He also gave me thorough explanations of what was wrong, which is incredibly helpful for someone who doesn’t understand cars that much. 100% will be the mechanic I return to here in Tampa if I have another issue while here at school.

Recommended by AAA when we had to have my sisters car towed to be repaired. They guarantee the repair and there are loads of them around town. We were greeted by Brian with respect and we told him the issue. It was delivered late afternoon and before noon we knew the answer; it needed a crank shaft sensor. Yup look it up, I certainly did and its what helps set the timing to start the engine. I havent even gotten my truck back yet but i 100 percent trust these guys. My truck has seen 4 different shops the past month. 1 shop told me i needed a $1200 repair. Towed it to auto pro they fixed a fuse and a hose clamp. Brian even told me not to fix my cluster yet incase i do have exhaust issues down the road, he was helping me save money guys! No one does this!! Was reffered by a friend and have found my trucks forever doctor now. Ive been to 3 different auto shops and 2 dealers in the Tampa area, trying to find a place that I trust and a place that stood by their work. Started coming here by a recommendation and have not been disappointed. I primarily deal with Brian who is upfront, honest, and has gone out of his way to help me out. We have been going to this shop for years for other vehicles; and taking one vehicle to the dealer because of a warranty. The last time we went to the dealer for scheduled oil change, they said we needed to replace spark plugs and valve cover gasket as the covers were leaking, and the fee was for a pretty large sum! I convinced my husband to take it to this trusted shop, if nothing else but a second opinion. When the mechanic looked under the hood, he did not see any sign of leaking, and pointed our where to look. He said spark plugs needed to be changed, but it doesnt look like valve cover gasket had any leaks, but when he changes the spark plugs he would be able to check the valve cover more closely. We went ahead and had spark plug changed. When we went to pick up the car, mechanic said there was no leak whatsoever! We truly appreciate Auto Pros honesty and great customer service!!! A disreputable shop may have gone ahead and replaced valve cover (or worse call it replaced without doing a thing) and charge us unnecessarily. Not Auto Pro, they will tell you whats wrong with your car and fix it!!! For a lot lower that the dealer! If you are new to the area, or need a new auto shop/mechanic, Auto Pro on Fowler is the place to go! Plus its AAA certified shop and you get a discount as an AAA member! There are other auto shops closer, but Auto Pro is worth the drive to get your car or truck fixed right at a reasonable price.

Friendly fast fair and courteous. I needed work done on my vehicle and went to one place in particular that I feel went overboard with the pricing. So I took my vehicle to Auto Pro . They did excellent work for way less than the previous quote I got from the other place I went to. It’s also very close to my home. Ive gotten work done here in the past and was pleased with the price and quality of workmanship. The only thing stopping me from giving this place 5 stars are their operating hours. Theyre only open until 5:30pm during the week and are actually closed on the weekend. So as much as I considered this my preferred auto repair shop, Im going to have to take my business elsewhere, because the best mechanic in the world is worthless if theyre never open when you need them. As they say, the best ability is availability.

They did a good job fixing my car. I like small business like this because they are cheaper and more honest than larger companies. So for that reason I would recommend you come here. They were expensive, but thats just how getting your car fixed is.It only took them a few days to fix my car so that was a plus.As an additional upside they have a 10% USF discount.

My car broke down on rt. 75 . Loyal towing towed it to Auto Pro. As it is AAA approved, I felt confident that the service would be good. As we are from Delaware and on vacation, we didn’t know what to do. Brian was extremely nice and helpful. He fixed the car (fuel pump) in a timely manner . Brian and Grady were great, very informative/knowledgeable, helpful,friendly, and went above and beyond. They were able to to fit my vehicle in and I had it back the next day. Grady provided a few things to pay attention to and explained an issue(s) that could be one or the other that I had not noticed but did check out. I greatly appreciate that they did a general inspection when they were done with the main issue it was brought in for, it is good to be informed of any potential issue(s) that can arise especially on an older vehicle. What I loved is it was to be informed of, not a you must handle this now or else. I have dealt with that at previous shops. There was no pressure to have it fixed at that moment, just a hey we are looking out for you. Ive personally come here with my Lexus multiple times and recommended friends to come here as well when they need service. Ive never had a complaint with Auto Pro and only received quality work. Brian and his team are awesome and friendly. The prices are very fair and they wont try to overcharge you with unnecessary work. Usually most work can be done same day and even if it is not, youll receive calls periodically with updates on your vehicle. For as long as Im in Tampa Ill continue to use Auto Pro!

Good work and I believe the price was reasonable, didnt shop around though. ($150 for ignition switch replacement labor).Had some issues finding the right part and Brian helped me several times over the phone to confirm that I was indeed ordering the right part. As soon as I got them the right part it was done the next morning. Be careful when they quote you a repair cost, because the part that they were going to order for me cost about $350, but the part I was able to find for my car cost $89. So I suggest buying your own parts, especially if you have an older car.

John, and the Auto Pro team, were very personable and attentive. John gave me an initial diagnostic check to find the problem and gave me the option if I wanted to have my car worked on or not. My car was finished faster than I anticipated and I was able to go about my day when I didnt expect I would. In addition, they will give you honest feedback! I cant tell you how many times I get my car service and I am told I need to replace a belt, filter, etc. This place will give you an honest assessment and you best listen. Your money will be spent well and you wont over pay for unnecessary repairs.

My daughters 18-year-old car broke down and AAA towed it to Auto Pro, a AAA-approved repair shop. Brian checked it out thoroughly at closing time and -- because of costly engine and transmission problems -- he recommended the car be scrapped instead of fixed. He even suggested a good scrapper. Bottom line: He charged only $45 for an honest diagnosis and allowed the car to stay in his lot (without cost) until it could be picked up and sent to old car heaven. Trusted mechanic.

This shop was very knowledgeable and reasonable. Our cars alternator went out while on vacation and they were very communicative during the whole process of the repair. The price for the part + labor was very reasonable and within our price range even under the emergency circumstances. They threw in a free diagnosis of the entire car and charged the battery up for free as well. Their partnership with AAA also got us a nice little discount. All in all very satisfied and would definitely go back if having car issues in the area.

I had my car towed there when it broke down while I was on the interstate. Im not from Tampa and it was the closest approved place. I was really thinking the worst as I didnt know this place. Brian kept me up to date the entire time. Couple of belts, tensioner assembly and it was fixed within 24 hours of them getting the car. I really like to thank them for their honesty, communication and overall satisfaction of their work and very fair price. Always go to auto pro partly because it is convenient to us because their location is nearby, but also because it is a small local business that does excellent work. I have used auto pro for many services, like oil changes and minor and major repairs, and they are always clear, detailed, and prompt. My husband is also always very satisfied with them.

Dropped my crv off there due to an oil leak. Customer service was great along with the work. When I had called to find out the status on it they told me that it was a couple of O rings and that the dealership wanted $600 for a whole new part. They went above and beyond to find the O rings that my car needed instead of charging me for the new part. Thanks so much for doing that and because of this Ill be back again.

I had major services done on my radiator, rear axel, and serpentine belt. I got a better price than both Ford and Pepboys offered. Now the A/C on my Ford Focus is blowing cool much faster, and this helps with living in Florida. I also dont hear the noise that I would hear would pushing the gas pedal anymore. Im definitely referring this place to my friends and family.

Call on a Tuesday to make an appointment for an emergency repair and understood it might cost extra. Lady who awnsered the phone stated they where booked till the following Tuesday and immediately said have a good day. Didnt even asked to pencil me in or set a time. After she disconnected the call. I called back and made an appointment. I called the day before and got the same lady. I was calling to confirm the appointment. She said they didnt have me on the schedule and I would need to wait another week. When I said OK it seems you dont value my business I can go someplace else. She had the nerve to say that will be absolutely fine. OK well lady despite your attitude problem and lack of care or respect. I hope that you feel better soon bcuz only people who are hurt talk like you. Even if you didnt have an appointment for me, the least you could have did is show you give a rat pattoot... Feel better soon, but you lost my business permanently and I hope the owners know it is bcuz of your attitude. I would have gladly waited for an appointment had you had more care and respect. Remember you can make or break your business with just a single word.

The owners were very helpful and up front about the problems with my car, and were extremely friendly. They let me know every part of the process, and made sure to let me know whenever they were going to do something that would cost me money. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in this area, and I will certainty be coming back here again.

This place is extremely expensive compared to others in the area. Their diagnostic is more than any other shop within 10 miles. Aside from that, theyll tell you whatever they need to get you in, then hold your car for a very long time.I was assured by Brian that my car would be looked at Saturday when I had it towed in. This was important to me, because they were not open on Sunday. They didnt look at the car until Monday, then decided they had to order a part that would not come in until Wednesday. Had they looked at it Saturday as promised, the part could have been ordered then.That part, which I found for $48 online, was listed as costing $112 in the report they gave me. They also charged a ludicrous fee for changing it with the defective one. Ill admit that I would not have found that issue myself, which is why I trusted it to a mechanic. Once I knew what the problem was, I realized it was a simple fix, though they charged another ludicrous fee for labor. I could not wait to have a running car any longer, and so had to pay them to fix it. I feel the mechanic took advantage of me, because they could.The only positive thing I can say, is that they are friendly, though when it comes to fixing your car, friendly really isnt enough. A mechanic should be honest, this one is not.

We were on Vacation in Tampa around December 2016 and our Toyota Highlander encountered an engine oil burning issue. We googled for the nearest garage near our Hotel and that was also AAA certified. They took my car in for Service right away and did a thorough check up. Brady, the Owner was very honest and advised us that the fix was going to be a major expense and was not recommended considering the age of our vehicle. Ive had repair work done here two times. The first time they replaced my battery. The service was good, but it took longer than they originally said it would so I left with a mediocre opinion of the place. This past time I went in and received excellent service. I do not know much about cars, so I take my car in whenever there is a problem, and this time my coolant was low. They topped it off and checked for leaks in no time at all, explained to me what to look for in case it happens again, and sent me on my way. I really appreciated the kind service and helpful advice, and they didnt even charge me because it was so minor. Definitely coming back here when I need service again!

Auto Pro has honest mechanics and stand behind their work. They have an amazing 2 years/ 24K mile nation wide warranty on their repairs. I took my car here after having my 2nd courtesy oil change at the dealer I purchased it from. the dealer found a large amount of work needed to be done from a valve cover to a new battery. Auto Pro thoroughly went over my car and found some of the items the dealers said needed to be done such as the battery were not necessary. They saved me from unneeded repairs and about $100 off the items that had to be repaired compared to the dealer, and I will not have to worry about those repairs for 2 years/ 24K miles. My Dodge Ram 1500 had some issues with the ABS. I researched all over the internet trying to find out what was causing the problem, and I found nothing. So, I decided to take it into the highest rated auto shop near me that was AAA-approved, which turned out to be Auto Pro.These guys were great. When I turned in my truck, I asked if they can do an oil change and tire rotation as well. They did so and gave me no issues. I actually ended up buying new tires there and they put them on for me as well. They were incredibly respectful, polite, and hard working (they were calling me after hours, from the shop, to update me on my truck). While working on the truck, they informed of parts that were on recall and recommended I head to the dealer to replace them.I picked up my truck 3 days later, and it was not only good as new, but it was cleaner than when I had dropped it off! They vacuumed and clean the entire flooring of my truck, which was covered in my pit bulls hair and some other trash that I was not entirely proud of, and they cleaned my rims off of the break dust as well. Fantastic service, and they are my go-to auto service center for the rest of the time I spend in Tampa.

Hello, i am writing this honest review because I am tired of shops only caring about money. I called this shop multiple times & told them that i have a vibration in my car that i would like to get checked out, I informed them that i have AAA insurance and they acted as if they would check out my vibration since i have AAA. I took my car in to this shop & when me & the mechanic test drove my car he let me know that he would not check out the vibration because AAA does not cover that in their inspection check. If I would have known that they were not going to check the vibration, i couldve saved my gas & time, i would have never gone to this location. The guy also said that he doesnt let people know how minimal the inspection check AAA provides because people wont come into the shop. SMH

My car was towed there today for what I was told by Triple A that I had an issue... let me tell you that these guys dont sugarcoat anything. They tell you whats the problem with your car and they dont try to tell you other bs stuff. Im so happy with the help that I received from Brain today. Was recommended to take my car w/ a flat tire here as its a AAA-approved shop. Was told it would be done that morning. 4 hours later Im still waiting for a flat tire to be repaired. Theres 20 shops in the neighborhood that could have got the job done in that time. Take your business elsewhere, and shame on AAA for endorsing this place.

Auto Pro was a welcome change from my previous mechanic. I left my previous shop after I began to suspect intentional sabotage on both mine and my wifes vehicles.I had been a long-time customer of my previous shop; there, the staff was pretty much a bunch of computer-diagnostic monkeys. They would hook up the computer, follow directions, stop. They would come up with a long list of other services I could perform on my vehicle based almost only on the mileage.The computer diagnostic is a wonderful tool, but it cannot replace an experienced mechanic who isnt afraid to think. And thats what Auto Pro has - I spoke with Ken, who was very friendly and who seemed to enjoy what he does.My vehicle was brought working condition and they warned me about another problem - a coolant leak. Ive known about that problem for about a year, and my previous shop never said a thing about it.Auto Pro restored my trust and confidence in mechanics.

My cars air conditioner was on the fritz. The A/C blower motor would cut in and out sometimes. It was still working but not blowing as hard and then the compressor stopped kicking in. I thought my A/C might be in need of serious repairs. I took my car into Auto Pro and told them everything that was going on. I was told that the compressor has a cut off to protect itself from burning up. They looked over my A/C system and I just needed a new blower motor. It is refreshing to find honest mechanics. Also they stand behind their work with a 2 year 24K mile warranty. I would not have gotten that long of a warranty at another auto repair shop. Thanks Auto Pro for saving me from the summer heat!

Family run business. Very impressive. Intially went here to get an alternative quote as I felt I was getting overpriced by a larger dealership. I was by about 40%. I informed the dealership and they dropped their price by 25% but that was discomforting none the less. Have been going to autopro ever since. In my experience, no pressure, family run, good people, realible work.

I expected quality work from Auto Pro however on both visits my car was not fixed despite being charged heavily. The first time my radiator was replaced because it was the suspected culprit for my car overheating. Yet when I got my car back it immediately overheated while on my way to work. The issue was a faulty thermostat. The second time I brought my car here they replaced my spark plugs, but when the same issues continued to happen I took my business to a different repair shop. The repairman at the new shop told me that the brand of spark plugs that Auto Pro put into my car does not work well with my car type. I had to get them replaced twice when the only reason my car was acting up in the first place was because of a small cap piece missing in my car. Im not sure if Auto Pro simply does not put in the effort to insure they are actually fixing the costumers car or the workers are simply ill experienced but it has cost my immensely and I will not be returning.

They repaired my vehicle quickly and got me back on the road without any issues. I had a starter replaced. I plan to use them again the next time I have any issues.

This shop was quite fast and friendly. However, when I take my car into the shop I do like to be educated on what needs to be done and why. All I really got from auto pro was my that it wasnt starting because a few months ago when I got everything under my hood cleaned out, the computer wasnt reset and thats why my car wasnt starting or that when it did, it was idling very high. They said they drove it around (which is the truth as my gas light was on now when I picked it up) and that it felt fine. It still hesitated a bit when I started it, but I trusted that everything was fine. For about two and a half weeks, my car was running ok until it stalled out. Then it wouldnt start. Then my battery died. Then we jumped it and got it running, it idled high, then stalled out. Tried to crank it again, battery was dead again. Had to get my car towed for the second time in less than 3 weeks. This time I got it taken to Christian Brothers (who I recommend tenfold) and they told me that my alternator was bad and it fried my battery and my belt was on its last leg. They got this taken care of in three days (could have been two but my alternator didnt come in on time). My car was at auto pro for 3 days. I could have saved $124 if AAA had not recommended that I take my car here first. I see that I am not the only one who came to this shop because of AAA and had a bad experience. Christian Brothers on trout creek has excellent communication, knowledge and customer service. This would have been two stars had I not received exemplary service elsewhere.

I have done business with Auto Pro twice now, and I will never go to another mechanic. Both times, the staff went out of their way to help me not only diagnose the problems, but also fix them in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ive been to a bunch of other mechanics in the area, and I have to say that Auto Pro outshines all of them.

My son is a student at USF and we live in a different city. When his car stopped working, I had to go on a search to find a reliable mechanic close to the campus. After reading the reviews of various repair companies I chose to call Auto Pro. Brian was attentive, knowledgeable and arranged the pick-up of my sons car and kept me informed throughout the repair process. He did not try to run charges up, rather made suggestions after his inspection. For any parent of a USF student needing an auto repair company they can trust to get the job done right, I highly recommend Auto Pro for the job.

I had an issue with my Subaru, and they worked hard to ensure that they had actually solved the problem, and not just put a band-aid on it. Everyone I interacted with was polite, informative, and effective, all at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

Really dont have to do with ratings. I called to get my alternator changed so I asked the price. The gentleman on the phone says how do you know its the alternator? So he priced me after I explained how I knew it was my alternator and it was about five fifty for parts and labor(AAA suggestion) now with my triple A 10% he said thats like twenty five dollars off.I say this cause triple A sending us to them and they high ass hell and if your unsure you will be getting one over the other to come back again. Well I took my business to Ralphs and paying three hundred for part and labor and Ive used him before so he trusted. Nothing against this place though just cant afford them!

Excellent. Take your car or truck here for professional treatment and service by people with decades of experience in automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Truly a AAA shop. Clean and well staffed and organized. Master mechanic pin pointed, itemized and prioritized the problems with my 22 year old Camaro. Manager communicated the time and cost of each repair as well as discoveries and the causes of leaks and poor engine performance,. Anytime I chose to stop by, there was someone there to talk to and show me progress on the much needed repair of my car. I chose to leave my car in their hands for weeks as they had success in locating needed replacement parts, and in one case, even fashioned a hose in a shape that was needed .I had windshield wiper, driveshaft, oil leak, transmission leak, etc as well as engine and suspension issues that are now resolved. I plan to bring back the car for AC work and convertible top motor replacement. Nice Job and thank you Brian and Grady!

It’s about $100 to get you car checked out Bryan was nice enough to reach out and let me know what was wrong how much it was gonna cost for parts and labor and allowed me time to think about my decision while my car sat at his shop it was a bit pricey for me but they do have a 10% discount for AAA members

Needed a headlight replaced, done in and out 20 minutes .AAA recommend
