I was in town from Rochester for the day and had an issue with my car starting after gassing up at the Byrne dairy down the street on my way home. These guys went out of their way to help me out and took care of me then and there. I’ve never had as good an experience with any mechanic before. They know what they are doing and they do it honestly and reliably and in loyal service to their customers. It’s hard to get some mechanics to want to look at your car let alone walk down the street and crawl under your car at a gas station. After my experience I would consider driving to Syracuse to have these guys work on my car anytime something is wrong with it! I really appreciate all you did and am thankful for you patience and understanding while helping me get my car back on the road.

These guys went above and beyond to help us out when we showed up with a blown out tire. Ran into a lot of issues with the car and tire and these guys navigated them all with complete professionalism and outstanding customer service. I was on my way to a job when the tire blew out so I was already running behind and these guys got it done right away, they have definitely earned out future business and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family! THIS is my auto mechanic. Hes always honest about repairs and has been consistently cheaper than other places. I just got two vehicles back and am having a 3rd repaired now (wife, self & adult child). Hes always busy and... theres a reason.

You would think that after I spent $1,800 with them to get a new transmission put in they would be faster at servicing my issues. Dropped my van off Friday afternoon and had to pick it up Sunday since nobody looked at it. Not even to diagnose the issue I was having. When I did have the transmission done it took a whole week and had to keep calling in for updates. They do good work they take their sweet time doing it. Guess Im not coming back.

They were honest and flexible at the beginning of us using them over 2 years ago. Then recently we had an issue which our car was there for there for over 11 months. 5 of those months was going bk and forth with warranty company but the rest was the garage. Then we got car bk and it lasted 1 week before it died again. We bought 3 parts and had car towed there. A few days later said parts were installed but still issue. Went to get car, wouldnt start and parts were still in the passenger seat and not even opened

First let me just say that the mechanics at C&B auto actually does really good work on your car (when they ACTUALLY work on it) That much I can say but when it comes to customer service and professionalism! YOU CAN FORGET IT!! The previous posts are true when it comes to time management. I feel that Brian honestly takes on more than he can chew but thats just my opinion! Just got my car back on the road after having a baby and my brother passing away last year. I take my car here because Joe from Mavis referred me to C&B Auto. I took my car in on June 9th. Brian told me what was wrong with it and that he needed to send one of his guys out for a part so it can pass inspection. I didnt get my car back until the 11th and he only fixed my tire rod. Not mention I had to call and leave messages to get an update on my car. Never called me back ONCE while my car was there, being worked on. Brian told me to give him a couple days and hell get the part. It is now July 14th and still no part. He told me tomorrow he should know something but how can you trust that when its already been a month? And Im sure hes had someone go out for parts within the past month. Honestly I would have been satisfied with him telling me he couldnt help me instead of giving me false hope and the run around. Which is why I say I think he bites off more than he can chew. I believe Brian means well but really its no excuse for this type of service. He tried to blame it on my car being 15 years old in regards to labor and how long it took the first time. Maybe he think I am ignorant when it comes to cars because Im a woman but he couldnt be more wrong. I didnt understand why the other repairs couldnt be done that didnt need parts or why they wasnt done while my car was there for two days.$ 223 dollars later for a tire rod on a 2003 Honda Civic. My reason for giving even 1 stars is because yes my car is riding better. With the 1 out of 4 repairs he said that needed to be done on my car.Truly frustrating and sad how hard it is to find good and honest auto shops these days. With so much going on around us! Really sad. Now Im back at square one. So thats my honest review and honestly I feel the owner should take heed to these reviews instead of defending them with excuses because everyone cant be wrong when it comes to customer service, professionalism and time management. Maybe he picks and choose who he wants to give quality service to.

I called on Friday and Brian got me in the next business day. I was provided the quote for the repair and my vehicle was immediately repaired. The staff was very friendly from the moment I arrived and their honesty was a pleasant surprise to the inflated quotes that other shops had quoted me before I found this shop. I highly recommend this shop.

C&B Auto is great. Theyre honest, their labor rate is less than a lot of shops in the area. Dunn Tire said with my AAA discount my tire would cost $120 but Brian put the new, exact brand of tire on for $75! Hes very fair, upfront and all the guys are nice and professional. I really appreciate it. He often goes above and beyond the auto issues Ive brought him. Thanks guys!

My Dad was an exceptional master auto mechanic. He taught me all I know and then some. He told me to ALWAYS have a good mechanic at hand and when you find a good one, cherish him. For many years I did not have one and my auto repairs and inspections were truly haphazard. Could have been worse, but thats just not good enough for me. C&B Auto prices are affordable and Brian and his posse all seem to be top notch and they listen when you talk to them. I dont want to rave so much that I no longer can get an appointment, but on the other hand I owe it to my Dad to respect his advice when it was sound and to give praise where praise is due; thanks where thanks is due. For the quality of work that you get here you would expect them to be expensive, but on the contrary they are one of the least expensive in the area. they are extremely knowledgeable on all things automotive and they do it with a very friendly demeanor. I highly recommend them for everything from simple oil changes to complex engine work.

Brian and Bob were the best of people to deal with. My car brakes gave up on the highway and I was stuck in Syracuse. Had it towed to them on a Saturday morning and he fixed my car within 30 minutes with the cheapest price. Brian was the best to talk to while we were waiting and it felt like we had known him for ages, very friendly. Knew what they were doing and helped me out. Gave me all the confidence to get back on the road after what I had experienced with the brakes. I would definitely go back to their business.

I don’t recommend going here, these people will take your money and not fix the problem I spent $500 and they just reset your lights and caused more problems please don’t go to these people.

Maybe it was my mistake hoping for customer service from a repair shop, or at least thats what the workers told me. I had my car dropped off for work on Wednesday while I was out of the country for 4 days, unreachable. So i left a contact name and number for them to reach and talk to on my behalf. The part was replaced but never run through a drive cycle. This is okay, but i left it for 4 days hoping that someone could drive it once to see whats up or at least call and give an update. Nothing. By Sunday they didnt reach out to contact me or the name and number i left. Yes, I understand things take time to repair, but a job you were told takes a day and you dont hear back in 4 is pretty bad. So I have to agree with the coworker who smoothly threw his manager under the bus saying in the shop he is terrible in the office. If you do work with them, make sure you stay on them, because they will not contact you about your car.

Ive known Brian for a long time, and I dont know why I havent been taking my car here all along. Service is fast and friendly, and theyre straight shooters. I rediscovered C&B after having a bad experience at another shop where a $2000 repair didnt fix the problem I brought it in for, after a week without a car. Brian looked at my car for free, correctly diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes, and advised me how to address it with the other mechanic, after which it was clear where I should have been bringing my car all along. I havent been disappointed, since. We have kids and drive older vehicles, and it feels good to know we can count on C&B to always make sure we are driving safe vehicles, but also that we arent paying money we cant afford for repairs we dont need. Brian is also great at finding creative ways to save us money, when he can. Thanks, guys!

Always great work very hard working staff

Took the wifes Jeep to these guys regarding a check engine light. Ended up needing new rear suspension to pass inspection. They did a smoke test because it was small evap code. Replaced a few hoses said it was fixed after $600 bill. Took it home check engine light came back on. Took it back the next day replaced a few more hoses. Same issue. This went on for a few weeks and they even put 260 miles on the Jeep after getting it back. Same issue, problem was never fixed. Needless to say we where both disappointed. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone who needs car work done. Maybe just an oil change. Brian did refund me the money for the smoke test for the leak. But other than that the problem wasnt fixed for 3 weeks. Stay away!

Miss Kate Gossen. I am a little confused with your review. I understand that you may have been upset with what you feel may have been a lack of communication on my part. However, we did drive your vehicle to ready the monitors after the repair, unfortunately your car did not cooperate so the NYS Inspection Computer would not pass your car. This wasnt for a lack of trying. But your review feels more like a personal attack rather that a professional one. If I recall correctly didnt you have one of the Big Muffler chain shops do over a thousand dollars worth of repairs to your vehicle only to have them tell you after that they are not qualified or trained in how to do emission related repairs? Thats when they recommended you to come to us. Also when you picked up you car we didnt even charge you at the time with the understanding that you would return after the monitors went ready You drove the car from Sunday to Tuesday, came back in and the monitors still were not ready. You left with the vehicle, came back on Friday and finally success. I then preformed the Inspection and the State Computer passed it. For all of this you were charged a little over $200 (including tax) and I apologized for not getting in touch with you and for your car taking so long. I wish you didnt have the bad experience that you did, I try to be reasonable and accommodate my customers any way I can. This is not just some garage I work for but is my Business and my Livelihood.....Brian Edson
