I could not find Shuping here, turned out she opened her own salon Asian Beauty Salon. It is located on the Second floor of Asia food market. I am writing to let people like me know where to find Shuping.

I went in for my first waxing session with Jen, and although she is a sweetheart, this was the worst experience i’ve ever had with someone waxing me. She used the same stick and strip over and over again, which was so unsanitary, and was applying the wax in the opposite direction of the hair; pulling it and did not rub strip before or after pulling it off my skin. she put me in the most uncomfortable and awkward positions to be waxed and would rip the strips so hard that i bruised instantly. i also was unable to ensure all the hair was off like she said it was because there was not a single mirror in sight. she was the only one able to see what she was waxing and still let me leave with patches of hair still on my body. it was so much money for such a job poorly executed. i later noticed the hair when i got home and called her back, to which she told me she had 15 minutes to fix it, when i shouldn’t have had to go back in the first place, i paid almost 200$ for something that should’ve been done correctly the first time. 0/10 would not recommend this service.

When you walk in, you realize quickly that it is a converted house. The place is unorganized and doesnt appear to be a professional spa. The waxer uses soft wax. She went over my skin so many times and still left a lot of patches of hair behind. I got no aftercare tips and I had to pay before the service, which isnt something Im accustomed to. I wouldnt recommend it.

Gel Polish chipped the next day. A big lump of polish on my thumb. I did receive a refund and they were very helpful. This does not ignore the fact that it should have been done right in the first place. Be vocal about the mistakes they make, because they will fix them.

My hair goes very well with Shuping’s work. She’s a skilled barber and also a nice person.

I just got my hair done at Garbos for the first time yesterday. I was able to get in immediately because they are very well staffed and cater to busy college students like myself. They were incredibly nice and immediately made my experience enjoyable by offering me water and magazines while I waited for my highlights and hair color to process. Kristi, my hairstylist and the manager, did an incredible job and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it!! I highly recommend this place and I will for sure. be returning!

Amazing service

I went in to see Desire today to have a color correction and cut. The staff was so nice and helpful (I am not at all good with cosmetology—I leave it to the pros!) Desire did an amazing job of consulting with me an explaining how to use color and highlights to enhance my natural coloring. She did an amazing job correcting a color that was done at another salon (not well). She took time to give me a great cut that moved with me and gave me a wow factor! I walked out of the salon swinging my hair like I was a hair model! It is wonderful! I can not say how overjoyed and happy I am with my experience! Making an appointment was so easy and the front desk staff was SO nice and made me feel like a welcome client! I didn’t have to wait 9 month to get on the book (which is the normal lead time where I live for a salon), and I can’t wait to go back. I can’t recommend this salon highly enough!

All of the women working here were fantastic, they did fabulous job taking care of my wife. From her hair cut and color, right down to her pedicure.

Waxing: inconsistent staff skills.The first time I ever had a full Brazilian waxing was at Garbos. It was a GREAT experience. The woman was quick, understanding, patient with me, and cleaned me up well afterward, even coaching me on how to care for it. It was a wonderful experience and couldnt say more great things about it.So I decided to return a few months later for a repeat experience. It was a different woman who took a much longer time to complete, there are patches of hair she missed, and there was still wax left on my skin following the appointment. It was an AWFUL experience. Would not want to go again based on this, especially for the cost.I wish there was more consistency between experiences. The first one was so positive and the second was so disappointing.

I have been coming here for YEARS. Very convenient location, and amazing staff. I come here for my hair, nails, waxing, and tanning. I can outmost say that I can come to anyone here for my services. Much love for my Garbo’s girls.

I donated my hair to Pantene at the Relay for Life this past weekend. We were under the impression that Garbos was going to cut off our hair and let us come to the salon the following day and get it styled for a discounted price. It turns out that Garbos had the fate of the Relay wrong in their calendar and never showed. A volunteer/college student from the Relay ended up having to cut our hair with a pair of paper-cutting scissors (she had cut hair before and I am very greatful she was able to do it!)You would think that Garbos would give us free haircuts due to missing the Relay, but they only gave us a $10 discount (I paid $25) like they have for several years.I showed up to my appointment 30 minutes early because I prefer to be early in case someone misses an appointment. The woman who did my hair took me as soon as I came in, and as soon as we went to wash my hair, the hair dressers 2 oclock appointment showed up and had to wait. The dresser took maybe 30 seconds to wet down my hair and wash it. Then she only evened out my hair to make it all straight and set me on my way. It turns out that my hair is still uneven. She also didnt give me layers and bangs like I wanted. She was very rushed.I called today and was able to get my money back, but the manager in the phone was very annoyed (Im not sure if it was with me or with the hair dresser), but was nice to me in person and was very apologetic which I appreciate.

I went for a haircut on a Tuesday afternoon, called in beforehand.Was given time with Jess or Jaz as I was told by the person on the counter. I requested the person to clean her equipment which she plain refused to ( although the previous person had left moments ago and no human could possibly clean the equipment in the time that had passed).I requested to cut the uneven hair and edges on the back and over my ears, after she completed the haircut in under 10 minutes the whole time acting irritated and blazing through the whole thing. She said if I dont want her uncleaned trimmer, it will not be possibleI settled on getting the side burns cut leaving extremely uneven hair at the back.Easily my worst experience at a barbershop/hair salon

NOT SANITARY AT ALL. The lady who waxed me did not use gloves and used the same waxing stick during my service which is illegal! she also waxed me wrong. Good thing it was only my arms. Disgusted.
