Definitely one of the better lifetimes in the area. More classes than Scottsdale and Happy Valley with fun instructors. The rock climbing wall is actually open unlike the Scottsdale location. The pool has a nice basketball net and play area for kids. There are tennis courts. The gym floor is slightly smaller but seems very complete.

Would get a five but they took COVID way too lightly.

Good Job Lifetime for having Tyler at your front desk. Tyler has that supernatural glow that surrounds a person who is vibing high. I am so thankful that Tyler is first person I see every morning after I leave my house. His positive attitude and energy is intoxicating.Added bonus with Tyler, is that he always has on an exciting new tie or bow tie to match his shining personality. We all absolutely look forward to Tyler’s ties. Tyler also remembers and greets everyone by their name. Tyler is a fantastic asset to the Lifetime family team! Thanks!

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed! This was my first time to Life Time and I was impressed with the facility. I was even MORE impressed with the staff! It was so refreshing to see people actually enjoying their work! The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive (without being obtrusive!). Very positive experience!!

Today I dealt with Lifetime for the last time regrettably and was expecting a huge hassle to cancel my membership with them as I was no longer able to attend a club due to a recent move. The first rep I spoke to was Jonathon and he assured me that all would be well. There was a miscommunication on the email and I called back to straighten it out and Laurie was able to help take care of my request. I have to say that this was the best experience I have ever had with customer service. I would 1000% recommend this club and cannot thank them enough for their service and hospitality. I will definitely be back if I ever move near a club.

Just joined. Lifetime is fantastic, the yoga classes are great, the staff are always friendly, professional and willing to help. Very clean. My only complaint comes from some of the members. Most are nice but there are the “select” few that feel entitled to walk around with their nose buried in their cell phone and refuse to watch where they’re going or the occasional middle aged guy who thinks he’s above holding the door for someone. Yes, these people are everywhere, however I was hoping to escape that attitude at Lifetime. Still hopeful. 🙏With the exception of some of the members attitudes it’s a great place to work out. ✌️

I was able to sign up on line for my membership and had a free onboarding session with a trainer. My trainer (Germain) was EXCEPTIONAL! I went in feeling like I really didnt want to workout. But after doing a 30 minute workout with my trainer, I left feeling invigorated and looking forward to my next session.

Very nice! Clean facilities and enough sanitizing supplies for everyone. It wasnt very crowded when I went so distancing was just fine. And everyone respected the space.Gret place to get a full gym/spa experience!

If you’re looking for a personal trainer, there is absolutely no one better than Germaine May. I’ve had many trainers in the past, but I’ve never been educated about my body when it comes to nutrition, maximizing my strength while building muscle mass and losing body fat. In just 12 weeks with Germaine, I dropped 30 pounds (mostly gained from all the COVID weight), put on muscle mass, and leaned out from 18.8% body fat to now an all time low in my life of 8.7%. I’ve never looked or felt better, and can even see my abs for the first time in over a decade. Trust me - there is no one better to help motivate, coach and push you to where you need to be. As a gym, Lifetime is also excellent.

This place is top notch. I even enrolled my 6yr old in the daycare and always took her swimming here. I love the sauna room and all of the activities and different exercise equipment. My husband relocated in the military and i stopped going in 2019. Ill definitely be coming back.

Im giving 3 stars only because Im a squash player and seems like the management cares very little of maintaining the courts and promoting squash events. They have reduced from 4 squash courts to only 2. The rest of the club is very well maintained but the squash courts are neglected. Floors are too dirty that now need to be sanded.Everything else is very good, facility, workout area and equipment, pool and spas very well maintained. Just please treat everything else with the same care (squash courts)

Took a tour. I was especially interested in the pools - both indoor and outdoor. Very large facility with lots of options. Very pricey, but I signed up anyway. Since it is a month to month membership and I can cancel anytime with 30 days notice, if I later decide its not for me, dropping will be easy.

Cost is too much for me to join but I love coming as a guest when I can. They are always professional and kind with so many options

As others have stated - its a nice facility. But the way Lifetime is runningtheir operations now are the problem. Customer service is a complete and total after thought. They cancelled out my membership 3 days after I paid $120 to re-instate it. Then told me I had a previous balance -but had no idea what the balance even was . Apparently they dont need new clients. They have enough - and thats how they treat you. Furthermore they are for sure selling your data - your fingerprints and facial scans to other companies. So if thats what your all about then go to Lifetime.

Great gym to be a part of. You dont feel too close to anyone and there is never a wait for equipment, at least in my case. The team is extremely thorough when cleaning. If you have children this gym definitely offers a better experience for them.

I used to be a long time LA Fitness member because of the lower price. I finally made the switch the Lifetime and havent looked back since. Its true you get what you pay for! Lifetime is worth every penny for the clean environment, many amenities (lifeCafe, spa, tennis, rockwall etc), newer gym machines & all the equipment I could ever need. LifeTime feels a lot more enjoyable to go to than a regular gym. I also love their app its easy to use for tracking visits, scheduling classes & spa appointments

By far Lifetime gyms are the best around. Nothing is even close. You get what you pay for, so while its expensive compared to other gyms, you are getting a ton of stuff. Its well worth it especially if you live a healthy, fitness oriented lifestyle. You can spend all day at lifetime. Work out, play basketball, swim, shower, eat lunch, get a massage then a haircut. Sounds like a great day too me!

My second home. So many amenities. Its easy to understand why its crowded sometimes, but I dont know if I can go back to a gym thats not Lifetime.

I really enjoy this gym everyone does their own thing and super kind. The staff is also very friendly and helpful but the mostly allow you to enjoy the gym I love the Yoga classes but I haven’t had a chance to catch a class recently. It’s pricy for some but overall very worth it.

We have been thrilled with our overall experience at Lifetime fitness. The outdoor workout area allows us to strength train and do cardio in a safe, open environment. We have enjoyed tennis and swimming lessons for the kids.

Gym itself is awesome. Cafe not so much. I ordered and waited 30 min for them to start making my food. Countless people came in and ordered after and kept getting shakes prioritized over my order. 1 worker actually working while other walks around and socializes.

Lifetime Fitness is one of the best fitness centers I have ever been a part of. Kids club while you work out, or once a month for date night is a perk worth the money.But on top of that it has great equipment, excellent classes, really awesome trainers, and a killer set of pools, including a lap pool for the serious swimmers and a huge oasis pool for the family.I just wish they had one on my side of town so I didnt have to drive so far.

Large gym, judgmental staff. I was really hoping to give this place a positive review as the Lifetime fitness chain has always paid their group fitness instructors better than their competitors. Unfortunately while assessing the safe social distance before closing, staff was literally hiding at the front desk as I was leaving and made a loud shiver sound in disgust after saying goodnight. I’m not sure I want to go back to use the free pass, but I definitely will not be sharing any membership commissions or recommendations on this location. Very sad. A friend used to do massage therapy business here.

I attended a tour/guest day pass as I was planning to purchase a membership for myself, my husband, teenage stepson, and two small children. After the tour I locked my backpack/purse (including wallet, keys, and AirPod case) in a locker in the locker-room, and spent about 40 mins working out at the facility. When I returned to the locker-room, my personal items were gone. Management opened every single locker and my items were no-where to be found. I have filed a police report, and the police officer stated this happens ALL TIME. I spent less than 2 hours in a Lifetime facility and had my personal items locked up out of my site for 40 mins - $2500 worth of personal items were stolen. This is absolutely insane - all I got was an apology.

Quitting lifetime because of the terrible hours. They insist on closing at 10 and won’t extend their hours until midnight “due to Covid”, yet the gym is PACKED from 8-10. Good luck getting on a machine if you try to come before closing. Because the hours are limited, it is absolutely packed. You’ll end up waiting an hour just to get in the sauna. If they truly cared about Covid, they would extend hours to midnight so that everyone could social distance and spread out more. I’m not sure why they need 6 hours at night to deep clean. They could easily deep clean from midnight to 4am, but lifetime only cares about profit and not the comfort or convenience of their members. The manager will say that they will reevaluate hours when COVID goes down, however it is common science that COVID is not transferred on surfaces but rather by close contact with others. This is why it is so frustrating that it is packed from 6-10pm, but they refuse to extend gym hours to allow for more social distancing. Sauna has also broken 3 times in the last two months. This is not what you would expect from a premium gym. I’m excited to go to the 24 hour brand new EOS across the street. Won’t be returning to Lifetime until they extend their hours.

I’ve joined other gyms and Lifetime is the best around. It’s pricey but worth it. The gym is very clean and offers a wide variety of equipment.

Love Lifetime. When I 1st came here I thought it was just another gym but it really is a lot more. The spa is great and I get my hair cut here by Toni who does a great job. The indoor and outdoor pool make a huge difference during times when weather doesnt agree with swimming. 2 full basketball courts and so much more. I could really keep going but you get it. My vote for beat gym in the valley.

OMG! This is the ULTIMATE GYM!! Granted, most of the workout equipment and services were shut down because of COVID but the pools were open and great. I love that they have the whole family in mind with adult and kids activities and pools.

Been a member there since the building was built probably about 20 years, ago. I like the way theyre handling the pandemic. Went this morning, early like 9:00 a.m. The indoor pool was empty. But the air was quite stagnant. Decided to go outside and take a look at the outdoor pool for swimming. There were two people in there but decided to swim outside, anyway.

Nice place. Clean, amenities are great. It has become way too crowded including group paid classes taking up valuable real estate. They need there own room.

Worst gym experience.My fiance and I got free one day passes to try this gym out.. we were recommended by a current member. We received an email to head in and speak to someone to activate or day passes. So, we go... Dressed to work out and advise the young front desk man of our pass. He immediately discredits the free pass and says we now have to pay 30$ per person... After explaining why we were there, he now has his manager on a walkie on his way to grab us... We are forced into a back office and 1. Tried to be forced into signed up for a 150$ membership today.. and 2. Accused of being freeloaders who have no right I these one day passes. I felt like a criminal for using a feature of their website. We were kicked off the basketball court for childs birthday party... Yes, a childs birthday party being thrown at a gym... The nicest thing I have to say is that I will NEVER be a member of this gym and I dont recommend any new comers look this direction either.

Lifetime Fitness, Tempe has everything I need...weights, classes, excellent Life Cafe and Life Spa. Ive been a member since its opening in 2003. The kind, friendly, family atmosphere is changing. So much turnover with employees, lack of familiar faces, and seeming focus on corporate numbers instead of people. Teach young employees to reach out, make eye contact, work with members and remember them. As long time members, we miss that atmosphere.

By far my favorite place to be. Wish I had more time to be here but with my work schedule its hard to find time. Fitness facilities are great. The spa is amazing I dont remember the lady who did my hair but she was amazing, she had shoulder length brown hair. Staff at the front desk could be more inviting it sometimes seems your bothering them if you talk to them when they are just standing there. Bart got me my membership a couple months ago he is very nice and constantly reaches out to me to see how everything is going. I absolutely love this gym

Lifetime Fitness is the best gym in Tempe without a doubt. Its alwaysvery clean and the equipment is top of the line. There is so many choices of things to do at this gym I always end up staying a few hours. JASON has been exceptional and is has been the highlight of my experience. He exceeds expectations and has made me feel so welcome at Lifetime. I would recommend this gym to my friends and family.

This is the nicest gym I have been to. It’s always clean and staff is friendly. It gets very crowded, but they have a lot to offer. I worked with Germain for a while on fitness goals. He was amazing. I attended one spin class which I think could definitely improve.

My wife and I have been members here for 10 years. Over those years we have had so many problems with their policies for putting memberships on hold, flex as my wife and I travel out of the country a lot. The most recent problem my account was on Flex, and nobody told me that flex is only good for 9 months. I discovered they have been billing me full price for 6 months and wont even credit it back. I have not been in the gym at all. Its always been a nightmare with this gym with membership. To much over billing here. Its an expensive gym and they love to stick it to you with all the fees they can. They also want to make you jump through a lot of hoops to cancel your membership, even when you call memberships service. I was just told on the phone they dont do cancellation through email, yet an hour before I cancelled 1 membership through email. Enough is enough, they are losing 2 memberships over this. It is a nice gym but highly overpriced to begin with and not worth all the billing issues with them.

My friend is a member and she adores it. I was given a full day pass and the Sales Manager Steve is great. Make sure to try swimming laps, the steam bath, spa and other games. Its also family/kid friendly. Saturdays are nasty crowded and you may want to avoid that. Definitely would recommend it.

I started my gym membership just a few days ago and had my first yoga class. Rachel was so kind and easy to follow for a first timer like myself. Every staff member was welcoming and made me feel like I was the only member in the club. Top notch service and worth every penny. I’m so excited to get the full experience and get use of the full facility. Great job lifetime fitness for creating a enjoyable and positive gym environment.

Clean, great staff, amazing building

As a loyal lifetime fitness member for the past four years i have come to a breaking point! my experience so far has always been positive but from about 2 weeks back issues have stacked. my wife has complained several time to your management which to this point has proved it self incompetent to solve any o the issue listed below. Over worked staff, unorganized female dressing rooms, which constantly have dirty and smelly restrooms. a month back these issues were nonexistent. there would always be more than enough clean and nicely folded towels, clean and fresh scented restrooms, and clean showers. we would always be welcomed by this this nice white male and friendly Hispanic woman every Saturday morning. overall this place is collapsing i pay an expansive fee therefore i at least expect cleanliness in return. i hope proper actions are taken to solve this issues.. thank you and warmest regards.

The gym itself is top notch. I had car trouble tonight and McKenzie from the Salon was able to save me a ton of trouble trying to find distilled water. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean, tons of equipment...i mean honestly, is there some nicer gym youre expecting better quality from?

Normal gym, been steadily getting busier and they keep raising fees without any improvement in quality. Make it difficult to cancel membership, charged me a month after it was cancelled. Other then that its fine.

This is definitely better then some other gyms in the area if you come in after 6pm it will be crowded. The staff by the locker rooms are great specially if your having issues with your lock. Only issue is when they have group workouts most of the dumbbells between 15lbs- 30lbs are usually taken so if you plan on using them try to come prior or after that. Some of the members tend to try to take up different equipment by placing items on them which gets annoying when they disappear for a while and leave there stuff on a bench. The outdoor lap pool and sauna are great! another bad thing is the prices keep going up they dont keep you at your old rate when you sign up.

Amazing gym! Ive been to a lot of gyms in my life time and this one is one of the best. Its clean, great locker rooms and has an indoor and outdoor pool. Every machine you need and the classes have great instructors! Only downside is its crowded most of the time but that happens everywhere.

I would give the staff at this gym a zero. I have never in all of my life had such poor service. My son lost his wallet so he called them to ask if they had seen it or if it had been handed in. We were told that we would need to call the next day because it was just after 4pm and at 4pm the lost and found was locked up for the day. The person that answered the phone clearly did not want to help. There is never a manager there, when you ask they have left for the day regardless of the time you call. We tried to cancel his membership we were told we had to go in so we went in multiple times and there was nobody there who could take care of that for us. 3 months later they continued to charge us but still had nobody to cancel the membership. Then covid happened. When they reopened we again tried to cancel and were told we would have to pay a $10 fee because we were not giving a 30 day notice. They actually charge us $33 on my sons bank card and not $10 like we were told. Again nobody can help us or even wants to. I am taking this further than a review as it is absolutely appalling the level or service or lack there of. My son is disabled also and the way he was treated was unacceptable. The staff here can look forward to a formal complaint, being reported to the BBB and going to 3 on your side TV. You have people representing your brand like that wow.

Best Gym In the area. More Country Club than Gym. Equipment is always maintained. There is so much to choose from that you are never waiting. Unlimited access to towels means no sweat soaked equipment. The locker rooms are constantly cleaned and picked up. Love the steam room, sauna, and pools. The classes are great. They stay relevant to the newest workouts. I also enjoy the monthly magazine that is included with my membership. Its better than any other Health related magazine available. This is an upscale gym with upscale members. I absolutely love this place!

Call this my second home :) My children and I enjoy everything thats offered here...from the pool slides and rock climbing to lounging in the cafe area...its worth every penny. My kiddos Love the Kids Center, Im able to concentrate on my workout worry free (Trey is super Awesome btw). Steven signed me up and for 2 years straight every time he sees my kiddos, he gives them a High Five or friendly acknowledgement. The staff is super nice and the place is Always clean, I definitely agree about bringing your own slippers for the Sauna and pool area though. All in All, 5 stars and s/o to all the staff members for all your support and everything you do to make my time here Awesome! *hugs*

Disappointed at how they are handling the canceling of memberships during COVID. I broke my leg so had to put my membership on hold because of the surgery I had in January. Now that its May, Im able to lift weights again but COVID is going on and there are way too many people that go to Lifetime so it really makes no sense to start back up there. I have been going into a small, local gym that only has a few people in there at a time and its way more safe. I do miss some of the equipment at Lifetime but with COVID, it makes no sense. Lifetime should have more flexible policies during COVID because I actually do like the gym and hope to go back there once COVID is over, but how they have behaved in this situation is pretty shady. Unsure if I will ever sign up again with them. Not cool to have to wait 30 days to cancel your membership when someone isnt even comfortable going into the gym during a freakin world pandemic.

They hire fun instructors but but as a company they seem to never fail to find new ways to introduce inconvenience through parking, amenities, or even tech failure. I’ve finally quit and gone to another gym that’s 1/3 the cost and has facilities that are way more convenient. Totally willing to pay 3x more than other gyms, but not when the service sucks that badly.

Lifetime Fitness has a terrible cancellation policy. I went to cancel and they informed me that there is a 30 day policy to cancel. Their excuse is that since every other gym does it its ok for them to do so. First off I dont believe this is true after looking into other gyms, some do some dont. Second, this is a very high-end health club, their goal should be to set the standard and do whats right for the customer. At $60 a month per person, which is lower than a lot of other Lifetime clubs, a hundred dollars is not going to impact their bottom line. Now since they forced me to pay, they got their money now and are losing the possibility for me being a future member. Congratulations for making a few dollars, you now lost out on the possibility of making thousands more from me.

Lifetime fitness is by far my favorite family gym. I have tried several but nothing compare to lifetime. The staff in the child Care are just amazing! They are super friendly and enjoy working with kids. I feel my kids are in good hands and that makes me feel extremely good since my son has medical issues. They are quick to contact you if your child needs you. I have had a really good experience with the swim lessons there to. They are super reasonably priced incomparison to other swim places. Most classes only have 2 or 3 kids. I think sometimes my kids have basically had private lessons . I think that was due to absences of another child. But still its nice that the ratio is low.

Getting chemotherapy for Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Called to make a simple adjustment to my family membership. Brandon Amaro, my Sales Rep since we joined Life Time, said hed call me back right away when I explained to him the situation. He never called me back or returned my subsequent text messages. He has been flaky in our previous interactions, but I thought hed be more professional in this instance given the gravity of my situation. Lily Blaser (and Lauren) stepped in when Brandon went MIA, and did a great job helping me to make this simple change to our family membership. Thanks, Lily and Lauren!

Not a member of the gym, I only go there to get my hair cut. Brittney B. is the absolute best hairs stylist a guy or gal could ask for! She cares about your needs and wants and is absolutely amazing at what she does. So if you need a little off the top, fade, or a full color and cut GO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH BRITTNEY B! you wont regret it.

I have never found a gym I actually liked going to I would always just pay and never go until I came to lifetime . Hands down one of the best gyms and for the $62 membership I definitely get my money’s worth the classes are amazing it is very clean and so many activities for not just me but the whole family .
