It is always nice coming here I love the customer service and Im happy they were able to fit me in so my truck could be fixed. The gentleman was even nice enough to give my son a quarter for the gumball machine my truck was fixed pretty fast thanks for all your guys hard work .

After a terrible day of getting my vehicle stolen and stripped of its catalytic converter, I was able to get the best help from Bucky’s. I went here heart broken, when a mainstream tire dealer and installer damaged exhaust components that have been discontinued by the manufacturer. No big deal right? Wrong, it is an Apexi N1 titanium coated cat back for my 02 Nissan Sentra spec v. A lot of work has been done to restore and tune it. Cody and the team at this location are amazing. They gave my a no bs approach to the repair when I couldnt find the parts and wanted to save a now rare/legendary piece of import tuning culture. Once we found the pipe was mild steel they were set loose and I was completely satisfied with the results. They repaired a crushed bracket and relocated the hanger to better suit the stress placed on the resonator. Repaired a hole left from the damage and coated their work with a heat tolerant matching color. They respected my car and treated me beyond professional, like family. I will definatly return, thank you fam!!

Brian and his team replaced my calipers rotors and pads and fixed my wheel speed sensor wire. Which fixed my abs light and pad wear light. They did a good job. I have a 1955 Ford Thunderbird that has a very unique and tricky exhaust system that runs through and exits the rear transom of the car between the truck deck and the rear bumper, has tight bends, and little room to work. Brian, Shelby, and there exhaust tech did an AMAZING job of getting the exhaust pipes and tips to fit properly so that they were perfectly centered and of equal length on both sides as they exit the car. They also did a great job on positioning the new mufflers themselves, adding hangers to eliminate vibrations, etc. They were professional, timely, and priced well considering the type of custom work that needed to be done. They exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for QUALITY exhaust work done.

We brought our Explorer most recently to Buckys to diagnose a possible electrical issue. Brian discovered the starter was fried due to a failing battery. We were very pleased with the quick work, friendly service and unbeatable cost for this repair. About two years ago technicians at Buckys did a full brake job on the Explorer, and again, completed it in a timely manner, and with low cost for the extensive work the brakes required. We have another repair it needs soon, and we will definitely get it done at Buckys. Highly recommended!

Our check engine light came on so we went to a local AutoZone for a free Fix Finder Service. The diagnostic came back with (2) codes, both having to do with the Evaporative Emission System. One code suggested a large EVAP leak . In preparation for shipping our car out of Tacoma we decided to get any and all work done by a trusted mechanic. For the last few years we have worked with Jeremy at the Buckys at 603 S. Sprauge so we headed over there but Jeremy was no longer at that location. We decided to give another location a try so we went to the Tacoma Narrows Buckys on 6th. When we went there we were sure it would be a cracked EVAP hose because the AutoZone diagnostic said so. Well Brian at Buckys ran another diagnostic which found no major leak and told us to head to the dealership at buy a new gas cap. Voilà! Simple fix.What makes me write this review is that Brian could have charged us over a 100 bucks for the new diagnostic or he could have just went on the information we provided with the original diagnostic codes and charged us for an unnecessary repair. Instead he did told us exactly what the problem was, what to do to fix it and then reset the car so the check engine light turned off.If you are looking for a fair and honest mechanic, check you Brian at Buckys Tacoma Narrows.

I had a bad experience at another auto shop down the street from Buckys. I was hesitant to bring my car to another auto shop. But I had purchased a used car and it had this horrible motorcycle sounding sound anytime I started the car, and it needed to be fixed. I took a chance and went to Buckys. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and 2 hours later they called me telling me what the problem was. Apparently my vehicle had been apart of an accident, they noticed an impact underneath the vehicle and asked me if I ran over something recently. I told them I purchased the car recently. They said it must of been in an accident. They were able to fix the issue and give me back the cat the same day. And the loud motorcycle sound was gone. I was very impressed with the service I received they were nice and fast and efficient. The job was definitely done with care. I will be coming back to Buckys in the future. Thanks guys for the great service.

So there we were at a Macdonald’s across the street from Bucky’s at 5:30 pm and we noticed that our tire was losing air fast. We drove to Bucky’s since we noticed they were still opened hoping they can help us. I went inside to see if they can fix my tire. Though tire replacement wasn’t in their scope of work, they did what they could to help me. Even though they were just about to close they were willing to help me put on my spare tire out in the rain. I insisted on paying but they didn’t charge me. All that being said, this is a place I would take to take my car to for repairs. They make you feel like family!

Recently purchased a used car and brought it in for regular maintenance. I really appreciated the communication and understanding they provided while answering all of my questions and being genuinely helpful in general. I’m glad to have a place I can recommend to people because I had a great experience.

Very helpful and friendly owner and employees. Even though they were busy the day I went they were able to check my car pretty quickly. I had heard a popping noise and my car defroster fan and heater fan stopped. I looked online and it seemed it was going to be an expensive repair. But the owner took a look and said he just popped a cable back in place and it worked fine. It was great to know that now Ive found a great place for all my future car repairs!

I love Buckys in general but this is by FAR my favorite location and Ive been to a fair amount through the Puget Sound. The manager Kevin is always super helpful and goes above and beyond. They are very busy sometimes but that just shows that they are trusted and they have offered to hang around after close so I can come grab my car after they worked super hard to get it done. Im always impressed by them each and every time!

Don’t take your car here or any other Buckey’s location if you value your money or car. Went to the one in Auburn and they play Russian Roulette with parts on your dime. Steer clear of this one!

Kevin and the whole crew there did an awesome job on my Jeep Grand Cherokee that had the infamous hemi tick. They also found a leaking thermostat on the engine and fixed all for a fair price and all in one day. I highly recommend them.

Quality work for an affordable price. They came in well below quotes I got from other shops. They have top quality additives and oils on tap if requested. Very honest and polite employees. They take me right in every time and always invite me back to do follow up inspections a week later to reassure everything is operating properly.

I needed my trailer hitch worked on before Labor Day Weekend and I was totally in a bind, had gone to two other places in Gig Harbor, both of which said they were slammed before the big weekend... someone sent me to Bucky’s on 6th Ave, Tacoma, and they got me right in and started working on it. The guy couldn’t fix it but told me to come back in the morning, so I did. The awesome guys in the shop spent an hour trying to get the trailer pin out (it was stuck) and used every tool possible. He fixed it, charged me for half the labor, and I was on my way. The best customer service ever! Now our weekend away can get started.

The only nice guy in this place is Kevin, BUT stay away from this place cause, I left my car for oil change on 11/08 and my car stayed 2 nights there and ended up with broken passenger window and robbed!!! 2 other cars on their parking lot also were with broken windows!They didn’t want take any responsibility, even the car was in their property. With the question Why no security cameras and whatever they said will not help .The Conclusion is go for simple oil change and get No oil change and broken and robbed car.BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THEY DONT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENEDI UNDERSTAND THAT, BUT AT LEAST TO DO SOMETHING LIKE WARNING THE CLIENTS ABOUT THE BAD AREA

Quality work and for less than other places I shopped around at. They are busy most of the time but very accommodating to your needs on your vehicle. Im very picky and they didnt hesitate to make me happy with my exhaust I had installed, trying out different mufflers after I had already put one on and was not satisfied from the sound. Shame on me good on them. They didnt have to do that, manager was happy to though!!!

I called Buckys around noon on a Saturday asking if they could fit me in for brake pads. They graciously agreed. When I got there they found my brakes were far worse than I thought. They took me into the shop and showed me everything that was wrong and what it should look like. They made sure I understood everything.In order to get me safely on the road, the staff fixed everything for ing them to stay late that evening. They also made sure I was able to afford everything comfortably.I cant say enough about this shop on 6th Avenue and the staff there. As bad as my brakes were they may really have been true lifesavers!

I went in to get an oil change for my car and they found two leaks, or “problems” so I approved two diagnostics to be done! One solved one of my problems the other should’ve, but because they’re not Chevy specialists, they went in blind! Ultimately they suggested I go to a Chevy dealership, which I did, and the mechanic there told me that the diagnostics I paid for with at this location should’ve detected the leak they said they couldn’t find! The Chevy mechs only knew what was done because I provided them with all the diagnostics results from Buckys!So I was 400$ ripped off by this location for something “supposedly” they could’ve fixed! I’d recommend this location for oil changes only and if they bring up any problems, just go to specialist, so you don’t get ripped off!!

I took it here today, Kevin took the tire off, located the leak, fixed the leak, bled the line, and said Thank you for bringing it in, theres no charge and youre good to go. ... Came in to replace front struts and coils place was almost closed but shop took me in and offered great price really appreciate the dedication. I work as armed officer and have almost no time for anything and shop made it happen I will defintly be back this weekend to install rear shock on car as well.

My sister came in this morning for an oil change and a minor squeal from what she assumed was the brakes. Keep in mind it’s an almost new car with about 25,000 miles on it. She was told her brakes were down to almost nothing and that the noise was because she needed new front brakes. Not knowing any better she agreed. While she was waiting she informed us she was going to be a while longer while she waited for the brakes to be done. I immediately questioned it and had her tell them she wanted to see the old parts. She sent me a picture of the pads that “needed replaced right away” and, big shocker, they were nowhere near worn out and did not need to be replaced.I only see two ways this happens.1. This place lives up to the stereotype of how to over sell a woman by herself who knows no better. I’d hope that’s not it but at this point, who knows?Or2. The “technicians” are not actually mechanics and likely hold no certification, education or experience. They simply fell into a job and consider now themselves “mechanics”.Either way the result is the same. You took my sisters hard earned money to perform a service that was never needed to begin with. If they are indeed ASE certified mechanics then they clearly cheated on the brake section. Not to mention that considering the strong possibility of the latter we now have to do our own inspection to make sure things were installed correctly since trust is clearly not in the cards.I have been a customer at this place several times, as has many of our family members. I don’t think I need to say it but I will, strongly, say that they will never see any of our business again. When the manager reads this I’d hope he will find a way to make it right for her, like he should.

5/29/2013 Update....So I took my expedition back first thing in the morning. The lead mechanic took a look at my vehicle and after about an hour and a half of testing he finally figured out the problem. The shop was very understanding with my frustration and the lead mechanic and Mary took care of me. They didnt charge me for any of the 3.5hrs of labor and only charged me for the part that seemed to fix the problem. I would totally recommend the lead mechanic, He knows what he is doing and the shop manager is true to her word and even called to check to make sure everything was going well a week later. I would definitely recommend and my confidence has been restored.5/28/2013I took my expedition in today for trouble with it hesitating when idling like it was going to cut off. It only happened rarely, but since I commute far and have children I wanted to take care of it asap. I was told sparks plugs, new coil need to be replace because it was misfiring. I pretty much already new that was the issue. I was told it was test drove and rechecked after the work was done. Well $600 later not only was the car jerking and hesitating from the start, it now makes a new noise. I have immediately called and informed my vehicle is doing it a lot more than before. I got the impression they had a rookie working on my vehicle which I am not happy about. So the lead tech says he will look at it first thing in the morning, no charge........***.Review subject to change after tomorrow***.

Kevin and the team did rotors, pads, and calipers on the rear of my VW Passat. My vehicle was done when they said it would be. No surprises in the pricing. Excellent pricing, coupled with prompt and professional service are the reasons why I will be returning to Buckys Tacoma Narrows the next time my vehicle needs service. I suggest you try them too.

Lied to. I dropped the car off at 9am, explained that I had a leaking exhaust manifold gasket, which I had already diagnosed, and asked if they would be able to get to it that day, since I needed the car to get home at 5pm. The tech at the counter suggested that the manifold studs are usually snapped off and that that was probably the problem. I said, ok well take a look at it and let me know. I work less than a block away, and can see where I had parked my car and it never moved, nor did I ever see anyone working on it, or the hood up or anything. So, after six hours of no action, with my time running out, I walked over and asked if they were going to get to it in time for me to drive it home. They proceeded to write up an estimate to replace the exhaust manifold and studs for about $500+. I informed them that I knew they had never touched the car, took the keys, and left. Upon returning to my office, I popped the hood to see for myself if anything had been touched (it hadnt). But, more interestingly, the vehicle isnt even equipped with studs on the exhaust manifold...it bolts into the head. So, it was impossible for there to be broken exhaust manifold studs, since the vehicle doesnt have exhaust manifold studs. I recommend you stay away from this shop.

I have no complaints from Bucky ..I love them working on my car..
