My experience was easy and smooth. Dropped it off and got it back same day. Car needed an oil change and front brakes plus rotors. As with anything these days prices are what they are, wasn’t too bad. Justin my service guy was very nice and made the process smooth. The place is very clean… spotless actually. Will return and recommend to others.

I first went there to have a roofing nail removed from my tire and repair. Justin was my contact, I was pleasantly surprised how clean and Neat the facility was. I went back again as I needed an alignment done after repairs from my regular mechanic. They could not complete the job, because they found something else that needed to be repaired. I had that completed and then made an appointment to go back in and get the alignment completed.I was able to get the car back in that afternoon. I highly recommend honest1 auto care. Job was completed in just over one hour, they provided me with a copy of the before and after of the alignment. I would recommend this shop to anyone. It is refreshing to have this option versus some of the other shops in the area.

Oh yeah, and the employees are indeed honest, as well as knowledgeable and helpful. While youre waiting, they send you a text/email showing the results of the inspection, a diagnosis of the problem along with photo(s) of the relevant part, and recommendations for any other services you might want to consider. Prices are reasonable too! Indeed this is the future of auto maintenance and repair.

I just moved here to the Tampa Bay Area from Marietta Georgia where I was accustomed to excellent service by the East Cobb Honest-1 auto care owned by Butch Carter. This Bayshore location definitely met my expectations. Professional, thorough, courteous, and reasonably priced. I work down the street from this location and the shuttle service they provided was a great convenience.I will definitely continue to use their services for my car. I highly recommend Honest 1. I hope they open a location in Spring Hill where I live.

Very professional shop, clean and neat appearance. When work was finished there was an issue with the results. The staff was very concerned and offered to stay into the night to fix it. I told them to go home and we would figure it out on Monday. Sure enough it was a simple issue and easily resolved. I will say the vehicle runs better than new. They fixed a nagging intermittent problem that Parks Ford in Wesley Chapel could not/would not fix under warranty. Very satisfied with all aspects of my visit.

I had a flat tire, so I googled local places to find help. I called Honest1 Auto Care since they have good reviews. The interaction over the phone was OK. The person I spoke with told me they could take care of my problem the same day I called. I drove about 15 minutes to their location just to find out that they dont service all types of tires. The same person I spoke with over the phone told me that they dont have the right equipment to work on low profile tires. When I first called, I explained the problem and even gave him my vehicle model information. All this misunderstanding would have been avoided if I was advised of this places limitation. I wasted almost an hour of my busy day for no reason.

Their staff was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The only thing that keeps this rating from 5 stars is they misquoted the price initially. Went from ~$1800 to over 2100. They ended up having to replace a couple of other parts which drove the price up. Not really their vault, I guess. It just just stickler shock. Thr repair is great, though.

I came some time before to get minor work done. They did check up on my truck and found things I already knew about but didnt have funds for. They gave me a estimate of what it would cost. Once I finally was able to come. They did the work and went above and beyond. I appreciate them alot. They didnt have to do all what they did to help me out. I will be going back to get some other things done as well. I need a valve cover gasket and new heater hose. I also want to replace my radiator lower and top hose as well. I dont think it was ever replaced. So i want to take care of that which will save me money later on. Great place to go for your vehicle.

I got a diagnostic which let me know everything that needed to be brought to my attention. i do a lot of my own mechanic work but its good to know what i need to do to it from a professional. They texted me pics and advice on what needs to be done via their website. Its the first time Ive had a mech shop do that. It was really good to have! They also found out what the problem was with the diagnostic and I fixed it myself. But there are things I dont fix, and i let them fix that for me. =D

My car arrived on Friday and i was told it wouldnt be looked at until Saturday. I didnt get a status report so i called at 3 pm, since they were closing early for Memorial Day. I was then informed that the car was still not even looked at. I like to think Im a reasonable person however i also believe in communication. So now i will be without my car at least until Wednesday. Needless to say that im very unhappy and will not bring my car back, even though i have spent thousands of dollars for repairs and service with my 2 cars.

I enjoyed my first-time experience. I brought my car in for an oil leak. I went in with information that the leak was for one reason but HC1 informed me it was for something else. Barry and the lead mechanic took me underneath the car to show me the cause of the leak. What they identified, saved me money. Also, they worked with me on the cost of the service and informed me of future items I should consider on my car. In addition, Barry picked me up several times to go from and to their location. I had a very good experience.

First walked into the shop, three gentleman sitting around chatting. I had to ask “good afternoon, I’m here for an appointment”. It took a few seconds where the three gentleman looked at each to decide who would help. Then I asked “who do I need to speak to in order to drop off my car. His response “any one of us can help”….Not sure why there has to be all this extra stuff. When a customer steps into a business, the first person to see them should jump up.Dropped our car via our appointment at 1330. Was told it was it was going to be 1.5 - 2 hours. 1530 came around, and Justin (or Parker, forgot who it was), said “yeah…looks like we won’t be able to get the service done today, we haven’t even started, can you come at 1730 when we close?”Makes me wonder if I never called, how long they would have waited to update me.Used to come here for the great service…this place has changed. Clearly lazy unfortunately.

Very informative and very helpful! Nice facility and everyone was nice. Michael assisted me and he explained information well and made sure everything was in order before I left. It was done before the end of the day and I was able to leave my car there and pick it up the following day due to my work schedule. I would definitely recommend this place and intend on going back there for any other issues or maintenance I will need in the future!

The worst experience I ever had. Came to get my brake pads changed, they told me I needed both brake pads and rotors changed which was fine. They they told me I needed both calipers changed as well and told me that it would cost $1200 for everything. My car is an old Honda Accord which was crazy to charge that and my calipers were just fine. They ended up agreeing to just change 1 caliper since the other was still fine and this is where I started to some shady things happen. They fixed it and tested it out and after testing it out the caliper line or the brake line popped. So they needed to order another one . Took almost another 2 hrs to get it done. On my way back home 3 hrs of driving all of my service lights start going off and my brakes start giving out ( keep in mind it was raining and had kids in the car) had to press the brake to the floor for it to actually start braking. I called they guy at honest care since I had warranty on it and they sent me to mechanic shops that could fix it under there warranty. Every place they sent me too was abandoned and hasn’t been in business for years. Finally I have someone look at my car and told me that the mechanic who fixed my car put after market parts after I paid $1200 for official parts and didn’t tighten the screw to the caliper and brake line tight enough which cause the brake line to leak brake fluid. Would not reimburse me for the repairs that someone else had to do nor the hotel I had to stay at for the night because of there faulty job. Almost got into a major accident with faulty brakes that they input there. Definitely will be suing and ended up having to change my brake pads shortly after I just paid for the ones at honest care because they were old and used the ones they put on

First time here and will definitely be returning. Waiting area is very comfortable and you can tell they care about the customers. I went in for wheel alignment and found out I had 2 nails in my tires, they take pictures and explain everything thoroughly. Ordered tires and it was delivered next day. Honest1 either has the most inexperienced and unknowledgeable techs or they are crooks. Where do I start. I brought my vehicle in as it wouldn’t start after trying to jump it. I am told by Honest1 that it’s a bad starter and it would be $1100 to replace it. I review the estimate and see that they have my engine size incorrect, which requires close to double the labor to replace the starter. They state it’s because their system pulled the wrong engine size from my VIN, which shows (1) their system is bad and (2) no one looked under the hood of my car to see that it was a v6 and not a v8. They change the engine size and now the estimate goes to $580. I’ve already called another shop when I got the first astronomical quote and I get a quote for $310 to replace the starter. I tow the car to the new shop and am told all I actually needed was a new battery ($120) and not the starter that Honest1 said I needed. I now have my vehicle back and it is working perfectly with the battery replaced. I will NOT take my vehicle to Honest1 again and will not be recommending them to anyone I know either.

After visiting Honest1 for the first time, I have nothing negative to say about this auto repair shop! The front desk colleagues were very kind, helped me get an appointment scheduled fast, and communicated follow-up information in a timely fashion. The mechanic was reassuring about my vehicle’s issues and provided sufficient details on the recommended repairs, which included photos, videos, and why the repairs were recommended. I highly recommend this shop for Tampa citizens and will be back next time I need auto repair services!

Everything about the place itself and the service was great. The place is nice, the people are friendly, and they dont try to scam you into a bunch of unneeded stuff. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because I paid the most for an oil change (over $100) that I ever have in my life. I havent even paid that much at the dealership.

Made an appointment for 2pm. I asked if they would start the repair at 2pm. I was assured that it would be seen at 2pm. They did not. After a half hour of waiting. Car was still in the parking lot. So I canceled the repair and left.

I had a fantastic experience. I was blown away by the customer service. The shop was clean and everyone was very professional. They provided me with a list and pictures of what needed to be repaired. I was not pressured into getting more fixed than was necessary. They even have a shuttle service so I was not stuck at the store. I’m definitely using them again!!

The week of November 22nd My SO went in with his Ford F-150 2006 to get a diagnostic for where his truck was leaking and for it to be fixed. It cost $700 to get his oil filter housing “fixed”. When he got his car back, the leak was now worse than before; in fact, he had no more oil left in his truck (my mother had sent a photo of her driveway with a huge oil spot from where he parked the night before). In addition to that, his car was now making new noise that sounded like his serpentine belt was faulty. He called and told them and they got his car towed to their shop (being that his truck was not safety drivable). They proceeded to try to get him to pay another $700 and told him there was now a leak in his rear housing. My SO was not happy that they were trying to charge him for their own misdiagnosis. The guy that he spoke with said the master mechanic was apparently not in when they worked on his truck originally so that may have been why it wasn’t diagnosed and fixed correctly. My SO had been in contact with Barry previously who in good conscious informed the employee to waive the “additional fees” to fix the leak and look into the new noise of the serpentine belt issue. They said they would wait till the master mechanic was in the shop to work on his car. My SO just picked up his truck yesterday (12/3) and they said the leak should be fixed and that they did not hear any strange noise or serpentine belt. Today he just checked and his truck is still leaking oil and the serpentine belt noise is still happening. Extremely disappointed with our experience. He is now going to another shop for a second opinion.

Went here on recommendation. Was not disappointed in the least. I had issues with my A/C and heat going out. I am not entirelly useless around a vehicle, i swapped out the fan blower, checked the electrical at various points, watched YouTube videos to figure out what to do. Exhausted my ability, and took my truck there. I checked my truck in around 11am. Explained my issues, and was told they were going to give it the once over to figure out the issue.I was contacted about 3 hours later and they let me know that it was a simple fuse issue. They couldve told me anything, but integrity ruled the day. After replacing the fuse, everything works great, and i picked up my truck with an hour of shop time, and a $10 dollar fuse.I highly recommend. I have some other issues with my truck, and my Fiancées car, i will be coming back here.The lobby was clean, the floor to ceiling windows inyo the service bay are amazing. The underwriters were knowledgeable, polite, professional, and prompt.10 out of 10.

Two weeks after taking my car in, I continued to have issues with a problematic tire, which was one of the things I brought my car in for. So I took it to other places for extra opinions and they all found a big puncture in my tire. Something that Honest 1 missed. My battery also died soon after taking my car in. I know that batteries can be unpredictable in Florida, so maybe it was an unfortunate coincidence, but these two issues left me wondering what Honest 1 even did when they “repaired” things on my car. At the very least, they missed the tire puncture. Based on the issues I continued to have after taking my car in to Honest 1, I don’t have much confidence in them. I spent a ton of money and am still having issues. I originally took my car to them because of positive reviews here, so I had hoped they would be good. Maybe others have had good experiences, but I did not. Because of the bad experience I had, I won’t be coming back.

I brought my car to Honest1 Auto Care for a Brake Fluid service and did the right decision.The shop & office area have a very welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is professional and I felt in good hands right away. The service price I paid is very fair and probably located somewhat cheaper than a brand name dealership, yet I felt like I am at an actual brand name dealership.I had no appointment but after I dropped the car of, it was serviced in a matter of a few hours. The 3 year, 36k warranty is no joke! They replaced my compressor last year and when it failed again this summer, they fixed the issue at no cost to me. And the cherry on top was they had my car ready a full day earlier than I expected. Excellent service!

First time I brought in my car, another shop told me I needed a $1100 repair to my struts. I brought it in to Honest1 and they discovered that my lug nuts were just loose and charged me only $25 for diagnostic.The second time was for a squeaky back brake. Another shop changed the pads and never turned the rotors and never found the squeak. Brought it to Honest1 and they discovered a piece of metal rubbing the other shop did not and that the other shop had neglected to turn the rotors. Charged me only $25 for diagnostics.This is the first place Ill bring my car to from now on.

Definitely recommend this place! Car would not start, and to top it off its Saturday morning. I reached out to these guys and they were more than willing to help out. I had my car towed to Honest 1- Twenty minutes later I get a call informing me that my car just arrived. One hour or so later, I received an email with a link to follow, and I was able to see the results of the tests and inspections with pictures, that were performed, virtually. Really cool!!! So I needed a new starter, they quoted me a fair, and reasonable price- about two hours later they called me and informed me that my car was completed. When I arrived, the woman (I think her name is Alisha) offered me a beverage, and/or something to snack on. The place is immaculate when it comes to cleanliness! Everything is glass inside- you can actually watch the mechanics work on your car. Comfortable seating, large screen TV, a refrigerator that has a variety of beverages, and a small play-area for children. Im not even exaggerating, its really nice! This is what an auto repair shop should look like- its 2020 guys! Through the entire process they were very kind and professional. I spoke with Alisha the most, since she was the one coordinating everything over the phone- She was so kind, and understanding. She was very helpful through the entire process. They even leave a packaged gourmet cookie in the car for your ride home. Thank you Barry and Alisha! First impression is everything with me. When I first walk inside, I was greeted by Mr. Barry. Very nice and understanding guy. He was very respectful and very transparent (which is rare for a lot of people). My overall experience with the shop was excellent. They did not BS me with anything. They made sure they ask for my permission before they begin any repairs to my car. I highly recommend them.

My 2003 Tundra died coming off the crosstown at 0530am. Once truck was towed to shop, Mike got my paper work set up and explained what going to happen. Later in the afternoon contacted me to let me know my radiator blew. Gave them the okay to repair and received a text saying ehgine was miss firing. Stopped by shop and Mike explained what was going to happen next and I gave them the ok on a second diagnosis. They are pros! Thank you

I had the best experience with Honest1 Auto Care at the Gandy location. This review is specifically for MELISSA and the team who took care of me and my Mercedes GLC 300. After work on Friday, I dropped my car off (personal convenience) even though my appointment was Saturday morning 8AM. Saturday morning, I received an email with a detailed inspection report with photographs about what was in good shape, what needed attention, and all my main concerns were addressed. I had a quick phone call with Melissa to discuss what work I would like done and pricing. No work was done until approved. I picked my car up later that SAME Saturday- 4 new rotors, break pads, and some other maintenance items completed. A really refreshing experience. I went in with a problem with my heat / air, but asked what else needed to be done so I knew what to expect and plan for in the coming months. Great place. Clean, quick, professional. Didnt try to push lots of other auto services on me - just changed my brake fluid and sent me on my way.

I called a day before my appt to get a general quote on brake pads. I was informed they dont just do brake pads they would need to resurface the rotors at a minimum if they measured properly. Quoted $275 at the time. Fast forward to the appt. I get there. They seem super sketchy. Oh just leave it. Will give u a call and quote after we measure etc. Nope. I stayed right there and waited. Rotors were fine enough to surface. Next thing oh its $750. This place scams ppl at the min to get their 25 fees lying about prices. Do not take your car here. They lie just to get you in the door. Super convenient the guy who gave the quote wasnt there to lie to me personally. Anyways beware of this place. Ask 100000000 questions. Get everything in writing over the phone before you waste one second.

I took the commercial truck, one i use for my business (Arctic Cool Solutions), they fixed it up withing the hour, VERY fast and great customer care. Would Very Much recommend...

The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the service received was sub-par. My vehicle was mis-diagnosed and I was recommended to go to the dealer for warranty work (after paying the diagnostic fee)...when I did, the dealer re-diagnosed the issue and determined it was something else entirely (and not a warranty item), which could have been repaired by Honest1. The net result was that I paid two diagnostic fees and the repair was effected by the dealer anyway. Ill be going directly to the dealer from now on.

So I have a question, my car broke down earlier this week and I noticed white smoke coming from the engine and when I opened the hood to find oil on the left side of the engine bay. if I were to bring my car by over the next two days (friday and Saturday) do you think it would be able to fixed by the end of the day? Its a 1997 honda odyssey lx

Excellent customer service! The location is clean, and they have drinks and snacks for customers. But I really appreciated the customer service. I brought my car in for a tire leak but they gave it a good look over and pointed out a potential problem without any pressure to fix it there. They also offer a 3-year warranty and free roadside assistance for a year! Will definitely return.

Wonderful experience with Honest1. I showed up as a walk-in, to get an oil change and my tires rotated, an hour before they closed. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. Great service! Next time I’ll be sure to schedule an appointment to give these nice folks a break.

Awesome first time experience at Honest1 Bayshore! The shop is clean and very spacious for anyone who needs to wait for their vehicle. They also provide a complimentary shuttle service for those who need to be taken home. I really appreciated the extremely detailed vehicle inspection they provided via email (with pictures included). Will be back for sure.

Im still a little shocked about how great of an experience I had at an auto repair place. I needed my side mirror replaced, and their team went above and beyond not only to find the right mirror, but installed it quickly, for much less than I would have expected, and were so kind and transparent throughout the whole process. I will definitely be a customer for life.

I have now been there three (3) times for service on our two vehicles and each time Barry and the Team at Honest 1 were friendly, professional and very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and what they had done once service was completed. I like that they take pictures of everything they do so you can actually see whats being done to your vehicle. The BEST vehicle service Ive ever experienced!!! I just wanted to take a moment to say Thankyou to Honest 1. I started having issues with my car while traveling through to Atlanta. I found Honest 1 and this had to be one of the best experiences I have ever had at a car center. Barry was very thorough in explaining the issues with my car, did not pressure me to fix what wasn’t immediately necessary to get me on the road again. He did point out what was critical and threw in a extra diagnostic test for free because he was concerned about my safety on the highway. Nice high end waiting room with snacks was a plus too. Highly recommended!

Very pleasantly surprised! This was my first time visiting Honest-1 and I will be returning. I went in to get my tires balanced and I got a full report of everything wrong with my car with photo evidence (it’s an old car, lots of issues). But it was extremely helpful to see proof of what needs to be fixed instead of blindly trusting a mechanic. I went to Honest 1 Auto Care for the first time to have a diagnostic performed because my Air Bag light was on. They got it done quickly and gave me a written quote with no pressure and no up-selling of unneeded services. Barry the manager, answered all of my questions and has a great attitude. The facilities are top notch and the waiting room is outstanding with plenty of power and USB outlets for electronics. They also use a laptop to take pictures of parts that need replacing on your vehicle and save it in their database to show the customer; this is a very effective way to track needed repairs and demonstrate transparency. I will definitely be back.

Second time I have had work done here. They use technology quite well, and show you pics of whats wrong with the car during the diagnostic process, i.e., before you order the work done. Fair pricing, and their free shuttle saves you the cost of an Uber or two.

Very thorough, clean, and professional facility. But, beware the prices are consistent with the level of care and service - which is the say top tier! This is a pricey place but you get what you pay for. They include a beautiful, full report with any service that documents everything about your vehicle which is a huge value add. Pro tip - I plan on going at least once a year for an oil change to get a full health report for my car! It certainly helps (like going to any auto shop) if you have some car knowledge to give you a perspective for pricing. But, if price was no object for me theres is nowhere else Id go. Dealership level service without the dealer hassle or location.

Took my luxury auto in for diagnostic & repair of some issues. Honest 1 found/fixed issues within a day & gave printout of other diagnosis made & future recommended fixes. Melissa & BH (including Honest1 Auto app) kept me up to date on repairs/status. At pickup & on the drive home, vehicle was running way better.Edit (very next day): Vehicle started smoking the very next day. Low/out of coolant error popped up - turns out there’s a leak... weird timing/coincidence? Hmmmm... never had that issue before - plus Honest1’s diagnostic report said coolant checked & levels/everything good. Upon further inspection, found the coolant hose was detached/unclamped (clamp was hanging on though), so when I poured coolant in, it was falling on the ground.Response to owner: Appreciate the response. Gave Barry (Manager) a call and issue explained and resolved (in a day). Much appreciated; thank you. And, a very special thanks to Carlos as well!

As usual, Honest1 was a pleasant experience. Prices are not outrageous and they are very kind. Melissa is always very nice and she actually changed my tailight bulb at no charge. Ill keep going back.

They installed my lowering springs in my VDub. They were the only shop near the base that would do it, and I couldn’t be happier. They did a great job, and there shop is really clean with a friendly atmosphere. I took my car back there to have them check my alignment. And they did it for free and was super friendly about it. I highly recommend this shop.

The people at Honest1 are top notch. I have had all 4 of our cars serviced and repaired there with no issues. I was very impressed with Kevin’s extensive knowledge of my diesel truck. 2 of the other cars are Lexus and I was so glad to know they were able to fix them. Now I know I don’t have to visit the dealership any more 👍🏻Way to go Honest 1!!!!
