My first time and last one in this store . I scheduled an appointment for 4:00pm at the morning of the same day then when I get there at 3:55 pm he is telling me that it’s going to be a few hours to get my tires rotated. Does somebody understand what an appointment is for?? Does someone there knows that everybody’s time is valuable. What an incompetent employees this store has. Not recommend at all

Made an appointment for 1 pm actually dropped the car off at 10 am and even though the car was there for a flat tire. I was not told the state of my car till my 3rd time calling. Do not bring your car here. Brought my car in for a simple tire alignment, they kept it for over 24 hours and when I called after a day they were just putting my car in the air. After telling me my car would be the first car worked on that day. Keep my car for over 24 hours for a 2 hour job? And its not even started?

I made an appointment for a tire replacement. Was told the tire was ordered. Waited almost 2 weeks. I never received a call back from the store manager with whom I dealt with. Poor customer service.

I go here for everything possible. I called to get an inspection on the car. Because I was traveling to PA. They for me in two days later. Checked and told me there was nothing to fix. I then only paid for a regular maintenance on the vehicle.

My tire kept losing pressure. I brought my car here. After a first assessment, they told me they could not repair it and I agreed to replace it. After two hours they called me again and told me they found a way to repair it for just $50. The tire is no longer losing pressure. I value honesty and integrity. They could have just replace it (I had agreed with that) and charged me four times as much. Instead they pursued a solution and found it. Any problem I have in future, this is the place where I will go.

Brought my car in for an oil change and ended up also getting my brakes redone (now that it’s done, it was very noticeably needed). Everyone there was great. I worked with Mike in the office and he was an absolute delight. I’ve been going to Tires Plus for a long time but it was definitely one of my best experiences there.

They are fast and their prices are really fair. But most important, they are honest. I recently had to get a jump start. I took the car for inspection to see whether the car needed a new battery or there was any other problem. After they made several test and inspections they came to the conclusion that the car did not need anything and the jump-start may had been due to a temporary overuse of the battery ( door lights all night, etc). They did not charge me a penny and the car has been working fine for days. I also do all my oil changes and maintance there and they are always very professional and fast.

I got a nail in my tire, they claimed I needed all new tires. The car only has 13000 miles on it. Olin Mott up the street fixed it for $36. Avoid tires plus like the plague.

Went to get a tire stem replaced and was told I had to wait. It could not possibly take more than 15 minutes.

Paid around $600 to get my brakes replaced and they WONT STOP SQUEAKING. Before I replaced them, they didnt squeak at all. Its truly an aweful sound to deal with. I went back a second to tell them about this issue, and they still didnt fix it. Now Im driving around with the worlds loudest breaks because I dont want to have to pay someone else a lump sum of cash to fix them and still possibly have to deal with the annoying sound if not some other issue. Super disappointed, I used to love this place and recommended it to everyone.

My daughter took her car to Tires Plus on West Kennedy for a tire that has been having a slow leak .They took expert care of her in a timely manner and were very friendly and helpful. they were able to just fix the tire and do an alignment for a very reasonable price. It is within walking distance to University of Tampa and they were even nice enough to review the work with me over the phone! Definitely recommend this place for tires!

DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE. Apart from being extremely rude and short, they are desperate for a quick buck. Checked my tires before dropping off for a tire rotation only to be called by their staff to say you have a nail in your tire thats beyond repair and you need to buy a new one. When I asked to clarify because I had specifically checked my tires, his reply was Do I look like I put nails in tires? You can come grab your car as it is if you want. The cherry on top was the general manager reaching out only to say sorry but I trust my guys. Very disgraceful and dishonest service. Youre stereotypical mechanic shop scam.

Every time I have walked in to Tires Plus, I am helped immediately, all the staff is nice, and honest. They (Michael and other manager) are always extremely helpful, and will explain things in layman terms for those of us who are not as knowledgeable. Highly recommend! GREAT customer service, and quick work.

Ive gone to Tires Plus West Kennedy location for many different services including, getting new tires, changing oil, and other routine maintenance. I have had a lot of problems in the past with chain automotive repair centers (pep boys, local mechanics, and even other tires plus locations) being dishonest and charging unfair prices. The staff at Tires Plus on Kennedy seem to be very honest, helpful, and understanding. I have never felt like I was being scammed or ripped off. I have always been extremely satisfied with my service there. Thank you guys so much, special shout out to Alex and Will who I remember specifically for helping me out directly.

Don’t go here! The employees are rude and act like they could care less about your business. I was called a liar 3 times after returning for the third time in a few months because their balancing has been done incorrectly each time. They tried to tell me I’ve never been there before even though I could see my name pull up in their computer and I had the receipt. They’re extremely dishonest.

These guys are great. I had my vehicle towed in with a flat after 7PM in the evening, Rob and team had it out the next morning with a brand new, balanced tire by 9:40 AM. Under promise and over deliver. Ive had other good experiences with this shop, I definitely will return.

DONT GO TO TIRES PLUS IF YOU ARE A FEMALE! I took my daughters vehicle in to have the radiator looked at and they gave us a quote for over $700 to replace a lot of stuff that is working just fine. I guess they assumed that since we were females, we didnt know enough to know this was a rip off. All we needed was $200 worth of work, which was done at a nice, honest, locally owned shop.

Went there because if car issues, Scott took care of me and had great customer service. Would highly recommend! Have issues with you car? Ask for Scott hell figure it out.

Rob, the store manager, runs that place better than any car shop Ive ever been to. They handle WAY more than just new tire purchase. I bought four tires for my Corvette and they were not cheap, but they havent kept air in them since they were put on. NOT HAPPY !!

This used to be my go-to stop for all my automotive maintenance needs. In the last 90 days, the attitude of this store has changed exponentially. I have been point blank refused service on my car, and I have been told that in 5 hours they could not find time for an oil change. Go somewhere else, this store just wants to sell tires and they have no time for mundane maintenance work. The shop is infested with rats and your health may be at risk if you spend an extended time waiting on service... which you will.

Went in needing to fit a tire to a wheel. Turned out the wheel has a bubble on it and was unusable. Even after the work, I wasnt charged for labor. Not too many places extend that courtesy anymore. Definitely won my business

Been coming here 10+ years. Rob and team have always treated me fair. Theyre honest and direct, which is exactly what you want from a repair shop.Example: Once thought I needed new tires. Robs team did a diagnosis and informed me that Ive actually got another 10k or so on the tread, and I could take advantage of a deal on 4 new that day, or wait until my next visit to consider. Now, how many shops would be that honest? To my knowledge, only this one.

This Tires Plus was recommended to me by one of my professors, and I am very thankful for the recommendation. I have gone to them twice now for major repairs and they have always been awesome. The first time I went in, they noticed something wrong with my car that was mis-diagnosed or completely ignored at other repair shops and was a serious problem. I noticed an instant difference when they fixed it. They explain to you what is going wrong with your car, are honest, automatically let you know what fix is most important, and they are great to their customers. I trust them with my car and would recommend them to anyone.

Dont waste your time! I scheduled an oil change and stressed that I must have a Carco inspection for new insurance completed at the same time. The person making the appointment assured me that wouldnt be a problem. I arrive for my appointment, and the guy at the counter says they have no forms for the inspection. I scheduled my morning off to take care of this, and it is a complete waste of time.

I guess I have to give one star, but I would give zero if I could. Dont trust these people. Sure getting two new tires and an alignment was quick and easy, but I wouldnt trust them at all. First I was told the tires I wanted were only available in Lakeland, and the guy at the counter tried to upsell me on on these $80 tires instead. I turned down the up sell to wait. It was no big deal waiting for the tires since I was dropping off my car and going to work. Funny thing was two hours later I was called and my car was ready. Sounds like the tires were available all along. I was then told all this work had to be down on my car which totaled to over $1200. I went to my old mechanic in Gulfport instead. It turns out it was only two sensors and the total work was just under $500. Looks like its worth the drive to Gulfport over driving down the street to these bandits!!!!

Had to come back 8 times for simple tire replacement. For a place that specializes in tires, they clearly have no idea what they are doing. Not only can they not do their job correctly, the customer service is terrible. Ive never been somewhere where I have been so disrespected when it was their mistake. DO NOT COME HERE

Have gone here for years but last Thursday 10/19 was terribly frustrating service. I made an appointment in person at the shop 24 hours in advance to put on 3 new stock tires on my Escalade. When I got there at 10:55, they told me the tires had not arrived but should be there within the hour. I told them I had to have the car back by 1:30 for a very important meeting. When I called at 1:15 they had not even started on my truck. I returned to pick up my car after 2.5 hours with nothing done.

Completely dishonest! I dropped off a car to have a flat tire repaired, and was told via phone a few hours later that the puncture was too close to the edge for a patch job. According to Alfredo it was an impossible fix and I needed a new tire, as well as another new tire for the other side of the car and a host of other jobs. What Alfredo didn’t know is that I had seen the screw in my tire and that I had taken a photograph of it (it was practically in the center). I drove it to another shop and they repaired it in 15 minutes without any difficulty for under 15 bucks.

I had a unique situation where I needed some assistance with my Genuine Blur scooter. I didnt need tires, or an oil change, in fact all I needed was some help with 3 hex bolts on the scooter that for the life of me I couldnt unscrew. They were on so tight that all of the tools I had at home just couldnt make them budge. I was greeted quickly inside the lobby and I showed them what I was working with back out in their driveway. John came out from the garage area and helped me finish the job. Again, this was totally voluntary on their part, I was simply asking for help because I figured theyd have the tools, and they did. Couldnt ask for a better experience; thank you again Tires Plus on Kennedy!

Called ahead the day before to schedule an appointment and confirm they had my tires in stock. Appointment was scheduled for the morning, tires were reserved and told it would take one hour. I showed up exactly on time. Ended up taking 4 hours, didnt even begin to work on my car until nearly 3.5 hours after I arrived. So much making an appointment.They offer a 1 hour guarantee, however as I purchased the more expensive premium tires, I did not qualify for the guarantee.

We are Naples residents. Had driven to Tampa on a Sunday, and noticed our car was pulling severely to the left. Once off the interstate, the car was shaking and shuddering very badly. Being a Sunday morning, I was really afraid finding a shop might be tough... and driving 3 hours south in the vehicle was going to be dangerous. Called this location, RJ was super friendly and got us in within 10 minutes. We had a tire separating on the inside -- so they replaced it and got us back on the road (completely with an oil change) in less than 2 hours. These guys were lifesavers!

I had my gasket and oil pan repaired here which took 3 days. The leak returned promptly and a second opinion from a different mechanic stated the work was done improperly and if the repair had been performed in the same manner at his shop it would be a fireable offense. It sucks to spend hundreds of dollars on a repair only to have to have it performed elsewhere to make it right.

Update: Mike, the manager personally contacted me and explained that the battery diagnostic fee imposed by Jonathan was indeed an error and contrary to what he (Mike) wanted. He apologized and refunded the fee.While the fee was not huge, it is an unsavory business practice and I was willing to not use Tires Plus again over it. I hope and believe that the fee was an error on the part of Jonathan.-----I have used this place for years, and they are usually good. However, there may be a new crew now which is resorting to bait and switch tactics and a nickel and dime approach. After difficulty starting and a stall at a red light, I brought the car in due to a check engine light. Despite the free inspection banners displayed out front, they charge a diagnostic fee of $100.To their credit, they looked at it rather quickly. It turned out to be a simple battery problem. Since the battery was purchased from Tires Plus and under warranty, the replacement cost was quoted at $16.50.I had been fixing another car on my property that day, which also had a bad battery. I removed the battery and asked if I could bring it in and if they could recharge it.Jonathan: We dont do that anymoreMe: Ok, could you suggest a place where I could?Jonathan: NoMe: Ok. Next question. I would like to pay for todays work with my Tires Plus card. What is the balance?Jonathan: I dont know. You will have to call the 1(800) number.Me: The last time I was there, the manager was able to quote that. It is right there on my accountJonathan: I dont know what to tell youJonathan told me that it would be $16.50 plus the $100 diagnostic fee, plus the usual shop supply fee, parts and labor and tax, etc.Wait, I said. You sold me this battery. It failed during the warranty period. Why is there a diagnostic fee? I asked for the manager.Mike, the manager took the call and told me that the diagnostic fee was in error, had been removed, and that the check engine light indicator was triggered by a bad voltage read which was caused by the bad battery. Just pay the $16.50. I thought that he handled it well and I was satisfied, for the moment.When I picked up the car, Jonathan told me, thatll be 47.40. Apparently there is a $24.99 battery/starting/charging check which Jonathan characterized as a battery diagnostic fee. I explained to Jonathan that this was warranty work. Why are you charging me a diagnostic fee for your own product failure?Jonathans answer was that he was just doing his job and that Mike had added that $24.99 fee.I understand diagnostic fees. It isnt ok to ask a mechanic to spend time providing a complete report for free so that I can go shop it to cheaper competitors.But...warranty work? You were paid to fix this problem and didnt...specifically a defective battery.Two issues here. Better training for the front line staff is needed. And warranty work should not be accompanied by additional fees to diagnose a problem that you caused by selling and installing a defective battery.

They are listed to do insurance inspections, when I showed up, guy rudely let me know they werent doing them anymore while shaking his head at me....like it was my fault. I defintely wont come here for service.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, trust me I tried believing that the one star reviews on here were rare cases but I learned the hard way. These “mechanics” are literally monkeys who probably don’t even have their GEDs which is why they work here and not in a real mechanic shop. I took my car in for an oil change, which is very simple, and these monkeys still managed to mess my car up! To start off they put the o-ring on the oil filter cap’s threads rather than the giant ridge meant for the o-ring. The result my new oil change leaked all over my engine block causing me to lose oil and have my car smoking constantly. Secondly when I tried to fix their mistake it was almost impossible to remove the oil filter cap, I guess these monkeys don’t understand what a torque wrench is or what a torque spec is, then again I doubt monkeys/high school dropouts know how to read. They even over torqued the oil drain plug which is also now stripped! So now I have to take my car to a REAL mechanic to correct all these errors these monkeys made. Save yourself the money, the headache, and the repairs and just go to a real mechanic and DO NOT let these mentally handicapped monkeys lay a finger on your car.
