Been to these guys a couple times recently and they’ve been great. Went in today for a busted lug nut stud. Solid communication, quick service. Shout out to Clark and the Tuesday morning crew for helping me out.

Really nice employees. I received great service as soon as I entered, person at the front counter was super friendly and personable. Manager was flexible and transparent with prices and fees. Prices were a bit steep but whole service was offered and done promptly. I definitely would recommend if money isnt a barrier.

This was my 1st time at this location. Devin was absolutely wonderful. He was professional and fixed our car issue. The parts for my infinity was hard to find but Devin was gracious and made a way. He went the extra mile. I also witnessed him greeting others with the same respect and called a customer by name.Which shows he takes time to know his customers. Just another place that price gouges women. I went here in the summer for an A/C recharge and the new manager seemed trustworthy. His price was fair according to the internet and the work was solid, so I decided to come back because my passenger window wasn’t working.The manager wasn’t there, but I figured I could trust his mechanics. Including a diagnostic, I paid $631.77. The part averages $40-$100 online, yet they bought it from the dealership for $245. The average cost for a window regulator repair is $270-$370. I know I’m at fault because I didn’t research it first, but at the end of the day, you shouldn’t take advantage of people.I sent an email expressing my issue and a person from corporate, named Damian said to contact him. My boyfriend called and politely explained our situation and Damian had the nerve to lash out at him. After some back and forth, he said he’d look into reimbursing a portion of the bill and then contact us, but he never did.

I got a dead battery nearby, and decided to give them a call to see if they could help me out. They went out of their way to come out when busy to give me a helping hand no question. Planning on taking my car in for my next maintenance appointment after outstanding customer service!

Deven, Richard, and Ryan are awesome guys! Very helpful and very professional. Highly recommend them to anybody who is in need of repairs or general maintenance.

Great, honest service. My brake lights went off so I took my car here. The manager took a look at it and it turns out there was nothing wrong with it, but he did spot a small leak in the engine and gave me a discount since I have something else that needs to be looked at later, but will be costlier to fix up.

Had some issues with the lights on my vehicle. Called and spoke to Deven who was able to fit me in to get my situation taken care of. Excellent service and wonderful attitudes for manager and employees. This will now be the place I take my vehicle if any issues arise!!

My exhaust system had completely separated from itself and was shot. I was literally out of commission, so I sent an email to Buckys on Sprague Ave since my car was broke down a few blocks away. Brian, shop manager, emailed me back right away and told me to bring it by so they could take a look before giving me a price quote. So I got a ride down there and drove my car in a couple hours later. I was afraid since I was basically in desperation mode, that I might get taken advantage of - but Brian was super cool, friendly, professional, and honest. Not only did he quote me half the price of the quote I had gotten before he took over new management, he got me in right away and I was back on the road that same day. He even did a full tune-up and threw in a free oil change just because I asked him if that was possible. Normally they wouldnt do that anywhere else, but Brian is a good hearted guy, and very reasonable.I would definitely recommend taking your car in to Buckys on Sprague! They were great! Very professional; I even had to take it back in as I had a question relating to an entirely different issue - they just happened to be slammed with work - but he leap-frogged me right in and looked at the issue for me. That really says a lot about the team down there. They not only do great work, but they actually care about their customers. I know where I will be taking my car(s) next time I gave any mechanical needs. Brian is a really good guy! No complaints here.

Went in for an oil change and 2 days later my car won’t start. I’ve NEVER had trouble with my car until bringing it to these guys. Now I have to find another mechanic to see what’s wrong. Not planning on going back.Update: I wanted to update this review and move it from one star to four. I found out my battery was old, the mechanic had not caused the issue during the oil change, aside from not tightening my battery after he was done with the oil change. They performed a fine oil change quickly and was kind to me while I was there. Although I never reached out to the owner, I was pleased to see they attempted to rectify the issue by responding to the review. I will continue you to go here, and I apologize for the harsh review initially. Thanks for the great service.

They decided to work on my old 85 MR2 with an engine swap when no other shops would. Prices were reasonable and they were incredibly informative and passionate. Be honest, if you do know about something or dont. And theyll work with the truth by doing their own honest work.Will be coming back when I can!

I took my car in to diagnose the heat issue and I let him know that the fan on my radiator had not been kicking on. I dropped my car off at 9am. I called right before I went into an appointment at 355pm n he had not touched my car yet. He called back 15 minutes later n left a message saying its the heater core and that one hose is hot n one cold. He said that the fan is fine. Lies lies lies. I got a second opinion n both hoses are hot and the fan was not working at all. Liar liar pants on fire 🔥 Ill never go there again. He tried to take me for 900 dollars.

Thieves! Manager referred me their mechanic LYLE who literally stole my car. Racked up tickets and impound fees over $1000. And the cops are telling me I am liable for it cuz I left it at buckys willingly..MANAGEMENT Refused to give me his last name. Telling me he no longer works there. Now I have no car and owe all this money. Fraudulent DO NOT GO HERE!!!

It’s really hard to pay attention to ratings when you’re in a time crunch/a difficult situation, I’m sure there are many places in Tacoma that will do just as good of a job without you having to pay an arm and a leg. Quoted me $530 and charged me $975 day just make sure you get the right quote from them my rating is obviously based on communication skills

If I knew more about mechanics, I might rate lower or higher. Anyhow, they fixed my car for below the quote provided on the phone, because the part was a different, and cheaper, part than anticipated. They could have charged me the full amount, but didnt. They knew that I was already blow away by the cost of the repair, so I appreciate their honesty.

These guys treated me right. They were VERY communicative, and helped me to prioritize repairs and work within my budget. They were a little no frills - but that is what I look for in a car mechanic. Only downside is they took a long time, but that was mostly due to me insisting on going the cheap route. I would recommend them to a friend.

I love the team! Awesome place, way better than precision tune auto care where I used to bring my car. They will work with you if you just talk to them.I had my timing belt & power steering belt replaced. Great job!! I always bring them snacks as a small thank you! They are expensive. They make you feel like just got taken. But I can say they did the work. Even though they didnt put the timing belt cover on, for a timing belt replacement. Or the splash guards.. or charging way more for parts.I wouldnt recommend them with my experience. Wished I would of shopped around. But can they did get the car running. Be careful.

Go at your own risk. Others say this place is great, and Im sure the work was fine. But I just paid over $100 for the privilege of an oil change, a rude and dismissive owner, a new whistle in my air filter, and a bunch of greasy fingerprints all over the interior of my vehicle.It may be the place for you, but it certainly wasnt the place for me, and I wont be returning.

Just came in to just to get a see why my engine was overheating. I should have asked if they charged for looking at it. 98 dollars plus tax, for something that should be for free And the guy who helped was nice but didnt say anything until after i filled out the paper

They going gouge you in price. Shop around.says one price then explained prices went up 2 days ago. Get with the program. Says they will have the car fixed tomorrow and 3 days later its ready. Parts store delivered the wrong part. Their a block away exchange them & get it fixed. Darn brakes.

I am so angry with this place. I have had two repairs done here in the past 5 days and my car STILL has problems starting. Im sitting in a vehicle that wont start typing this review. $300 for my car to be worse off than when I first brought it to them. Friendly service? Yes. But Id rather deal with someone gruff and have an operative vehicle than have someone friendly take my money and break my car.

PUT IT THIS WAY... BUCKYS ON 6th WAITS FOR FEMALES TO SCAM. I knew I shouldn’t have gone to this place when the manager started off by saying “you look like my ex girlfriend” ....like what is that supposed to mean. Anyways... I knew something was wrong with my Transmission and I asked immediately for Buckys to check my transmission. The manager had called me Later that day and told me that there were two things wrong with my car and I had nothing to do with my transmission and that he had seen a Chevy Cruz before with the same problem. I then believed what he said and that cost me about a grand and I went to pick up my car and pay my bill and I had asked did you check my transmission and he said no because “such such were the problem” .... Come to find out a couple days later my car is acting even worse and when I called to get it repaired he finally checked the transmission and proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay even more money to get my transmission fixed which I knew because it is a transmission issue. He never addressed the fact that I told him to correct the issue with the transmission which is what I wanted in the first place. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FEMALE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY BEFORE. On top of it when I told them not to touch my car they were working on it when I came to take it and get a second opinion. I have no idea what they did under the hood. Never got $275 refunded even though I paid a grand to have NOTHING fixed in my car and it was WORSE when I took it off the lot..... come to find out not that I have talked to other people this place SCAMS all the time. He told me to call corporate blah blah blah... worst place I have ever been to and trust me I will be talking to corporate.

What a waste of time..Called in 2 hours before bringing in my car, no problem, guerentee done before 530. 445, 2 hours later. No work done. Cant get to it today. Thanks for the monumental waste of time. Qss

Im beyond aggravated at this point. Three days in a row. To be fair, the vehicle is a POS, however after dropping $1,200 in repairs I expect the issue to be resolved. Three days, two tows, and $1,200 and the same mechanical failures persist.The gentlemen at the desk has been very helpful and curtious. But that doesnt go far past appreciative when your vehicle keeps leaving you stranded. Id take poor customer relations over poor mechanical proffiency any day of the week.

Went here to get a battery terminal repaired charged me 100 dollars said it took an hour and the terminal wasn’t repaired at all and completely fell apart. Exposed wires missing bolts etc.

After the fuel pump and filter were replaced, the car started acting up. Honestly I thought the two might be related, but without implication, the manager said he was not sure if his guys caused it or not, and he would just fix it, no charge! Thank you! It might not have been their responsibility, but they fixed it all the same!
