment within 2 days. I felt very safe in the service department as everyone was wearing masks and there was multiple bottles of hand sanitizer for use. The people at the service department were very professional and friendly, they kept me informed and did not try to talk me into any additional service work. I highly recommend Downs Ford for any service on your Ford.

Recently stopped in to purchase a vehicle. Noticed a good deal on Carfax. When I arrived I didn’t mention deal. After discussing cost with dealer, it was at least $6000 more. We walked out. Went back on Carfax and entered my name, phone, not 5 minutes went by and phone rang. Quoted $3000 more than what was advertised. Stay away, crooks, snake oil sales people. They actually called me again to let me know car was sold and if I would be interested in something else that they need to unload. Ha! Not a chance would this dealership get a red cent from my pocket. Run away. Don’t even give them the opportunity

Appointment times mean very little here for service. I had a 10am appointment for a factory recall and oil change. I left at noon after my truck was still sitting in the parking lot, untouched. This is worse than my very busy doctor office. This was not a last minute walk-in to wait for a service opening. The appointment was set the prior week. No thanks.
