2 days before a long road trip, I needed my brakes serviced and brought him the parts. He called me to tell me that my parts wouldnt work, and needed to upsell me on his parts.Then he burned off my cv boots removing the brakes and didnt tell me. I only found out because I was scheduled for an inspection the next day and the inspector was not impressed with Mikes job. I called Mike 15-20 times to rectify and he didnt answer. so I had to pay the inspection station $600 for new cv boots and labor.Mike called back the next day and I ask him to reimburse me for at least 1/2 because of the damage hed done. He told me:1. I should have called him to fix it2. He should have charged me more than his quote because it was hard to do.3. He wasnt going to pay me back 1/2 of my cost because I already got a deal from him.0/10. Wouldnt recommend.

Beyond pleased with the services Gwynns Automotive provided to me. Previous 2 garages wanted to replace expensive ($4000+) parts on 2012 vehicle and Gwynns was able to weld, fabricate and repair instead for $450! Same day service - customer service was phenomenal!!

I was referred to Gwynns by Walmart’s auto dept. manager. For years I’ve brought them my truck and car problems, and each time they charge considerably LESS than Midas, Goodyear, Installations Unlimited etc. I’m satisfied with the work they’ve done and their paint job came out looking real good. One time they replaced a part that leaked when I got home, I brought it back in and they fixed it, same day and no charge.

Jimmy is the guy! He is so helpful and knowledgeable. Even after I purchased my car from them and drove it all the way back home to Las Vegas. Jimmy was there to help when NVDMV need questions answered.

Gwynns Automotive has serviced both my Hot Rod and my Work Truck. The work is always done correctly and with care and expertise. More than that though to me is the fact that Mike Gwynn is a good guy who means well and thats what really keeps me going back. I had some autobody work done and my car came out looking great! They do both mechanics and Autobody work. Ask for Mike he will cook you a steak while they work on your car! My new go to shop.

I highly recommend Gwynns. On a friends recommendation, I took my 10 year old subaru there for some custom exhaust work--they saved me over $1000 versus the chain muffler shops, who would only replace my pipes instead of repairing them. Gwynns did the repair (which included fabricating some new stuff) and did it well. Fair, honest, straightforward. Will definitely return.

Gwynns is not only convenient because its right down the street from where I live, but its the only place I will take my car for body work. These guys check everything and go way beyond my expectations, as with previous experiences I have learned not to expect quality service for the quality prices they charge. Great for quick service, especially when you need to get in immediately. Honest owner and employees, dont try and sell you what you dont need like the chains do.

This is in response to the negative review listed twice here. First receipts are not given hand written on notebook paper. Second, the parts he brought himself were incorrect for the job application. The increase in price difference was directly related to the increase in quality and standard markup costs. If in fact the cv boots were damaged during removal of corroded caliper hardware it was not evident at the time of repair. However one phone call was received after the allegedly damaged cv boots had already been replaced at an astronomical price of $500, considering this part costs $10 each. If notified of the damage prior to replacement performed by a third party it absolutely would have been repaired free of charge.

Mike gywnns does great work and he is very honest he does it all to and hes very Fair with his prices so if you need any automotive work done or paint work done and if your into race cars and you want to have your front wheels to come off the ground hes the Man to do the job if you have the money but anyway hes a great guy and very respectabel thanks mike for all the great work that you have done on my cars
