Total scam. Took payment for nothing. Made an insulting offer for my vehicle which wasnt for sale. Lucky they have a deal with AAA or wouldnt last in the open market.
Service has gotten worse. This time it was good/okayish.I am dissatisfied with how long it has taken to fix my Fathers car. Hes used Spicer Auto exclusively since 1984.He keeps being loyal. Never gets any favors for being loyal since 1984.I am disappointed about how he is treated.
Thanks Mary Beth Spicer for all your help and for making buying a car so easy! Listened to me, stuck to my budget and took great care of me. Highly recommend.
We had our car towed here because it was the closest and AAA approved. It was on a Friday so we didnt expect weekend service but when we called on Monday they said they wouldnt be able to look at it until Wednesday. We called on Wednesday and they said it was the alternator and they wouldnt be able to give us a price right away. We called back on Friday and they had installed a new battery without even asking for almost $200 and then quoted over $800 for just the alternator before labor. In the meantime I had spoken to my regular mechanic who quoted me just over $300 for the part. AAA was nice enough to tow it to my own mechanic after all that nonsense where the final bill with an oil change was just over $600.Obviously this is the kind of shop that gives car mechanics a bad reputation. They get you in there and charge whatever they want and in their own sweet time.
On August 20, 2014, I was traveling through the Syracuse area when my car started leaking fluid during a gas refill. I was referred to Spicers by an area merchant because they were known to be reliable and nearby. They quickly diagnosed that my car needed a new water pump. It was near the end of the day and my family was facing being stranded without a car while repairs were made. The management and mechanics at Spicers were extremely helpful. A mechanic stayed beyond his normal quitting time to work on my car immediately. The work was performed quickly and at a very reasonable cost. The management even arranged to drive my family to a nearby shopping center while I waited for the car repairs to be completed.I highly recommend Spicers for their professionalism and skills, especially concerning the circumstances my family was facing.
Spicers Auto Center is honest, fair priced and does great work.I would recommend them to my friends and family.
I recently purchased a vehicle from Spicers after my car died unexpectedly. After I had shopped at pretty much every dealership, I realized Spicers auto was the only establishment offering me a great value. The vehicle I bought is reliable and the service I recieved was excellent and personal. They are knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. I will be using their service for the life of this vehicle happily!
Jim and his guys at Spicers have taken great care of our vehicles. Weve gone there for repairs, tires, and even bought a nice used vehicle for my daughter from them. They can do mechanical and auto body repairs as well, so check them out for any vehicle maintenance that you need done.
They do great work and always give me a fair price
Quick and easy service in far less time than I expected.
Crepe place very experienced people thank you
I take all of our vehicles here. Friendly service and not overly priced.
Ive used them for decades and I trust them. They will tell you when a repair is not worth doing. I drive my cars til they die. I wait for them to tell me when to junk it and use the money on a new car.
