Great service! I brought my vehicle in to have the tire pressure checked and it ended up needing more air in the tires and a tire repair for a slow leak. I was very happy with the job and the same day service. I would recommend them to anyone who needs the services they provide.

I thought the reviews were too good to be true, so when my car needed new tires I decided to try this place out. It did not disappoint! I felt the prices were fair and the service was really great. I didn’t feel like I was being haggled or talked into anything I didn’t need. I took in my car on my lunch break and it was finished by the end of the work day. Super convenient. They even communicated that it would be at least an hour before they even looked at my car, which was fine, but it was good to know nonetheless. Highly recommend for tires! We have been dealing with Rob Albright for many years now and we wouldnt consider going to anyplace else for tires or service. He is the manager at Mavis Discount Tires and will work with the customer to achieve the best possible deals. We trust him completely and so should you. Overall an excellent place to get tires and other car maintenance like an oil change.Went in after scheduling an appointment the previous day through their website. Received excellent help selecting a change of rear tires as well as an oil change. Service was relatively quick even though it was crowded.They had phenomenal customer service, as all of the employees were very nice and accommodating.

This shop could not be more convenient for those of us who live in New Tampa. The two men in front- Don and the manager Rob- are strong customer service. The work is always done quickly. I ride my bike home from there, and ride back when the work on my car is finished, and there has been very little disruption to my day. Fair prices AND free tire rotation!

We are new residents here in Tampa and have really struggled to find a new network of dependable, trustworthy service providers. We have found the people at Mavis are absolutely amazing. We have had several occasions to need their service and each and every time they get us in right away and are 100 percent honest with the services they provide. We have tires that require 80 pounds of pressure and we have tried many other repair facilities to have air put in the tires and they are always unwilling to help. There has never been a time that they have not stopped what they are doing to help us out. At a time when parts are hard to come by they have jumped through hoops for us. I would like to give a special thanks to Rob Albright for taking such good care of us. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Came in yesterday and was told to make an appointment by one of the staff members so I did and came back the next day WITH AN APPOINTMENT and told me they were busy and if they could reschedule me after I drove 30 mins for an “appointment” will never come back here again. Waste of time and highly unprofessional!

This place is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL the mechanic on duty is a poor excuse for a mechanic. I dropped my car off on Wednesday at about 11am for a wheel alignment NEVER RECEIVED A COURTESY CALL they kept my car over night when I called Thursday morning they had the nerve to tell me my car was in a car accident is which this is false information I have had my car for 3 years with a clean car fax review. When I got to the shop to pick up my car the “mechanic “ was rude and bothered to answer my question regarding why he thought my car was involved in a car accident. He clearly didn’t know what he was doing . I took my car up the road to next shop where I got my wheel alignment with out one problem and everything mavis mechanic claimed was wrong with my car wasn’t… now my car in running fine and they called me 20 minutes after I dropped my car off At the other shop they called me to tell me everything I needed to know 1.5 hours later driving my baby home with a great job done from another shop .

On Monday, September 20, 2021, I received the worse service ever at Mivas Tires and Brakes (17325 Dona Michelle Dr, Tampa, FL 33647), I was visited by a representative of That Awful II Monday, September 20, 2021, I arrived early for an appointment I scheduled online with Mavis Tires and Brakes. After 1.5 hours, I had to ask what time will my vehicle be in service. I wasted my morning waiting for an oil change. I did not receive an apology, and the manager charged me an outlandish rate for a regular oil change.5(QTS) 5W30 Val Maxlife Oil $44.95Dollar Discount (Online coupon) $10.00Labor Oil Change $14.00Oil Filter $4.50Misc. shop supplies $1.60The total charge for an oil change: $59.18I have never paid this amount before for an oil change. I trusted this awful company to conduct business ethically.

The store manager, Rob Albright, and his team had me checked in and back on the road in no time.Ive trusted my car to Rob for 15 years. Beware of additional charges - 10+ year customer, brought car in for tire rotation and synthetic oil change, had to remind staff of free tire rotation advertised online and $10 discount - discussed it with them, still charged me $15.98 for rotation plus additional $10.99 for balance... not going to argue with them, just time to go somewhere else.

Just had my oil change and rear brakes done there this morning and this place by far has the friendliest employees and best prices. They work with your budget and see what they can do to help. I don’t like writing a review like this, but hope that in doing so, I’ll save others time, energy, money, and lack of respect from this store.On Tuesday, June 1, I took my vehicle to a different Mavis store for an oil change and because I had a “service engine” light illuminated. After receiving the oil change, the mechanic at that store informed me what he thought the issue was, but referred me to the New Tampa location because it has the tools to assess and fix more problems, including the one he suspected. He assured me that Sean, the mechanic, and Rob, the store manager, were both terrific and would treat me right. That afternoon, I called this store to make an appointment and spoke with Drew, making an appointment for 8am, today, June 3rd.I arrived promptly at 8am and waited for approximately 5 minutes, while Rob and Drew both attended to other customers. During this time, I overheard some conversation along the lines that only 1 mechanic (Sean) was working, as the other was on vacation. This, along with the fact that there were 3 other customers, some of whom it appeared had appointments, was a bit concerning, but I trusted that the terrific referral I was given was true, and I was just being overly concerned.When it was my turn, I was attended to by Drew, who I reminded why I was there, and gave my key and the paperwork I had from Tuesday’s appointment at the other store. He went out and checked the mileage on my vehicle, then returned, and asked if I was going to wait for the car. I said that I was going to go get some food, but would be back. This was 8:12am.At 10:30, I returned and my car was in the exact same location I left it. I entered the store, and asked Drew if my vehicle had been looked at, yet. He didn’t have an answer, but Rob, who was also behind the counter, jumped in. I asked him and his reply was that if it was in the same place I left it, “probably not.” At this point, Drew put up his hands and said to another colleague, who had stepped behind the counter “I’m new.” Really? Drew’s lack of energy, competence, and non-customer-centric approach that I felt on the telephone and then two and a half hours earlier, in person, was confirmed. I immediately told Rob that I wanted my key, as I was going elsewhere, since I had an 8am appointment, it was now two and a half hours later, and my car hadn’t moved. Rob’s reply was “that’s unacceptable.” Ya think?!?! If a situation like that is unacceptable, why did the shop manager allow it to happen? Further, why did he not apologize profusely, and tell me that my vehicle would be back in the bay, and attended to, within two minutes? Come on . . . you offer appointments but don’t adhere to them? If you don’t have staff to fill orders, you don’t over schedule appointments, as you’re only going to underdeliver!Not only did I wake up early, drive 25 minutes to this location, and waste two and a half hours where absolutely nothing was done with vehicle, despite the fact that I had an appointment, but I also went and spent money that I didn’t need to spend, on breakfast, while I was killing time. This just adds insult to injury.After having terrific experiences with a Mavis store in the Fort Lauderdale area, I was excited to bring my business to the Tampa Bay area, having recently relocated here. Boy, what a disappointment this store is! I can only hope that it’s a bad apple in the larger bushel of Mavis stores. Come on, guys - get it together!

Great experience! Got new tires for two of our vehicles. One full set at this location and two tires for another. Had a little trouble getting the alignment done on our 08 Range Rover due to some stubborn bolts, but the crew stayed late trying to finish and came in early Sunday to complete it. It cost us a little extra labor, but less than new tie rod ends and it got us the proper alignment that they insisted on. They have earned business.Side note: Management needs to spring for some new chairs for the waiting room. The existing ones have seen a better day...

Excellent service and very competitive prices! I called them from Tires Plus to get a better price on the full set of tires and installation, but I mistakenly gave them the wrong tire size. When I arrived they LMK but still gave me the amount they quoted me even though it was an upgrade! We bought a new set of tires from Mavis in August 2020. My wife went to have a tire fixed today and they would not help - manager was rude! Would not recommend. Went down the street to Goodyear and received help immediately, she is back on the road.

I was shopping around for new tires for my truck. Mavis got me the cheapest price by approximately $300. I also needed my brakes serviced. I went to the Tampa Palms/New Tampa location. They were honest in telling me, and also showing me what needed immediate attention and what wasnt urgent which saved me more money. Very friendly and professional service from Jason and co. Jayson left me wondering, how come I’ve never met an auto mechanic like this before? The guys at Mavis were wonderful. The store was busy and the person work long the front desk was very efficient. I was assisted after 15 minutes and explained I believed I had a nail in my tire. I had to wait about an hour but that was to be expected due to time of day and the amount or customers that came before me. They fixed the issue and had me on my way in no time! They were super nice and helpful and that is extremely important especially in these current times. I will definitely be back!!!

Brought my car in for a wheel alignment and the gentleman took my car back, literally had it for 5 minutes and brought it back up and said it was done, so I paid $100 for 5 minutes of service? I don’t think anything was done to my vehicle, I’m pretty sure a wheel alignment takes longer than 5 minutes to complete CORRECTLY. I’ll never go back to this place for anything.

I dont recommend this place at all. Slow service and I mean sloooow service. Also the guy at the desk showing off his parakeet bird chest tries too hard to be funny. I swear he fell asleep or went to lala land looking at the computer while talking to me at one point. Theyll also try to sell you a tire over patching one.
