I had a reservation at another location, but when I went to pick up my truck I found the location had closed down. Additionally, this was during peak moving season so there were almost no trucks available. Fortunately, the employees at this location (Liam in particular) were able to assist me with finding a truck. Total professionals here. 10/10 experience. Thank you, Liam!

Im an experience with U-Haul Storage it was great I store all of my personal belongings and my my whole house I should say I lost it on but you always pretty good to me during this pandemic theres kind of crazy but Im going to make it through this TJ from Tallahassee

This location was amazing! The staff was wonderful. The young man helped me before working hours because my cell phone wouldn’t work. When I returned the Uhaul my phone still wouldn’t work & the young lady behind the counter was amazing & provided wonderful service. Our experience was overall wonderful & I will be using this establishment anytime I have a moving need.

I had a reservation that I made a week out and therefor I scheduled moving crews and access to get everything accomplished around my 9am pickup time for my uhaul. The concept of business hours do night apply to this uhaul facility. You would think as a moving company they would honor their commitment to their customers in trying to keep everything moving according to schedule. If you want to pick up a vehicle on time or have people understand the concept of business hours you will want to choose another location for truck rental. Waited for 45 mins for the store to open and they never did. Had to get rerouted and add time to my day that was unnecessary.

HORRIBLE customer service! So many Lies! Our reservation change many times and when it was time for pickup NOTHING was available. Go elsewhere!

This rental experience was about as easy as it comes. The lady at the desk who handled the rental was terrific. She was incredibly efficient and answered all my questions. The return of the truck was equally as impressive. I did not even have to park the truck. From the on-line rental to check in and check out, this entire experience was totally painless.

I rented a pick up truck to pick up a dresser I had purchased. First of all the truck smelled like someone had smoked a pack with all the windows up, it was so bad I had drive with the windows down the entire time I had it. When backing the truck out there was another vehicle and trailer behind, prohibiting me from getting out. The woman working there, later found out was the general manager, was wayyy on the other side of the parking lot but offered to move the vehicle so I could get out easily. I said thanks, she moved it, I left. I ran my errand, returned the truck on time, and put the keys back in the lock box I got them from.The next day I get a call saying I didnt turn my keys in. I informed them I did and where I left them and they said ok.The day after that I notice that Im being charged $157 in damages in addition to the original $50 charge! Where?Well. I called customer service who basically told me it was between me and the general manager. I called the store and spoke with the general manager, who informed me that she saw me back into the trailer and damage the right rear bumper.First of all, my passenger had exited the vehicle prior to me backing out to help me and was standing between the truck and the trailer so if I had hit the trailer I wouldve hit my passenger as well??Secondly. She was on the opposite side of the parking lot (to the left) and not able to see the right rear bumper at all.Third. If I had hit it, why didnt she bring it up then when she came to move the trailer?In the end. U-haul basically said its her word against mine. So, without taking legal action, Im out $157.In addition to all of this. U-haul informed me that the $157 included the original $50 charge and that I should receive a refund for the the original $50. After 3 weeks, I have not received it. They informed me that it wasnt a problem on their end but instead my bank was not accepting the refund and I needed to call my bank. I did and my bank told me to go back to U-haul. At the end of the day I had to file the original $50 as a fraudulent charge though my bank.Dont rent a U-haul unless you have an extra couple hundred dollars to spend. They will find something to charge you for.

We came right over here after my SIL had a terrible experience with another location (locally operated U-Haul). This location had the truck we needed on minutes notice. Customer service was top notch. Really appreciate the help.

Uhaul storage is expensive! But, I rented a moving truck and it was amazingly comfortable, drove from Michigan to Florida in comfort! The staff at lake Ella location is excellent!!! Nice, kind helpful and they keep it very clean, even the bathroom was super clean. Good vehicles, great staff at lake Ella but like I said expensive storage felt like a bait And switch as there was a sign out front for a $79.00 unit thats never available.

I have gone into the office to purchase boxes several times, each and every time the staff are courteous, professional and very pleasant!

Highly dissatisfied and disappointed with this company . I will have to go through my bank to report two fraudulent transactions. The professional attitude does not exist here and I’m glad I paid extra to just go with a moving company . Good luck and watch the amounts they’re charging your card !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told Christoper Ferguson is the president! There is no way he could know what’s going on in this local Uhaul . But I’m going to make sure he finds out !

Furniture dolly not in truck when I went to pick it up. Had to return to the store to get it.Additionally, I paid for appliance/furniture mover which never never have. Did not get reimbursed.

The rates are reasonable for the level of security and the professionalism of the staff, however the out of town call center folks that answer the phone for this business are awful. 10 minute hold times only to be told theyll take a message and have the local store call you is pretty common. (a dozen calls in a year, similar results each time). Walk in is fantastic, theyre really great and making you feel welcome and appreciated.

Everyone that works there is so nice. Very helpful. They will go out of there way to make sure their customers are happy before you walk out the doors.

I have no words to express how dissatisfied, frustrated, and disappointed I am with this company. I used the online reservation system to rent a moving truck at this location. I even made the payment - it is not required to pay in advance. They called me hours before my pick up time to cancel my reservation. Their solution? They wanted me to drive to another state ( Alabama) to pick up a truck to come back to Tallahassee and then move my things to another city within Florida. Careful about renting with this company - they might cancel your reservation and leave you without any workable solution with very short notice. This is just a nightmare

I have used U-Haul at Lake Ella many times and they have been wonderful every time. Yolanda, one of the owners, does everything she can to make the rental go smoothly. She is a delight to work with. I recommend them very highly.

The app was giving me problems and I was obviously annoyed when I called into the store, but the woman working in the store was very understanding and helpful.

Rental units are clean and climate-controlled. Rental rates are a bit high, but the security and services are worth it. Jolonda is a fantastic manager, who responded positively to every single one of my inquiries. She helped me out tremendously, and I dont think her kindness is a one-time thing. You will always be treated kindly at this facility, should you choose to rent a unit here.

Online reservations made check in easy; the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful when I requested an extra day.

We are from out of state Virginia and needed a secure clean location to store my daughters stuff for the summer between FSU semesters. The owners were so helpful from getting us settled, getting us a lock, giving us directions to local places. The times are convenient; there was no wait and we were in and out with two truckloads in less than an hour

They made moving less stressful by being one less thing to deal with. In and out without hidden expenses. Great.

This location charged my credit card twice for a one day local trailer rental.

Definitely not the Uhaul standard Im accustomed to! Staff has horrible customer service and manager is rude! When I returned the truck I was charged extra for gas. I called and told the manager that I had taken pictures of the gas level before I left to prove that I filled the gas back to where it was when I received the truck. Despite my proof, he nonchalantly told me there was nothing he could do about it. I will not be using this location again!

I made a reservation for a pick up truck, a 5x8 trailer and an appliance dolly at the Lake Ella Uhaul in Tallahassee Florida more than a week ago. I received a text message yesterday asking me to call and confirm a reservation I had already confirmed and even pre-checked in for.I drove over 200 miles from Jacksonville to Tallahassee, only to be told that someone else had needed an appliance dolly, so they let them have the last one. I asked what solution they had for not honoring the reservation. The woman said she could call another dealer. She called and then hung up the phone and walked away. I asked what she had found out and she said, “ Nothin’, they ain’t answering the phone.” She then stated that we could drive to another dealer and “see do they have one.” I said that an appliance dolly would not fit in my small Hyundai Elantra. She shrugged.Her rude attitude and unwillingness to do anything to help after I had driven more than 200 miles trusting in the reservation I had made and confirmed, were appalling.I asked to speak to the supervisor, and she told me she was the supervisor, and indeed, her name tag read, “Jolanda Hicks, OWNER.”I asked her if she even cared how inconvenienced a customer had been by this and she stared at me and said nothing. My wife asked her what she could do to help us out and she stood there and stared at her.We left.

The place you sent me not only did not have the trailer, it did not even open until noon.Next you sent me to another location that also did not have the trailer .Two hours oh city driving in the broiling city heat - for nothing.The Lake Ella UHaul is incompetent as well as Unique Wonders U-Haul-and everyone else involved.Needless to say, I will not try to use U-Haul ever again -but I will tell anyone else the same.ps.I had to cancel an order due to be picked up and delivered - money out of my pocket .pps.The Tennessee St. U-Haul were professional and helpful, but had no one-way trailer.Not their fault.S.English

My wife and I came to this location hoping to take advantage of the 1 month of free storage that came with our uhaul trailer. They didnt have any units available, which is understandable, but the employee there was borderline rude with her suggestion Why dont yall just use a shed? Well, we just moved from North Carolina and we dont have a shed, her response So just use one of your friends sheds then... What part of just moved from another state did she not get, we said that wasnt an option, her response Yall dont have any friends? You dont know anyone with sheds? Is this some weird Florida thing, meeting people for their sheds? Did we just become a part of the weirdest interrogation ever? Yes, yes we did. The shift manager was listening to all of this and didnt interject to help us with the densest employee ever. He only got involved to tell us there were no units available anywhere in town at all, they suggested we try another city or Georgia... we called Uhauls toll free line instead. There was a unit available a mile and a half away... Thanks, for nothing Lake Ella Uhaul.

This store is the rudest and worst image for uhaul. After the employee guaranteeing us that the trailer would meet our needs, it quickly did not. Attempted to return it to the store and have it refunded within 20minutes due to the trailer not even being somewhat close to what we needed. The employee refused to credit us back, contacted his manager who said too bad and then refused to assist a handicapped woman remove the trailer from the truck. I was so dumbfounded I had to video this mess. and when you call uhual corporate to file a complaint and advised them of the video with the employee refusing to assist a handicapped individual with clearly labeled uhaul equipment; get told do whatever you need to do. This location is a pure joke and I will never, EVER use uhaul again.

I had a reservation for a truck rental and they gave my spot away to a walk-in 30 minutes before I arrived and I was on time. The excuse I was given was it was based on availability, so I said ok theres 3 trucks out there.. they said those are reserved. This place is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Ill never use their services or attempt to use their services ever again!

Waste of money and waste of time. They did not honor the rate or promotion after making a reservation with a staff memeber the day before. I had to go with another company to rent a truck and storage which cost about half of what Uhaul was charging.

There are too many storage options than to do business with these folks! I experienced Terrible customer service and climate controlled units were above posted temperature,Non working elevators,locked restrooms and very trashy exterior.

An employee backed into my car. The owner was very rude.

Very very unprofessional. Mr. Williams has very bad potty mouth and not to mention he’s not job scared. Gave me his real government name and advised me to call corporate. He used the word ‘BRUH’ addressing me about 6 times or more. He went on to tell my two sons and I that we don’t intimidate him and we got the right one today. The yelling and screaming at ME was unbearable. Highly don’t recommend this location at ALL!!! Not to mention wanted to charge me for a dolly I swear I didn’t use at all. Not sure how the strap broke.
