Great place to live, has many amenities the clubhouse is great and Brittani the manager in the office is awesome!
Excellent living experience and cost and a great apartment complex for friendly dogs! Maintenance was prompt and the community was mostly quiet. When it came time to move out, we were not over charged and received most of our deposit back, but there were some hiccups with billing and we were mistakenly sent to debt collections. The issue was resolved, but it was a bit of a hassle for a few months.
I have lived at this property for a year, now moving into a home. They have a great amenity if you own a dog, on grounds dog park. The manager Alecia is very helpful and enjoyed working with her. She made moving in and out a seem less process. We are going to miss her, she has been a blessing here.I would definitely recommend this facility to others.
Well I dont even live at these apartments but I was reading some of the comments about Alicia and it sounds to me like Alicia needs a raise so kudos to Alicia
I called seeking information and was pleasantly surprised by how informative and genuine Alecia was. She explained the area, and told me all of the great amenities that are on site. It was very helpful as, I am not from Washington- to have a visual of the area from our conversation. I am flying out in January and will be their to meet with Alecia and rent from her. She is truly an asset to this business, thanks again Alecia!
I’ve lived at Forest Hill Village for a little over 2 years now and I find peace here. Alecia makes sure any work orders get done in a timely manner and is very responsive. It’s quiet here for the most part and a safe place for the kids to play. I’m thankful for the stability of this place.
I Toured the property yesterday and was very impressed by how clean it was. I have been apartment hunting for two weeks and have not seen one as well kept. Alecia - was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered every question I had and even offered me a refreshment. I will be back in December and will be renting from Alecia .
The manager Alicia is very professional, kind, and helpful! She goes above and beyond to help with any concerns. The maintenance is also kind and helpful. Completing all maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
I really enjoy my time at forest hill village, is a quiet, clean and beautiful community. the maintenance staff is just amazing, there kind and very helpful. and the manager is a truly professional and provided exceptional customer service,., and makes the office visit easy., everyone is friendly, i would recommend ., kudos to the team.
Janitor man not opening the door for me can you contact him and tell him to open the door for me so I can play some pool Id appreciate it thank you
A wonderful place! Alecia is always on the top of her game to make sure that all the residents are fulfilled & happy in their homes. Would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to live in Tacoma!
I toured the property yesterday and Finesse and Alecia were so great especially with everything going on right now. They were still able to be amazingly helpful with providing me with information and having the apartment open for my family & I to see and had beverages waiting for us. They even called a little after us being in the apartment and asked if we had any questions they could be of help with. My family & I are very happy with how they have treated us and plan to place an application in as soon as possible!
My boyfriend and I have lived at this property for a few years now and since Alecia took over as manager it has improved so much! She is super friendly and helped us out greatly during the pandemic when we hit tough times. We will definitely be renewing our lease this year!
Alicia has worked wonderfully with me as a resident here! Times have been so difficult, however her and her staff have been phenomenal! Thank you so much.
I had a tour a few days ago, everything was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Excellent Management, very helpful.
No complaints except the 1 out of 2 washers i have access to has been out of order since I moved in.
The manager and maintenance team is amazing! Always helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this property!
The manager and maintenance team are amazing! Super clean property, management keeps things in good order and the new maintenance staff is wonderful!
Great place! Alecia is a superstar! Makes you feel happy, welcome, and well taken care of!
I know some people would rather vent and write bad reviews but I think it’s best to write down when things are going good as well. Within a week I had called, applied and moved into these apartments with the most amazing experience. Mind you, during the largest Pandemic I have ever experienced. Things weren’t normal, we weren’t able to see the apartment before moving in but this didn’t stop Finesse (apartment assistant manager) from making this possible for us to still see the inside via FaceTime. From the first phone call she was so beyond helpful and always SO nice. Even after we have lived here for about a week she is still so helpful. With the small maintenance issues we have had (again due to covid) it’s been hard to work them out but this management team made it happen. We’ve met Mike & Lewis so far, maintenance workers for the apartments and again, SO friendly and such a great team together. We’ve had large requests and small ones and they have been completed within DAYS. I mean who can say the maintenance team comes within days even during all of this? Well I can. If you are looking for a great home, a great team of workers and a satisfied experience, this is the place for you. Thank you all for the hard work, Foster Family
I just signed my second year lease Ive had nothing but a great experience living here wonderful management apartments are beautiful inside and out quiet neighborhood I couldnt ask for anything better for me and my son thank you Forest Hill village
In 2017 we rented an apartment there for about 6 months. When we moved in we worked with Bella and she was awesome. Soon after she transferred properties and the service wasn’t as great. But that’s not the issue.I traveled for work, my wife went to visit some friends on the east side of the mountain. We came home to our apartment flooded and most of our belongings destroyed. The bottom of the water heater rusted out and flooded the whole unit. This kind of thing can happen and really nobody is to Blame. What followed was an awful month of being homeless. It took days to get someone in to repair it, we stopped by and checked on it and they had cut holes in the drywall to air it out. This is when we noticed the walls were completely filled with mold. After going back and forth for over a week, they tried to put my wife up in a hotel a few different nights but their card was declined and she was left on the streets. They kept telling us they were working on it, but nothing was to be done about the mold, they were just going to dry it out. Finally after 30 days of not being able to inhabit our apartment. They finally agreed to terminate our lease.I know every property management company is different, but when we applied we paid an extra deposit to move in, when we moved back north to Mill Creek, we paid no deposit. I guess our credit couldn’t have been that bad...Basically, don’t live here, you probably have moldy walls. Granted they did strip the carpet and repaint when the meth heads upstairs finally got evicted.
Stay away I filled out an app for the Tacoma Forest hill village. I was told I was denied by the screening company but the manager of the property approved me. The only thing I was waiting for is for cooperate to approve it as well. The lady Latoya told me it should be by Friday to have some patience. So I did, today is Friday and I’ve found a different property to rent from. I call back today to request my holding fee back *$100..No answer all day. Left 3 messages and etc. every time I call my calls are forwarded to voicemail. My girlfriend called and it rang straight threw. These people are dishonest and pretends to help you while they are screwing you. I will be seeking legal representation for my fee to be refunded and will be seeking more form damages. STAY AWAY!!
Great experience with staff and spacious apartments. Alecia was very helpful and accommodating.
I recently toured the facility and was surprised at how clean the premises were kept. Management was extremely courteous and able to answer all of my questions.
Alecia is the reason I live in these buildings. Greatest customer service ever!
It’s not terrible, but there’s a lot to be desired.
I went on a tour there with my family and i had my son with me, Alicia was very kind and sweet towards us as my child was more fussy. she was so patient and friendly we really like the property it’s kept very clean.i couldn’t ask for a better experience.
So far I’m impressed! We applied for an apartment this week and with some looming credit issues but great rental history and verifiable income, they still seem willing to work with us. Communication about pending application have been speedy and upfront. I prices seem market standard for size of apartments In the area. I would recommend applying here.
The worst experience Ive ever had. I stopped by to learn about this apartment early this month because I pass it every day.The manager was only able to show me the model unit. The model unit is updated and looks nice. This made me want to move in so I applied the same day and paid the 200 holding fee.The next day I seen another same layout apartment on their website for 95 dollars cheaper so I call and ask if I can get that apartment instead because Id rather spend less money. The manager tells me Im locked into the price that the apartment was from the day I applied. I then asked if I could apply again because Id spend more than what I had already paid in just two months. The manager told me I couldnt do this, then told me that the unit that was listed for cheaper was cheaper because the kitchen appliances didnt match and because I had told her matching appliances were pretty important to me.So I agreed to keep the unit I applied for an got approved for. I spend the next week or so packing. The day I was scheduled to move in, the lease was sent to me to sign. I have lived in 8 apartments owned by multiple companies and have never received the lease prior to doing a walk through of the unit I will be moving into until this situation. I got there to sign the lease after work and the manager seemed shocked that I had not signed the lease I stated I wanted to walk the unit first. The appliances didnt match in the unit and the cupboards were nothing like the pictures online or the model unit and the dining room was carpeted unlike the hardwood in the model. She could tell I was not interested so she then offered to show me another unit that was available. This unit smelled like something died in there, and knobs of the cabinetry were updated and the dining room was hardwood.I left in disbelief. I couldnt believe I was scammed into paying 200 holding fee for a unit that looked nothing like the inside of the model. I had already given notice to leave my current apartment and I would advise everyone to steer clear of this apartment complex and the shady things they do.
I was initially shown the apartment by Crystal who was very nice. I decided I liked the property, and filled out an application. After a small problem came up with my application, I began working with Bella. She is absolutely amazing!!!! Kind, warm, professional and understanding of my unique needs, she went above and beyond to assure I was approved and moved in a little earlier than my original move in date. The apartment is beautiful. Very spacious, grounds well kept, and nice neighbors. The highlight of my experience was Bella!
Alecia and the rest of the team are all amazing.
I have not leaved there but on be Wed 12/19/18 I caught the bus there to inquire about a one bedroom apartment because I couldnt get anyone on the phone. When I got there it was on out to lunch sign on the door so I walked around on my Walker looking at over apartments. I finally made it back in time enough to see a woman taking down one out to lunch sign and see her put up another out to lunch sign and wouldnt even talk to me after seeing me there on a walker. I took it as a sign that that wasnt the place for me and left. There was nothing as I could do or say about the situation....
The apartments are really nice as long as you make sure to inspect them before signing paperwork. The showroom is nice but the first apartment we looked at was very beat up we end up going with a different apartment in their complex. The complex is very quiet quiet even though its right on a main through Road. Management routinely leaves early with no notices. And it can be very hard to get in contact even by phone.
I lived here for 3yrs. They paint a pretty picture to people to live here. The neighbors are really loud and they are people break into and stealing cars. They say they will give half of your deposit back. They lie. We owe over a 1000.00 dollars. They told us not to clean the apartment. We didnt do any damage to the place, but yet we still owed them money. There are drug needles on the ground. The grounds are always dirty. I wouldnt recommend this place to nobody. Theyre far better places to live.
I would rather die than continue to live here. i am unequivocally disgusted with the poor and disgusting management of this community. i absolutely hate it here
My advice is to look else where. If you want the best for your money, Here are my reasons!Living there was ok. They dont ensure that their tenants clean up their dogs feces. They also dont follow Washington state laws for what is an emergency maintenance request. But, their worst feature I MUST inform all of you of is their ability to accurately estimate their charges after you move out so they dont have to give you back your deposit. When my wife and I moved out they wanted to charge us almost 1500.00 dollars to replace carpet in 2 rooms which since I have worked in home reconstruction I know can be done at the lovely price of 375 dollars MAX! Besides the carpets where stained before we moved in which cut out over half the price. And they also wanted to charge an extra 130 dollars for a FULL CLEAN even though my wife and I spent 2 full days cleaning the Apt and have a full album of pictures to prove it was spotless upon our exit and turning in of the keys. And the reason I know that it is bogus is because my wife works in property management and has been for over 3 years. THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!
I absolutely LOVED this complex!prices are great, the staff is very friendly, and i miss them all dearly!the community is quiet, tucked away, and well maintained.any problems were very promptly taken care of.can not express how wonderful this complex is.you will love it!
Worst place to live. Management is not helpful. TooExpensive for a disgusting apartment. Over charge me for cleaning even after I cleaned up the apartment. Charge me for painting on the wall even when the walls were not damage. I would never recommend this place to anyone or friends and family. Dont do it!!!!!!
Lived at forest hill village apartments for 6 months and I am glad I am not living there anymore. I totally agree with Joseph Gartner this place is a total dump. The staff does not do any cleaning on the stairwells, so dead bugs and spiderwebs build up to the point that they are flatly disgusting to walk through. The pool is closed for maintenance every summer. They don’t enforce dog cleaning policy, so there is literally poop everywhere outside.
Moved out of the apartment a month ago and still have not received my refund deposit for nearly 500 dollars. This is exactly how they do business. Terrible. Also they said they.mailed 6/2/2016 from San Diego. Today is the 6/6/2016 where is my money. If I didnt pay you on time I would have been evicted. Also there is a law to determine how long you have to refund a person which is two weeks.
Run far away as fast as you can. I was planning on living here for at least a year, but more likely 18 months. By 9 months in, I moved out and chose to be homeless with a 2 yr old and being 8 months pregnant over living here. Now 3 months after moving out Im still trying to finalize any association with this place. It wasnt just any one thing, it was repetitive flaws and failure to follow thru. The people are sweet, but seem more likely to stab you in the back when you turn around. So take any I will with a grain of salt or constantly nag them until complete.
I lived here for 10 months with 3 roommates. We loved how private it was and how much space the apartment provided for not too much money. We almost always had problems with our washer (it was always extremely loud and the center piece was held on with duct tape and would fly off halfway through a load) and put in two orders to have it fixed but it never seemed to solve the problem. The staff was at best, okay. Sometimes it felt as if I were inconveniencing them. When we left, it took three months to agree on the cost of damage to the apartment. We managed to work it down from $1,600 to $1,100 mostly from carpet damage but were also charged for cleaning once we left. Overall, Im torn between loving the space and hating the ending bill.
I have had the worst experience with Forest Hill Village Apartments this week. On August 8, 2018 my two younger daughters who are ages 2 and 5 and myself came into our living room and could see a large man standing on our balcony and he was going through our belongings. My girls run to the kitchen crying and scared and I grab my phone to call the cops. I stop because I then see this guy grab a power washer hose and he then begins to spray all of our belongings that are on our balcony. I start yelling at him to stop and he just looks at me with a smug face and continues to spray all our belongings! He continues until everything is wet. I called my husband instead once I realized they had been power washing the front of the building the day before. He instantly calls the office to tell them what is going on and no one answers. He calls back a couple of times and finally gets an answer. They said that they gave everyone notice that they would be power washing. They said they left notes on everyones door. I never received one. Never received an email either. I have never had an issue on any other maintenance they have done and have always gotten a notice when work was going to be done. I dont understand why I didnt this time. While my husband is speaking to the office Im still yelling for them to stop. Since they didnt want to listen to me and I couldnt go outside to move my wet belongings inside, I started taking pictures of them doing this. So I have the proof. The lady in the office apologizes for it all happening and says they shouldnt be back and that we can speak to the manager the next day. Im more upset that they contined to ruin my belongings instead of stopping. And they have no right to go through my things.About an hour later another man comes back. Puts a ladder against our balcony and starts spraying more of our belongings. Both my little girls are screaming and crying because they are spraying our belongings AGAIN and then start spraying the door so I couldnt even get outside to stop it a second time. And honestly I was not comfortable confronting them because I was home alone with two little girls. This other man that is now spraying our belongings starts smiling at my girls while he powerwashes our belongings and while we are screaming for him to stop. These men even sprayed my daughters little bird feeder that she made. There was no reason to be this way. So again I take more pictures of him doing it. He sees me taking pictures and continues to power wash our belongings. But as he sees me taking pictures he steps down on the ladder so you could onlo see his head barely and he reaches his arm up and continues to power wash! I was in shock this was happening again. I took pictures of him doing this too.I understand that miscommunication can happen in apartment buildings and somehow I must not of gotten a note on my door but that still doesnt give anyone a right to go through my belongings and purposely power wash them while I yell for them to stop. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unsafe in my own home before. And I feel as though the office is not taking this incident serious enough. It is now Friday and we still have not been able to speak with the manager. We are told we have to wait till Monday. We told the other lady in the office we will be moving out. We are going to have to break our lease. My children have been traumatized and keep worrying that someone is going to break in. They do not feel safe here. I dont feel safe here. Im very upset that this situation isnt being taken serious enough by the office. I have not had any issues before this with Forest Hill Village Apartments and everyone in the office is usually very helpful and caring. Im not sure what to do next. Wish I could give them a better review and I hope to give them an updated review if they choose to handle this situation better.
The staff is very slow with any work orders. They also came up with a ton of phony charges when we moved out. Save yourself the headaches and find a nicer place!
Bottom line, dont live here. I lived at Forest Hill Village, and this place is a total dump. The staff does not do any cleaning on the stairwells, so dead bugs and spiderwebs build up to the point that they are flatly disgusting to walk through. The pool is closed for maintenance every summer. They don’t enforce dog cleaning policy, so there is literally poop everywhere outside. The final insult came out after we had moved out. We had lived in the apartment for a few years, and the carpets needed to be replaced. We received a bill, for the cleaning, with a due date of July 15th. They sent our case to a collection agency before the 15th, and on July 11th a thug from the collections agency called my wife, threatened her, and lied about our account being past due. These people are the definition of slumlords, and the holding company, Pacific Living, is to blame. I would recommend avoiding all of their properties, as I believe that the failures of Forest Hill Village are not unique to this property.
Never have I been so inconvenience as when Ive lived here there is always something going on that shuts down some of the parking so theres never any free parkingx
Will continue to update as we live here longer...Just moved in about a week ago, unfortunately, we werent able to see our apartment that we had on hold for a month until two days before move in. We got a 2 bed/1.75 bath 1150 Sq ft. Apt. We are on the middle floor. If we had seen it sooner, we probably would have not moved in. When we came to view, we already started hearing the upstairs neighbors walking everywhere. The creaks were already going and to this day, they got like 5 kids and adults up there walking around....allllllll daaaayyy loooooonng. We hear the water going, the peeing (grooossss), and the toilet flushing... were just happy we dont hear them talking...Other issues: assigned covered parking spot is in the corner for us where tons of spiders end up making webs on the car and part of the space is gravel. Three glass doors take up too much space and only one part opens. The oven is outdated...the dishwasher is trash. Kitchen, you wouldve thought would be huge but no, no counter space. The washer dryer stackable can only fit one load so if you like doing laundry everyday, youll love it! (Unfortunately, we dont have time like that)The closets in the room are tiny...the big ones are in the bathroom (who thought of that idea???). Who wants mold to grow on their clothes??Maintenance crew is very nice but were starting to see some problems with them getting the work done. We put in work orders and had to go remind them for them to do it after a week of no show. Still no towel bar in the main bath...but everything else was done.Recycle is always full cause they do it once a week.If you like the sound of trains, you will hear that often. You will still hear police go by...its not that secluded up here. Not on a bus route either. I take the bus to work and have to walk a mile to get to the closest one.As a review I read earlier, yes, some neighbors like to slam doors (cause the doors are auto close) and leave the outside security door open. One of our neighbors love to smoke (which is our fault for not picking a smoke-free community). As far as management goes, Crystal and Bella are nice ladies. They are professional and have worked with us when we thought we wouldnt be able to get this place. Its unfortunate that the apt. isnt up to what we would have liked.....and were still waiting for our move-in gift of pizza and drinks....^-^*Hopefully, in the future our move - out goes smoothly unlike some people have reviewed aboutUpdate: 1 year later.Nothing has improved. Upstairs neighbors moved out thankfully so it was quiet for about a couple months. Downstairs neighbor moved out a few months ago (thank god because it was a couple who loved yelling at each other all night long with slamming doors). We have nice and quiet downstairs neighbors now. HOWEVER, we just got new upstairs neighbor and they are like an elephant stampede as soon as they get home till early morning. They have a few kids also who they love yelling at, opening the glass door and slamming it, crying kids, bunch of loud noises, and of course, the kids room is right above us. Weve complained to management every time we go there and they keep saying well let them know. Well, NOTHING is getting better! Cant they come up with a better idea?!? Give them a warning, something! Forget re-leasing, our rent for 2 bed/2 bath was $1120 for 1150 Sq feet, which is decent....but now its jumped up to $1210!!! Gonna be moving after our 10 months is up. This place is ridiculous.
They dont tend to their tenants in reasonable times. Floods ruining apartments and lazy staff
Love it here
Quasa and Brittani were absolutely fabulous throughout the whole move in process. As I am sure everyone knows, moving is stressful enough as it is, but both of them completely took care of my needs and answered any questions I had promptly. I received a call every few days, checking in to make sure if I needed anything, and that I understood the move in process. They even provided a welcome home goodie bag for me and my service animal. Very pleased with them both and look forward to working with them in the future.Malissa CoyForest Hill Village resident.
I went in to view an apartment recently i loved the layouts and brittani was amazing to work with and super friendly!! i definitely would recommend!
